Abstract

Model pembelajaran Science Technology Engineering Art and Mathematic (STEAM) merupakan model pembelajaran yang memadukan berbagai disiplin ilmu untuk mengembangkan keterampilan abad ke-21 pada peserta didik, salah satunya yakni kemampuan berpikir kritis (HOTS). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas pembelajaran STEAM terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis (HOTS) pada anak usia dini. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran STEAM secara signifikan dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis pada anak usia 5-6 tahun, di antaranya: (1) anak mampu mengidentifikasi media yang disiapkan guru, (2) anak mampu mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan hasil eksperimen, (3) anak mampu mengenali perubahan, proses bereksperimen, dan membandingkan hasil eksperimen, (4) anak mampu memecahkan masalah sederhana, dan (5) anak mampu mengekspresikan opini terkait eksperimen yang dilakukan. Selain itu, metode pembelajaran STEAM memberikan dampak terhadap aspek nilai agama dan moral; aspek fisik motorik; dan aspek sosial emosional. Kesimpulannya, metode pembelajaran STEAM memberikan dampak positif dan signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis anak usia 5-6 tahun, selain terhadap aspek nilai agama dan moral, aspek fisik motorik, serta aspek sosial emosional.

Abstract

Pre-reading for early childhood is the initial ability for early childhood to recognize sounds, letters, syllables, and words that symbolize them that can be read by early childhood in the form of simple sentences. This study aims to find out how the picture media can help to improve initial reading ability for early childhood aged 5-6 years at PAUD Bahrul Ihsan Kawasen. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) as the research method. This research was conducted into 2 cycles, at which each cycle refers to four components: planning, acting, observing, and reflexing. The results of the study showed that in cycle I, early childhood’s initial reading ability reached 78% with the achievement of Developing According to Expectation (BSH). Then, in cycle II, early childhood’s initial reading ability increased up to 94% with the achievement of Developing According to Expectation (BSH). Thus, the use of picture media is able to improve early childhood’s initial reading ability at PAUD Bahrul Ihsan Kawasen.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of origami paper folding activities on early childhood's fine motor skill. In this study, the researchers used quantitative method under Pre-Experimental Design with the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The number of samples were 13 students with a saturated sampling technique. The data were collected using a structured observation sheet and processed by SPSS, then the testing hypothesis was carried out by using the Wilcoxon test. The results of the study showed that the early childhood's fine motor skill scores before given treatment were in the Not Yet Developed (BB) category with a percentage of 79.92% and 23.08% were in the Starting to Develop (MB) category. After giving treatment in the form of origami paper folding activities, it showed that 13 students, 69.23% were in the Developing According to Expectations (BSH) category and 30.76% were in the Very Well Developing (BSH) category. After carrying out the Wilcoxon test, it was found that the Aymp. Sig. (2-tailed) is 0.001 < 0.05. This showed that there was a significant difference between Pre-Test and Post-Test scores, at which the Sig value, (2-tailed) < 0.05 H1 is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that paper folding activities influenced the early childhood's fine motor development at RA Sabilissalam.

Abstract

The development of religious and moral values is the ability of early childhood to act and behave according to the religious and moral values he/she embraced. This study aims to find out the effect of using Youtube to instill religious and moral values for early childhood in Kober El Karim, and to find out the benefits of using Youtube for early childhood in Kober El Karim. The method used in this study is a qualitative under a phenomenological approach. The results of this study showed that the use of Youtube has an effect to instill religious and moral values for early childhood in Kober El Karim in the form: the early childhoods read basmalah in every activity, the early childhoods feel more enthusiastic to pray before and after studying, before and after eating snacks, and before going home. In addition, the early childhoods try to tell honestly and maintain noble characters while at school. In addition, the use of Youtube for early childhoods at Kober El Karim is useful in fostering their creativity according to what they watch, developing their motor aspect, and increasing their linguistic vocabulary. In conclusion, the use of Youtube has positive effect to instill religious and moral values for the early childhoods in Kober El Karim, Ciamis Regency.

Abstract

Bermain merupakan aktivitas utama anak usia dini. Dengan bermain, anak akan merasa gembira dan menemukan hal baru dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Tanpa disadari, melalui bermain anak lebih mudah menyerap berbagai hal termasuk meningkatkan kemampuan kognitifnya. Artikel ini bertujuan memaparkan metode bermain sebagai salah satu upaya dalam mengembangkan kemampuan kognitif anak di era Kurikulum Merdeka. Melalui aktivitas bermain, kemampuan kognitif anak berkembang dengan optimal. Selain itu, bermain dapat mengembangkan aspek lainnya, seperti: moral, bahasa, dan perkembangan sosial anak. Selain bersifat alamiah, bermain di PAUD juga selaras dengan konsep Merdeka Belajar yang diadopsi dalam Kurikulum Merdeka. Konsep Merdeka Belajar di PAUD memberikan kebebasan kepada anak untuk memilih kegiatan belajar yang diinginkan, serta memenuhi hak anak yaitu bermain sesuai dengan minat dan bakat anak. Dalam konteks PAUD, Merdeka Belajar adalah merdeka bermain yang mana di dalamnya terdapat dua jenis bermain, yakni: bermain aktif dan bermain pasif. Melalui kegiatan bermain, anak belajar memecahkan masalah, mengenal sebab akibat, mengenal berbagai konsep bentuk, warna, ukuran, dan jumlah yang dapat menstimulasi perkembangan intelektualnya. Dengan bermain, anak bukan hanya sekedar bermain, tetapi merupakan proses pembelajaran yang dapat memberikan makna dan pengalaman untuk mengenal lingkungannya.
