Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV SD GMIT Namosain melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL). Model PBL diharapkan mampu meningkatkan keaktifan, kreativitas, dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan desain siklus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan dalam hasil belajar siswa setelah penerapan model PBL. Selain itu, siswa juga menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi dan partisipasi dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Integrated learning immersed model is learning that is in accordance with the interests of students and can grow students' love for the field of interest. Integrated learning immersed model in elementary school begins with students' interest in a field so that students have the urge in themselves to learn more about the field so that students become experts in the field of their interest, this research was conducted to provide solutions related to environmental problems in Indonesia through immersed learning model. The formulation of the problem in this study is how the effectiveness of immersed model learning tools to foster a love for the environment? The purpose of this research is to describe the effectiveness of immersed model learning tools. This research method is R&D (Research and Develop) with 4D design, namely define, design, develop and dessiminate. The result of the research is that the integrated learning device immersed model is declared feasible in terms of the validity of the learning device. Practical to use is indicated by a high percentage of learning implementation, obstacles that arise do not significantly affect learning, and student responses to integrated learning immersed models are positive and good. The immersed model integrated learning device is effective to use in terms of learning outcomes test results that have increased significantly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi dengan keberadaan media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi yang di gunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Media video animasi digunakan sebagai alat penunjang dalam membantu siswa untuk belajar. Dengan adanya media video animasi ini dapat menambah pengetahuan dan meningkatkan motivasi siswa yang ditunjukan melalui rasa nyaman, fokus, semangat dan rasa ingin tahu yang tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk : 1) Untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SDN Bertingkat Naikoten Kota Kupang. 2) Untuk mendeskripsikan motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas V SDN Bertingkat Naikoten Kota Kupang. 3) Untuk mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis video animasi di kelas V SDN Bertingkat Naikoten Kota Kupang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Deskriptif Kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara menggunakan metode survei dengan instrumen penelitian berupa angket dan dokumentasi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V A SDN Bertingkat Naikoten dan guru kelas dengan jumlah 43 orang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa :1) Penggunaan animasi memiliki peran yang sangat penting dan berkontribusi baik dalam proses pembelajaran, dapat dilihat dari hasil rata-rata seluruh indikator XI sebesar 2,36 dengan kategori sangat baik. 2) Media video animasi berdedikasi baik dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa yang dilihat dari data hasil rata-rata seluruh indikator X2 sebesar 2,42 dengan kategori sangat baik. 3) Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan media video animasi dilihat dari hasil rata-rata seluruh indikator Y sebesar 2,45 dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa media video animasi yang digunakan pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar.

Abstract

Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk melatih guru-guru Sekolah Dasar di Kota Kupang berkenaan dengan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam rangka penguatan pelaksanaan kurikulum merdeka. Pelatihan ini bertempat di SD Inpres Lasiana, Kota Kupang. Peserta pelatihan ini berjumlah 24 orang, yang merupakan perwakilan dari sekolah-sekolah yang ada di Kota Kupang. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan ini yaitu, diskusi, tanya jawab, penugasan, simulasi dan demonstrasi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini, yaitu guru-guru mampu menyusun rancangan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi (Modul Ajar Berdiferensiasi) dan mendemonstrasikan rancangan tersebut. Melalui kegiatan ini guru-guru mendapat pengalaman langsung terkait pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam menguatkan implementasi kurikulum merdeka di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is a fundamental skill essential to supporting students’ academic success. Based on observations at SD GMIT Airnona 2 in the city of Kupang, it was found that fifth-grade students experienced difficulties in understanding short stories, particularly in identifying intrinsic elements and summarizing story content, even after repeated readings. This study aims to improve short story reading comprehension through the application of the Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) strategy. The research employed a classroom action research method in two cycles, involving 26 fifth-grade students, and combined both qualitative and quantitative approaches. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, tests (pretest and posttest), and documentation study. The results showed that the implementation of the DRTA strategy significantly improved students’ reading comprehension abilities. The percentage of learning mastery increased from 19.2% in the pre-cycle to 57.7% in the first cycle and reached 100% in the second cycle. The students’ average scores also increased from 69.4 to 80.8, accompanied by improvements in teacher activity and student engagement during the learning process. These findings indicate that the DRTA strategy can be an effective instructional approach to address low reading comprehension among elementary school students and is recommended as an alternative method in literacy instruction.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the low early reading ability of first-grade students at SD Negeri Naikoten 2, where only 5 out of 27 students demonstrated good reading skills, while the remaining 22 were classified as low. The objective of the study is to improve early reading ability through the use of letter card media. A qualitative method was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Pre-cycle results showed that only 4 students (15%) met the competency standard, while 23 students (85%) did not. After implementing letter card media in Cycle I, the number of students who met the standard increased to 17 (63%), and in Cycle II, it further increased to 25 students (93%), leaving only 2 students (7%) who had not achieved mastery. These findings indicate a significant improvement from Cycle I to Cycle II, with more than 80% of students scoring above 70. The study concludes that letter card media is effective in enhancing the early reading ability of first-grade students. The implications of the study highlight the importance of teacher training in using simple yet effective learning media and provide opportunities for further research on the effectiveness of letter card media in different educational contexts.

Abstract

The ability to write paragraphs in accordance with Indonesian language conventions remains a challenge for Grade II students at SD GMIT Bonipoi 3456, Kota Kupang, highlighting the need for an effective and engaging learning model to improve this skill. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Jigsaw type of cooperative learning model in enhancing students’ ability to write proper paragraphs. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles and involved 27 Grade II students. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining qualitative and quantitative techniques, with data collected through observations of teacher and student activities, interviews, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results showed that the implementation of the Jigsaw model significantly improved students’ paragraph writing skills, as indicated by an increase in the percentage of learning mastery from 51.85% in Cycle I to 96.29% in Cycle II, and an increase in the average score from 55 to 95. Additionally, improvements were observed in the learning activities of both teachers and students. These findings indicate that the Jigsaw model not only enhances writing ability but also promotes active participation and a more enjoyable learning environment. The practical implication of this study is that teachers can apply the Jigsaw model as an alternative instructional strategy to effectively develop writing skills in Indonesian language learning at the elementary school level.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is an essential skill in learning, yet it remains a challenge for Class VB students at SD Inpres Naikoten 2 Kota Kupang, as evidenced by observational data indicating low achievement in reading comprehension tests. This study aims to improve students’ reading comprehension skills on historical narrative texts through the implementation of the inquiry-based learning model. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (Penelitian Tindakan Kelas) approach conducted in two cycles, with data collected through observation, tests, and document analysis. The results showed that the application of the inquiry model significantly enhanced students’ reading comprehension, as demonstrated by an increase in mastery learning from 16.67% in the pre-cycle to 55.56% in the first cycle and 88.89% in the second cycle. Additionally, the average student score improved from 65.22 to 84.78, accompanied by increased teacher activity and student engagement during the learning process. These findings suggest that the inquiry-based learning model is effective and can serve as a strategic alternative to enhance reading comprehension among elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low learning interest among fourth-grade students in Indonesian language classes at SD Inpres Bertingkat Oebobo II, Kota Kupang. The objective of the research was to develop a valid and practical digital-based interactive learning media and to evaluate its effectiveness in enhancing students’ learning interest. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The developed product was an interactive PowerPoint learning media, which was then validated and assessed for feasibility. The research subjects were fourth-grade students, and data were collected through observation, interviews, expert validation, pre-test and post-test assessments, as well as student response and interest questionnaires. Validation results from media and content experts showed a validity percentage of 92%, categorized as "Highly Valid," and the media was deemed practical for use. The average pre-test and post-test scores indicated improved learning outcomes, with an effectiveness rate of 62%, classified as "Moderately Effective." Student response and interest questionnaire results reached 77% and 79%, respectively, both falling into the "Effective" category. The study concludes that the developed interactive PowerPoint media is valid, practical, and effective in increasing students' interest in learning Indonesian language in fourth grade. The implication is that this media can serve as an innovative alternative to support a more engaging and interactive learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita yang berkaitan dengan wujud zat dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Bonipoi Kota Kupang. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada materi wujud zat karena metode pembelajaran yang kurang bervariasi dan kurang mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan tes, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 24 siswa kelas IV yang terdiri dari 15 laki-laki dan 9 perempuan. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi observasi, tes, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data yang meliputi data observasi dan analisis data hasil tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita terkait wujud zat. Pada siklus I, persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 66,67%, sedangkan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 91,67%. Aktivitas guru dan siswa juga mengalami peningkatan dari kategori baik menjadi sangat baik. Hasil ini menunjukan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita, khususya pada materi wujud zat. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar model STAD dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang inovatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa, khususnya dalam pembelajaran IPAS di tingkat sekolah dasar.
