Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Islamic educational leadership and clinical supervision on teacher performance at MA Nahdlatul Wathan Licin Banyuwangi. Using a qualitative approach with observation and interviews, it was found that the principal implemented a democratic leadership style based on deliberation, which created a participatory work environment. However, a number of obstacles still confront teachers, such as limited technology, incompatibility of open fields, and ineffective time management. To overcome this, the principal conducted clinical supervision through the stages of planning, observation, and evaluation. The results showed an increase in teacher competence and learning quality. This study emphasizes the importance of participatory leadership and effective supervision in improving teacher professionalism in Islamic educational institutions. Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Assessment in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) holds a crucial role, not only as a measure of academic achievement but also as a means for internalizing Islamic values. However, in practice, evaluations in the field often neglect to consider the stages of students' cognitive development, resulting in a mismatch between the form of evaluation and students' readiness to think. This study aims to examine the implementation of Jean Piaget's cognitive development theory in the design of PAI learning assessments, with a focus on its principles, forms, benefits, and challenges. The method employed is library research using a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from relevant literature and critically analyzed through a hermeneutic approach. The findings indicate that a Piaget-based assessment approach requires the adjustment of instruments according to students' cognitive characteristics at each stage: symbolic and intuitive for the preoperational stage, concrete and contextual for the concrete operational stage, and analytical and reflective for the formal operational stage. Cognitively appropriate evaluations have been proven to enhance learning effectiveness, increase learning motivation, and strengthen the development of students' Islamic character. Nevertheless, its implementation faces challenges in terms of teacher readiness, availability of media, and time constraints. Thus, this approach encourages the need for transformation in PAI assessment practices to become more humanistic, progressive, and aligned with children's psychological development. Abstract

Introducing Hijaiyah letters is essential as the foundation for Qur’an reading skills, particularly for children aged 5–6 years, which is considered a golden age in their development. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving observation, interviews, and documentation to collect data from teachers, parents, and children at the Anak Hebat (AHE) learning center. The findings reveal that AHE applies the AGA (Anak Surga) method, which incorporates titian ingatan (memory bridging) in the learning process. This method consists of six steps: brain gym, remedial, module reading, enrichment, writing, and educational games. Implementing this strategy has proven effective, as the children demonstrated significant improvement in recognizing letters, proper pronunciation, and reading short verses. Moreover, parental involvement in supporting learning at home also contributed to the success of the program. This study is expected to offer new insights into effective teaching strategies for non-formal educational institutions, especially in the context of Hijaiyah letter instruction.   Keywords: Learning Strategies, Hijaiyah Letters, Reading Skills, Early Childhood

In the process of reading the Qur'an, many students experience difficulties and mistakes, so it is necessary to motivate them to be diligent in reading the Qur'an. It is also necessary to see what factors cause, the need to conduct research in the Special Program Tahfizhul Qur'an (PKTQ) Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 2 Sukoharjo. This research aims to find out how implementing the 'Ali method improves the ability to read the Qur'an in the Special Program for Tahfizhul Qur'an (PKTQ) MIN 2 Sukoharjo. To find out how the implementation of the 'Ali method in PKTQ MIN 2 Sukoharjo improved the ability to read the Qur'an, the author collects theories about the 'Ali method in reading the Qur'an. This research is qualitative by collecting data using interviews, observation, and documentation. To increase the degree of data validity, data validity testing is carried out by extending participation, persistence, observation, triangulation, and using reference materials. The process of analyzing the data is done with three streams, namely: data reduction, data presentation, and verification (conclusion). The research conducted resulted in the final analysis of the implementation of the 'Ali method in improving the ability to read the Qur'an in the Special Program for Tahfizhul Qur'an (PKTQ) MIN 2 Sukoharjo, namely in teaching the teacher is quite good at mastering the material and learning steps with the 'Ali method, although not all teachers are nationally certified. This method is very good because it makes students able to read the Qur'an with the correct makhroj and tajweed quickly.
