Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji strategi komunikasi yang dilakukan oleh Pemerintah Kabupaten Hulu Sungai Tengah terhadap masyarakat Komunitas Adat Terpencil (KAT) Suku Dayak Meratus di Desa Hinas Kiri. Keterbatasan akses infrastruktur, bahasa, dan budaya di daerah terpencil menjadikan penyampaian pesan pemerintah sebagai tantangan signifikan. Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan dalam strategi komunikasi yang diterapkan, serta perlunya pendekatan berbasis budaya untuk membangun hubungan yang efektif antara pemerintah dan masyarakat. Metode kualitatif digunakan dengan desain studi kasus, melibatkan wawancara dengan Aparatur Sipil Negara, Pembakal Desa, dan Kementerian Sosial. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa meskipun ada kesenjangan dalam akses informasi, strategi komunikasi yang melibatkan dialog dengan tokoh masyarakat dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan penerimaan kebijakan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan kemitraan antara pemerintah dan KAT serta perlunya inovasi dalam metode komunikasi untuk mencapai keberhasilan program pembangunan yang inklusif.

Abstract

Media exposure is one of the causes of changes in behavior, perspectives, desires, and preference of each individual affected. So, form the resulting impact this research aim to find out how media exposure in the dorm of content on the Instagram account @infojajansolo influences visiting interest. The theory used in this research is S-O-R, which is the theory of understanding the impact of attachment that arises due to a drive. Sample collection uses probability techniques where not all prpolations have the same opportunity. The data in this study were collected through an online survey using a questionnaire distributed to 100 respondents, followers of the Instagram account @infojajansolo, using purposive sampling technique. The questionnaire was designed to measure the influence of Instagram content on visit intentions. The results of the study showed that Instagram content had an influence of 45.7% on visit intentions, while 54.3% was influenced by other factors. These findings indicate that social media, particularly Instagram, is effective in influencing the audience's interest, but other external factors should also be considered in marketing strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis foto karya Muhammad Bagus Khoirunas yang menggambarkan partisipasi politik Suku Baduy dalam Pesta Demokrasi Pemilu 2024. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan semiotika Roland Barthes, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami makna dan pesan yang terkandung dalam foto-foto tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, dengan fokus pada analisis denotasi, konotasi, dan mitos dalam foto-foto jurnalistik yang dipublikasikan di portal Antara Foto. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Suku Baduy secara aktif berpartisipasi dalam proses pemilu tanpa meninggalkan budaya dan tradisi mereka, seperti penggunaan pakaian adat, kegiatan menenun, dan gotong royong. Partisipasi politik Suku Baduy mencerminkan kesetaraan hak pilih tanpa memandang jenis kelamin, usia, atau status sosial. Selain itu, penelitian ini mengungkapkan keberiringan budaya dan partisipasi politik yang kuat, di mana masyarakat Baduy tetap mempertahankan identitas budaya mereka sambil terlibat dalam proses demokrasi modern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis interaksi antar pemain dan faktor-faktor penyebab munculnya rasisme dalam penggunaan fitur teks chat dan voice chat pada game online Valorant. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasari oleh penggunaan serta dampak dari kedua fitur tersebut, yang sering kali memicu tindakan rasis dan memengaruhi dinamika permainan serta perilaku pemain. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Computer Mediated Communication (CMC), yang menitikberatkan pada bagaimana komunikasi melalui media komputer dapat membentuk perilaku dan dinamika kelompok. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kualitatif dengan pendekatan observasi dan wawancara terhadap pemain Valorant. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teks chat lebih sering digunakan untuk komunikasi strategis, sedangkan voice chat lebih banyak dipakai untuk komunikasi cepat dan intens. Tindakan rasis sering kali muncul sebagai bentuk ekspresi dominasi, strategi psikologis, atau reaksi emosional terhadap situasi dalam permainan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the signs and messages contained in Motaz Azaiza's photographs depicting the genocide in Palestine. In the era of technological development, photography has become an effective medium for conveying information and events to the public. Motaz Azaiza, as a famous photographer from Palestine, has succeeded in drawing the world's attention to the issue of genocide through his works that are rich in meaning and symbols. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Primary data was obtained from the Instagram account @motaz_azaiza with data collection techniques through documentation and observation. This study also applies a data credibility test through triangulation, which compares observational data and documentation to ensure the accuracy of the information obtained. The results of the study show that Azaiza's photographs not only present the genocide event, but also contain a deep message about the condition of civil society in Palestine. Through semiotic analysis, this study identifies various signs that present complex social and political phenomena. This study is expected to contribute to semiotic studies in understanding how genocide visualization can influence public perception of the conflict in Palestine.

Abstract

Lokananta Gallery is one of the historical tourist destinations in Solo City that has undergone revitalization to increase its appeal. One of the efforts made is the provision of tour guide services. However, this service still faces challenges, such as lack of attention from visitors and the diversity of tourist characteristics, which can hinder the effectiveness of information delivery. In this context, impression management strategies become important as an interpersonal communication approach that can shape tourists' positive perceptions of the tourism experience. This study aims to examine the impression management strategies used by tour guides in increasing the appeal of Lokananta Gallery. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with three tour guides, and analyzed using Erving Goffman's impression management theory. The results showed that tour guides implemented five impression management strategies, namely ingratiation (building closeness with visitors), self-promotion (showing personal competence), exemplification (showing dedication and positive values), supplication (creating a humble impression), and intimidation ceriagan (subtly showing authority). Implementing these strategies has been shown to help build a professional image of guides, increase enjoyable interactions, and strengthen visitors' positive impressions of the Lokananta Gallery.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of digital literacy in families as an effort to prevent video game addiction in children. The problem of online game addiction is increasing among children, so parents need to play an active role in supervising and guiding the use of digital media. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method on three families with children aged 7–15 years in the Klaten region. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews and observations, analyzed using the interactive model by Miles & Huberman. The results indicate that each family has distinct communication patterns and media mediation styles when implementing video game consumption rules. Two families (Family 1 and Family 3) showed positive results with a decrease in video game playing intensity after implementing media rules. However, in Family 2, the effectiveness of the rules still faced challenges due to limitations in direct parental supervision. Additionally, the forms of mediation used include restrictive mediation, active mediation, and co-using. The conclusion of this study is that digital literacy within families, implemented through interpersonal communication, supervision, and agreements on digital media use, can serve as a solution to prevent video game addiction in children, provided it is tailored to each family's parenting style and circumstances.

Abstract

This study explores the utilization of Instagram as a communication medium for the crypto community in Indonesia, focusing on the @coinvestasi account. The objective is to understand how Instagram functions as a platform for information sharing, education, and community interaction related to cryptocurrency and digital assets. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with community representatives and followers, as well as documentation of Instagram content. The analysis was guided by the Circular Model of SoMe, which emphasizes four aspects: share, optimize, manage, and engage. The findings indicate that @coinvestasi uses Instagram strategically to deliver educational content, news updates, and interactive materials that attract and engage its audience. Various features such as feed posts, stories, reels, polls, and live sessions are utilized to encourage participation and foster two-way communication. The account successfully builds trust among followers by providing consistent, fact-based, and accessible information, while also creating opportunities for direct interaction and community growth. This research highlights the role of Instagram as an effective medium for building digital communities, particularly in emerging sectors such as cryptocurrency. The study contributes to the understanding of social media strategies in financial literacy and digital investment education, offering insights for practitioners, researchers, and community managers in leveraging social platforms for communication and engagement.

Abstract

In this digital era, people have the potential to become cosmetic and make-up users as part of daily life, so the cosmetic market share is very large. Displayed on Instagram to get the attention of others in the form of "likes" and "compliments" as much as possible, part of narcissism in social media that can increase the endorphins of happiness, but not everyone is talented at dressing themselves, so they call the services of MUA to beautify their appearance. This study uses a qualitative research method with a depth interview and purposive sampling technique. In this study, the results of observations are concluded as an elaboration of promotion strategy that must be carried out by beginner MUA who have started a business but want to attract consumers of makeup services with knowing promotion strategy using social media Instagram to built promotion strategy. The research result obtained three of MUA which is researched when examined from AIDA theory is a form of effect that explains how the audience is able to digest a promotion communication strategy message to make it take an attitude and behave like what the communicator expects.

Abstract

This study examines initiatives intended to enhance community empowerment in the tourism village of Kembang Kuning, Central Java, Indonesia. One problem facing this community is an inability to carry out effective promotion to realize the tourism potential of the village. Despite the Kembang Kuning village’s potential qualities for tourism, there is a lack of local knowledge about marketing and communication strategies. The lack has hindered efforts to make the village known nationally. This study seeks to raise awareness and understanding of promotion strategies and simultaneously develop marketing communication strategies through active participation by the village tourism management team. Qualitative methods were employed in this study, and information was gathered through field observations, interviews, documentation, and active participation. This study found that in Kembang Kuning tourism village, community empowerment and tourism development when combined with a promotion and marketing communication strategy, have the potential to increase the village’s tourism potential.
