Abstract

Innovation in the healthcare sector requires hospitals to integrate ethical leadership and modern technology to improve service quality. This study aims to analyze the influence of ethical leadership and technological innovation on the innovative performance of hospital employees in Banjarnegara, and examine the role of attitudes toward good performance as a mediating variable. Innovative performance in this study is understood as the ability of employees to generate, communicate, and implement new ideas that are useful for improving work effectiveness and the quality of hospital services. Using quantitative methods with 342 respondents and PLS-SEM analysis, the study found that ethical leadership significantly influences innovative performance and attitudes toward performing well. Technological innovation does not directly influence innovative performance, but has a significant influence on attitudes toward performing well. In addition, attitudes toward performing well are proven to be the most powerful factor in driving innovative performance. This variable also mediates the relationship between ethical leadership and innovative performance, as well as the relationship between technological innovation and innovative performance. These findings indicate that innovation in healthcare does not solely depend on technology or policies, but on positive employee attitudes formed through ethical leadership and effective technological support. This study provides a practical contribution to hospital management in building an innovative work culture and improving the quality of healthcare services.

Abstract

Height measurement is an important parameter for monitoring growth and assessing nutritional status. However, in village health services, height measurement is still commonly conducted manually, which may lead to measurement errors and inefficiency. This activity aims to apply an Arduino Uno–based height measurement system as an alternative to manual measurement methods in Kalilangkap Village, Bumiayu District, Brebes Regency. The method used was descriptive with an observational approach supported by a literature review to examine the characteristics, advantages, and limitations of the Arduino Uno–based system. The system consists of an Arduino Uno microcontroller, an HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, and an LCD to display measurement results. The results show that the system is able to display height measurement results automatically and is more practical than manual methods. The discussion indicates that Arduino Uno offers advantages in terms of ease of use, sensor integration, and operational stability. However, measurement accuracy is still influenced by sensor calibration, body position during measurement, and environmental conditions. Overall, the Arduino Uno–based height measurement system has the potential to support more efficient and consistent height measurement in village health services when used with proper procedures

Abstract

Worker mental health is an important issue in modern human resource management because it is influenced by work pressure, dual role demands, and the quality of social relationships in the work environment. Based on the Stress-Buffering Model, this study examines how Occupational Stress, Social Support, and Work Family Conflict interact in shaping the mental health conditions of employees at Islamic-based educational institutions. This study aims to analyze the direct influence of Occupational Stress on Mental Health Problems and examine the mediating role of Social Support and Work Family Conflict. A quantitative approach was used through SEM-PLS 3 involving 225 employees of an Islamic Educational Institution in Cilacap Regency who were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results of the study show that Occupational Stress has a significant positive effect on mental health problems. Occupational Stress has also been shown to decrease Social Support and increase Work Family Conflict. In addition, social support has a significant negative effect on mental health problems, while Work Family Conflict has a significant positive effect. Mediation analysis shows that both act as mediating mechanisms in the relationship between Occupational Stress and Mental Health. These findings strengthen the relevance of the Stress-Buffering Model and emphasize the importance of organizational strategies that focus on strengthening Social Support and creating Work Family role balance to improve Employee Psychological Well-being.

Abstract

This study aims to measure the influence of artificial intelligence (AI)-based sensory marketing on PAD emotions (Pleasure, Arousal, Dominance) and consumer behavioral intention in the context of cafes. The study used an experimental method by dividing respondents into two groups: one group received AI-based sensory marketing interventions, while the other group experienced conventional sensory marketing without AI. Data was collected using a questionnaire that measured PAD emotions and behavioral intentions after interaction with the café environment. Statistical analyses were conducted using the Independent Sample t-test, ANOVA, Cohen's d, and Moderation Analysis to evaluate significant differences between the two groups and to understand the moderation effect of brand experience on outcomes. The results showed that AI intervention did not have a significant effect on consumer emotions or behavioral intention, with a p-value of >0.05 for all variables measured. The effect measure (Cohen's d) also indicated that the differences between the groups were very small and practically insignificant. Additionally, brand experience was not found to be a moderator that reinforces the relationship between AI interventions and emotional or behavioral variables

Abstract

This study examines the influence of capital structure, investment decisions, and firm size on firm value, with profitability as a moderating variable. The novelty of this research lies in demonstrating that profitability weakens the relationship between capital structure and firm value, a finding that contrasts with most prior studies, and in employing a Fixed Effect Model (FEM) with Driscoll–Kraay standard errors to address heteroskedasticity. The sample consists of 38 firms selected from 163 consumer cyclical companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2021–2024, resulting in 152 firm year observations. The FEM Driscoll–Kraay results show that capital structure has a positive and significant effect on firm value, indicating that higher leverage can increase market confidence and enhance firm valuation. However, the moderation test reveals that profitability significantly weakens the effect of capital structure on firm value, meaning that when profitability increases, the contribution of leverage to firm value becomes less influential. Meanwhile, investment decisions and firm size do not significantly affect firm value, nor are their relationships moderated by profitability. These findings imply that managers must adjust leverage policies carefully during periods of high profitability, as its value-enhancing impact diminishes, while investors should prioritize analyzing capital structure and profitability as key indicators of firm strength.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of product quality, brand image, and word-of-mouth recommendations on the decision to purchase Wardah cosmetics in Purwokerto. This study involved 120 students from Muhammadiyah University Purwokerto, Jenderal Soedirman University, and UIN Saizu Purwokerto who had used Wardah cosmetics, using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with the help of SmartPLS version 3.0 through external and internal model evaluation. The validity (AVE > 0.5) and reliability (Composite Reliability > 0.7) test results showed that all instruments were valid and reliable. The research results were tested based on the path coefficient value and P value (< 0.05). The results show that product quality, brand image, and word of mouth recommendations have a positive and significant effect on the decision to purchase Wardah cosmetics in Purwokerto. The contribution of this study lies in the integration of the word of mouth variable into the cosmetic purchase decision model, thereby providing a more comprehensive understanding of the role of consumer-to-consumer communication in influencing purchase decisions, particularly for local cosmetic products among students.
