Abstract

Proses pembelajaran jarak jauh di tengah pandemi Covid-19 memerlukan sistem pembelajaran yang efektif. Berbagai media sosial berbasis online dapat digunakan untuk pembelajaran jarak jauh, di antaranya  adalah Google Meet dan Whatsapp Group. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektifitas penggunaan media Google Meet dan Whatsapp Group ditinjau dari hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas X IPA-1 SMA Hangtuah 4 Surabaya pada materi persamaan dan grafik fungsi kuadrat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian quasi experimental research one group post-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Google Meet lebih efektif. Nilai post-test siswa lebih tinggi dibandingkan menggunakan aplikasi Whatsapp Group.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan jenis konflik commognitive mahasiswa– konflik kognitif yang yang dianalisis dari komponen commognitive. Metode penelitian terdiri atas empat tahap yaitu persiapan, pengumpulan data, mentranskrip data, analisis data. Sebanyak 10 mahasiswa diberi lembar soal matematika, dikelompokkan menjadi dua kelompok, yaitu memiliki indikasi adanya konflik commognitive dan tidak. Dua mahasiswa yang dicurigai memiliki konflik commognitive dipilih sebagai subyek penelitian dan diwawancara mendalam untuk menggali informasi lebih lanjut tentang jenis konflik commognitive. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik commognitive terjadi pada saat subyek menentukan nilai ekstrim fungsi berdasarkan grafik yang dibuat (visual mediators), alasan–alasan yang dikemukakan subyek dalam menentukan nilai ekstrim fungsi kuadrat (narratives), serta pengulangan langkah yang dilakukan (routines). Penggunaan istilah nilai ekstrim, nilai balik, titik potong pada sumbu koordinat (words use) tidak terdapat konflik commognitive.

Abstract

Relaksasi pada otot wajah dapat melancarkan metabolisme tubuh dan mekanisme otot serta dapat menghilangkan kelelahan. Adanya kelelahan pada wajah memunculkan pengaruh pada anatomi musculus face (otot wajah). Terapi untuk mengurangi kelelahan yang tampak pada musculus face dapat berupa terapi inframerah dan akupuntur. Penelitian ini membandingkan diantara kedua jenis terapi tersebut. Metode yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif analitik. Populasi terdiri dari pasien yang mengalami kelelahan. Sampel diperoleh dari 30 pasien, yaitu 15 orang terapi inframerah dan 15 akupuntur. Hasil data pasien menunjukkan terapi akupuntur seminggu 2 kali selama 30 menit, minimal 3 kali dan selama waktu 2 minggu menunjukkan hasil pada musculus face mengalami relaksasi dan terasa lebih elastis, gerakan motorik otot wajah terasa lebih lentur dan lebih sehat dibandingkan dengan terapi inframerah dengan penyinaran berjarak 50 cm, dalam seminggu 2-3 kali. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa pemberian paparan inframerah dengan akupuntur, pada musculus face lebih cepat mengalami relaksasi, otot lebih kenyal dan lentur dibandingkan yang mendapatkan terapi inframerah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan konflik commognitive mahasiswa mengenai istilah “singular” pada matriks 3x3. Metode penelitian terdiri atas tahapan persiapan, pengumpulan data, transkrip data, analisis data. Sebanyak 10 mahasiswa diberi lembar soal matematika, berisi dua nomor mengenai matriks singular. Dua mahasiswa terpilih sebagai subjek penelitian karena terindikasi mengalami konflik commognitive, meliputi komponen words use, visual mediators, narratives, routines. Subjek penelitian diwawancarai secara semi tersruktur dan mendalam untuk menggali informasi lebih lanjut adanya konflik commognitive. Hasil wawancara dianalisis menggunakan kerangka kerja commognitive komponen narratives. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konflik commognitive terjadi pada saat subyek menentukan apakah suatu matriks singular atau tidak menggunakan nilai determinan. Peneliti menawarkan konsep baru tentang “singular” pada matriks dan subjek penelitian menerima konsep baru tersebut. Perbedaan konsep antara subjek dan peneliti ini yang menimbulkan adanya konflik commognitive yang pada akhirnya subjek menerima konsep baru yang ditawarkan oleh peneliti tentang “singular” pada matriks.

Abstract

Matematika merupakan ilmu yang mendasari perkembangan teknologi modern dan berperan penting dalam berbagai disiplin ilmu dalam memajukan daya pikir manusia. Keterkaitan Matematika meliputi materi, proses belajar mengajar, lingkungan serta fasilitas sekolah, sebagaimana tujuan khusus pengajaran Matematika di sekolah menengah kejuruan yaitu menumbuh kembangkan keterampilan berhitung yang berguna dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan saat pembelajaran dan wawancara dengan guru kelas, masalah yang dihadapi peserta didik adalah pembelajaran yang monoton dan berpusat pada guru (teacher centered) menjadikan peserta didik kurang termotivasi dan kurang semangat dalam mengikuti pembelajaran dan hasil belajar kurang optimal. Untuk itu perlu dilakukan perubahan dalam pembelajaran yaitu dengan model pembelajaran yang menciptakan pembelajaran menjadi students centered. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Problems Based Learning-Teams Games Tournament (PBL-TGT) menjadi salah satu model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan untuk mengubah paradigma di atas. Hasil penerapan model PBL-TGT menunjukkan perubahan yang signifikan pada hasil belajar peserta didik yaitu 95% siswa melebihi Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal(KKM). PBL-TGT dapat diterapkan untuk materi lain agar prestasi belajar siswa meningkat.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the mathematical communication profile of first year students studying differential material. The research method begins with preparation, data collection, transcription and analysis. A total of 10 students were given math problem sheets, containing contextual story problems consisting of one number regarding differentials. A student was selected as a research subject based on Polya indicators and was interviewed in a semi-structured and in-depth manner to dig up further information and then analyzed using a cognitive lens. The research results show that the research subjects can solve mathematical problems well. The subject can communicate ordinary sentences well into mathematical sentences. The components of words use, visual mediators, narratives, and routines show that students' written mathematical communication skills are very good in solving differential problems.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' cognitive abilities in mathematical modeling material. The methods used in this research are preparation, data collection, transcription and analysis. A total of nine students who were grouped into three groups were given mathematics problem sheets, containing contextual story problems consisting of one number regarding mathematical modeling. A student representing his group was selected as a research subject based on Polya indicators and was interviewed in a semi-structured and in-depth manner to dig up further information and then analyzed cognitively. The research results show that the research subjects can solve mathematical problems well. The subject can communicate ordinary sentences well into mathematical models. The components of words use, visual mediators, narratives, and routines show that students' cognitive ability in solving mathematical contextual problems is very good in mathematical modeling material.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the result of students' work in finding the solution to math-problems about absolute functions. Commognitive's analysis was used to analyze student works in this qualitative research. This research's methods were, namely, preparing, collecting data, transcription data, and analyzing data. A total of 25 students from two universities were given math questions, and two were selected as research subjects. The selection of subjects is based on different and exciting work results. The research subjects attended in-depth interviews to learn more about the commognitive's components. The results showed that commognitive conflict occurred in the word use component when the subject experienced errors in interpreting the data on the questions. Subjects cannot correctly describe the graphic requested in the questions (visual mediators). Describing what is known in the problem is also incompatible (narratives). Subjects experienced the incorrect routines. Based on the results of in-depth interviews, it can be said that the commognitive conflicts occurred because of a lack of understanding of the concepts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the ability of teacher professional program students to identify instructional problems and formulate effective solutions through classroom action research, and develop a reflective learning model based on classroom action research findings to support teachers’ professional development. This qualitative research design adopted a transcendental phenomenological approach and involved 17 prospective Vocational High School (VHS) teachers participating in the Teaching Practicum Program in Purwosari, Pasuruan, and Gondang, Nganjuk. They were selected purposively based on data accessibility. Data were collected through classroom observations and semi-structured interviews and analyzed to identify patterns in problem identification, instructional decision-making, and the effectiveness of learning models implemented. The results showed that teachers improved their teaching practices by implementing student-centered strategies, such as project-based and problem-based learning, as well as other context-responsive approaches. The development of adaptive learning models that address both teacher and student needs led to improvements in average student achievement and higher completion rates of learning materials. The findings suggest that instructional quality in VHS, particularly in agribusiness, can be strengthened through the systematic application of reflective learning models grounded in classroom action research. Teachers should emphasize the development of classroom action research competencies to enable prospective teachers to diagnose instructional challenges and implement evidence-based solutions effectively.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate how well the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) approach enhances students' critical thinking abilities when studying the law of sines. The study employed a quantitative methodology using a non-equivalent control group design, which is a quasi-experimental design. Two classes of high school students served as the research subjects: the experimental class, which got PBL-based instruction, and the control class, which employed traditional instruction. A descriptive test was used as the research tool to gauge critical thinking abilities using indications of interpretation, analysis, assessment, and inference. Effect size, N-Gain computation, and an independent sample t-test were used to examine the data. The findings demonstrated that students' critical thinking abilities in the experimental class and the control class differed significantly (p < 0.05). With a big effect size value, the improvement in students' critical thinking abilities in the experimental class fell into the moderate to high range. These results show that PBL is successful in helping students strengthen their critical thinking abilities, particularly when it comes to comprehending the abstract and contextual idea of the sine rule. The study's conclusions highlight how crucial it is to use problem-based learning models while teaching mathematics in order to promote student participation and the growth of higher-order thinking abilities. This study contributes both theoretically and practically to the creation of cutting-edge mathematics education that is pertinent to the needs of the twenty-first century
