Abstract

Intense social media use among Generation Z has led to idealized self-presentation behavior that often does not align with reality. This study aims to examine the relationship between self-esteem and narcissism with self-presentation on social media in Generation Z, both partially and simultaneously. The subjects of the study were 151 respondents from Generation Z who were active on social media platforms. Using a quantitative approach, the data were analyzed through a regression test. The results showed that narcissism had a significant correlation with self-presentation (t = 2.397, p = 0.018), while self-esteem did not show a significant relationship (p = 0.270). Simultaneous analysis showed that self-esteem and narcissism together influenced self-presentation with a sig value of 0.010. Although the contribution of narcissism is more dominant, with a practical contribution of 4.6%, overall, these two variables only explain a small part of the factors that influence self-presentation (R² = 0.060). Thus, narcissism is a dominant factor in self-presentation behavior, while the contribution of both to the model is still limited. This study recommends exploring additional psychological variables to gain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

An ideal educational atmosphere should foster noble values, both for children who attend Islamic boarding schools and Those that don't, prosocial behavior can make a big difference, such as a decrease in the quality of interactions, social skills, increased individuality and lack of social awareness. This study's objective is to clarify the connection between prosocial behavior and empathy. With a sample of 227 students and a population of 650 pupils, This research employs a quantitative methdology. Purposive sampling was the data collection technique used in this study. The researcher's own empathy scale, which has a Cronbachalphavalue of0.870, and a prosocial behavior scale, which was taken from Albab (2023), both have a Cronbachalphavalueof0.929. Spearmanrhoanalysis was employed in the data analysis method. The study's findings suggest that prosocial conduct and empathy are positively correlated. Suasana pendidikan yang ideal hendaknya menumbuhkan nilai-nilai luhur, baik bagi anak yang bersekolah di pondok pesantren maupun yang tidak, perilaku prososial dapat memberikan dampak yang cukup signifikan, seperti menurunnya kualitas interaksi, keterampilan sosial, meningkatnya individualitas dan kurangnya kesadaran sosial. Tujuan penelitianini ialah untuk memperjelas hubungan antaraempati dengan perilakuprososial. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode kuantitatif dengan populasi yang terdiri dari 650 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 227 siswa. Metode pengambilan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik pemilihan sampel secara sengaja atau purposive sampling, yang disesuaikan dengan tujuan dan kriteria tertentu.. Skala yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala perilaku prososial yang diadopsi dari Albab (2023) dengan nilai alphacronbach sebesar0,929, serta skala empati yang dikembangkan sendiri oleh peneliti dengan nilai alphacronbach sebesar 0,870. Penelitian ini menerapkan analisis korelasiSpearmanrho sebagai metode untuk menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif antara empati dengan perilaku prososial.

Abstract

College students are in the developmental phase of late adolescence to early adulthood, a period that is vulnerable to emotional, social, and academic pressure. This condition places students at risk of experiencing emotional disturbances, such as aggressiveness. Along with technological advancement, students are increasingly exposed to high social media usage and irregular sleep patterns, both of which are suspected to affect emotional stability and aggressive behavior. The goal of this study is to find out how the amount of time university students in Surabaya spend on social media affects their sleep quality and aggressiveness. Because the data didn't meet the assumptions for linierity, this study used a correlational quantitative approach with Spearman's rank correlation test. There were 310 students in the study, and they were chosen through snowball sampling. The social media usage intensity scale, sleep quality scale, and aggressiveness scale were all used. All of these scales had passed tests for validity and reliability. The results showed that how much someone used social media did not have a strong link to how aggressive they were (r = 0.027; p = 0.638). On the other hand, how well someone slept did have a strong negative link to how aggressive they were (r = -0.491; p < 0.01). Students with poor sleep quality tended to exhibit higher levels of aggressiveness. This study concludes that improving sleep quality can serve as a preventive strategy to reduce student aggressiveness. ABSTRAK Mahasiswa tergolong masa remaja akhir dan transisi menuju awal masa dewasa yang rentan terhadap tekanan emosional, sosial, dan akademik. Kondisi tersebut menjadikan mereka berisiko mengalami gangguan emosi seperti agresivitas. Seiring perkembangan teknologi, penggunaan media sosial yang tinggi dan pola tidur yang terganggu menjadi bagian dari gaya hidup mahasiswa, yang diduga memengaruhi kestabilan emosi dan kecenderungan perilaku agresif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan kualitas tidur dengan agresivitas pada mahasiswa di Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif korelasional dengan teknik analisis Spearman karena data tidak memenuhi asumsi linieritas. Subjek berjumlah 310 mahasiswa yang diperoleh melalui teknik snowball sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah skala intensitas penggunaan media sosial, skala kualitas tidur, dan skala agresivitas, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil menunjukkan tidak ada hubungan signifikan antara intensitas penggunaan media sosial dan agresivitas (r = 0,027; p = 0,638), namun terdapat hubungan negatif signifikan antara kualitas tidur dan agresivitas (r = -0,491; p < 0,01). Mahasiswa dengan kualitas tidur buruk cenderung menunjukkan agresivitas lebih tinggi. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa peningkatan kualitas tidur dapat menjadi strategi efektif untuk menekan agresivitas mahasiswa.

Abstract

Mahasiswa yang tangguh terhadap tekanan dan permasalahan dapat dikatakan memiliki resiliensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat hubungan manajemen konflik dan dukungan sosial dengan resiliensi mahasiswa yang mengikuti program MBKM. Penelitian kuantitatif korelasional ini melibatkan 137 mahasiswa Fakultas Psikologi Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya dengan menggunakan teknik quota sampling. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran kuisioner secara online menggunakan google form.  Ada tiga alat ukur yang digunakan yaitu resilience scale, skala manajemen konflik, dan skala dukungan sosial. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman Rho. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan searah yang cukup kuat pada manajemen konflik dan resiliensi demikian pula dengan dukungan sosial. Masing-masing variabel memberikan pengaruh terhadap resiliensi mahasiswa yang mengikuti program MBKM.

Abstract

Dropping out of school is a worrying conflict for the nation's successors which is often done by students in the school environment. Based on the village classification, there is a difference between education in urban and rural areas. Students who do not have a future orientation are more likely to experience poor academic achievement. If students have a future orientation, they have a spirit of achievement, making them less likely to engage in deviant behavior. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational research approach through sampling using the purposive sampling method, with test results using the product moment test. The purpose of this study is to identify the relationship between the presence or absence of self-control with future orientation in junior high school students in the coastal area of Tlocor. The results of the normality test of the distribution of self-control with future orientation against the One-Sample Kolmogorov Smirnov Test obtained sig 0.200 at (p> 0.05) it can be assumed that the distribution of the self-control scale with future orientation is normally distributed. The results of the hypothesis test using the product moment correlation processed using the IBM SPSS 25 for Windows program obtained an rxy score of 0.683 with sig. 0.000 (p<0.01) which can be interpreted as there is a very significant positive relationship between self-control and future orientation. This means that the higher the self-control, the more positive the future orientation of junior high school students.

Abstract

Anak yang tinggal dan bekerja di jalanan menghadapi kehidupan yang keras dan penuh tantangan. Di sisi lain sama seperti manusia pada umumnya, mereka juga memiliki emosi baik emosi positif maupun negatif. Emosi positif yang dimiliki akan membawanya menuju kebahagiaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana kebahagiaan otentik pada anak jalanan, ditinjau dari penerimaan diri dan dukungan sosial. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 42 anak jalanan yang berada di bawah naungan UPTD Kampung Anak Negeri Surabaya dan Komunitas Save Street Children (SSC). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian korelasional. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan teknik convenience sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah The Perma Profiler, Ryff Psychological Well Being, dan Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerimaan diri tidak berkorelasi dengan kebahagiaan otentik pada anak jalanan, sedangkan dukungan sosial memiliki korelasi positif yang sangat signifikan dengan kebahagiaan otentik pada anak jalanan.

Abstract

Kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa merupakan masalah penting yang berdampak pada kesehatan mental, seperti stres dan depresi, serta berdampak pada kualitas akademik dan keberhasilan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh yang signifikan religious coping terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif korelasional dan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis regresi linier sederhana, penelitian ini melibatkan 524 mahasiswa Muslim di Indonesia yang diambil dengan teknik snowball sampling. Instrumen penelitian yaitu Oxford Happiness Questionnaire (OHQ) untuk mengukur kesejahteraan psikologis, yang terdiri dari 29 item dengan nilai konsistensi internal α = 0,899. Skala Initial Development of the Iranian Religious coping Scale untuk mengukur coping religius, yang terdiri dari 22 item dengan nilai konsistensi internal α = 0,920. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh yang signifikan religious coping terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis sebesar 19,7%. Studi ini menyoroti pentingnya coping religius dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis pada mahasiswa di Indonesia, sehingga penelitian selanjutnya dapat menggunakan religious coping sebagai intervensi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa di Indonesia.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between academic burnout with hardiness personality and social support in Surabaya students. This study used a quantitative correlational strategy. The total respondents were 180 people and the research participants were Surabaya students aged between 13 and 18 years. The method used was the quota sampling approach. The tools used in this study were the tough personality scale, the social support scale, and the academic burnout scale. The data analysis method used in this study was multiple linear regression. The initial hypothesis was rejected because the results of the multiple regression analysis showed no correlation between academic burnout and social support or hardiness personality. The second hypothesis was rejected based on the results of the partial test which showed no substantial negative correlation between academic burnout and hardiness personality. Based on the results of the partial test, academic burnout and social support have a substantial negative relationship, thus supporting the third hypothesis.Keywords: Academic Burnout; Personality Hardiness; Social Support; Students.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara academic burnout dengan kepribadian hardiness dan dukungan sosial pada mahasiswa Surabaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan strategi korelasional kuantitatif. Total responden sebanyak 180 orang dan partisipan penelitian adalah mahasiswa Surabaya yang berusia antara 13 sampai 18 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kuota sampling. Alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala kepribadian tangguh, skala dukungan sosial, dan skala academic burnout. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah regresi linier berganda. Hipotesis awal ditolak karena hasil analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan tidak ada korelasi antara academic burnout dengan dukungan sosial atau kepribadian hardiness. Hipotesis kedua ditolak berdasarkan hasil uji parsial yang menunjukkan tidak ada korelasi negatif yang substansial antara academic burnout dengan kepribadian hardiness. Berdasarkan hasil uji parsial, academic burnout dan dukungan sosial memiliki hubungan negatif yang substansial, sehingga mendukung hipotesis ketiga.Kata kunci: Academic Burnout, Kepribadian Hardiness, Dukungan Sosial, Pelajar

Abstract

  Abstract This study aims to examine the relationship between religiosity and social support on self-injury behavior among adolescents. It involved 176 adolescents aged 12–24 years who have engaged in or are currently engaging in self-injury behaviors. Data were collected through questionnaires assessing levels of religiosity, social support, and self-injury behavior. Partial correlation tests revealed that religiosity and social support have a significant negative influence on self-injury behavior, with t-scores of -5.059 and -6.831, respectively (p < 0.05). This indicates that the lower the level of religiosity and social support received by adolescents, the higher their tendency to engage in self-injury. Multiple regression analysis revealed an R-square value of 0.445, indicating that religiosity and social support collectively explain 44.5% of the variation in self-injury behavior. The F-test yielded a value of F = 4.749 with a significance of 0.010 (p < 0.05), confirming that these two variables are predictors of self-injury behavior. Additionally, the study found that religiosity contributes 18.26% and social support contributes 24.70% to the variation in self-injury behavior, with a total contribution of 42.96% (R Square). These findings highlight the significant role of both variables in influencing self-injury behavior.   Keywords: Self-Injury, Religiosity, Social Support, Adolecents, Correlations   Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara religiositas dan dukungan sosial terhadap perilaku melukai diri pada remaja. Penelitian ini melibatkan 176 remaja berusia 12–24 tahun yang telah atau sedang melakukan perilaku melukai diri. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang menilai tingkat religiositas, dukungan sosial, dan perilaku melukai diri. Uji korelasi parsial menunjukkan bahwa religiositas dan dukungan sosial memiliki pengaruh negatif yang signifikan terhadap perilaku melukai diri, dengan t-score masing-masing -5.059 dan -6.831 (p < 0.05). Ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin rendah tingkat religiositas dan dukungan sosial yang diterima oleh remaja, semakin tinggi kecenderungan mereka untuk melakukan perilaku melukai diri. Analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan nilai R-square sebesar 0.445, yang berarti religiositas dan dukungan sosial secara kolektif menjelaskan 44.5% variasi dalam perilaku melukai diri. Uji F menghasilkan nilai F = 4.749 dengan signifikansi 0.010 (p < 0.05), mengonfirmasi bahwa kedua variabel ini adalah prediktor perilaku melukai diri. Selain itu, penelitian menemukan bahwa religiositas menyumbang 18.26% dan dukungan sosial menyumbang 24.70% terhadap variasi perilaku melukai diri, dengan total kontribusi sebesar 42.96% (R Square). Temuan ini menyoroti peran signifikan kedua variabel dalam mempengaruhi perilaku self-injury.
