Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses berpikir siswa dalam memecahkan masalah trigonometri ditinjau dari gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI SMA yang terdiri dari empat orang yakni masing-masing dua orang untuk setiap kelompok hasil tes pemecahan masalah trigonometri yang bergaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dan wawancara. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah tes pemecahan masalah trigonometri, tes gaya kognitif MFFT, dan pedoman wawancara. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Proses berpikir siswa dengan hasil tes pemecahan masalah trigonometri tinggi dengan gaya kognitif reflektif (SRT) cenderung mengalami proses secara asimilasi hingga berada pada equilibrium untuk setiap tahap pemecahan masalah; (2) Proses berpikir siswa dengan hasil tes pemecahan masalah trigonometri tinggi dengan gaya kognitif impulsif (SIT) juga cenderung mengalami proses secara asimilasi hingga berada pada equilibrium, namun mengalami proses secara akomodasi pada tahap merencanakan strategi pemecahan masalah; (3) Proses berpikir siswa dengan gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif dengan hasil tes pemecahan masalah trigonometri rendah (SRR dan SIR) cenderung berada pada disequilibrium yaitu tidak dapat mengintegrasikan antara skema yang ada dalam pikirannya dengan pengetahuan yang ada.Kata Kunci: Proses Berpikir, Gaya Kognitif Reflektif dan Impulsif, Pemecahan Masalah, Trigonometri.This research aims to describe students' thinking processes in solving trigonometry problems in terms of reflective and impulsive cognitive styles. It is a descriptive study with a quantitative and qualitative approach. The subjects in this research were four students from the 11th grade of a high school, two students in each group representing the reflective and impulsive cognitive styles based on their results in the trigonometry problem-solving test. Data were collected through tests and interviews. The instruments used for data collection included trigonometry problem-solving tests, MFFT cognitive style tests, and interview guidelines. The results of this research indicate that: (1) Students with a reflective cognitive style and high scores in the trigonometry problem-solving test (SRT)tend to undergo an assimilation process, reaching equilibrium at each stage of problem-solving. (2) Students with an impulsive cognitive style and high scores in the trigonometry problem-solving test (SIT) also experience an assimilation process, reaching equilibrium, but undergo accommodation during the stage of planning problem-solving strategies. (3) Students with both reflective and impulsive cognitive styles and low scores in the trigonometry problem-solving test (SRR and SIR) tend to be in a state of disequilibrium, unable to integrate the existing schemes in their minds with their knowledge.Keywords:Thinking Process, Reflective and Impulsive Cognitive Style, Problem Solving, Trigonometry.

Abstract

The type of the study is research and development (R&D) which aims to develop Biomagazine learning media integrated with Augmented Reality (AR) which is valid, practical, and effective in genetics concept. The stage of the research and development referred to Alessi & Trollip development model which consisted of 3 stages, namely (1) planning, (2) design, and (3) development. The instruments of the research consisted of three, namely (1) validity instrument in a form of validity assessment instrument of Biomagazine learning media integrated with AR and questionnaire validity assessment, (2) practicality instrument in a form of teachers and student’s responses questionnaire on Biomagazine learning media integrated with AR, and (3) effectiveness instrument in a form of learning result evaluation test. Based on the data analysis, it is obtained the average of media validity by two expert assessors by 4,31 for Biomagazine and 4,35 for the AR application. Both are in valid category. The practicality of the media obtained from the teachers’ responses is 93,33% (very strong) and the students’ responses is 86,66 (very strong). The effectiveness of the media is 90,00% of the students reach learning completeness score. The improvement of Biology learning results based on normalized gain is 0,71 (high category). Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that Biomagazine learning media integrated with AR developed is valid, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji dan memetakan model pengembangan, aspek terkait metode penelitian, serta kecenderungan (trend) penelitian pada disertasi pendidikan matematika di Universitas Negeri Makassar (UNM). Ulasan dalam artikel dapat dijadikan salah satu acuan bagi calon mahasiswa maupun mahasiswa baru program doktor pendidikan matematika dalam memutuskan topik disertasi yang akan diambilnya dalam menyusun gagasan awal hingga proposal penelitian disertasi. Langkah-langkah yang diambil dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengidentifikasi dan memilih disertasi pendidikan matematika yang menggunakan model pengembangan dan membaca dengan cermat bagian metode penelitian serta melakukan analisis terhadap model pengembangan yang digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari sembilan disertasi tahun 2022 dan 2023 yang dianalisis semuanya menggunakan jenis penelitian pengembangan (R&D) dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model Plomp, 4-D, ADDIE, Borg & Gall, dan Dick & Carey. Selanjutnya, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa trend penelitian disertasi pada program doktor pendidikan matematika UNM adalah pengembangan model pembelajaran pada tingkat sekolah dan perguruan tinggi dengan cakupan lokasi penelitian masih berada di Sulawesi Selatan

Abstract

Differentiated learning is an instructional approach that prioritizes adapting to the unique needs and characteristics of each student. This study aims to elucidate educators' comprehension and implementation of differentiated learning within an autonomous curriculum framework, focusing on middle school math teachers in Bone Regency. Conducted as a mixed-methods descriptive study, data were collected through a structured academic survey targeting a representative sample of teachers from various middle schools in the region. Quantitative data were statistically analyzed to assess the prevalence of differentiated learning practices, while qualitative data were analyzed thematically to explore common themes and insights regarding teachers' perceptions and challenges. The findings indicate that teachers generally have a limited understanding of differentiated learning. Only 31% of the participants reported designing and implementing differentiated learning strategies, highlighting a significant gap in the application of this instructional approach within the curriculum. The study reveals a critical need for enhanced professional development and support for middle school math teachers in Bone Regency regarding differentiated learning. The limited understanding and implementation of differentiated learning strategies underscore the necessity for targeted training programs and resources to better equip teachers in addressing the diverse needs of their students. By fostering a deeper comprehension and more widespread application of differentiated learning, educational outcomes can be significantly improved within the autonomous curriculum framework.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the students' perception of their mathematics classroom learning environments in class VIII of SMP IT Ar-Rahmah after implementing the STEAM Project. The type of research is a mixed method. Data were collected using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of data analysis, the following conclusions were drawn: (1) the student mathematics learning outcomes are in the high category; (2) The perceptions of the learning environment indicate that the post-test scores were slightly higher than the pre-test scores for all scales: Student Cohesiveness, Teacher Support, Involvement, Investigation, Task Orientation, Cooperation, Equity;  (3) The teacher prepared the project design in teaching the 3D shape, students also have to work in groups, communicate,  presenting their work, and all the students had the opportunity to engage with mathematical content.

Abstract

Program magang merupakan peluang bagi mahasiswa untuk mendapatkan pengalaman nyata di lingkungan kerja, sehingga mereka dapat mengembangkan pemahaman dan keterampilan langsung yang relevan dengan dunia kerja. Program Studi Pendidikan Matematika (PSPM) berhasil memperoleh hibah PKKM (Program Kompetisi Kampus Merdeka) dari Kementerian, yang salah satu kegiatannya adalah mengirim mahasiswa untuk magang di perusahaan nasional sebagai upaya penguatan kompetensi dan daya saing mahasiswa, antara lain magang di Bank BNI. PSPM dan mitra menyelenggarakan beberapa tahapan: persiapan (pendaftaran mahasiswa, tes kesehatan, persetujuan orang tua dan Dosen Penasehat Akademik), pembekalan dengan melibatkan mitra DUDI, dan penempatan mahasiswa ke kantor cabang mitra, monitoring pelaksanaan, hingga pelaporan dan penilaian. Dosen Pembimbing Lapangan (DPL) melakukan pendampingan penyusunan rencana program dan aktivitas yang akan dijalankan oleh mahasiswa. Dalam kegiatan magang di BNI ini, mahasiswa berperan aktif dalam mendukung pelayanan di PT. Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. Program magang memberikan manfaat signifikan bagi mahasiswa, khususnya dalam memperoleh pengalaman praktis dan meningkatkan kompetensi profesional di lingkungan kerja. Program ini menjadi langkah strategis dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa sebagai calon profesional yang kompeten.
