Abstract

The application of deep learning has rapidly advanced across various sectors due to its ability to enhance effectiveness and efficiency in solving complex tasks. One promising implementation is in object detection, particularly in recognizing and identifying banknotes. This innovation is highly beneficial for individuals with visual impairments who often struggle to distinguish between currency denominations. Currently, people with vision loss still rely on manual techniques such as sorting by size or folding bills in specific patterns—methods that are inefficient and prone to error. This study developed a real-time banknote detection system using moving image input through a combination of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and the YOLOv4-tiny algorithm. The research employed a quantitative approach with software engineering methods and a Research and Development (R&D) design. The research subjects consisted of annotated digital images of the 2016 Indonesian Rupiah banknotes, comprising seven denominations and two image classes (front and back). A total of 1,260 images were used for training over 7,000 iterations, yielding a mean Average Precision (mAP) of 97.65%. Validation was conducted on 140 test images using cross-validation, resulting in an mAP of 97.5%. Additional evaluation was performed on banknotes in imperfect physical conditions (e.g., crumpled or folded), achieving an mAP of 88%. These findings indicate that the model demonstrates strong robustness under real-world conditions. Overall, the integration of CNN and YOLO in this system provides a practical solution for individuals with low vision to independently recognize Indonesian Rupiah banknotes, thereby enhancing financial accessibility and inclusion.

Abstract

Increasingly evolving digital era, optimizing computer network performance has become a critical priority to support the demands of high-speed, reliable, and adaptive connectivity. This study explores the application of Machine Learning (ML) techniques as a strategic approach to enhancing network performance, with a focus on three key algorithms: Random Forest for detecting anomalies, Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) for predicting network traffic patterns, and Deep Reinforcement Learning (DRL) for optimizing routing decisions. These algorithms were selected based on their respective strengths in handling complex, high-dimensional network data and their ability to adapt to dynamic conditions. The experimental results demonstrate that the implementation of ML can significantly improve key network performance metrics. Specifically, network throughput increased by up to 21.7%, latency was reduced by 27.1%, and the packet loss rate decreased by 62.2%. These improvements suggest that ML-based approaches offer a promising direction for achieving more intelligent and efficient network management. However, the study also highlights several challenges that must be addressed for broader adoption. These include the dependency on high-quality, real-time data; the computational overhead required for model training and deployment; and potential vulnerabilities related to cybersecurity threats. In addition, the interpretability and transparency of complex ML models remain areas requiring further exploration. Overall, this research contributes to the growing field of ML-driven network optimization and provides a foundation for future advancements in autonomous, adaptive, and secure networking systems. It opens up new possibilities for the development of next-generation communication infrastructures that are smarter, more resilient, and performance-oriented.

Abstract

Abstract: Poverty is a serious problem in developing countries, including Indonesia, which has an impact on limited access to education. To address this issue, BAZNAS (National Amil Zakat Agency) is present as a zakat management institution that aims to alleviate poverty through programs such as scholarships. However, in practice, there are obstacles in the effectiveness and efficiency of the process of data collection and input of scholarship recipients' files. This study aims to develop a design of an information system for data collection of scholarship recipients at BAZNAS Kabupaten Asahan to assist in the data collection and input process of scholarship recipients' files. This system uses MySQL database and PHP programming through visual studio code software, and functions as a recommendation tool in the data collection of scholarship recipients. With this information system, it is expected to help BAZNAS in improving the accuracy and efficiency of the data collection and input process of scholarship recipients' files, so that the scholarship program can be more targeted and have a greater impact in efforts to alleviate poverty through education. Keywords: baznas; scholarship; poverty  Abstrak: Kemiskinan merupakan permasalahan serius di negara berkembang, termasuk Indonesia, yang berdampak pada keterbatasan akses pendidikan. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, lembaga BAZNAS (Badan Amil Zakat Nasional) hadir sebagai lembaga pengelola zakat yang bertujuan untuk mengentaskan kemiskinan melalui program-program seperti beasiswa. Namun, dalam praktiknya, terdapat kendala dalam efektivitas dan efisiensi dalam proses pendataan dan penginputan berkas calon penerima beasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun sebuah perancangan sistem informasi pendataan calon penerima beasiswa pada BAZNAS Kabupaten Asahan guna membantu proses pendataan dan penginputan berkas dari para calon penerima beasiswa. Sistem ini menggunakan database MySQL dan pemrograman php melalui software visual studio code, serta berfungsi sebagai alat rekomendasi dalam pendataan calon penerima beasiswa. Dengan adanya sistem informasi ini, diharapkan dapat membantu pihak BAZNAS dalam meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi dalam proses pendataan serta penginputan berkas calon penerima beasiswa, sehingga program beasiswa dapat lebih tepat sasaran dan memberikan dampak yang lebih besar dalam upaya mengentaskan kemiskinan melalui pendidikan.Kata Kunci: baznas; beasiswa; kemiskinan.

Abstract

Abstrak: Untuk mempercepat dan meningkatkan penjualan cepat maka dengan melihat perkembangan teknologi informasi yang sangat pesat tersebut kita dapat memanfaatkan suatu layanan secara online yang berupa e-commerce. PKK Desa Mekar Sari Kabupaten Asahan, memiliki banyak aktifitas yang aktif dilakukan pada beberapa daerah di lingkungan Desa Mekar Sari, diataranya menjalankan proses bisnis secara konvensional. Dengan pengetahuan teknologi seperti peranan E-commerce dalam pengenbangan bisnis diharapkan dapat diaplikasikan dan digunakan dalam mempermudah sebagai media promosi dan transakdi bisnis dalam pengembangan penjualan dan pembelian produk. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat adalah meningkatkan kemampuan tim PKK Desa Mekar Sari dalam memahami dan mengimplementasikan proses bisnis secara e-commerce dengan pengelolaan toko online. Metode pelatihan yang dilaksanakan dengan cara diskusi dan praktek untuk menyampaikan pengetahuan pengenalan komputer dan latihan penggunaan aplikasi e-commerce kepada 1 mitra, tim PKK Desa Mekar Sari Kabupaten Asahan. Kegiatan ini menggunakan pengetahuan secara teori dan praktek di ruangan. Hasil penilaian akhir kegiatan, para peserta dapat memahami materi yang disampaikan berdasarkan dari hasil perolehan angka penilaian dari hasil uji posttest. Peserta pelatihan berhasil menyelesaikan pencapaian pelatihan ini dengan baik dari hasil nilai pre-test rata-rata 90,4%.. Penyampaian materi terdiri dari beberapa sesi, yaitu: penjelasan, praktek , dan diskusi.Abstract: To speed up and increase sales quickly, by looking at the very rapid development of information technology, we can take advantage of an online service in the form of e-commerce. PKK Desa Mekar Sari Village, Asahan Regency, has many active activities carried out in several areas within Desa Mekar Sari Village, including carrying out conventional business processes. With technological knowledge such as the role of E-commerce in business development, it is hoped that it can be applied and used to facilitate promotional media and business transactions in developing product sales and purchases. The aim of community service activities is to improve the ability of the Desa Mekar Sari, Village PKK team in understanding and implementing e-commerce business processes by managing online stores. The training method is carried out by means of discussion and practice to convey computer knowledge and practice using e-commerce applications to 1 partner, the PKK team in Desa Mekar Sari, Asahan Regency. This activity uses theoretical and practical knowledge in the room. As a result of the final assessment of the activity, the participants were able to understand the material presented based on the results of the assessment scores obtained from the posttest test results. The activity material provided to participants can be used and utilized in business development through E-Commerce. The training participants successfully completed this training achievement with an average pretest score of 90.4%. The delivery of the material consists of several sessions, namely: explanation, practice, and discussion.
