Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat “Pengolahan Singkong Menjadi Produk Pangan Dalam Meningkatkan Kesejahteraan Kelompok Tani Bakti Karya karang Joang Balikpapan” yaitu untuk dapat memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan secara teknis berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok Tani Bakti. Permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu belum adanya kesadaran dari kelompok untuk menerapkan teknologi pangan dalam diversifikasi produk, belum mengetahui cara memanfaatkan singkong agar memiliki nilai tambah ekonomi dan daya simpan dalam bentuk produk dan cara memasarkan hasil produk olahan singkong sehingga dapat meningkatkan pendapatan kelompok tani. Solusi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan permasalahan mitra yaitu (1) memberikan penyuluhan yang mencakup tujuan jangka pendek dan tujuan jangka panjang. Penyuluhan jangka pendek yaitu menumbuhkan perubahan-perunbahan dalam diri petani yang mencakup tingkat pengetahuan, kecakapan, kemampuan, sikap dan motivasi petani terhadap kegiatan usaha tani yang dilakukan. Sedangkan jangka panjang yaitu peningkatan taraf hidup masyarakat tani sehingga meningkatkan kesejahteraan hidup petani dapat terjamin. (2) Memberikan pelatihan ketrampilan pembuatan produk dengan bahan singkong yang layak dijual dipasaran. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri dari (1) Survey kelayakan potensi lokal dan peserta yang dilibatkan, (2) Sosialisasi program yang akan dilaksanakan, (3) Melakukan pengadaan peralatan atau barang yang tepat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan untuk mendukung kegiatan, (4) Pelatihan teknis untuk pembuatan produk antara lain gethuk gulung keju, pudding singkong dan bolu kukus singkong, (5) Melakukan pendampingan secara berkelanjutan, untuk memastikan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini yaitu kelompok Tani Bakti Karya mendapatkan pemahaman dan ketrampilan serta pendampingan dalam pembuatan pemasaran produk gethuk gulung keju, pudding singkong dan bolu kukus singkong. Selain itu pemberian bantuan alat pengolahan untuk mendukung produksi kelompok Tani Bakti Karya.

Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat “Pendampingan Pembuatan dan Pengemasan Jamu untuk Daya Tahan Tubuh Selama Pandemi Covid-19 dalam Rangka Menambah Penghasilan Kelompok Tani Bakti Karya Karang Joang Balikpapan” adalah memberikan penyuluhan dan pelatihan secara teknis berdasarkan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh kelompok Tani Bakti. Permasalahan yang dihadapi yaitu kurangnya pemanfaatkan tanaman empon-empon yang banyak tumbuh di lingkungan rumah kelompok Tani Bakti. Selain dimanfaatkan sebagai bumbu masakan, tanaman empon-empon ternyata dapat diolah menjadi minuman jamu herbal yang dapat meningkatkan daya tahan tubuh. Bahkan, pengolahan empon-empon menjadi bahan jamu herbal dapat menambah nilai guna dan meningkatkan penghasilan kelompok Tani Bakti. Terdapat dua solusi yang ditawarkan berdasarkan permasalahan mitra. Pertama, memberikan penyuluhan yang mencakup tujuan jangka pendek dan tujuan jangka panjang. Tujuan jangka pendek penyuluhan adalah menambah pengetahuan, kecakapan, kemampuan, sikap, dan motivasi petani terhadap kegiatan usaha tani yang dilakukan, sedangkan tujuan jangka panjangnhya adalah meningkatkan taraf hidup masyarakat tani, khususnya menambah pengasilan anggota Kelompok Tani Bakti Karya Kelurahan Karang Joang. Kedua, memberikan pelatihan keterampilan pembuatan produk dengan bahan empon-empon sehingga layak dipasarkan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini terdiri atas (1) survey kelayakan potensi lokal dan peserta yang dilibatkan, (2) sosialisasi program, (3) melakukan pengadaan peralatan atau barang yang tepat dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan untuk mendukung kegiatan, (4) pelatihan teknis pembuatan produk, seperti Jamu Kunyit Asam, Jamu Beras Kencur, Jamu Empon-Empon, (5) melakukan pendampingan secara berkelanjutan untuk memastikan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan ini, yaitu kelompok Tani Bakti Karya Kelurahan Karng Joang mendapatkan pendampingan pembuatan produk Jamu Kunyit Asem, Jamu Beras Kencur, dan Jamu Empon-empon, pemahaman pemasaran produk, serta keterampilan penggunaan alat pengolahan untuk produksi kelompok Tani Bakti Karya Kelurahan Karang Joang.

Abstract

Copyright protection is one of the constitutional rights related to intellectual property, including copyrights on music and/or songs. Under the Copyright Law, royalties are recognized as compensation for the use of the economic rights of a creation. This study focuses on performing rights royalties, which require any person using songs and/or music for commercial purposes in public services to pay royalties to the creators through the National Collective Management Organization (LMKN). However, in practice, the collection of royalties remains problematic, particularly regarding the definition of "commercial user." The ambiguity in the Copyright Law and the Government Regulation on Royalties leads to uncertainty in determining whether the singer or the event organizer is responsible for royalty payments, resulting in a shift of responsibility between parties. On the other hand, a court ruling granted the lawsuit of a songwriter against a singer for performing rights in a concert, despite the legal framework suggesting that royalty payments should be made by the commercial user through LMKN. This study uses a normative legal research method with statutory, conceptual, and case approaches to examine the concept of royalty collection in Indonesia and the legal protection for songwriters, while highlighting the need for legal certainty and regulatory clarity. Abstract

Government regulations and policies on teacher quality and competence are increasing. Teachers are expected to be more innovative in carrying out their teaching duties. However, teacher readiness to produce scientific work is still insufficient. Therefore, community service activities are held related to scientific writing training for teachers. Participants in the program were teachers and staff from SMK Migas Balikpapan. This training activity aims to: improve professionalism, inspire teachers to conduct research, and experiment with new teaching methods. As a result of this practice, the teacher's understanding of how to create and publish scientific writing improves. It can help teachers establish in their careers and contribute to the dissemination of information throughout the educational community.

Abstract

The boycott of Israeli products in Indonesia reflects both solidarity with Palestine and the exercise of consumer rights. This study aims to analyze the boycott movement from the perspective of Indonesian consumer protection law, particularly Law No. 8 of 1999 on Consumer Protection (UUPK). Using a normative juridical method with a statute and conceptual approach, the research examines how consumer rights are exercised in ethical consumption practices and how legal obligations are imposed on businesses. The findings indicate that boycotts can be regarded as part of consumers’ rights to make choices based on moral and ethical considerations, although legal and economic challenges may arise. Businesses are required to provide accurate product information, while unclear labeling often hinders consumer decision-making. The study also discusses the legal and economic implications of boycotts in the context of international trade, underscoring the importance of regulatory frameworks that ensure transparency and strengthen consumer protection when ethical dilemmas shape purchasing decisions

Abstract

This paper not only discusses the issue of the approach used, the issue of ex-post and ex-ante merger control regulation usage, issues of conflict of norms, overlapping legal rules, and the existence of legal vacuum which complicates the enforcement of rules regarding merger control in Indonesia. The legal issues examined in this paper concern the characteristics of merger control based on the ratio decidendi of KPPU decisions during the 20 years of enforcing business competition law in Indonesia and the ius constituendum of the ex-ante and ex-post approach. This research is based on normative legal research using a statute approach, conceptual approach, case approach, and comparative approach method. These methods lead to the conclusion of the research, which is, that in the past 20 years, Indonesia has experienced a change in the ex-post merger control approach, resulting in partiality in the articles applied that are not entirely used in KPPU decisions. Furthermore, the idealized rules (ius constituendum) on the control of mergers in Indonesia, outlined in Law No. 5 of 1999, will be examined based on the principles and objectives of competition law enforcement in the country.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the practice of excessive pricing on airlines as a form of abuse of a dominant position from the perspective of business competition law. The practice of excessive pricing is a strategy of setting excessive and exploitative prices toward consumers. In this research, The researcher indicated unfair business competition associated with excessive pricing practices. In addition, the researcher also analyzed the impact of excessive pricing practices on consumers and business competition. The research method used is normative research with a doctrinal research approach. The study results show that many users of air transportation modes make airline business actors take advantage of these conditions to multiply company profits by selling tickets at very high prices exceeding the Excessive Pricing. However, in Law Number 5 of 1999 concerning the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition, there is no explanation of whether excessive pricing practices abuse a dominant position or are just regular business activity. Therefore, this paper aims to analyze and simultaneously prove indications of unfair business competition by airline business actors through excessive pricing from the perspective of business competition law.

Abstract

One of the supporting efforts in the tourism sector is the culinary business because it can attract tourists to visit a tourist destination. In this regard, consumption, especially of local or traditional foods and beverages from a region, is seen as food with cultural values. Food is both a physical need and a cultural and social activity. Therefore, the objective of this research involves the role of gender as a moderation factor in the intention to consume traditional foods, considering factors such as attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior. This study involves students as tourist participants who prefer culinary tourism destinations they have visited. The research employs Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) analysis, utilizing Amos in this study. The research findings indicate that the moderating role of gender shows that gender does not moderate attitudes and subjective norms concerning the intention to consume traditional foods. However, it moderates perceived behavior regarding the intention to consume traditional foods.

Abstract

In the creative economy, technology significantly enhances human productivity and creativity, prominently through Artificial Intelligence (AI), which simulates human intelligence in computing. The rapid advancement of AI raises numerous debates, particularly in the art sector, where societal opinions vary from opposing the registration of AI-generated artwork to advocating for AI's recognition as a non-person legal entity entitled to moral rights. This discourse centers around granting legal status to AI regarding its artwork and relates to the broader concept of Intellectual Property as it pertains to creators and copyright holders. Currently, Indonesia's Copyright Law Number 8 of 2014 lacks specific provisions addressing these issues, resulting in a legal vacuum. This research aims to analyze the application of copyright legal theory to AI-generated art and the legal implications for its future development and protection. Employing normative legal research, the study utilizes both conceptual and legislative approaches, applying inductive logic to draw conclusions. Findings indicate that AI should be regarded as a legal object, with the rights to its artwork attributed to legal entities possessing natural legal authority. Additionally, the use of AI in creative works aligns with the "work made for hire" doctrine. Ultimately, the study underscores the necessity for responsive and progressive legal frameworks that adapt to the evolving landscape of copyright and AI.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh kualitas pelayanan  terhadap kepuasan konsumen pada kafe Just 4 Fun Balikpapan. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitas pelayanan (X1), dan kepuasan konsumen (X2).  Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan media kuesioner dengan metode linkert. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah konsumen dari kafe Just 4 Fun Balikpapan. Teknik pengembilan sampel menggunakan simple random sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 88 konsumen. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dan analisis analisis regresi linear sederhana menggunakan SPSS untuk melihat pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat, nilai signifikansi pada variabel kualitas pelayanan diperoleh sebesar 0,00 menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen berpengaruh secara positif dan signifikan terhadap variabel dependen dengan nilai signifikansi 0,00 < 0,05. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel kualitas pelayanan mempunyai arah regresi koefisien positif dengan kepuasan konsumen. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kualitas pelayanan terhadap kepuasan konsumen
