Abstract

While digital adoption is essential for operational efficiency in the culinary sector, many local restaurants still struggle with the inefficiencies of manual ordering and paper menus, which require longer service times and complicate menu updates. Currently, there is a gap in applying structured, user-focused methodologies to effectively bridge these traditional practices with modern digital solutions. To address this gap, this research aims to design a highly usable UI/UX for a web-based QR Code food ordering system tailored specifically for Limestones Restaurant Bali. The study utilizes the User-Centered Design (UCD) method to ensure the system strictly aligns with user needs, progressing through four stages: specifying the context of use, specifying user and organizational requirements, producing design solutions, and evaluating the design against user requirements. The resulting prototype features an interactive digital menu, shopping cart, and two payment options including QRIS and cash. Design evaluation was conducted through user testing with ten respondents using the System Usability Scale (SUS), achieving a score of 71.25. This score places the system in the "Good" category, demonstrating that its usability exceeds standard acceptability thresholds. Ultimately, the main scientific contribution of this study is a UCD-driven design framework and a validated prototype that systematically resolves the physical limitations of manual menus while significantly enhancing the modern customer ordering experience.

Abstract

Air pollution in urban areas has become a serious issue due to rapid urbanization, industrial activities, and the increasing number of motor vehicles, which directly impact human health and the environment. Conventional monitoring systems that rely on cloud-based processing often face challenges such as high latency and limitations in providing real-time information. This study aims to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based air quality monitoring system integrated with edge computing to improve data processing efficiency and reduce latency. The proposed system utilizes sensors for PM2.5, carbon monoxide (CO), temperature, and humidity, which are connected to an edge device to perform local data processing before being transmitted to the cloud. The research methodology includes system architecture design, hardware and software implementation, and performance evaluation based on latency, data accuracy, and system responsiveness. The results indicate that the edge-based approach significantly reduces latency compared to cloud-based systems while maintaining high data accuracy. In addition, the system is capable of providing real-time data visualization through a dashboard, enabling faster and more effective decision-making. Therefore, the integration of IoT and edge computing offers an efficient, scalable, and promising solution for urban air quality monitoring and supports the development of smart city applications.

Abstract

Aksesibilitas fasilitas hiburan publik, khususnya bioskop, masih menjadi kendala signifikan bagi kelompok penyandang disabilitas di Kota Denpasar. Hambatan tersebut tidak hanya mencakup infrastruktur fisik, tetapi juga kurangnya antarmuka yang inklusif pada aplikasi pemesanan tiket konvensional. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan inovasi teknologi berupa aplikasi "Cinema Adaptif" guna meningkatkan kemandirian dan literasi digital penyandang disabilitas. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dirancang dalam tiga tahapan terstruktur: observasi dan analisis kebutuhan mitra, perancangan purwarupa berbasis User Interface/User Experience yang adaptif, serta implementasi melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan partisipatif. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan capaian yang sangat positif, di mana lebih dari 80% peserta berhasil melakukan simulasi pemesanan tiket secara mandiri tanpa bantuan fasilitator. Implementasi aplikasi ini terbukti efektif dalam mengatasi kesenjangan informasi, memfasilitasi kebutuhan aksesibilitas spesifik seperti informasi jalur kursi roda, serta meningkatkan rasa percaya diri mitra. Kesimpulannya, adopsi sistem informasi yang mengedepankan desain inklusif mampu mendobrak hambatan sosial sekaligus mendukung terwujudnya ekosistem layanan publik yang setara dan ramah disabilitas di Kota Denpasar.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing user satisfaction and continuance intention of Learning Management Systems (LMS) among international students in a mandatory academic ecosystem. This study has significant significance in bridging the theoretical gap between the cognitive adoption model (UTAUT) and the affective post-adoption evaluation (ECM) in a tech-savvy cross-cultural user segment. Using a causal-associative quantitative design, data were collected through a structured online questionnaire from 71 International Undergraduate Program (IUP) student respondents selected through a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was conducted using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method with the assistance of SmartPLS software version 4.0. The results of the path analysis showed that effort expectancy and social influence had a positive and significant effect on satisfaction, while performance expectancy and facilitating conditions did not show a significant effect. Furthermore, satisfaction was proven to exclusively mediate the effect of effort expectancy on continuance intention of LMS. The implications of this research confirm that in institutionally mandated systems, user motivation shifts to academic compliance. Therefore, higher education institutions are advised to prioritize eliminating everyday technical barriers through intuitive interface design to foster genuine international student satisfaction.

Abstract

Laba Ayu merupakan usaha penjualan daging segar yang masih menjalankan proses pemesanan, pencatatan transaksi, dan pengelolaan stok secara manual, sehingga menimbulkan berbagai kendala seperti keterlambatan pelayanan, ketidaksesuaian data stok, serta kurang optimalnya pengelolaan laporan penjualan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang antarmuka aplikasi mobile “Laba Ayu” yang dapat mendukung proses pemesanan, manajemen stok, dan pengelolaan laporan secara terintegrasi serta mudah digunakan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Design Thinking yang meliputi tahapan empathize, define, ideate, prototype, dan test, dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner. Evaluasi usability dilakukan menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) untuk mengukur tingkat kemudahan dan kenyamanan penggunaan aplikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rancangan antarmuka aplikasi mampu menjawab kebutuhan pengguna berdasarkan user persona dan user flow yang telah disusun. Pengujian usability menghasilkan skor SUS sebesar 78,25 yang termasuk dalam kategori baik (good) dan dapat diterima oleh pengguna. Dengan demikian, aplikasi Laba Ayu dinilai layak digunakan sebagai solusi digital untuk meningkatkan efisiensi operasional dan kualitas pelayanan usaha.

Abstract

This study designs Baszone, a web-based basketball court booking application developed through design thinking methodology. As basketball participation increases, manual reservation processes create significant obstacles for users and administrators. The research employed interviews with field administrators at DC Basketball in Denpasar, Bali, to identify operational challenges and user needs. Design thinking was implemented across five stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. During empathize, interviews revealed booking difficulties including time-consuming manual processes and schedule conflicts. The define stage established user personas representing target audience characteristics. Ideate produced storyboards visualizing application workflows. Prototype development utilized Figma to create high-fidelity interface designs. Testing involved potential users evaluating the application through System Usability Scale (SUS) methodology. Results demonstrate that Baszone significantly enhances booking efficiency and accessibility. The application provides real-time field availability, streamlined reservation processes, and transparent payment management. SUS testing yielded a score of 92, indicating excellent usability performance. Respondents reported satisfaction with operational simplicity, optimal functionality, and comfortable interaction patterns. Baszone successfully addresses manual booking limitations while meeting user expectations for modern sports facility management systems.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates the utilization of ethnopragmatic storytelling methodologies by secondary educators in Denpasar City, Indonesia. This research utilizes an ethnopragmatic framework to examine the use of storytelling as an educational method by five teachers from two selected high schools, with the objective of imparting curriculum content while preserving cultural values and enhancing student engagement. This study employs in-depth semi-structured interviews and thematic analysis to delineate three primary themes: (1) cultural preservation through narrative pedagogy, (2) enhanced student engagement and comprehension, and (3) challenges in implementation and assessment. The findings demonstrate that ethnopragmatic storytelling successfully integrates local cultural knowledge with formal educational objectives, although educators face challenges in systematic implementation and evaluation. This study contributes to the growing literature on culturally responsive teaching and provides valuable guidance for high school educators seeking to implement narrative techniques.

Abstract

Permasalahan sampah organik, khususnya sisa rumah tangga dan limbah pertanian, menjadi tantangan utama dalam menjaga keberlanjutan lingkungan di Desa Bresela. Metode konvensional seperti penimbunan dan pembakaran tidak sejalan dengan tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs), terutama pilar ke-12 (Konsumsi dan Produksi yang Bertanggung Jawab) dan ke-13 (Penanganan Perubahan Iklim). Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memberdayakan masyarakat Wantilan Desa Bresela melalui sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan praktik Magot Farming (budidaya larva Black Soldier Fly / BSF, Hermetia illucens) sebagai solusi inovatif yang bersifat sirkular. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi: (1) Sosialisasi teoritis tentang konsep 5R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Replant) dan potensi BSF, (2) Pelatihan teknis meliputi pemeliharaan indukan, penetasan telur, dan pembesaran magot, serta (3) Pendampingan dan evaluasi berkelanjutan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pengetahuan masyarakat (kenaikan skor rata-rata pre-test dan post-test sebesar 35%) dan terbentuknya kelompok budidaya magot mandiri. Selain mereduksi volume sampah organik hingga 60% per hari di area percontohan, magot yang dihasilkan berhasil diolah menjadi pakan ternak berprotein tinggi (40-50%) dan kasgot (bekas magot) sebagai pupuk organik. Program ini terbukti efektif dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan lokal, menciptakan peluang ekonomi baru, dan mengintegrasikan aspek lingkungan, sosial, serta ekonomi menuju Desa Berkelanjutan.
