Abstract

Desa Balunganyar menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam pengelolaan sampah, terutama karena kekurangan fasilitas yang memadai, seperti tempat sampah yang mudah diakses. Pengabdian masyarakat dengan judul Meningkatkan Kesadaran Masyarakat Terhadap Lingkungan Melalui Pembuatan Tempat Sampah di Desa Balunganyar memiliki tujuan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai kepedulian terhadap lingkungan sejak dini, sehingga dapat mengurangi pencemaran dan risiko penyakit. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat kegiatan ini menggunakan metode PAR (Participatory Action Research). Kurangnya lokasi pembuangan yang tepat, masyarakat sering kali membuang sampah secara tidak bertanggung jawab. Hal ini menunjukkan perlunya inisiatif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat akan perlunya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Pembuatan dan mendistribusikan tong sampah yang efisien dan mudah dijangkau merupakan salah satu cara praktis untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Tempat sampah ini berfungsi sebagai fasilitas dan sumber pengajaran, meningkatkan akuntabilitas masyarakat dan kesadaran lingkungan. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat, sebagai bagian dari tridarma perguruan tinggi, berperan dalam membina mahasiswa dan berkontribusi pada pengembangan masyarakat. Melibatkan mahasiswa dalam program ini, diharapkan mereka dapat meningkatkan wawasan mengenai permasalahan masyarakat dan mendorong perubahan menuju kemajuan. Sampah rumah tangga yang tersebar dapat menyebabkan dampak negatif pada lingkungan dan kesehatan, seperti pencemaran air. Pembuatan tempat sampah bertujuan menanamkan nilai kepedulian lingkungan dan diharapkan meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat Desa Balunganyar, tidak hanya dalam pengetahuan tetapi juga dalam tindakan sehari-hari, sehingga berkontribusi pada lingkungan yang lebih bersih dan kualitas hidup yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Changes in trends in education in the era of independent learning emphasize the importance of the teacher's role as the main goal in developing learning tools according to demands. In the independent curriculum, making teaching modules is mandatory for vocational subject teachers. This module is used as an interactive learning media that helps teachers when teaching. Basically, teaching modules are made by teachers with the aim of being teaching materials as well as exercises for assessing students' knowledge, skills and attitudes. For this reason, the competency improvement workshop for the preparation of independent learning curriculum learning tools for educators at the Mandiri Kraksaan Probolinggo Vocational High School aims to provide training and assistance to educators at the Mandiri Kraksaan Probolinggo Vocational High School in the preparation of teaching learning modules based on the independent learning curriculum. at SMKS Mandiri Kraksaan Probolinggo. Service activities were carried out with the participation of 10 teachers. The results of the identification of the problems found during observation by the community service team (PKM) from Sunan Giri University Surabaya towards the Mandiri Kraksaan Probolinggo Vocational High School, namely that not all teachers who teach understand and design the learning process properly in accordance with the applicable curriculum, due to the lack of training obtained.

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kloposepuluh Village, where the Kloposepuluh Village field lacks directions that make it easier for local residents to find it. In an effort to promote the field and help villagers, this research uses the ABCD (Asset Based Communities Development) method, which is an asset-based community development approach. The focus is on utilizing the existing potential within the community. The village field was not only identified as a sporting venue, but also as a multifunctional area to play and relax with family or friends. The beauty of the field surrounded by plantations and rice fields makes it an ideal place to take pictures. KKN students from Sunan Giri University Surabaya have conducted a study that resulted in the installation of directions to Kloposepuluh Village Sports Center Field, making a positive contribution in introducing the field to the local community and improving its accessibility.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the productivity of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) work on the Integrated Polyclinic Building F construction project at Prof. Dr. Soekandar Mojosari Hospital, Mojokerto Regency using the Earned Value (EV) method. The main problems that often occur in construction projects are delays in completion time and cost overruns that can result in decreased productivity. The Earned Value method is used as a management tool to quantitatively measure project performance and provide more accurate information about project progress and deviations from the planned schedule and budget. This research analyzes project performance data through three main variables: Planned Value, Earned Value, and Actual Cost. The analysis showed that there were several errors that caused the project to be delayed and over budget. Using performance indicators such as Schedule Performance Index and Cost Performance Index, this study found important areas that need improvement and recommended optimization strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of MEP works. It is expected that the implementation of these strategies will minimize delays and control costs, so that project objectives can be achieved within the set time and budget.

Abstract

Delays in the Airlangga University Postgraduate school building revitalization project occurred due to design changes, weather and some invalid data. The aim objective this study is to identify the contributing components. delays and obtain the root of the problem which has the most important role in resolving work delays on a construction project for the revitalization of the postgraduate building at Arilangga University. This research began with collecting data through field surveys, and observing what factors caused delays that occurred during the execution of the building of the Arilangga University postgraduate building revitalization project. The methods for gathering data that were employed in this study are, firstly primary data and secondly secondary data. Primary data is data produced through field surveys, interviews and observations. Meanwhile, secondary data is based on literature study, information from related parties. This research uses the same data collection techniques as in research conducted by others relevant research. Interview and observational data revealed that the elements contributing to the delays in the construction of the Arilangga University postgraduate building revitalization project were: 1) design changes due to the unsuitability of the function of several building structures, 2) delays in material supplies, 3) unpredictable weather. Of the several factors causing delays Regarding this project, one could say that delays occurred in design changes and delays in material supplies

Abstract

This community service project aimed to empower micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Wedoro village, Sidoarjo, by introducing digital marketing strategies to local artisans in the sandal industry. The project utilized the Service Learning (SL) approach, integrating academic learning with community engagement. A series of workshops and mentoring sessions were conducted to train artisans on the use of social media, e-commerce, and online advertising. The project’s outcomes revealed a significant increase in online customer engagement, a 25-40% rise in sales, and an expanded customer base for participants. However, challenges such as content creation and technical skills emerged, highlighting the need for ongoing support and advanced digital marketing training. The findings suggest that digital marketing plays a crucial role in ensuring the resilience and growth of MSMEs, particularly in times of crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. The project’s success underscores the importance of providing continuous learning opportunities and fostering collaboration between educational institutions, the government, and MSMEs to promote sustainable digital transformation in traditional industries. The implications of this study are significant for future MSME development initiatives, offering a model for integrating digital tools into local businesses to foster long-term economic growth and competitiveness.

Abstract

Parking is one part of the transportation system that is needed and also a common problem in big cities for office services, shopping centres, and residential buildings. Graha Pelni Building in Surabaya city is an office building owned by PT. Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia which is located on Jl. Pahlwan No. 112-114, Surabaya City. This building not only serves the purchase and operation of PT PELNI but also an office centre. In an effort to handle the problem of the parking system in the Graha Pelni Building, a good planning is needed. Among other things, adequate parking space and the right form of parking pattern determination. The data that has been obtained will be processed into several analyses, including: Analysis of Parking Characteristics, Parking Accumulation, Parking Volume, Parking Duration, Parking Turnover, Parking Capacity, Parking Index, Parking Space Requirements, Additional Parking Area Requirements[2]. The results of the analysis of the calculation of characteristics at Graha Pelni Surabaya Building based on survey data: The maximum parking volume for motorbikes is 71 vehicles / hour at 08.00 - 09.00 and cars are 58 vehicles / hour at 13.00 - 14.00. Parking index for motorbike is 137% and car is 126% 5 m2. According to BPS Surabaya City 2022 economic growth in Surabaya City is 6.51% in 2022.

Abstract

Underground utility detection is a crucial step in the pipeline construction project of the Semarang Barat Drinking Water Supply System (SPAM) to prevent potential conflicts with existing infrastructure. This study aims to identify and map underground utilities using Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Pipe & Cable Locator methods. The results revealed four primary types of underground utilities: gas pipes (PGN), clean water pipes (PDAM), power cables, and fiber optic cables, located at varying depths ranging from 0.3 to 5 meters. Some utilities, particularly power cables, could not be fully mapped, although depth estimates were successfully obtained. The measurements also indicated depth deviations, with ±30 cm for GPR and approximately ±5% for the Pipe & Cable Locator. These findings highlight the importance of validating utility detection results prior to construction to minimize the risk of damaging existing infrastructure..

Abstract

Aksi Bersih Sungai adalah sebuah inisiatif lingkungan yang bertujuan untuk membersihkan sungai dari sampah dan polutan lainnya. Kegiatan ini melibatkan partisipasi dari berbagai kelompok masyarakat, termasuk relawan, organisasi non-pemerintah, dan pemerintah lokal. Tujuan utama dari aksi ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan sungai sebagai sumber daya alam yang vital. Kegiatan ini menggunakan metode pengabdian ABCD (Asset Based Community Development). Metode ini sebuah konsep pembangunan yang berpusat pada aset daerah, merupakan metodologi pelaksanaan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini. Daerah memiliki sumber daya yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk mengatasi permasalahan regional. Kegiatan bersih sungai di Desa Sumokembangsri, Kecamatan Balongbendo, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Provinsi Jawa Timur, dimulai pada hari Minggu tanggal 28 Juli 2024 dengan tujuan menciptakan lingkungan yang bersih dan asri. Aksi ini juga berupaya untuk mengurangi dampak negatif terhadap ekosistem air dan meningkatkan kualitas air yang dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat sekitar. Aksi Bersih Sungai berfungsi sebagai sarana edukasi bagi masyarakat tentang praktik pengelolaan limbah yang bertanggung jawab dan pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Kolaborasi dan partisipasi aktif, diharapkan aksi ini dapat menghasilkan perubahan positif dalam perilaku masyarakat terkait pelestarian lingkungan.

Abstract

This research is a remarkable initiative that aims to empower villagers, especially kartars and local communities, to understand and harness the power of digital content for education, promotion, and social empowerment. The training consists of various factors in the world of digital content, including photography, writing, online marketing, and social media management. The method of implementing community service program activities begins with an approach to students of Sunan Giri University Surabaya, using methods known as Participatory Action Research (PAR), Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD), and a mixed approach. Activities were carried out in the Hall of Panjunan Village Hall, Sukodono District. The methods applied involved implementation methods in community service programs as well as training and counseling methods. The active involvement of the participants, creating strong cooperation between students and the community, thus creating a sustainable positive impact in the utilization of digital content to improve the quality of life and community empowerment.
