Abstract

Indonesia, as a large country in the Asian region, is characterized by thousands of islands, a population of hundreds of millions of people, and various ethnicities, races and religions. However, behind this diversity it can also be a trigger for conflict, both internal and external. One aspect that is often highlighted is the role of religion in conflicts between religious communities. Joint Regulation of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Home Affairs Number 9/8 of 2006 concerning the Establishment of Houses of Worship was established to regulate procedures for building places of worship, including construction, maintenance and management. However, the implementation of these regulations in the field often faces various challenges and obstacles. The research reviews the implementation of these regulations in the City of Cilegon, Banten. The review presented relate to the licensing context, the concept of religious harmony, and the concept of establishing places of worship. The method used is qualitative research with literature study as a data acquisition technique. The research results show that the implementation of the Joint Regulation of the Minister of Religion and the Minister of Home Affairs Number 9/8 of 2006 concerning the Establishment of Houses of Worship in Cilegon City has not been fully effective. Socialization efforts, improving regulations, and enforcing government neutrality are the main keys in increasing the effectiveness of implementing these regulations.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi merupakan salah satu hal yang tidak dapat dihindarkan dalam setiap instansi pendidikan. Kemajuan teknologi seharusnya dapat memberikan dampak positif terhadap proses pelayanan di setiap instansi pendidikan. Tujuan dari adanya PKM ini adalah memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan kepada guru dan staf manajemen tentang penggunaan aplikasi PPDB online di sekolah. Adapun metode yang digunakan adalah dengan melakukan sosialisasi dan pelatihan langsung kepada seluruh guru dan staf manajemen sekolah. Hasil dari PKM ini adalah sekolah telah memiliki portal PPDB online yang dapat diakses oleh siapapun, kapanpun dan dimanapun. Ini juga memudahkan calon peserta didik baru untuk melakukan pendaftaran dan memudahkan proses upload dokumen persyaratan. Seluruh guru, staf dan peserta lainnya sangat antusias mengikuti pelatihan ini. Diharapkan kedepannya kegiatan serupa bisa diselenggarakan kembali guna meningkatkan kualitas sekolah swasta di Kabupaten Serang.

Abstract

Pelatihan penatausahaan administrasi pemerintahan desa merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan kapasitas sumber daya manusia di tingkat desa. Artikel ini membahas tentang pelaksanaan pelatihan yang dilakukan di Desa Cirangkong, Kabupaten Serang, dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan aparat desa dalam mengelola administrasi pemerintahan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelatihan ini adalah pendekatan partisipatif dan praktek langsung. Hasil dari pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pengetahuan dan keterampilan administrasi pemerintahan diantara peserta. Pelatihan penatausahaan administrasi pemerintahan desa di Desa Cirangkong, Kabupaten Serang, berhasil meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan aparat desa. Diharapkan, hasil pelatihan ini dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kinerja pemerintahan desa dan pelayanan publik yang diberikan kepada warga desa. Kedepan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam menunjang pelayanan publik di Kantor Desa menjadi fokus kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat selanjutnya.

Abstract

Community service represents one of the fundamental contributions of academics to social development, particularly in the educational sector. This article elaborates on the implementation of a community engagement program entitled Towards Smart Pesantren through Digital Transformation, conducted on May 28, 2025, at SMA Bi’rul Ulum Cisait, Serang, Banten. The initiative emerged from an inter-university collaboration aimed at enhancing the digital capacities of santri (Islamic boarding school students) to better prepare them for the challenges of the digital age. The program focused on training in graphic design, public speaking, an introduction to artificial intelligence (AI), and human resource development (HRD) in the digital context. Methods employed in the program included lectures, interactive discussions, and hands-on practice, allowing participants to gain both theoretical understanding and practical skills. The participatory approach fostered active engagement and created an enriching learning environment. Evaluation results indicated a high level of enthusiasm among the participants and a marked improvement in their grasp of fundamental digital competencies. This program exemplifies the strategic potential of inter-institutional academic collaboration in supporting the digital transformation of pesantren-based education in Indonesia. It is expected that the initiative can serve as a replicable and sustainable model for future community service efforts in similar educational contexts, particularly in promoting 21st-century skills.
