Abstract

Population growth results in increasing demand for residential space and built-up land. This will have an impact on the environment, namely reducing the quality of green open spaces in carrying out ecological functions. As happened in Denpasar City, one of which is in the North Denpasar area. The availability of green open space in Denpasar City is dominated by private green open spaces originating from residential areas, namely residential yards. However, as in the Peguyangan Kangin Village Area, even though it is dominated by residential areas where land use is privately owned, the provision of private open space is actually very minimal. It is feared that this dynamic will have a negative impact on the surrounding environment in the future. Therefore, it is important to carry out this research with the aim of analyzing the quality of private green open space in terms of its ecological function and the availability of private green open space in the Peguyangan Kangin Village area. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The object of research will focus on private green open space in residential yards in Peguyangan Kangin Village. The research results show that in general the quality of private green open space in residential yards in the Peguyangan Kangin area is not optimal, both in terms of area and vegetation in carrying out ecological functions. The research results also show that there are several factors that influence the quality of private green open space, one of the most dominant of which is land availability.

Abstract

Football is a popular sport in Indonesia, but experienced stagnation after Dutch colonialism due to lack of facilities and parental support. In Badung Regency, Bali Province, there has been an increase in the development of football, even though some clubs do not yet meet FIFA/PSSI standards. Of the 22 clubs, 18 have their own fields, but 4 clubs have to rent them. This affects player consistency and resource usage. Therefore, the construction of a football training center in Badung Regency is proposed to improve the facilities and quality of football in the area. This center will provide outdoor, indoor fields, changing rooms, fitness center, swimming pool, cafeteria and classrooms with modern designs that pay attention to functional and environmentally friendly aspects. It is hoped that this center will become an example for other regions in Indonesia and fulfill the community's needs in watching and developing football.

Abstract

Taman Ayun Temple is one of the grandest temples in Bali, which has been designated as a World Cultural Heritage site by UNESCO since 2012. This designation significantly influenced the tourist attraction dynamics based on the 4A components: attraction, accessibility, amenities, and ancillary services. This study aims to analyze the existing condition of these components within and around the site using a descriptive qualitative methodology. Data were collected through direct field observations and comprehensive surveys conducted by the researcher, alongside literature reviews and in-depth interviews with the temple management. The findings indicate that while the historical attractions, layout, and structural authenticity remain highly appealing and deeply rooted in the Tri Mandala spatial concept, certain challenges exist. Based on the primary survey, issues such as material weathering from natural aging, uneven paving on pedestrian access roads, a lack of comprehensive localized informational signage for facilities, and English communication limitations among local vendors and staff were identified. Continuous periodic maintenance, strategic infrastructural upgrades, and language capacity building are essential to sustaining the site's global prominence and preserving its architectural heritage.

Abstract

Buleleng Regency is one of the clove production centers in Bali Province with significant potential to support the local community’s economy, particularly in Umejero Village, Busungbiu District. However, the decline in clove productivity caused by traditional post-harvest processing methods, limited availability of superior seedlings, and the lack of educational facilities for farmers has become a major issue that needs to be addressed. This report discusses the planning and design of an Educational-Based Clove Processing and Cultivation Center in Umejero Village as an integrated solution to overcome these challenges. The purpose of this design is to provide a facility that integrates processing, cultivation, seedling production, research, and educational functions within a well-planned area. This design is expected to improve harvest quality, production efficiency, the availability of superior seedlings, and farmers’ knowledge and skills through sustainable training and educational activities. The design results demonstrate the implementation of the Community Integration with Nature concept through a tropical architectural approach that responds to local climatic and environmental conditions, realized through building mass arrangement, natural ventilation, optimal lighting, and the use of local materials. The presence of this facility is expected to support the sustainability of clove commodities, improve farmers’ welfare, and become a center for clove agribusiness development in Buleleng Regency.
