Abstract

A tracer study is intended to know the success of educational process of graduates. The purposes of this study is to describe: (1) the profile of graduates, (2) their learning experience, (3) the quality of their performance, competence and competitiveness, (4) their satisfactionwhen study at Universitas Terbuka (UT), (5) their willingness for further studies, (6) stakeholders perceptions on graduate, and (7) their participation on UT Alumni Association. This study was conducted by a survey of 124 respondents, through questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed descriptively and presented in the form of tabulated frequencies and percentages. The findings indicated that most respondents have educational background on high school level, GPA below 2.75, with study duration of 8 years, as well as following the lessons at UT for affordability and convenience in carrying out their work. In terms of learning experience , learning material was considered sufficient to provide empirical and practical knowledge. Study at UT was considered as capable of increasing independence and improving skills in applying theory and communication. In the aspect of quality of performance, most stated that they have responsibilities in doing their tasks. Majority considered that their competence was increased, except in using the Internet and foreign language. In the aspect of competitiveness, they claimed a similar quality with other college graduates. Their satisfaction of UT service was considered as good , particularly on credit transfer service and Program Final Task (TAP). Their willingness for further studies was low, but high in attending training activities. The manager considered their learning experience, performance, competencies and competitiveness was good, and stated that their study result had quite impact on their career development . The communication among UT alumni wass still low due to the ineffectiveness of UT alumni association. Tujuan tracer study Program Studi (PS) Agribisnis adalah untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) profil lulusan, (2) pengalaman belajar lulusan, (3) kualitas kinerja, kompetensi dan daya saing lulusan, (4) kepuasan lulusan terhadap sistem belajar di Universitas Terbuka (UT), (5) keinginan lulusan untuk studi lanjut, (6) penilaian stakeholders terhadap lulusan, dan (7) partisipasi lulusan dalam Ikatan Alumni (IKA) UT. Terkait pengalaman belajar, materi perkuliahan dianggap cukup memberikan pengetahuan empiris dan bersifat praktis. Belajar di UT dianggap mampu memupuk kemandirian serta mengasah keterampilan dalam menerapkan teori dan berkomunikasi. Pada aspek kualitas kinerja, sebagian besar responden menyatakan memiliki tanggung jawab yang baik dalam mengerjakan tugas. Pada aspek kompetensi, sebagian besar responden merasa mengalami peningkatan kompetensi setelah lulus kuliah di UT, kecuali dalam menggunakan internet dan berbahasa asing. Pada aspek daya saing, lulusan mengaku memiliki kualitas yang tidak kalah dengan lulusan perguruan tinggi lain. Kepuasan responden terhadap layanan UT bernilai baik, terutama pada layanan alih kredit dan Tugas Akhir Program (TAP). Keinginan lulusan untuk studi lanjut tergolong rendah, namun untuk mengikuti kegiatan pelatihan tergolong tinggi. Atasan menilai baik terhadap aspek pengalaman belajar, kinerja, kompetensi dan daya saing lulusan. Menurut atasan, hasil studi yang ditempuh lulusan cukup berdampak pada pengembangan karir lulusan di tempat kerja. Adapun komunikasi antar alumni UT masih rendah karena tidak efektifnya keberadaan IKA UT di daerah serta kurangnya pertemuan bersama rekan sesama alumni.

Abstract

The satisfaction of the alumni reflects the quality of the college they graduated from. Those who were satisfied and proud of their alma mater can become marketing agents for their colleges. The alumni satisfaction with the student support services available for them during their study can be obtained by administering an exit survey. Exit surveys at the same time can also capture information about support services that have not been in accordance with the need for the students. By undertaking the exit survey, the management can also elicit information on services that haven’t meet the needs of the students. Continuous improvement of services is expected to increase the persistence rate of the students. This article aims to analyze the results of the exit surveys conducted at the university. The results of the analysis can be considered for the improvement of learning support services to students. Kepuasan alumni dapat mencerminkan kualitas dari suatu perguruan tinggi. Alumni yang merasa puas dan bangga terhadap almamaternya dapat menjadi agen pemasaran bagi perguruan tingginya. Kepuasan alumni terhadap layanan bantuan belajar yang disediakan bagi mereka selama studi dapat dijaring dengan metode exit survey. Exit survey sekaligus juga dapat menjaring informasi mengenai layanan bantuan belajar yang belum sesuai dengan kebutuhan selama menjadi mahasiswa. Perbaikan layanan kepada mahasiswa dapat meningkatkan tingkat kebertahanan mahasiswa pada perguruan tingginya. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hasil exit survey di Universitas Terbuka (UT). Hasil analisis dapat dijadikan bahan pertimbangan untuk peningkatan layanan bantuan belajar kepada mahasiswa.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) obtain a valid mathematics learning tools model cooperative script with realistic mathematics approaches to improve mathematics communication skills; (2) a practical mathematics learning tools model cooperative script with realistic mathematics approaches to improve mathematics communication skills; (3) test the effectiveness of mathematics learning tools model cooperative script with realistic mathematics approaches to improve mathematics communication skills; The research consisted of two stages. The first stage is developing a learning device. The second stage is the implementation of learning using the learning device. The development of learning tolls in this study adapting development model proposed by Thiaragajan, Semmel, & Semmel includes define, design, develop, and disseminate. Disseminate not implemented in this study. The average value of the validation by the experts that developed the device is good. Individual mastery test results showed t calculate  7.3420296 > t table so it can exceed Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning. Average test results the classical completeness showed z calculate  2,4495 is outside the reception area of H₀. So, it can be concluded mathematics learning model of cooperative script with realistic mathematical approaches to effectively help student achieve complete Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning. The result test difference in average value of mathematical communication ability test showed t calculate  6.277818 > t table. This means that the average student mathematical communication ability test experimental class is better than the average test communication ability mathematical student control class. Being two different test results show the proportion of z calculate  2.30551 is outside the reception area H₀. So it can be concluded that the number of students with communication skills math test scores reached the limit of Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning in the experimental class more than the number of students who reach the limit value Minimum Criteria of Mastery Learning completed in experimental class. Data were analyzed by SPSS 17 resulted in the regression equation Y ̂ = 51.652 + 6.019X₁ + 5.562X₂, It means each additional character variable independence (X₁) of the unit will add to the value of mathematical ability test (Y ̂) of 6.019. Average each additional variable of mathematical communication skills (X₂) of the unit will occur the value addition of mathematical communication ability test (Y ̂) of 5.561.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the implementation of Curriculum 2013 at primary schools in Bogor. The evaluation includes school objectives, learning tools, lesson planning, learning implementation, assessment, and learning outcomes. This research uses the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation from Stufflebeam. The subjects of this study were teachers from five schools, school documents, and the school facilities. Data collection techniques used are documentation, observations, questionnaires, and interviews. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman interactive model analysis method. The results of the research show that: (1) there are school objectives that are still not in line with the objectives of the Curriculum 2013; (2) learning tools have not been fully met; (3) the lesson planning, implementation and assessment of learning are still not in accordance with the Curriculum 2013; and (4) the learning outcomes of students have reached the minimum criteria of completeness (KKM). Based on the results of this research, recommendations were obtained that could be used as reference for curriculum implementation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pentingnya keterampilan pemanfaatan tekonologi informasi selaras dengan tuntutan kompetensi guru dalam pemanfaatkan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi untuk kepentingan pembelajaran. Hasil analisis kebutuhan disimpulkan bahwa guru memiliki motivasi yang besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran, namun masih belum maksimal dalam membuat media berupa video pembelajaran. Tujuan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini adalah untuk memfasilitasi dan mengembangkan keterampilan guru dalam membuat media pembelajaran berupa video pembelajaran berbasis animaker untuk menunjang Teacher Professional Development of Learning. Kegiatan PkM dilaksanakan di SD Negeri Marga Mulya VI Kota Bekasi, khususnya terhadap guru kelas maupun guru mata pelajaran yang berjumlah 18 orang. Kegiatan dimulai sejak Bulan Agustus sampai dengan Bulan Oktober 2023. Pendekatan PkM dilakukan melalui Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) melalui Enam tahapan yakni: analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan, pelaksanaan/pendampingan, refleksi, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut.. Hasil evaluasi kegiatan PkM yakni: (1) meningkatnya kemampuan guru dalam membuat video pembelajaran berbasis animaker, terbukti dengan dihasilkannya 16 video pembelajaran yang layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan kategori baik; (2) terpublikasikannya kegiatan dan hasil pelatihan berupa video melalui media surat kabar, dan diunggah pada kanal youtube; dan (3) persepsi guru terhadap kegiatan PkM sangat baik. Sebagai tindak lanjut, mitra mengharapkan kegiatan PkM dilanjutkan dengan topik mengenai penyusunan instrumen asesmen dalam pembelajaran.Abstract: The importance of information technology utilization skills is in line with the demands of teacher competence in utilizing information and communication technology for the benefit of learning. The results of the needs analysis concluded that teachers have great motivation in improving the quality of learning, but still not optimal in making media in the form of learning videos. The purpose of this Community Service (PkM) activity is to facilitate and develop teacher skills in making learning media in the form of animaker-based learning videos to support Teacher Professional Development of Learning. PkM activities were carried out at SD Negeri Marga Mulya VI Bekasi City, especially for class teachers and subject teachers totaling 18 people. The activity starts from August to October 2023. The PKM approach is carried out through Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) through six stages, namely: needs analysis, planning, implementation/mentoring, reflection, evaluation, and follow-up. The results of the evaluation of PKM activities are: (1) the increasing ability of teachers to make animaker-based learning videos is proven by the production of 16 learning videos that are suitable for use in learning with good categories; (2) publication of activities and training results in the form of videos through newspaper media, and uploaded on YouTube channels; and (3) teachers' perception of PKM activities is very good. As a follow-up, partners expect PKM activities to be continued with topics on the preparation of assessment instruments in learning.

Abstract

One of the challenges faced by elementary school students in learning science concepts is low achievement, partly due to limited teaching materials that match their diverse characteristics. This study aims to develop a valid, practical, and effective Science and Social Studies (IPAS) module based on differentiated learning. The research used a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the 4-D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires, expert validation, and learning tests with fourth-grade students at SDN 9 Rantau Bayur, South Sumatra. The results indicate that the module developed meets high standards of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Its implementation in the classroom significantly improved student learning outcomes, showing that differentiated learning can enhance students’ understanding and engagement. The module not only serves as teaching material but also as a tool for teachers to implement learning that accommodates students’ readiness, interests, and profiles. The findings suggest that differentiated learning-based modules are a promising strategy to improve the quality of IPAS instruction in elementary schools. Furthermore, this study can serve as a reference for the development of similar teaching materials in other subjects or different levels of education.

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PkM) carried out in Labuan Regency aim to improve the ability of elementary schools to develop STEAM learning evaluation tools based on local culture. The main target audience of this training activity is elementary school teachers in the Labuan Banten sub-district. Based on the identification of the problem, it is known that elementary school teachers in Labuhan lack training in the development of evaluation tools, especially in STEAM learning. As a teacher, the ability to develop evaluation tools is needed to see student development. The target to be achieved in the implementation of this PKM is to increase the knowledge and skills of elementary school teachers in developing STEAM learning evaluation tools based on local culture. The method of implementing this community service activity is to use a training method that is packaged into two activities, namely seminars and workshops. The training activity began with a one-day seminar with an offline method to provide material on the scope of local culture-based STEAM learning evaluation tools, furthermore, the teachers trained themselves to develop evaluation tools with assistance from the PKM Team through online methods. The output of this service activity is a local culture-based STEAM learning evaluation tool developed by teachers and scientific publications. The results of this PkM are 3 packages of evaluation tools.

Abstract

Assessment is a critical subsystem in the overall learning process. However, teachers still face challenges in developing assessments, particularly those that align with Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The results of a needs analysis indicated that teachers at the partner schools require urgent training and guidance in creating both formative and summative assessment instruments. The Community Service Program (PkM) was conducted at SD Negeri Marga Mulya VI, Bekasi City. The PkM activities were based on the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach and consisted of six stages. The outcomes of this PkM activity include: (1) the successful implementation of training and assistance in the development of assessment instruments, enabling teachers to understand and create assessment tools; (2) the creation of assessment instruments by teachers, which can now be utilized in the learning process; and (3) positive responses from teachers, who reported that the PkM activities significantly benefited them in preparing and applying assessments in teaching.
