Abstract

The breaststroke is a swimming style that is loved by everyone because it is so easy to do. The purpose of this study was to improve breaststroke swimming skills in the 2018/2019 physical education study program students through the application of the modified game method. The method used in this research is a classroom action research methodology research design by Kemmis and Mc.Taggart. he subjects in this study were 31 students of the PJKR study program who took the aquatic learning course II, the results of this study were from the initial test data that 8 students were in the complete category or about 26%, there was an increase in the first cycle, 20 students were included in the category. complete or about 65%, and in cycle II, there was a very large increase with 29 students in the complete category or around 94%, this research was in accordance with the set target, namely 90%. he conclusion of this study is that the application of the modified game method is effective in improving breaststroke swimming skills in physical education study program students class of 2018/2019

Abstract

High levels of body fat and visceral fat are the causes of metabolic disorders which are influenced by several factors, including gender. Good social economic condition has brought many changes in the food choices and eating behaviors among married man and woman in rural societies. This shift around nutrition has given rise to Body Fat dan Visceral Fat level which is lead to degenerative illness. Considering this condition, the present study was planned to 1) determine the differences of Body Fat and Visceral fat among married Man and Woman and 2) Find the relationship between the Body Fat with Visceral Fat among Man and Woman. A total of 34 Karang Tengah Villagers 15 Men, 19 women, 18-30+ years from all over the village were voluntary joining the study. Verbal Inform concern was obtained, a self-administered questionnaire was given, and the Body composition were measured by bio-electric impedance analysis device. Data were analyzed using SPSS – 23. The results indicated that Body Fat average in Man were lower than Woman with 21,28% and 39,25%, respectively (p-value 0.000). But different result showed in Visceral Fat, Men were Higher than Women, 10,4 and 7,26, respectively (p-value 0.028). Significant positive correlations were found among Body Fat and Visceral Fat level in both Men (r 0,977, p-value 0,000) and Women (r 0,971, p-value 0,000). Findings of present study suggest that there is need for coordinated efforts to reduce the prevalence of high percentage Body Fat and Visceral Fat and to develop healthy eating behaviors among Villagers.

Abstract

Abstract This community service aims to provide services and information to the community in area Desa Karang Tengah, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor regarding the level of physical fitness community. This activity did because there are still many people who don’t understand the techniques of physical fitness measuring and their follow up because many do not get this knowladge while attending school or studying at non-sport campuses. So, it is considered necessery to carry out physical fitness measurements in the community of Desa Karang Tengah, Kabupaten Bogor. In supporting the productivity of daily life, people need excellent physical conditions, so that they can carry out everydays activities properly, starting from doing light physical activities, working regularly, to do additional activities such as exercise. This of course must be supported by good physical fitness, to be able to find out the level of physical fitness, one of which is by carrying out a physical fitness measurement test. This service activity was carried out on 29-30 September 2020 in Desa Karang Tengah, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor. This activity is in partnership with Desa Karang Tengah officials, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor as a form of community service by the Faculty of Sports Science, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. From the results of the community service activities, it was found that the physical fitness level of the people of Desa Karang Tengah was in the moderate category. This can be seen from the results measurement of physical fitness using the Rockport method (Run / Walk 1600 meters). Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelayanan dan informasi kepada masyarakat di wilayah Desa Karang Tengah, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor mengenai tingkat kebugaran jasmani masyarakat. Hal ini dilakukan karena masih banyak masyarakat yang tidak memahami mengenai teknik pengukuran kebugaran jasmani dan tindak lanjutnya karena banyak yang tidak mendapatkan ilmu ini saat sekolah atau kuliah di kampus non olahraga. Sehingga dianggap perlu melaksanakan pengukuran kebugaran jasmani pada masyarakat Desa Karang Tengah, Kabupaten Bogor. Dalam menunjang produktifitas kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat membutuhkan kondisi fisik yang prima agar dapat melaksanakan setiap aktifitas sehari-hari dengan baik, mulai dari menjalani aktifitas fisik ringan, bekerja rutin, hingga melakukan aktifitas tambahan seperti berolahraga. Hal ini tentunya harus didukung dengan kebugaran jasmani yang baik, untuk dapat mengetahui tingkat kebugaran jasmani salah satunya dengan melaksanakan tes pengukuran kebugaran jasmani. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 29-30 September 2020 di Desa Karang Tengah, Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode tes pengukuran kebugaran jasmani yang dilaksanakan beberapa kali tes untuk memenuhi kebutuhan yang ada terhadap masyarakat Desa Karang Tengah. Kegiatan ini bermitra dengan perangkat Desa Karang Tengah, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor sebagai wujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh institusi Fakultas Ilmu Olahraga Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian didapatkan tingkat kebugaran jasmani masyarakat Desa Karang Tengah termasuk dalam kategori cukup. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil tes pengukuran kebugaran jasmani dengan menggunakan metode Rockport (Lari/Jalan 1600 meter).

Abstract

Abstract This community service aims to provide knowledge to the people of desa Bojong Koneng, kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor, West Java about a Healthy Lifestyle With Physical Exercise During the Covid-19 Pandemic. The place of service is held in desa Bojong Koneng, kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor, West Java. The implementation time of the activity starts from September 07 to September 08 2021. This activity is partnered with desa Bojong Koneng officials, kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor as a form of community service by the Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. The methods used in carrying out this community service program are: information discussions, demonstrations, mentoring, training, and hands-on practice. The results of community service went well and smoothly. Programs that have been implemented include; Provide counseling materials, watch videos of physical exercise activities with various movements, and conduct knowledge surveys about Healthy Lifestyles With Physical Exercises During the Covid-19 Pandemic. Community participation and support is quite high, where the community is actively involved in implementing the program so that the community can take full advantage of it. Abstrak Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat Desa Bojong Koneng Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor Provinsi Jawa Barat tentang Pola Hidup Sehat Dengan Latihan Fisik Di Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Tempat pengabdian dilaksanakan di Desa Bojong Koneng Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor Provinsi Jawa Barat. Waktu pelaksanan kegiatan dimulai tanggal 07 September sampai dengan 08 September 2021. Kegiatan ini bermitra dengan perangkat Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor sebagai wujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh institusi Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam menjalankan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah: diskusi informasi, demonstrasi, pembimbingan, latihan, dan praktek langsung. Hasil Pengabdian masyarakat berjalan dengan baik dan lancar. Program yang telah dilaksanakan meliputi; Memberikan materi penyuluhan, menonton video kegiatan latihan fisik dengan berbagai gerakan, dan melakukan survey pengetahuan tentang Pola Hidup Sehat Dengan Latihan Fisik Di Masa Pandemi Covid-19. Partisipasi dan dukungan masyarakat cukup tinggi, dimana masyarakat turut aktif dalam pelaksanaan program sehingga masyarakat dapat mengambil manfaatnya dengan lebih maksimal.

Abstract

Abstract This community service activity aims to provide services and information to the community in the Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor regarding the technical measurement of physical fitness in the community. This is done because there are still many people who do not understand the technique of measuring physical fitness and its follow-up because many do not get this knowledge when attending school or studying at non-sports campuses. So it is considered necessary to carry out technical socialization of physical fitness measurements in the people. This service activity was carried out on September 7-8, 2021 in Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor. The method used is the technical lecture method of measuring physical fitness which is carried out to provide information to the people of Desa Bojong Koneng. This activity is in partnership with Desa Bojong Koneng officials, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor as a form of community service by the Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan, Universitas Negeri Jakarta. From the results of the service activities, it was found that the level of community knowledge about the technical measurement of physical fitness of the people of Desa Bojong Koneng was included in the good category. This can be seen from the results of a survey regarding the level of community knowledge about the technical fitness measurement carried out at the beginning and end of the activity. Sehingga dianggap perlu melaksanakan sosialisasi teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani pada masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 07-08 September 2021 di Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang Kabupaten Bogor. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani yang dilaksanakan untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat Desa Bojong koneng. Kegiatan ini bermitra dengan perangkat Desa Bojong Koneng, Kecamatan Babakan Madang, Kabupaten Bogor sebagai wujud pengabdian kepada masyarakat oleh institusi Fakultas Ilmu Keolahragaan Universitas Negeri Jakarta. Dari hasil kegiatan pengabdian didapatkan tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang teknis pengukuran kebugaran jasmani masyarakat Desa Bojong koneng termasuk dalam kategori baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari hasil survey mengenai tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat tentang teknis pengukuran kebugaran yang dilakukan pada awal dan akhir kegiatan.

Abstract

Abstract This community service activity to educate members youth organizations Japos about sport of archery. Youth organization Japos is one of the youth organizations in the South Tangerang area whose purpose it was established to provide guidance and empowerment to young people. This activity was carried out on September 18, 2021 at the Japos, South Tangerang. Youth organization Japos is a forum for the development of the younger generation that grows on the basis of awareness and a sense of social responsibility from, by and for the community. Sport is one of the means to improve the quality of human resources, so it is not uncommon for sports to be one of the activities in the youth program. Archery has not been widely used as a sporting activity in the community, especially in youth organizations in South Tangerang. The lack of information related to archery is an obstacle for this sport to be popular. For this reason, the introduction and understanding of the sport of archery among members of the Japos youth group is the first step before finally being able to encourage and mobilize the community to better understand and live directly the nature and benefits of archery. Team introduced the sport of archery and provided information to members of the youth organization that archery could be a popular sport for recreation, health and even achievement. The existence of this community service activity is an effort to pilot archery activities at the youth organizations, so that in the future each youth organization in South Tangerang will have archery activity. Abstrak Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mengedukasi anggota karang taruna Japos tentang cabang olahraga panahan. Karang taruna Japos merupakan salah satu karang taruna yang ada di wilayah Tangerang Selatan yang tujuan didirikannya untuk memberikan pembinaan dan pemberdayaan kepada para remaja. Kegiatan ini dilakukan pada tanggal 18 September 2021 di komplek Japos, Tangerang Selatan. Karang taruna Japos merupakan wadah pengembangan generasi muda yang tumbuh atas dasar kesadaran dan rasa tanggung jawab sosial dari, oleh dan untuk masyarakat. Olahraga merupakan salah satu sarana untuk meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia, maka tidak jarang olahraga menjadi salah satu kegiatan yang ada dalam program karang taruna. Olahraga panahan belum banyak dijadikan kegiatan olahraga di masyarakat khususnya pada organisai karang taruna yang ada di Tangerang Selatan. Kurangnya informasi terkait olahraga panahan menjadi kendala olahraga ini untuk digemari. Kegiatan pengenalan dan pemahaman cabang olahraga panahan pada anggota karang taruna Japos sebagai langkah awal sebelum akhirnya dapat mendorong dan menggerakan masyarakat agar lebih memahami dan menghayati langsung hakikat dan manfaat olahraga panahan. Tim pengabdi mengenalkan olahraga panahan dan memberikan informasi kepada anggota karang taruna bahwa olahraga panahan dapat dijadikan olahraga yang digemari baik dengan tujuan rekreasi, kesehatan bahkan prestasi. Adanya kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini sebagai upaya percontohan diadakannya kegiatan memanah di karang taruna, sehingga kedepannya karang taruna lainnya yang ada di Tangerang Selatan memiliki kegiatan memanah.

Abstract

Abstract Indramayu Regency is 4 of 27 Regencies in West Java that does not yet have a Branch Committee of the Indonesian Petanque Sports Federation (FOPI) as the Organizing Commitee of the Petanque sports in Indramayu. One of the reasons is the lack of human resources who understand the ins and outs of Petanque Sports Organizing and Refereeing in Indramayu. As a solution to this problem, Organizational Development and Refereeing activities for Petanque Sports were carried out in Indramayu Regency, West Java Province. The activity was carried out at STKIP NU Indramayu which was attended by 30 participants with various backgrounds such as students, lecturers, trainers and sports teachers. The Instructors camefrom the National and West Java Province Petanque Sport Committee. The activity was carried out for 2 days in the form of Theori and Practice. The result of this activity is the availability of organizational and refereeing human resources who are ready to form the FOPI Branch Committee of Indramayu Regency. Abstrak Kabupaten Indramayu merupakan 4 dari 27 Kabupaten/Kota di Jawa Barat yang belum memiliki Pengurus Cabang Federasi Olahraga Petanque Indonesia (FOPI) sebagai induk cabang olahraga Pembina olahraga Petanque di Indramayu. Salah satu penyebabnya adalah masih kurangnya SDM yang memahami seluk beluk Organisasi dan Perwasitan Olahraga Petanque di Indramayu. Sebagai solusi atas permsalahan tersebut maka dilakukan kegiatan Pengembangan Organisasi dan Perwasitan Cabang Olahraga Petanque di Kabupaten Indramayu Propinsi Jawa Barat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di STKIP NU Indramayu yang diikuti oleh 30 orang Peserta dengan beragam latar belakang seperti Mahasiswa, Dosen, Pelatih dan Guru Olahraga. Narasumber berasal dari Pengurus PB FOPI dan Pengurus FOPI Propinsi Jawa Barat. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama 2 hari berupa paparan dan praktek. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah tersedianya SDM Organisasi dan Perwasitan yang siap untuk membentuk Pengurus Cabang FOPI Kabupaten Indramayu.

Abstract

This study aims to prove the effects of a single bout of endurance exercise on decreased oxidative stress in young adults with overweight. This study used the true experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Twenty overweight women between the ages of 20 and 23 were recruited from college students and randomly divided into CON (n = 10, control group without exercise) and EEx (n = 10, endurance exercise group). The endurance exercise intervention is carried out once by running on a treadmill with an intensity of 60-70% HRmax for 40 minutes/exercise sessions. Malondialdehyde (MDA) levels as a biomarker of oxidative stress were measured 30 minutes pre-exercise and 24 hours post-exercise using the Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARs) method. The results showed that MDA levels significantly decreased in the endurance training group compared to the control group. Results of analysis of MDA levels between pre-exercise and post-exercise in CON (819.00±66.47 vs. 853.00±113.55 ng/mL; (P > 0.05), EEx (810.00±120.19 vs. 596.00±67.57 ng/mL; (P < 0.05). Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that a single session of endurance exercise at an intensity of 60-70% HRmax for 40 minutes reduces oxidative stress in overweight adolescent females.

Abstract

Objective. Obesity is a significant health concern that can affect individuals of all ages, including children and adults. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of 12 weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise in reducing complex obesity levels in older individuals. The research methodology used in this study is experimental, with a one-group pre-post test design. The study was conducted in June-July 2023 at the Jakarta State University Sports Hall, located in Rawamangun, East Jakarta. Following the participants' completion of 12 weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, a post-test was administered, which included measuring their BMI. Materials and Methods. The study involved 30 elderly participants who were obese. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with several criteria such as being male, aged between 55-65 years, having a body mass index (BMI) between 27-32 kg/m2, coming from a large family from the Faculty of Sports Science, Jakarta State University, and being willing to participate in research on the effects of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise for 12 weeks. The research aimed to determine the effects of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise for 12 weeks on reducing the level of complex obesity in elderly people. Result. The research findings indicate that the 12-week program of moderate-intensity aerobic exercise, designed by researchers, is an effective approach to significantly decrease complex obesity in the elderly population. The results of the study demonstrate the potential benefits of engaging in regular physical activity to improve the health and well-being of older adults. Conclusion. The study results indicate that engaging in aerobic exercise of moderate intensity, such as running on a treadmill, for 12 weeks can lead to a significant decrease in body fat and weight, thus promoting effective obesity reduction.

Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the relationship between physical activity intensity and sleep quality on performance of pre-elderly employees of PT Buakaka Teknik Utama Tbk. This research use a quantitative research method with correlative associative study. The participants in this research were pre-elderly employees worked at PT Buakaka Teknik Uta,a Tbk with total 50 respondents with the age range of respondents between 45 to 59 years old. This research use questionnaire or survey distributed to respondents to collect the data. In data analysis, this research using data analysis techniques in the form of multiple regression test with STATA MP 14.2. The results showed that the intensity of physical activity has a significant affect towards employee performance while the quality of sleep not have a significant affect to employee performance. So it is concluded that the longer intensity of physical activity carried out by employees will improve employee performance while employees quality of sleep has no influence significantly on employee performance.
