Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology has made smartphones essential devices for supporting various daily activities. Intensive smartphone usage may lead to hardware and software failures, while users' limited knowledge in identifying these failures often results in improper troubleshooting. This study aims to design and develop a web-based expert system for diagnosing smartphone failures using the Forward Chaining method. The system was developed through requirements analysis, expert knowledge acquisition, knowledge base design, rule base construction, method implementation, and system testing. The knowledge base consists of 15 symptoms, 10 types of smartphone failures, and 20 diagnostic rules. The results of Black Box Testing showed that all system functions operated according to the specified requirements with a 100% success rate. Furthermore, validation using 20 test cases demonstrated that 19 system diagnoses were consistent with expert diagnoses, resulting in an accuracy of 95%. The developed expert system can assist users and technicians in performing initial smartphone failure diagnosis quickly, accurately, and efficiently.

Abstract

Assessing sharia financing eligibility is a critical process for Islamic microfinance institutions such as Baitul Maal wat Tamwil (BMT), as inaccurate financing decisions may increase financing risk and affect institutional sustainability. However, financing evaluations are often conducted manually and rely heavily on subjective judgment, leading to inconsistencies and potential bias in decision-making. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of Correlation-Based Feature Selection (CFS) in identifying relevant financing attributes and to compare the classification performance of the Naïve Bayes and Decision Tree (J48) algorithms for sharia financing eligibility assessment. The dataset used in this study consists of 500 historical financing records obtained from BMT Indragiri, comprising 127 eligible and 373 ineligible financing applications. The research process included data preprocessing, feature selection using CFS with the BestFirst search strategy, model construction, and classification using WEKA 3.8. Model performance was evaluated using 10-fold cross-validation based on accuracy, precision, recall, F1-score, Kappa statistic, and Area Under the Curve (AUC). The feature selection results showed that all predictor attributes, namely income, number of dependents, employment status, and financing history, were retained by the CFS algorithm, indicating that each attribute contributes relevant information to financing eligibility classification. Experimental results revealed that the Naïve Bayes classifier achieved an accuracy of 92.4%, precision of 92.3%, recall of 92.4%, F1-score of 92.2%, Kappa statistic of 0.7896, and AUC of 0.971. Meanwhile, the Decision Tree (J48) classifier achieved superior performance with an accuracy of 95.6%, precision of 95.7%, recall of 95.6%, F1-score of 95.6%, Kappa statistic of 0.8851, and AUC of 0.957. In addition, the Decision Tree model generated 23 decision rules and a tree size of 42 nodes, providing transparent and interpretable knowledge to support financing eligibility assessment. The findings indicate that the Decision Tree (J48) algorithm outperformed Naïve Bayes in classifying sharia financing eligibility and offers the additional advantage of interpretable decision rules. The proposed approach can support more objective, consistent, and transparent financing decision-making processes in Islamic microfinance institutions.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan meningkatkan kesiapan karir mahasiswa Generasi Z di Institut Teknologi Mitra Gama melalui optimalisasi soft skill dan pemahaman riil dunia kerja digital. Permasalahan mendasar yang diidentifikasi adalah tingginya penguasaan kompetensi teknis (hard skill) mahasiswa rumpun teknologi yang sayangnya belum diimbangi secara maksimal oleh kematangan soft skill, kecerdasan emosional, kelincahan beradaptasi, serta pemahaman etika profesional. Kegiatan edukatif ini diselenggarakan oleh Pusat Karir Institut Teknologi Mitra Gama dengan mengadopsi pendekatan Participatory Action Learning System (PALS). Pelaksanaan program diwujudkan melalui metode lokakarya interaktif, simulasi penyelesaian studi kasus, dan praktik wawancara kerja terstruktur menggunakan teknik STAR. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan ini menunjukkan peningkatan tajam pada kapasitas kognitif dan afektif seluruh peserta. Hal tersebut dibuktikan secara kuantitatif melalui lonjakan perolehan nilai rata-rata pre-test dari 52,4 menjadi 86,7 pada saat post-test. Sebagai langkah tindak lanjut berkelanjutan, Pusat Karir memfasilitasi layanan konseling karir intensif guna mengawal kesuksesan transisi seluruh mahasiswa menuju persaingan keras dunia profesional secara lebih komprehensif dan suportif

Abstract

Pengelolaan persediaan material pada Warehouse Unrecord Material Electric dan Mechanical PT. Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Perawang masih dilakukan secara manual menggunakan pencatatan pada lembaran kertas, sehingga menimbulkan berbagai kendala seperti kesulitan dalam pengontrolan stok, pencarian lokasi penyimpanan barang, serta pemantauan aktivitas barang masuk dan keluar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun aplikasi warehouse berbasis web yang mampu mengelola data persediaan material secara efektif serta mendukung penataan ruang penyimpanan menggunakan metode Class Based Storage (CBS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka untuk pengumpulan data, sedangkan pengembangan sistem dilakukan melalui tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan menggunakan Unified Modeling Language (UML), implementasi menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dengan framework Laravel dan basis data MySQL, serta pengujian menggunakan metode Black Box Testing. Data yang digunakan berupa data barang masuk, barang keluar, stok material, serta frekuensi perpindahan material pada gudang Unrecord Material Electric dan Mechanical. Metode CBS diterapkan dengan menghitung kebutuhan ruang penyimpanan (space requirement), frekuensi perpindahan material (throughput), dan penentuan kelas penyimpanan berdasarkan tingkat aktivitas material. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi yang dibangun mampu mengelola data persediaan secara terkomputerisasi, memudahkan proses pencarian informasi stok, mengontrol aktivitas barang masuk dan keluar, serta membantu penataan lokasi penyimpanan material berdasarkan tingkat frekuensi penggunaannya. Dengan demikian, aplikasi warehouse berbasis web yang dikembangkan dapat meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi pengelolaan gudang serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan dalam pengelolaan persediaan material.

Abstract

Proses pembelajaran sejarah keislaman, khususnya materi keteladanan para sahabat Rasulullah SAW, memiliki peran penting dalam pembentukan karakter siswa. Namun, sistem pembelajaran pada SD IT ADZKIA 1 PADANG saat ini masih bergantung pada media cetak berupa buku paket dan LKS yang bersifat statis, sehingga memicu kejenuhan dan kurang efektif dalam menarik minat belajar secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan inovasi media pembelajaran interaktif guna memecahkan permasalahan pedagogis tersebut. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan Research and Development (R&D) dengan integrasi metode Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC). Tahapan pengembangan mencakup pengonsepan, perancangan arsitektur sistem berbasis Unified Modelling Language (UML), pengumpulan bahan, perakitan menggunakan Adobe Flash CS6, pengujian, hingga distribusi. Aplikasi ini memuat fitur navigasi biografi hierarkis, galeri visual, dan modul evaluasi kuis terstruktur yang beroperasi secara penuh secara offline. Evaluasi kelayakan sistem dilakukan melalui Black-box testing yang membuktikan fungsionalitas teknis berjalan tanpa error (100% valid), serta User Acceptance Test (UAT) menggunakan instrumen yang telah tervalidasi. Hasil uji UAT terhadap guru dan siswa memperoleh nilai rata-rata akumulatif sebesar 88,4% (kategori "Sangat Layak"). Secara ilmiah, nilai empiris tersebut membuktikan bahwa rancang bangun multimedia ini bukan sekadar alat peraga digital biasa, melainkan instrumen edukasi yang terbukti efektif mentransformasi pola belajar pasif menjadi pengalaman kognitif yang interaktif. Sistem ini secara signifikan mampu meningkatkan ketertarikan, antusiasme, serta memicu daya ingat siswa dalam memahami sejarah 60 Sirah Sahabat.

Abstract

Field Work Practice (PKL) serves to bridge the gap between the competencies taught in higher education and the actual needs of the business and industrial sectors (DU/DI). However, the effectiveness of PKL is often hindered by a focus on administrative guidance alone. This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance the capacity of Field Supervisors (DPL) at the Mitra Gama Institute of Technology (ITMG) as the internal target audience. The activity was held on May 1–3, 2025, in the ITMG Auditorium for a duration of 24 instructional hours, involving 30 active faculty members at Mitra Gama Institute of Technology who were selected based on specific inclusion criteria. The implementation methods included technical guidance, focus group discussions (FGDs), and workshops. The activity was evaluated using a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design through structured questionnaires, as well as an analysis of the feasibility of the Follow-Up Action Plan (RTL) documents. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. The results of the program showed an increase in participants’ cognitive knowledge and managerial readiness, as evidenced by a 38% increase in the average post-test score compared to the pre-test score. In addition, the program successfully facilitated the preparation of 30 independent Action Plan (RTL) documents and produced an institutional output in the form of a draft proposal for restructuring the internship evaluation rubric with a 50:50 ratio.

Abstract

Advances in communication and information technology have transformed various sectors, including the retail sector. Toko Pustaka Muslim in Bengkalis Regency, which sells Muslim products, previously relied on manual processes for recording transactions and managing inventory. This led to inefficiency, errors in transaction recording, and delays in decision making. To overcome this problem, this study designed a web-based information system that automates the process of recording sales and purchase transactions and managing inventory in real-time. The system was designed using the prototyping method with an iterative approach that involved direct evaluation from users, as well as utilizing Unified Modeling Language (UML) for design visualization and Figma for the user interface. The results of the study show that the system built was successfully implemented and was able to improve the operational efficiency of the store. Based on the tests conducted, the system was proven to minimize inventory recording errors and was able to present accurate report data, thereby accelerating the decision-making process by store owners compared to the previous manual system.

Abstract

The reservation and payment information system at Susuka Hotel is an essential requirement to support operational efficiency and effectiveness. This study aims to analyze and design an information system that facilitates a faster and more convenient reservation and payment process, thereby improving customer service quality. The method used in this study is the Waterfall method, which consists of several stages: requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. During the analysis stage, data were collected through interviews and observations to understand the needs of the hotel and its customers. The system design results include the development of a user interface, database structure, and workflow for the reservation and payment processes. With the implementation of this system, Susuka Hotel is expected to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual errors, and provide a better experience for customers. This information system is implemented using web-based programming to enable real-time access and ease of use.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan memperkuat kompetensi dosen Institut Teknologi Mitra Gama dalam menghadapi tantangan mengajar Generasi Z di era teknologi. Program dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap: persiapan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Tahap persiapan dilakukan dengan survei kebutuhan dosen. Implementasi meliputi penyampaian materi tentang karakteristik mahasiswa Gen Z, strategi komunikasi positif, pemanfaatan media digital, serta praktik perancangan pembelajaran interaktif. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test, post-test, dan observasi keterlibatan peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan dosen dalam merancang pembelajaran yang relevan dengan kebutuhan Gen Z. Sebanyak 84% peserta memperoleh  wawasan baru, dan 71% merasa lebih percaya diri memanfaatkan media digital. Peserta juga menekankan pentingnya suasana kelas yang kolaboratif dan empatik. Keterbatasan utama kegiatan ini adalah durasi pelatihan yang singkat, sehingga diperlukan tindak lanjut berupa workshop serial atau pendampingan berkelanjutan. Abstract

Di era digital, kemampuan manajemen referensi menjadi kompetensi krusial bagi mahasiswa untuk menjamin kualitas dan integritas karya ilmiah. Namun, temuan di lapangan menunjukkan bahwa banyak mahasiswa masih menyusun sitasi dan daftar pustaka secara manual, yang mengakibatkan ketidakkonsistenan format, inefisiensi waktu, serta tingginya risiko plagiarisme tak disengaja. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan literasi digital mahasiswa melalui pelatihan intensif penggunaan perangkat lunak Mendeley. Metode pelaksanaan diterapkan secara luring melalui tahapan terstruktur, meliputi survei analisis kebutuhan, pemaparan materi teoritis, demonstrasi teknis, serta pendampingan praktik langsung (hands-on). Pelatihan ini memfokuskan pada penguasaan instalasi perangkat lunak, manajemen metadata referensi, hingga integrasi plugin sitasi otomatis pada Microsoft Word. Evaluasi efektivitas program dilakukan menggunakan instrumen pre-test dan post-test terhadap peserta. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi yang signifikan, di mana 85% peserta mencapai tingkat kemahiran tinggi dan mampu mengoperasikan fitur-fitur Mendeley secara mandiri untuk kebutuhan tugas akhir. Hanya sebagian kecil peserta (15%) yang memerlukan bimbingan tambahan terkait kendala teknis dasar komputer. Keberhasilan program ini juga didukung oleh pembentukan grup konsultasi daring sebagai sarana pendampingan berkelanjutan pasca-pelatihan. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini terbukti efektif dalam mentransformasi pola kerja penulisan ilmiah mahasiswa menjadi lebih sistematis dan akurat, sekaligus meminimalisir potensi kesalahan akademik dalam penyusunan skripsi maupun publikasi ilmiah
