Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan proses implementasi keilmuan yang dipelajari di perguruan tinggi guna memberikan manfaat seluas-luasnya bagi masyarakat. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk mengimplementasikan ilmu pengetahuan yang telah diperoleh selama perkuliahan kepada masyarakat, membangun ikatan silaturahmi antara dosen dan mahasiswa di lingkup program studi  dan fakultas, serta secara umum di lingkungan Universitas Serambi Mekkah dengan masyarakat Gampong Luthu Dayah Krueng. Kegiatan Pengabdian dilaksanakan di Gampong Luthu Dayah Krueng Kecamatan Sukamakmur Kabupaten Aceh Besar pada tanggal 20 Maret 2023  secara kolaboratif dengan melibatkan Dosen dan Mahasiswa selingkupan FKIP Universitas Serambi Mekkah. Rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian terdiri atas penyampaian pentingnya literasi bagi masyarakat, penyerahan bingkisan berupa kain sarun, Alquran dan cat untuk pagar meunasah, serangkaian perlombaan dan pengecatan areal meunasah. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan lancar, yang ditandai dengan partisipasi aktif dari semua pihak yang terlibat yaitu pihak kampus Universitas Serambi Mekkah Kota Banda Aceh  dan masyarakat Gampong Luthu Dayah Krueng. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat dilaksanakan secara berkala dan berkelanjutan, sehingga dapat memberikan berbagai macam manfaat dan menumbuhkan rasa persaudaraan.

Abstract

Literasi merupakan keterampilan penting yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap siswa. Kemampuan literasi meliputi seluruh keterampilan berbahasa yaitu menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Dalam pembelajaran, kemampuan ini merupakan langkah awal yang sangat penting dalam keberhasilan proses pembelajaran yang produktif dikarenakan dengan kemampuan literasi yang baik siswa memiliki daya serap yang baik terhadap informasi yang diperolehnya sehingga dapat menghasilkan gagasan dan karya. Kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat ini telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 11 November 2021 di MAN 2 Aceh Besar melibatkan guru dan siswa MAN 2 Aceh Besar, mahasiswa serta Dosen Prodi Pendidikan Matematika, Dosen dan staff Universitas Serambi Mekkah dan Delegasi HMJ selingkupan FKIP Universitas Serambi Mekkah. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan secara langsung/ kunjungan lapangan ke sekolah yang meliputi workshop penulisan karya ilmiah, Mahasiswa Mengajar dan penanaman pohon bersama dosen dan mahasiswa. Kegiatan pengabdian terlaksana dengan lancar, tertib dan sukses dibuktikan dengan animo peserta yang berhadir tidak hanya dari Prodi Pendidikan Matematika juga dari Prodi yang lain selingkupan institusi Universitas Serambi Mekkah, juga sambutan yang sangat meriah dan antusias dari siswa dan guru-guru MAN 2 Aceh Besar yang sangat fokus dan berperan aktif dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini.

Abstract

Ecotourism improvement has been a challenge in developing the community’s welfare. This study investigated the potential role of Panglima Laôt as traditional wisdom for the sustainable development of marine ecotourism. Its role was responsible for a sustainable environment and preservation of culture through a traditional approach. Teupin Layeu Iboih beach has potential and fantastic scenery on the coast and under seawater that attracts many tourists. These merits should provide many benefits for the residents in the tourist spot. In this sense, the contributions of the Panglima Laôt have appeared to improve the marine resources and the quality of the landscape in Teupin Layeu Iboih, Sabang city. The Panglima Laôt has formulated and promulgated strict regulations to encourage a sustainable coastal and marine environment. The local wisdom would increase the welfare of the people living in the coastal area, and the harmonization between humans and the biosphere can be achieved.

Abstract

Penelitian ini di latarbelakangi hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas VII MTs Tgk Chik Pante Kulu Aceh Besar yang masih rendah dan kurang dari KKM yaitu70. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi hasil belajar IPA bagi siswa kelas VII MTs Tgk Chik Pante Kulu dengan materi Zat dan Perubahannya. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (classroom action resech). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini yaitu observasi dan tes hasil belajar IPA. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada prestasi belajar IPA siswa kelas VII. Pada siklus I prosentase aktifitas guru hanya 58% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 89%. Prosentase aktifitas siswa Siklus I mencapai 58% dan pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 86%. Sedangkan prosentase hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I tingkat ketuntasannya hanya 43% dengan rata-rata nilai 65, setelah penerapan pendekatan kontekstual pada siklus II meningkat menjadi 86% dengan rata-rat nilai 81. Dari analisis data tersebut terjadi peningkatan baik dari aktifitas guru, aktifitas siswa serta hasil belajar siswa. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan CTL bisa meningkatakan prestasi belajar IPA siswa Kelas VII MTs Tgk Chik Pante Kulu Aceh Besar.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the level of misconception using the Four-Tier Test (FTT) for science teachers. Data collection to obtain the required information was carried out using a diagnostic test instrument which was distributed to 29 teachers who were selected as a sample of the total population of science teachers who teach at SMPN in Banda Aceh. To provide an interpretation by differentiating the level of conception of respondents, they are divided into seven categories based on the combination of answers, namely scientific conceptions (SC), misconceptions (MSC), lack of knowledge guessing (LKG), lack of knowledge deficiency (LKD), false positives (FP), false negatives (FN), cannot be encoded (TKD). The test instrument used in the form of Four-Tier Multiple Choice questions as many as 24 items has been equipped with a choice of the Certainty of Response Index (CRI) confidence level along with the reasons for the answer choices. The results showed that scientific conceptions (SC) 30.46%, misconceptions (MSC) 29.74%, lack of knowledge guessing (LKG) 5.32%, lack of knowledge deficiency (LKD) 8.48%, false positives (FP) 13.07%, false negatives (FN) 12.93%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' understanding of using GoogleClassroom as an online learning medium at FKIP USM. The method used inthis study is descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach and data analysisusing percentages. The subjects in this study were students of the naturalsciences (Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry) environment FKIPUniversitas Serambi Mekkah, amounting to 51 people. The instrument used inthis study was a student understanding questionnaire. Based on the results ofthis study, there are 1 respondent (2%) who responds very high, 5 respondents(10%) responds high, 35 respondents (69%) responds moderately, 9respondents (18%) responds low, and 1 respondent (2%) ) responds very low.Based on the results of research on student understanding in the use of GoogleClassroom in online learning, it can be concluded that it is good, this is evidentfrom student data making it easier to store and access documents such asmaterial or important assignments sent via Google Classroom, so that ifstudents have not had time to print the required documents, they can accessthem first through Google Classroom. In addition, students are also facilitatedto obtain announcements given by lecturers quickly (real time) so that theybecome effective and efficient in terms of time.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the percentage of students who experience misconceptions (MIS), know the concept (KCC), do not know the concept (LK), Guess (LG), and not confidence (NC) in learning electricity concepts; in what subconcepts students experience misconceptions and what causes misconceptions. The object of the research was the first-level D-III students of Radiology Engineering in the first semester of the 2016/2017 school year who contracted the Basic Physics course. The study was conducted in November 2016. The method used is descriptive method. In this study the CRI Three-Tier Test decision matrix is used to identify student misconceptions. Identification is done by using a structured choice diagnostic test that is equipped with an index of student confidence in the test answers and also equipped with a column of reasons from the answers given by students. To find out the cause of the misconception conducted interviews. The results of CRI diagnostic data analysis showed that of the 37 students who were the object of research it was found that as many as 26.35% did not know the concept (LK), 20.95% knew the concept (KCC) where the students were in accordance with scientific conceptions, 0.51% students guessed LG), 40.88% of students experienced misconceptions (Mis), and 11.32% of answers to students who were not confident (NC). The highest percentage of misconception was found in the sub-principle of ohm's legal concept (41.08%), kirchhoff's legal sub-concept (41.89%) and sub-basic concepts of electric and parallel circuits (40.54%). The results of the interviews showed that the causes of the misconceptions included the character of abstract electrical concepts, lack of understanding of the concept, difficulty analyzing the sequence, and the unpreparedness of students to accept material delivered by the lecturer.

Abstract

Instrumen evaluasi harus mampu mengukur kemampuan literasi digital dari berbagai tingkatan. Hal ini dapat dilakukan dengan memasukkan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang sesuai dengan tingkat kemampuan mahasiswa.Model penelitian dan pengembangan model 4D terdiri dari 4 tahapan, yaitu define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Pada artikel ini dibahas tahapan design (perancangan), yaitu uji keterbacaan instrumen evaluasi melalui persepsi mahasiswa dengan menggunakan angket meliputi (1) penggunaan bahasa (2) kejelasan Penyajian (3) Manfaat evaluasi melalui quzizz. Jenis data yang dihasilkan pada penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif.hasil penelitian yang melibatkan 20 responden untuk aspek bahasa keterbacaan literasi digital instrumen evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi quizizz sebesar 79% tergolong kriteria Baik. Aspek kejelasan untuk keterbacaan literasi digital pada evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi quizizz sebesar 96% tergolong kriteria sangat baik dan aspek kemanfaatan keterbacaan literasi digital pada evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi quizizz sebesar 89% tergolong kriteria sangat baik.Berdasarkan pengumpulan data penelitian terkait uji validasi angket keterbacaan literasi digital yang diperoleh dari 3 orang validator didapat instrumen keterbacaan literasi digital pada evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi quizizz untuk indikator aspek bahasa sebesar 88% dan Kemanfaatan 93% tergolong kriteria sangat valid sehingga instrumen sangat baik untuk digunakan. Aspek kejelasan untuk instrumen keterbacaan literasi digital pada evaluasi pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi quizizz sebesar 83% tergolong kriteria valid sehingga instrument dapat digunakan namun perlu perbaikan minor terutama dalam indikator tampilan aplikasi yang dapat menarik motivasi mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of science literacy in science teacher candidates using the Test of Scientific Literacy Skills (TOSLS). This study uses descriptive quantitative research design. Sampling using random sampling technique on Science Study Program students with the number of students sampled as many as 60 people. The instrument used is a test tool for scientific literacy skills developed by the author with reference to the indicators contained in the development of the TOSLS test as many as 39 questions. The results showed that the indicator of understanding the investigation that leads to scientific knowledge was in the simply category with the interpretation of the average score obtained of 62.69, and the indicator of organizing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative data and scientific information was in the simply category with the interpretation of the average score of 60.89. Meanwhile, when viewed based on the distribution of the number of respondents, 3% were found in the very good category, 34% in the good category, 43% in the sufficient category, 17% in the insufficient category, and 3% in the very insufficient category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that prospective science teacher students already have science literacy skills in accordance with the good and simply categories, although there is one competency that is still less, namely in reading and interpreting graphical representations of data.
