Abstract

Kecenderungan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan taraf hidup yang sehat untuk memanfaatkan bahan herbal sebagai bahan aktif sediaan pangan fungsional, bahan aktif sediaan obat maupun kosmetik cenderung mengalami peningkatan yang berkolerasi secara positif dengan peningkatan jumlah penduduk. Fakta dilapangan yang sering terjadi dan membuat cemas para petani yaitu terjadinya penurunan suatu kualitas bahkan kuantitas dari setiap aktivitas budidaya, sehingga pemenuhan bahan pangan fungsional, bahan aktif obat maupun kosmetik menjadi semakin terhambat. Tantangan dan tanggung jawab seorang pemuliaan tanaman yang memiliki kemampuan pada bidang rekayasa genetika tanaman atau yang dikenal sebagai bioteknologi modern (teknologi DNA rekombinan) menjadi semakin meningkat untuk mengembangkan nya yaitu dengan metode rekayasa partenokarpi (buah tanpa biji), biofisika (radiasi), yang perlu dilakukan pengujian pada fasilitas uji lapangan terbatas, sehingga menjadi tanaman transgenik yang tahan simpan setelah diverivikasi melalui PCR dan divisualisasi gen (DNA) pemabawa partenokarpi hasil PCR melalui gel agarosa. Salah satu tanaman komoditas hortikultura yang dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan sediaan pangan fungsional, obat, dan kosmetik yaitu tomat. Hasil penelitian terkini telah membuktikan bahwa kandungan tomat berupa likopen sebagai salah satu senyawa metabolit sekunder golongan flavonoid dapat dikembangkan sebagai obat kumur, hipertensi, sebagai sediaan kosmetik berupa formulasi dan sediaan lip balm, dan sabun mandi cair yang bersifat antioksidan. Likopen yang terkandung pada buah tomat berperan penting sebagai sumber antioksidan dalam menangkal radikal bebas, sehingga dapat dikembangkan sebagai bahan pangan fungsional, obat, dan kosmetik melalui jalur rekayasa metabolic (biokimia). jalur biosintesis flavonoid yang terdiri dari dua jalur yaitu jalur siklamat dan asam malonat.

Abstract

The conventional agricultural system that is applied tends to use chemicals such as pesticides, on the one hand, providing various positive impacts, including increasing productivity quickly, meeting food needs efficiently, and helping food insecurity as often occurs in India. Sustainable agricultural systems are aimed at reducing environmental damage, maintaining agricultural productivity, increasing farmers' income and improving the stability and quality of life of rural communities. Three big indicators that can be seen are that the environment is sustainable, the economy is improving (prosperous), and it is socially accepted by the farming community. Other negative impacts on conventional agricultural systems include decreasing soil quality, giving rise to new pests and diseases, environmentally friendly microorganisms becoming extinct, toxic chemicals threatening the condition of the biosphere in the food chain. The concept of organic farming that is applied ideally is based on optimal, balanced, efficient management of land, water and land, so that existing biodiversity is one of the external efforts to provide a positive impact. In writing this literature review, the sections that will be discussed include the application of conventional agricultural systems that occur in India, suggestions and improvements that can be implemented based on potential such as modeling greenhouse gas emissions from agriculture, GHG (Greenhouse Gas) mitigation from agriculture, absorption of element C in agricultural soil, conservation agriculture, reducing nitrous oxide emissions, economic implications of greenhouse gas mitigation, and the use of butterfly pea flower kombucha in agricultural aspects

Abstract

This research aims to examine the important role of fisheries instructors in implementing and optimizing the issuance of these cards in Sikka Regency. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection through in-depth interviews, direct observation and document analysis. The research results show that fisheries instructors have three main roles, namely: (1) socializing the program to fishermen, (2) assisting in the administration process of issuing Small E-Pas cards, (3) increasing the ability of fishermen to utilize karu to access government programs. However, challenges such as limited administrative literacy of fishermen and access to remote areas are still the main obstacles. This research concludes that the success of the program is highly dependent on the active role of fisheries instructors, with the need for additional support from local governments to overcome existing obstacles.

Abstract

One plant that has been used for traditional medicine with good results is Melastoma (Melastoma malabatricum L.). The plant known as Melastoma has three active compounds: tannins, saponins, and flavonoids. Melastoma leaves work well to cure diarrhoea. Adhesive patches with medication applied topically are called transdermal patches. Melastoma leaf extract transdermal patch formulations were utilised in this study, which employed laboratory experimental techniques. The potential of Melastoma leaf extract transdermal patch preparation formula as an antidiarrheal for rabbits was the subject of the study. Concentrations of extract: 10%, 20%, and 30%. Organoleptic testing, pH tests, weight uniformity tests, moisture tests, thickness tests, and fold resistance tests were the preparatory assessment parameters that were conducted. The characteristics of the antidiarrheal test were timing of diarrhoea occurrences, consistency of the stool, frequency of diarrhoea, and length of diarrhoea, all of which were monitored for six hours. The evaluation of the Melastoma leaf extract transdermal patch formulation demonstrated a significant difference, namely <0.05, according to the results of the ANOVA data analysis. The antidiarrheal test parameters had a significant difference between each concentration, namely <0.05, according to the findings of the ANOVA data analysis. The conclusions was possible to use a transdermal patch formulation of Melastoma leaf extract (Melastoma malabathricum L.) at a 30% concentration to prevent diarrhoea by making stools softer.
