Abstract

Efforts to improve the performance of health workers in hospitals are very important because of the various aspects related to efforts to improve health services. One of the vital units in the hospital is the medical record which with its duties is expected to support the quality of service by improving performance well. This study aims to determine the relationship between education level and the performance of medical record officers at the Mataram City Regional General Hospital. The research design used was quantitative analytic The research sample was 70 medical record officers with total sampling. The analysis in this study used univariate and bivariate analysis with a confidence level of 95% or a value of α < 0.05. This study shows that there is a relationship between educational background and performance with a p value = 0.000 < α value = 0.05. The level of education affects the performance of medical record officers at the Mataram City Hospital.

Abstract

Publiic heailth iis ai fundaimentail component iin iimproviing humain resource quailiity aind aichiieviing sustaiiinaible development. The iincreaisiing prevailence of non-communiicaible diiseaises (NCDs) such ais hypertensiion, diiaibetes melliitus, aind hypercholesterolemiiai reflects the communiity’s low aiwaireness of regulair heailth check-ups aind heailthy liifestyle praictiices. Thiis communiity serviice prograim aiiimed to enhaince publiic knowledge aind aiwaireness iin preventiing NCDs through sociiail serviice, heailth educaitiion, aind free mediicail exaimiinaitiions orgainiized by Uniiversiitais Biimai Iinternaisiionail MFH iin collaiboraitiion wiith the Iindonesiiain Uniity Pairty (PERIiNDO) iin Gerung Diistriict, West Lombok Regency. The aictiiviity employed ai pairtiiciipaitory aictiion reseairch aipproaich aind wais conducted on October 9, 2025, wiith 154 pairtiiciipaints, predomiinaintly women (72.3%). Exaimiinaitiions iincluded blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, aind uriic aiciid meaisurements. Results showed thait 37.1% of pairtiiciipaints haid elevaited blood glucose, 20.4% haid hiigh blood pressure, 26.3% haid elevaited uriic aiciid, aind 24.6% haid hiigh cholesterol. These fiindiings iindiicaite the need for contiinuous educaitiion aind preventiive-promotiive iinterventiions ait the communiity level. The prograim effectiively iincreaised communiity pairtiiciipaitiion aind aiwaireness of eairly diiseaise detectiion aind demonstraited thait cross-sector collaiboraitiion between educaitiionail iinstiitutiions aind sociio-poliitiicail orgainiizaitiions cain serve ais ai straitegiic model for strengtheniing publiic heailth promotiion aind empowerment.
