Abstract

Education is a determinant of the progress of the nation, creating quality future generations of the nation. Quality education can be created when learning is of good quality and in accordance with the needs of students and environmental conditions, including in the learning evaluation section. Evaluation of learning at this time still rarely uses a descriptive feedback model with technological collaboration. This can be seen from the low student scores and learning motivation. The purpose of this study is to improve the management of learning evaluation in the hope of increasing learning motivation and student achievement. This research model is a classroom action research model which is divided into several cycles, with research subjects being morning management students class of 2022. Based on the results of the research it shows that after cycle 2, descriptive evaluation management with integrated technology can increase student motivation and learning achievement.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the success or failure of using the picture series media discussion method to improve the writing skills of fourth grade students at SDN 5 Prabumulih semester 2 of the 2022/2023 academic year. The research method used was classroom action research with 26 students as research subjects. There are four stages of activity in each cycle: preparation, action, observation, and results of reflection. The results showed that the writing skills of fourth grade students at SDN 5 Prabumulih could be improved by using the discussion method using picture series media. According to cycle I, the number of students who completed 12 students or 46.15% and the number of students who did not complete 14 students or 53.85%. The results of cycle II increased with the number of students completing around 24 students or 92.30% and students not completing 8% or around 2 students. From these data it can be concluded that using the discussion method using picture series media can improve the writing skills of class IV students at SDN 5 Prabumulih.

Abstract

This research investigated about the implementation of marketing strategy at Junior High School of Al-Faruqi Kampar.  The research problems were 1) how the implementation of marketing strategy was, 2) what supporting and obstructing factors influencing in increasing marketing strategy at Junior High School of Al-Faruqi Kampar.  It was a descriptive qualitative research.  The main informants of this research were the principal and the vice of public relations, and the supporting informants were 1 head of school administration, 1 HRD (human resource development) team, 5 guardians of students and 4 students.  The object of this research was the implementation of marketing strategy at Junior High School of Al-Faruqi Kampar.  Observation, interview, and documentation were used for collecting the data.  The data were analyzed by using reduction, presentation, and conclusion.  The findings of this research showed that the implementation of marketing strategy at Junior High School of Al-Faruqi Kampar was in accordance with the proper way: planning a marketing strategy by using market identification, segmentation, product differentiation, marketing communications and educational institutions properly services.  The obstructing factors in implementing of marketing strategies at Junior High School of Al-Faruqi Kampar were the permission when entering the promotion permit, there were schools that did not accept it.  The Supporting factors in implementing of marketing strategies at Junior High School of Al-Faruqi Kampar were using relationships, the relationships were the parents of students and students to help promote.

Abstract

The leadership of Prophet Muhammad SAW during early period of Islam has been a source of inspiration. He was known as a religious figure and leader who deeply understood the importance of developing human resources. In the context of human resource management, implementation of management functions is the key to achieving effective human resource development. This research uses qualitative methods with literature study approach, documentation methods in collecting data, and content analysis in analyzing data. The research results show that in implementing the planning function, he implemented structured strategic planning, planned in stages, and made decisions based on criteria. In organizing implementation, he managed a multicultural work team wisely, placed human resources according to their qualifications, and demonstrated flexibility in decision making. In actuating implementation  is carried out by building a loving environment and motivating friends through spiritual incentives. Implementation of supervision is carried out by monitoring compliance with rules, a human approach in supervision, wise response to violations, and being a role model in enforcing norms and rules. This research provides valuable insights into the management implemented by Prophet Muhammad SAW that can be adopted in human resource development in a modern context to achieve effective and sustainable goals.   Keywords: Management Functions, Human Resource Management

Abstract

This study tried to find out the comparison between the effect of using close reading and text coding and KWL strategies on students’ reading comprehension. This quantitative research involves two classes of eleventh grade at MAN 2 Pekanbaru. Observation sheet and reading comprehension test are used to collect data. The data analysis reveals that the students’ reading comprehension using KWL strategy has beneficial to help students’ reading comprehension. Two tests were given by the participants, pre test and post test. The post test result reveals that KWL strategy was improved significantly if it was compared to Close reading strategy. The teachers also mention several advantages concerning the use of KWL strategy in their teaching practice. The advantages include students’ curiosity to the topic given since it stimulated students’ prior knowledge, teach students how to share ideas with the group, stimulated students’ to participate actively in learning process. The findings of the study suggest that KWL strategy is really beneficial to help improve English teaching and learning. However, Close Reading strategy also might be implemented to improve the quality of students’ reading comprehension. Key Words: Close reading strategy, KWL strategy, reading comprehension

Abstract

Kepemimpinan merupakan peran utama dalam menentukan keberhasilan pada lembaga pendidikan ataupun sebuah organisasi masyarakat. Pada praktiknya kemepimpinan menjadi salah satu acuan dalam membentuk nilai etika dan moral. Dalam hal ini Ilmu Filsafat Aksiologi sebagai landasan perspektif pada kepemimpinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menganalisis lebih dalam bagaimana Kepemimpinan Islam ditinjau dari aspek Filsafat Aksiologi. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi pustaka atau studi literatur (library research), dengan Pengumpulan data mencari sumber-sumber yang terkait seperti Jurnal, E-book atau artikel ilmiah lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa aspek-aspek aksiologi dalam kepemimpinan Islam memiliki tujuan mencetak generasi yang memiliki nilai dan norma Islami, berfungsi sebagai teladan yang baik, penengah dalam memecahkan masalah dan membimbing kepada setiap anggota, dan memiliki nilai keislaman, jujur, amanah, teladan, rendah hati, bertanggung jawab serta bermanfaat bagi masyarakat.

Abstract

The background to this research was conducted to determine the extent of implementation performance management of the Diniyah Takmiliyah Communication Forum (FKDT) in improving the quality of Diniyah Takmiliyah Awwaliyah Madrasah Education in Cingambul District, Majalengka Regency. In conducting this research the author used a qualitative approach; Qualitative research is carried out to build knowledge through understanding and discovery. The qualitative research approach is a research and understanding process based on methods that investigate social phenomena and human problems. In this study, researchers observed, interviewed and searched for documents related to FKDT and MDTA both through FKDT administrators, madrasa heads and MDTA teachers. This is done to find research results that are in accordance with the problem formulation. Based on the research results, the following conclusions can be drawn; The implementation of Subdistrict FKDT performance management in improving the quality of MDTA education in Cingambul District has generally been carried out quite well, by utilizing the MDTA head, the FKDT program as well as MDTA teachers as a step in implementing FKDT performance management. Even though it is felt that it has not been optimal at the level of implementation, it requires a real program that is needed by the MDTA head and his teachers.  Keywords: Performance Management, FKDT and MDTA.

Abstract

Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan merupakan dasar bagi perkembangan dan pendidikan seseorang. Oleh karena itu, setiap lembaga pendidikan harus memiliki pemimpin yang bertanggung jawab untuk setiap aspek kegiatan dan pengelolaan sekolah dengan cara menjadikan sekolah tersebut menjadi sekolah yang efektif. Riset ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan bagaimana strategi dari kepala sekolah dari Sekolah Menengah Atas Islam Terpadu Nurul Ilmi di kota jambi mampu membuat sekolah tersebut menjadi salah satu dari 3 sekolah terbaik yang ada di provinsi jambi. Adapun metode riset yang dipakai dalam riset ini adalah penelitian kualitatif, metode kualitatif menggunakan beberapa pendekatan studi kasus sebagai kerangka kerja utama. Data yang dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah dan guru di SMAIT Nurul Ilmi. Data yang terkumpul melalui proses wawancara dari pihak sekolah. Dalam hal ini, peran seorang kepala sekolah dalam mewujudkan sekolah yang efektif sangat penting. Seperti yang telah dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah di SMAIT Nurul Ilmi dengan mewujudkan sekolah yang efektif dan membuat sekolah tersebut menjadi salah satu dari tiga sekolah terbaik yang ada di provinsi jambi. Dengan memiliki visi misi yang jelas, kepala sekolah di SMAIT Nurul Ilmi mampu mengarahkan kegiatan di sekolah ke arah yang sesuai dengan tujuan sekolah tersebut.

Abstract

This research is based because the productivity level of madrasas is still far from what was expected. Therefore this study aims to explain and describe the concept of madrasah management. The method used is library research (Library Research). The results of the study show that madrasah management has distinctive characteristics, namely, 1) having a strong vision and mission, 2) having charismatic and tough leadership 3) having open (transparent) management, 4) a religious learning environment 5) having continuous evaluation. The essence of madrasah-based management is to ensure that madrasahs have broad autonomy in managing resources, involve the community in management, and do not ignore national policies. By applying the principles of commitment, awareness and independence.

Abstract

Educational management is a necessary tool to achieve educational goals. The application of management principles in the field of education is an element of internal management education. Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling activities in the field of education are part of education management. The management function is a fundamental part of every activity and will always be part of the management process. Internal managers will use it as a reference in carrying out activities to achieve goals. The management function is a fundamental component that will always exist and be ingrained in the management process. These functions will serve as a guide for managers as they carry out activities to achieve goals. In the 20th century, a French industrialist named Henry Fayol was the first to introduce management functions. The management function has not been fully implemented in educational institutions as a whole, errors or deficiencies often occur in educational institutions. Consequently, educational institutions must implement management functions to improve their quality. This is so that educational institutions can provide quality teaching and learning rights. Therefore understanding the implementation of educational management functions is necessary. Seven management functions, (Rahman, 2020), namely: Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing, Coordinating, Reporting.
