Abstract

Kuta Beach Festival is a rural event or civic event held since 2015, planned and improved by the local youth community in Kuta Village with a different theme each year. Kuta Beach Festival in 2019 is the 5th festival held by the community with “Artchelon of Atlantis”. The technic of data collection used in this thesis is interviews, questionnaires, and literature review. Samples are taken using random sampling technique (probability sample), with the number of samples of 99 respondents taken from a population of 10.147 people.The purpose of this study is to understand the visitors’ insights towards the Kuta Beach Festival as the implementation of civic event in Kuta Village in which later can be taken as considerations and be implemented as improvements in the next Kuta Beach Festival. This study applied the six dimensions of event planning: anticipation, arrival, atmosphere, appetite, activity, and amenities.The result of this study showed that visitors’ insight towards Kuta Beach Festival as an implementation of civic event in Kuta village is “Good” or “Satisfying” with an average of 3,66. However, there are 3 aspects that get sufficient assessment. They are Arrival, Appetite and Amenities.

Abstract

The study entitled " SWOT Analysis in Enhancing the Creative Concept of the Annual Fin Expo Event" aims to understand the SWOT of the creative concepts of Fin Expo 2023, based on the four dimensions of creativity, namely Persons, Processes, Products, and Press. The data was collected through with OJK as client and CV. Kopi Panas as the event organizer. The technique used is descriptive analysis to measure the level of satisfaction of visitors with the creative dimensions and SWOT analysis. Based on SWOT analysis, several strategies were found to be applicable, namely: (1) the SO strategy utilizes creative team expertise in collaborating various activities such as talkshows, contests, and unique cultural parades to attract more visitors, (2) the ST strategy relies on the strength of the variable event concept to address threats from other more experienced event organizers, (3) the WO strategy includes improved internal communication between the creative team and the field design team to optimize the setting of the event and develop educational content, and (4) the WT strategy improves the event content and the use of technology to improve visitors' accessibility.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of marketing strategy, accessibility, and tourism support infrastructure on foreign tourist satisfaction in Bali, Indonesia. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data was collected from 200 foreign tourists through structured questionnaires, employing a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. The data was analyzed using SPSS 26 software. The findings reveal that all hypotheses are positive and significant, indicating that effective marketing strategies, improved accessibility, and robust tourism support infrastructure substantially enhance foreign tourist satisfaction. These results underscore the importance of strategic marketing, accessible facilities, and comprehensive infrastructure in promoting tourist satisfaction and sustaining Bali's tourism industry. This study provides valuable insights for policymakers and stakeholders aiming to boost Bali's attractiveness as a global tourist destination.

Abstract

Services in the hotel industry are generally formal. The asymmetric relationship between the service buyer and the service provider has implications for the hotel's procedures in providing services to guests, such as maintaining of courtecy and polite speech. Based on the results of data analysis of conversations between Japanese guests and hotel staff in Bali, several verbal politeness markers  in hospitality services have been found, they are; modality (1) “ please”, (2) “would you please”, (3) "if you please", (4) “what”, (5) “is there”,(6) “do you please?”, (7) prefix o or go + guest object, like oheya (your room), (8) the greeting word "Okyaku sama" which means "Mr/Madam/Miss", (9) expressions in hotel services, such as (a) greeting, (b) offering help, (c) inviting, (d) apologizing, (e) thanking, (f) requesting, (g) giving advice, (h ) give attention. (i) excuse me, (j) wish good things to guests. All of them are performented in keigo (honorific language) so that based on the concept of politeness, these expressions are relatively safe, do not threaten the faces of guests or hotel staff.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the errors of students in understanding the use of Japanese according to the native cultural context of the speakers. The fault findings were analyzed from the point of view of Japanese culture and Indonesian culture. Common student errors include (1) the inappropriate application of ojigi (bowing), (2) the application of doozo speech (please), shitsurei shimasu (excuse me), sumimasen (sorry, excuse me, thank you) (2) MD sentence structure where very different from the Indonesian sentence structure, and several other errors. By looking at these misunderstandings, the understanding of Japanese cultural literacy must be taught to students. Learners must have intercultural competence so that they can communicate according to the culture of the origin of the foreign language. Several ways have been done by lecturers to improve students' cultural literacy towards understanding the use of Japanese. These methods are (1) role-playing with situations in the workplace, (2) watching videos or pictures that show the real life of Japanese people, (3) with students watching Japanese dramas, then discussing the contents of the drama.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work culture (X) on employee performance (Y) at CV. Phenominca Radharani. Data were collected through questionnaires and interviews. Data were analyzed by simple linear regression with a population of 30 people. The results of data analysis show that the variable (X) is positively and partially significant to the variable (Y). This is evidenced by the value of t arithmetic 9.471 > t table 1.701 and a significance of 0.000 <0.05. Variable (X) contributed 76.2% to variable (Y). While the remaining 23.8% is influenced by other factors. The variable (X) on the “individual orientation” indicator is the indicator that gets the lowest value (3.37). This shows that employees have not been able to meet the targets set by the company. While the "stability" indicator got the highest score (3.93). This shows the work culture of CV. Phenominca Radharani is going well (stable). The variable (Y) on the "punctuality" indicator gets the lowest value (3.33). This shows that employees have not been able to complete tasks on time. The “independence” indicator got the highest score (3.73). Show employees can complete work independently.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The purpose of this study was to determine the marketing mix strategy at PT. Bali Multi Sarana in an effort to increase the sales volume of corporate events. Data was collected through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used is SWOT analysis and the 7P marketing mix (price, product, place, promotion, process, people and physical evidence). Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that there are four marketing mix strategies to increase sales volume of corporate events at PT. Bali Multi Sarana, SO strategy (Strength Opportunity) to maximize corporate events and marketing services through social media, build networking with the venue. ST strategy (Strength Threats) highlights the advantages of corporate events and equipment products, makes attractive promos and displays client testimonials that have used the company's services on social media. WO strategy (Weakness Opportunity) is to recruit marketing staff, make sales calls, utilize networking with old clients. WT strategy (Weakness Threats) maximizes promotions regarding the advantages of corporate events products and conducts research on competitors in conducting marketing.

Abstract

This study examines the impact of sustainable tourism management, tourist education, and environmental awareness on the visiting intentions of tourists in Ubud, Bali. Utilizing a quantitative approach, data were collected from 160 respondents using a Likert scale ranging from 1 to 5. Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS 3) was employed for data analysis to explore the relationships among the variables. The findings indicate that effective sustainable tourism management and heightened environmental awareness significantly enhance tourists' intentions to visit. Additionally, tourist education plays a crucial role in fostering environmental consciousness, further influencing visiting intentions. The results underscore the importance of integrated tourism strategies that prioritize sustainability and education to promote environmentally responsible travel behavior. This research provides valuable insights for policymakers and tourism operators in developing sustainable tourism practices that align with visitors' environmental values.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) on consumer decisions (Y). The population in this study were consumers of Triple E Event Bali, with 95 respondents as a sample. The data collected were subjected to Multiple Linear Regression, Coefficient of Determination, calculation of Effective Contribution, t-test and F-test. T-test on the effect of service quality (X1) found the value of t count > t table (5,695 > 1,986). This shows that service quality (X1) has a significant positive effect on consumer decisions (Y), brand image has a significant positive effect on consumer decisions (Y) Based on t-test on brand image (X2), it appeared that t count > t table (4,956 > 1,986). That means the brand image (X2) has a significant positive effect on consumer decisions (Y). F test obtained F count > F table (84,169 > 3,10) which means service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) simultaneously have a significant positive effect on consumer decisions. Based on Coefficient of Determination tetst (R2), it is known that the variables of service quality (X1) and brand image (X2) simultaneously influence consumer decisions (Y) by 64.7%. The results of the effective contribution calculation showed that the service quality (X1) has a contribution of 35% to consumer decisions (Y) and the brand image variable (X2) has a contribution of 29.7% to consumer decisions (Y).
