Abstract

Green tea offers numerous health benefits; however, its market sales remain relatively low. PT Mitra Kerinci, the producer of the Likicha brand green tea, reported that only 38% of its annual production was absorbed by the market. This situation underscores the need for a strategic development plan to enhance sales performance. Therefore, an integrated approach combining PLS-SEM, BMC, QFD, and AHP methods was employed to formulate a strategy to increase the sales volume of Likicha green tea. This study aimed to identify consumer preferences for green tea products to develop a product strategy that enhances market absorption. The findings of this study indicate that consumer purchase intentions for green tea are influenced by health benefits, product packaging attributes, and price. A business mapping of the green tea industry was conducted to obtain a comprehensive internal and external analysis. The QFD data analysis identified technical requirements and prioritized component needs for improving green tea production. These results were then used to formulate criteria and strategic alternatives aimed at increasing green tea sales volume. The results indicate that product quality holds the highest priority among the criteria, with a weight of 64.3%. Among the strategic alternatives, sourcing high-quality tea leaves and optimizing processing methods emerged as the top priority, with a weight of 26.2%.

Abstract

Manajemen strategi merupakan program sebuah bisnis untuk dapat mengelola sumber daya yang tersedia sehingga mendapatkan tujuan dari bisnis. Manajemen strategis dilakukan dengan adanya analisis dari tahapan evaluasi bisnis, perumusan strategi, dan pemilihan strategi. Tantangan sebuah bisnis, terutama industri olahan pangan yang makin kompleks memerlukan metode-metode baru yang dapat merumuskan dan menentukan strategi dengan mempertimbangkan segala aspek yang mempunyai pengaruh. Metode Quality Function Deployment Modified yang terintegrasi dengan Strengths-Weaknessess-Opportunities-Threats (SWOT). Integrasi ini mendefinisikan sebuah bisnis sebagai customer yang memiliki needs untuk dapat berkembang. Melalui House of Quality (HOQ) divisualisasikan aspek pada SWOT menjadi needs pada HOQ dan faktor pada SWOT menjadi ECs pada HOQ. Hasil yang didapatkan berupa Weight of Each ECs menjadi nilai yang mempengaruhi dalam pemilihan strategi. Berdasarkan analisis SWOT, dirumuskan strategi dalam 4 kuadran yang menjadi alternatif-alternatif untuk ditentukan prioritasnya. Alternatif strategi dinilai agar dapat ditentukan prioritas dalam implementasinya menggunakan metode TOPSIS. Hasil akhir yang didapatkan berupa urutan prioritas strategi yang dapat memberikan pengaruh terbesar dalam pengembangan sebuah bisnis. Dalam pengimplementasiannya dalam sebuah bisnis, decision maker dapat mempunyai perspektif baru dalam menyelesaikan persoalan bisnis. Pada studi kasus UMKM XYZ yang bergerak di agroindustri olahan pangan, didapatkan bahwasanya prioritas strategi yang dihasilkan mempunyai peluang paling besar dalam mengembangkan bisnis.

Abstract

The method of extracting vegetable oils greatly affects the optimal yield and can affect the composition of the fatty acids that make up the triglycerides contained in the resulting oil. Systematic literature review method with research topics regarding the evaluation of the development of oil extraction methods for crude oil produced from 300 selected articles, then selected to become the following 100 articles into 25 relevant articles, obtained research data carried out to obtain optimum results is method Soxhlet extraction. From 25 articles, 4 articles were selected, which carried out optimization and follow-up on the oil results obtained, namely by purifying the oil and applying it to the product. This extraction method has not been developed on an industrial scale, only on a research or laboratory scale. The most widely used in the process of extracting oil on an industrial scale is the screw method, or known as the screw press.

Abstract

Limau Manis Village as Kampung Manggis is supported by the production of mangosteen in Padang City which is number 2 (two) in West Sumatra and 80% of mangosteen in Padang City comes from Pauh Subdistrict, with the center being in Limau Manis Village and the existence of Kampung Manggis brings hope for the community to improve their economy and will have an impact on the economy of the Padang City community. The skin of mangosteen fruit can be processed into value-added products. However, farmers and local businesses still face several challenges, such as the lack of knowledge and technology to process mangosteen peels into economically valuable products. Abundant mangosteen peels during the harvest season are often discarded or burned, causing environmental impacts such as soil and air pollution. However, due to the lack of public knowledge on mangosteen peel processing as waste, an innovative solution is needed to turn mangosteen peel waste into a new source of income through the development of competitive derivative products. This community service activity is designed as a strategic step to empower the community, optimize local potential, and build an innovative, sustainable mangosteen agroindustry, creating value-added products and improving the economic welfare of the community. In addition, this activity is also expected to be a model of agroindustry development based on local potential that can be developed. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide training in improving the knowledge, skills of the community in processing mangosteen skin, increasing the added value of mangosteen skin into mangosteen skin tea and mangosteen skin syrup products that have a broad impact on economic, social and environmental improvement.

Abstract

Empty oil palm fruit bunches (OPEFB) are an agro-industrial waste with a high cellulose content, but lignin is a constraint in their utilization. This study aims to examine the optimal alkali peroxide concentration and temperature in the OPEFB bleaching process. This study uses Response Surface Methodology (RSM) with Central Composite Design (CCD). The research factor include the concentration of NaOH, H₂O₂, and bleaching temperature, with responses of yield, water content, ash content, whiteness degree, and Kappa number. The results showed that the research factors influenced the observed response. RSM provided an optimum combination solution at a concentration of 9.35% NaOH, 31.50% H₂O₂, and a temperature of 84.35°C, with a desirability of 0.789.

Abstract

Background: Distributing Food Supplies for andalas university students that wander in Padang whoare affected by the Covid-19 Pandemic is essential. Methodology: The distribution of basic food packagesconsisting of rice, eggs, cooking oil, milk and instant noodles has been carried out in 2 stages. This packagecan feed students for 1 week and help them to survive this difficult time. This program was directlysupervised by the Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Andalas University and implementedjointly with all members of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, Andalas University. Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Balai Pengkajian Teknologi pertanian Sumatera Barat (BPTP SUMBAR). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membuat sebuah sistem informasi mengenai Alsintan yang ada di BPTP Sumbar berbasis website menggunakan CMS wordpress. Sistem informasi Alsintan ini dirancang untuk mempermudah mahasiswa, peneliti, dan petani dalam mencari informasi Alsintan yang ada di BPTP Sumbar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengembangan dengan pendekatan beberapa langkah: (1) analisis, (2) desain, dan (3) pengujian. Sumber data dari penelitian ini yaitu data primer yang diperoleh dari pengujian langsung terhadap satu mesin pemipil jagung model CS-2M yang ada di BPTP Sumbar dan wawancara. Data sekunder didapatkan dari jurnal yang ada di BPTP Sumbar. Telah dihasilkan (1). Sistem informasi alat dan mesin pertanian yang ada di BPTP Sumbar berbasis website (2). Mendapatkan hasil penelitian mesin pemipil jagung model CS-2M yang sesuai dengan test report mesin tersebut.

Abstract

Karet merupakan komoditas unggulan perkebunan Provinsi Lampung. Sentra produksi karet di Lampung terdapat di daerah Tulang Bawang, Mesuji dan Way Kanan. Produktivitas komoditi karet di lampung yaitu 1.051 (kg/ha/tahun) dan jumlah petani karet 120.052 jiwa. Saat ini petani karet selalu mengeluh tentang harga jual karet yang murah dan tidak semahal dulu. Harga karet yang rendah menyebabkan petani mencampurkan karet dengan benda lain untuk memperoleh berat karet yang lebih. Perilaku petani yang mayoritas membuat karet kotor yang dicampur dengan benda lain dengan tujuan untuk mendapatkan berat yang lebih besar akan merugikan rantai bisnis karet terutama pihak industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghitung nilai tambah yang diperoleh pelaku rantai pasok karet dan mengidentifikasi tingkat risiko yang di terima oleh pelaku rantai pasok tersebut, selanjutnya dihitung nilai keseimbangan antara nilai tambah dan risiko untuk menentukan harga yang adil. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai tambah yang diperoleh petani paling rendah dengan perbandingan 0,13 % : 1,03 % : 75,62 %, kemudian tingkat risiko yang diterima petani (0,528) juga mendapat nilai tertinggi, dibandingkan dengan pedagang pengumpul (0,104) dan eksportir lokal (0,309). Hasil perimbangan yang diperoleh antara nilai tambah dan tingkat risiko merubah penerimaan setiap pelaku rantai pasok karet yaitu petani yang sebelumnya menerima Rp.253 menjadi Rp.80.082 per kg produk, pedagang pengumpul mengalami peningkatan yaitu dari Rp.2.041 menjadi Rp.15.773 selanjutnya eksportir lokal mengalami penurunan dari Rp.149.377 menjadi Rp.46.866.

Abstract

Industri kopi Arabika di Kabupaten Kerinci, menghadapi tantangan utama dalam manajemen pasca panen, yang memengaruhi kualitas dan kuantitas produksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sensitivitas parameter pasca panen, yaitu kadar air, suhu pengeringan, dan durasi fermentasi, menggunakan pendekatan simulasi dan pemodelan. Data dikumpulkan melalui simulasi menggunakan teknik One-Way Sensitivity Analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kadar air optimal pada 12%, suhu pengeringan 45°C, dan durasi fermentasi 30 jam memberikan hasil produksi maksimal sebesar 30 kg. Parameter yang tidak sesuai, seperti kadar air yang terlalu tinggi atau suhu pengeringan yang tidak optimal, mengakibatkan penurunan kualitas dan kuantitas produk. Simulasi ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan parameter pasca panen yang terstandarisasi berkontribusi signifikan dalam meningkatkan efisiensi produksi kopi Arabika Kerinci. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan optimalisasi proses pasca panen untuk mendukung keberlanjutan industri kopi lokal sekaligus meningkatkan nilai tambah bagi petani dan pengolah kopi.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the quality of palm sugar produced by UD Sobar. The samples were taken from the two factories owned by UD Sobar located in Bulumario Village and Simaninggir Village. The parameter that is used to determine the quality of the palm sugar produced by UD Sobar is SNI (SII 0265-85). The parameters in SNI (SII 0268-65) are total sugar (reducing sugar and sucrose), reducing sugar, sucrose, water, ash, insoluble parts, pigment, starch, dangerous metal form and content. Additional testing that has been done is a pH test and color scale test. The result of the test on palm sugar sample produced in Bulumario Village, the ash content is not up to SNI standard (SII 0268-85) which is 2.73% (maximum SNI requirement of 2%).
