Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi peserta didik melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning berbantuan LKPD berbasis masalah pada materi Perubahan Lingkungan di kelas X MIPA SMAS Muhammadiyah Lemahabang Kabupaten Cirebon. Langkah-langkah pelaksanaan yang telah dilakukan penulis, diantaranya memilih pendekatan, model pembelajaran, bahan ajar, metode dan media yang sesuai. Guru menggunakan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi perubahan lingkungan. Model pembelajaran PBL menggunakan metode berupa diskusi kelompok, presentasi dan tanya jawab. Sedangkan bahan ajar menggunakan LKPD berbasis masalah. Prosedur penelitian terdiri dari empat tahap, yakni (1) perencanaan, (2) tindakan, (3) observasi, dan (4) refleksi. Berdasarkan analisis hasil belajar dapat diketahui nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 65,50 dan nilai rata-rata postest 72,00 dikarenakan siswa yang mendapatkan nilai diatas KKM sudah melebihi 80% yaitu 10 siswa, dan siswa yang mendapatkan nilai dibawah KKM sebanyak 2 siswa dengan presentasi 20%. Nilai tertinggi pretest adalah 90 dan postest 95 dan nilai terendah pretest adalah 60 dan postest 70. Hasil proses diskusi yang dilakukan siswa dalam pembelajaran mendapatkan nilai yang baik, dan penilaian LKPD peserta didik juga dalam pembelajaran mendapatkan nilai yang baik. Dengan penilaian hasil LKPD berbasis masalah peserta didik mampu menganalisis permasalahan sangat baik 90%, kelancaran mengevaluasi pemecahan masalah sangat baik 85%, dan kualitas hasil laporan pemecahan masalah sangat baik 80%. LKPD berbasis masalah ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan penguasaan materi peserta didik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model PBL dengan LKPD berbasis masalah dapat memberikan kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk terlibat secara aktif untuk berfikir tingkat tinggi mulai dari menganalisis, mengevaluasi dan mencipta. Menyadari betapa pentingnya pembelajaran yang demikian, maka pendidik dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran secara berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Kemampuan berfikir tingkat tinggi, PBL; LKPD EFFORTS TO IMPROVE STUDENTS' HIGH-LEVEL THINKING SKILLS THROUGH THE PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL) MODEL ASSISTED BY PROBLEM-BASED WORKSHEETS (LKPD) IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL CHANGES MATERIAL ABSTRACT This study aims to improve students' high-level thinking skills through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by problem-based worksheets (LKPD) in the Environmental Changes material for 10th-grade science students at Muhammadiyah Lemahabang High School, Cirebon Regency. The steps taken by the author include selecting an approach, learning model, teaching materials, suitable methods, and media. Teachers used the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in the Environmental Changes material. PBL involves methods such as group discussions, presentations, and question-and-answer sessions. The teaching material utilized problem-based worksheets. The research procedure consists of four stages: (1) planning, (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Based on the analysis of learning outcomes, the average pretest score was 65.50, and the average posttest score was 72.00. This is because students who scored above the minimum passing grade (KKM) exceeded 80%, with 10 students, while those below KKM were 2 students, accounting for 20%. The highest pretest score was 90, and the highest posttest score was 95, while the lowest pretest score was 60, and the lowest posttest score was 70. The results of student discussions during learning were good, and the assessment of problem-based worksheets showed positive results. Based on the problem-based worksheets assessment, students were able to analyze problems very well at 90%, evaluate problem-solving very well at 85%, and the quality of problem-solving reports was very good at 80%. It is expected that these problem-based worksheets can improve students' mastery of the material. In conclusion, the use of the PBL model with problem-based worksheets can provide students with opportunities to actively engage in high-level thinking, from analyzing to evaluating and creating. Recognizing the importance of such learning, educators can enhance the quality of learning continuously. Keywords: High-level thinking skills, PBL, Worksheets (LKPD)

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah yang terjadi dalam pembelajaran di kelas X TSM, fokus masalah diuraikan sebagai berikut: bagaimana gambaran penerapan model Problem Based Learning dengan E-LKPD untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa di kelas X TSM 1. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif pada siswa SMK Pesantren Ciwaringin kelas X TSM 1 materi pencemaran lingkungan. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian kuantitatif sebelum melaksanakan pembelajaran menunjukkan bahwa hanya 25% yang nilainya sudah tuntas. Sedangkan setelah melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menerapkan pembelajaran Problem Based Learning berbantu E-LKPD hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa 81,25% siswa nilainya sudah tuntas, akan tetapi masih ada 18,75% siswa yang nilainya masih belum tuntas. Kemudian berdasarkan hasil penilaian kualitatif yang dilihat dari penilaian E-LKPD menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 75% siswa mendapat nilai berkategori baik, dan 25% siswa mendapat nilai berkategori amat baik. Kesimpulan penelitian bahwa pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan E-LKPD dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berfikir tingkat tinggi siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di kelas X TSM 1 SMK Pesantren Ciwaringin. Kata kunci: Model PBL, E-LKPD, berpikir tingkat tinggi IMPROVEMENT OF HIGH-ORDER THINKING SKILLS OF STUDENTS THROUGH THE PROBLEM BASED LEARNING MODEL WITH E-LKPD ON ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION MATERIAL ABSTRACT This research is motivated by issues that arise in learning in class X TSM, and the focus of the problem is outlined as follows: how is the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model with E-LKPD to enhance the higher-order thinking skills of students in class X TSM 1. The research method employed a combination of quantitative and qualitative approaches with students from SMK Pesantren Ciwaringin in class X TSM 1 studying environmental pollution. Based on the quantitative assessment before implementing the learning, only 25% of the students had completed scores. However, after implementing Problem Based Learning with the assistance of E-LKPD, the results showed that 81.25% of the students had completed scores, but there were still 18.75% of students whose scores were not yet satisfactory. Furthermore, the qualitative assessment based on E-LKPD indicated that 75% of the students received good ratings, and 25% of the students received excellent ratings. The research concludes that Problem Based Learning with E-LKPD can enhance the higher-order thinking skills of students in environmental pollution topics in class X TSM 1 at SMK Pesantren Ciwaringin. Abstract

Education in the modern era demands the development of student competencies beyond the core subjects. One of the efforts to achieve this is extracurricular, especially the Adolescent scientific group (KIR). KIR provides students with opportunities to develop their research, problem-solving, and creativity skills. To maximize the benefits of this activity, effective KIR assistance is needed and the use of mini-research-based authentic assessments can help facilitate KIR assistance in achieving its goals. The KIR Assistance Method includes the stages of planning, implementation, and evaluation. The results of KIR's mentoring activities include helping to facilitate students to add insight academically and scientific paper writing skills, 60% of students have been able to make mini-research designs well, but 80% of students stated that students still experience problems in terms of time to do the mini research.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an authentic assessment and analyze the implementation of a project-based authentic assessment with a scientific approach in biology practicum. The research method employed was Research and Development (R&D) using the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) design model. The results showed that, based on expert validation, the content expert evaluation yielded a score of 85.27% and the media expert evaluation yielded 80.35%, indicating that the developed authentic assessment is valid and suitable for use. The practicality test revealed that the use of project-based authentic assessment obtained a percentage score of 83.34%, categorized as practical. The practicality indicators measured included ease of use, clarity of instructions, adequacy of allocated time, and the suitability of the assessment format to user needs. The effectiveness test indicated that the use of project-based authentic assessment obtained a percentage score of 83.35%, categorized as highly effective. The effectiveness indicators measured included the assessment’s ability to optimally measure learning outcomes, the alignment of project tasks with learning objectives, the improvement of students’ skills, and the achievement of learning outcomes as targeted. The findings of this study recommend the use of project-based authentic assessment for learning activities in all practicum courses within the Biology Education study program.

Abstract

The urgency of this research lies in the pressing need for universities to align with Learning Process Standards, which mandate the development of teaching materials grounded in research findings. Such materials are crucial for nurturing highly skilled and competent graduates in various fields. Specifically, the creation of STEM-based E-Modules in freshwater fisheries courses is vital for equipping biology students with 21st-century skills. These skills are essential for applying scientific knowledge to real-life scenarios and for generating societal benefits through innovative products. The research method used is Research and Development design, using the PPE model, namely Planning, Production, and Evaluation. Data collection using expert team validation sheets and questionnaire sheets. Data analysis uses Miles and Hubermann analysis to analyze expert validation data. The results of validation by validators in the STEM-based freshwater fisheries E-Module include assessment results from media experts showing assessment results of 83% (very feasible) and assessment results from STEM content experts of 81% (very feasible). The results of the questionnaire by lecturers showed an average score of 83% (practical) and the results of questionnaires by students show an average score of 80% (practical).  Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the developed STEM-Based E-Modules on Freshwater Fisheries can facilitate students to practice 21st century skills.

Abstract

The E-Assessment is designed by lecturers as an evaluation instrument for prospective teachers conducting mini-research to support 21st-century skills. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE research design. The research sample consists of 50 students enrolled in the Biology Education FKIP Universitas Kuningan. Data collection was conducted through observations to identify problems and assessment needs, questionnaires for expert validation, and feedback from lecturers as users.The E-Assessment was developed using Microsoft Excel and iSpring Suite Maker, featuring a mini-research task on Endocrinology learning, a rubric for assessing 21st-century skills indicators, and cognitive questions. The results of media expert validation indicated that the product is highly feasible (89%), evaluation experts rated it as very feasible (91%), and subject matter experts rated it as very feasible (88%). Based on lecturer responses, the product is practical and effective for use (81%), while the achievement of 21st-century skills using the developed E-Assessment is 87.54%. This indicates an improvement in the 21st-century skills of students through mini-research assessed using the developed E-Assessment. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed product can serve as an alternative digital-based authentic assessment that lecturers can use to evaluate students' 21st-century skills.

Abstract

Oyster mushrooms have many positive benefits, namely lowering cholesterol, as antibacterial and antitumor, and can produce hydrolysis enzymes and oxidation enzymes. Mushrooms have the characteristics of being quickly damaged and rotten if they are not handled quickly and appropriately, so that processing techniques are needed that are fast, precise, and easy to apply and have an increasing economic value. Most of the residents have received training in mushroom cultivation techniques and formed a group of farmers in the field of oyster mushroom cultivation. The harvest of oyster mushrooms produced in large quantities is only processed into food and sold in the market on demand. However, the amount of demand is not balanced with the mushroom production which is quite abundant. Based on these problems, a training service activity was carried out to process post-harvest mushrooms into mushroom nuggets, crispy mushrooms and mushroom sausages. In addition, instructions on attractive and economical packaging techniques and online marketing techniques are also given so that products can be more easily recognized and marketed to the wider community. Where the hope is to create new business opportunities for villagers so that they can improve the economy of Tenjolayar Village, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. Abstrak Jamur tiram memiliki banyak manfaat positif bagi kesehatan, yaitu menurunkan kolesterol, sebagai antibakterial dan antitumor, serta dapat menghasilkan enzim hidrolisis dan enzim oksidasi. Jamur memiliki karakteristik cepat mengalami kerusakan dan kebusukan jika tidak segera ditangani dengan cepat dan tepat, sehingga diperlukan Teknik pengolahan jamur tiram dengan cepat, tepat, dan mudah diaplikasikan serta memiliki dampak untuk meningkatkan nilai ekonomi. Berdasarkan hasil observasi sebagian besar warga telah mendapatkan pelatihan Teknik budidaya jamur dan terbentuk kelompok petani di bidang budidaya jamur tiram. Hasil panen jamur tiram yang dihasilkan dari beberapa rumah tangga yang membudidayakan jamur tiram dalam jumlah besar hanya diolah menjadi masakan serta dijual di pasar sesuai permintaan. Namun jumlah permintaan tidak seimbang dengan produksi jamur yang cukup melimpah. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut maka dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian pelatihan mengolah jamur pasca panen menjadi nuget jamur, jamur krispy dan sosis jamur yang mempunyai nilai ekonomi tinggi serta mudah pengolahannya. Selain itu juga diberikan pengarahan teknik pengemasan yang menarik dan ekonomis serta teknik pemasaran online agar produk dapat lebih mudah dikenal dan dipasarkan ke masyarakat luas. Dimana harapannya adalah menciptakan peluang usaha baru bagi warga desa sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian warga DesaTenjolayar terutama di masa pandemic Covid-19.

Abstract

Environmental Literacy is important for every member of society to have environmental knowledge, be responsive and be able to propose solutions to environmental problems. The environmental problem identified is the abundance of inorganic waste or plastic waste, especially glass and bottled drinks that have not been utilized, which has the potential to cause environmental pollution which as a result can have a negative impact on health. The community empowerment activity carried out was conducting training on the use of inorganic waste as a hydroponic medium for residents of Kasturi village. Hydroponics is a planting technique using water as a medium, easy to apply and can utilize equipment from unused waste. The results of this training activity are that the community has the skills to process plastic waste into hydroponic planting media, the community has an understanding of the importance of environmental literacy so that it is sensitive to problems that occur in the environment, the community has the skills to cultivate plants using hydroponic techniques and based on the questionnaire distributed to participants that the community has the will to develop hydroponic cultivation as a new business opportunity. Abstrak Literasi Lingkungan merupakan hal yang penting bagi setiap anggota Masyarakat untuk memiliki pengetahuan lingkungan, tanggap dan mampu mengajukan solusi terhadap permasalahan lingkungan. Permasalahan lingkungan yang teridentifikasi adalah melimpahnya limbah anorganik atau limbah plastic terutama gelas dan botol minuman kemasan yang belum dimanfaatkan sehingga berpotensi menimbulkan pencemaran lingkungan yang akibatnya dapat berdampak negative bagi Kesehatan. Kegiatan pemberdayaan Masyarakat yang dilakukan adalah melakukan pelatihan pemanfaatan limbah anorganik sebagai media hidroponik untuk warga desa Kasturi. Hidroponik merupakan Teknik penanaman menggunakan media air, mudah diaplikasikan dan dapat memanfaatkan peralatan dari limbah yang sudah tidak terpakai. Hasil dari kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah Masyarakat mempunyai keterampilan dalam mengolah limbah plastic menjadi media tanam hidroponik, Masyarakat mempunyai pemahaman pentingnya literasi lingkungan agar peka terhadap permasalahan yang terjadi di lingkungan, Masyarakat mempunyai keterampilan dalam melakukan budidaya tanaman menggunakan Teknik hidroponik dan berdasarkan kuisioner yang disebarkan kepada peserta bahwa Masyarakat mempunyai kemauan untuk mengembangkan budidaya hidroponik sebagai peluang usaha baru.

Abstract

Keterbatasan fasilitas laboratorium Biologi dan rendahnya keterampilan penggunaan mikroskop menjadi permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran biologi di SMA Ciwaru. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi praktikum biologi siswa melalui pelatihan penggunaan mikroskop yang sistematis dan aplikatif. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif-kolaboratif melalui empat tahapan: sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Peserta kegiatan adalah 30 siswa kelas XI dan 1 guru biologi SMAN Ciwaru. Pelatihan mencakup pengenalan bagian mikroskop, teknik pengamatan dan pengaturan fokus, pembuatan preparat, serta mini project observasi mikroskopik. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan siswa: kemampuan mengatur fokus meningkat dari 17% menjadi 87%, dan kemampuan membuat preparat meningkat dari 20% menjadi 83%. Evaluasi melalui kuesioner menunjukkan 93% siswa menyatakan pelatihan sangat bermanfaat, 87% merasa lebih termotivasi, dan 90% mengalami peningkatan pemahaman konsep biologi. Program ini juga menghasilkan modul pelatihan sebagai luaran berkelanjutan. Pelatihan terbukti efektif meningkatkan kompetensi praktikum biologi siswa dan memperkuat budaya pembelajaran sains berbasis praktik di sekolah mitra, selaras dengan SDGs tujuan 4 tentang pendidikan berkualitas

Abstract

One of the current issues in education is the low level of students"™ science process skills, which should be a key component in developing 21st-century competencies. This issue is caused by several factors, including limitations in implementing inquiry-based learning models and the minimal use of technology-based learning materials such as E-LKPD. This study aims to analyze the improvement of students"™ science process skills through the implementation of the Modified Free Inquiry learning model assisted by E-LKPD on the excretory system topic at SMA Negeri 2 Kuningan. The research method used was a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The study subjects consisted of two classes: the experimental class, which received treatment using the Modified Free Inquiry learning model assisted by E-LKPD, and the control class, which used the Discovery Learning model assisted by E-LKPD. Instruments used included essay tests (pretest and posttest), student response questionnaires, observation sheets of science process skills performance, and learning implementation observation sheets. The results showed an improvement in science process skills in both the experimental and control classes. The experimental class achieved a higher N-Gain score in the moderate category, and the Mann-Whitney hypothesis test showed that Zcount > Ztable, indicating that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In addition, the science process skills performance observation sheet showed an average score of 73 in the good category, students gave positive responses to the learning process with an average questionnaire score in the very good category, and learning implementation reached 97% in the very good category. Therefore, the Modified Free Inquiry learning model assisted by E-LKPD is effective in improving students"™ science process skills and is feasible to be implemented in biology learning.
