Abstract

Students often experience difficulties in mastering physics concepts, especially on the topic of magnetism due to inaccurate understanding and misconceptions. Limited learning time is also a factor that hinders in-depth understanding. To overcome this problem, a web-based recitation method was developed using the Moodle platform to help improve students' mastery of concepts. This research developed a recitation program called the Magnetism Recitation Program (MRP) and can be accessed using a smartphone or laptop with an internet network. MRP contains multiple choice questions with direct feedback that are tailored to various student thinking possibilities. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of MRP. To answer the objectives, this research used a one-group pretest-posttest design involving 25 Physics Education students at the State University of Malang who were taking the Basic Physics III course. The effectiveness of MRP is analyzed using the n-gain value. The research results show an n-gain value of 0.22, which means that MRP is effective in increasing students' mastery of concepts on the topic of magnetism, although there are several weaknesses that students still experience.

Abstract

Vocational High School (SMK) is an appropriate educational institution to develop entrepreneurship education. The development of the concept of learning, continuing, and entrepreneurship (BMW) is a strategy in developing the potential of SMK students to be able to compete globally. However, there are still SMK students, especially TBO graduates in 2023, only 7.9% of 38 students who work according to their expertise competencies. The development of a water slide decal entrepreneurship program is an alternative solution to develop students' potential and skills in entrepreneurship independently. Program development was carried out with the research subject of class XII TBO SMKN 3 Boyolangu. The research design uses the Dick and Carey development model with ten stages, starting from instructional needs analysis to the summative evaluation stage. The development results show that at the expert test stage, the teaching material obtained 93% with a very feasible category, the results of the instructional design expert test 88% with a very feasible category, the results of the small group test obtained 80.3% with a very effective category, and the results of the large group test obtained 83.9% with a very effective category, and the summative evaluation obtained 81% with a very effective category. Based on this exposure, it can be concluded that the implementation of the water slide decal entrepreneurship program development is able to encourage or motivate students in developing an independent spirit of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

‘’Independence of Learning” from the MBKM concept is often associated with Paulo Freire's critical pedagogy. This research and development (R&D) seek to design and test dialogic learning strategies/methods using the ADDIE model (analyze, design, develop, implement & evaluate). The product trial consisted of expert assessment and field trial through formative evaluation (one-to-one, small-group & field trial) which was conducted by 30 participants. Data collection techniques include filling out questionnaires’ interviews, observation and documentation. Quantitative data analysis uses descriptive statistics with the help of IBM SPSS 26 software. The qualitative data analysis uses the help of Atlas.Tiversi 9 qualitative data analysis software. Based on the results of the field-test evaluation with a percentage of 90%, it can be concluded that the dialogical teaching method is very feasible. Three main themes from the qualitative data were (a) the relationship between the teaching method and students' responses, (b) students' readiness for critical learning and (c) the positive effects of problem-facing learning. Prospectively, our design is promising to be used as a teaching method in future MBKM curricula.

Abstract

In 2018, the technology, business and ICT (information and communication technology) sectors were the sectors that received the most new students at the vocational school level. Jobs in the ICT sector are one of the sectors that are really needed in Indonesia. There are more job vacancies in the ICT sector for vocational schools than for high schools. However, in the 2015-2019 period, the number of ICT sector workers with high school graduates was higher than vocational school graduates. The soft skill that is most needed in ICT sector jobs is collaboration. The main objective of this literacy study is to describe learning methods to improve collaboration skills in vocational high school students in the ICT field. Systematic literacy study using the PICOC framework is the method used. The results of this literacy study are in the form of descriptions related to: 1. The concept of collaboration; 2. Challenges and obstacles; 3. Learning activities to improve collaboration skills. It was found that problem-based learning (PBL) can improve collaboration abilities. To be suited to the world of work, it is necessary to integrate the Scrum model to develop vocational school students' collaboration skills in the field of ICT.

Abstract

An expert system is a computerized application that aims to imitate the reasoning process of an expert in solving certain problems and making decisions or conclusions because their knowledge is stored in a knowledge base to process problem solving. The basis of an expert system is how an expert's knowledge is transferred to a computer and used to make decisions and draw conclusions based on that knowledge. Many expert system applications have emerged in the medical field. By answering questions on an application similar to consulting a doctor, this expert system allows ordinary people to detect diseases based on the symptoms they experience. In this way, lay people can also identify diseases and treatment solutions early, which allows for rapid treatment and disease prevention. This system aims to provide support to medical personnel in carrying out initial diagnoses, increasing diagnostic accuracy, and assisting in making medical decisions more quickly and efficiently. The use of the Bayes Theorem method allows the system to handle uncertainty and variations in the symptoms experienced by patients, so as to provide more accurate results.
