Abstract

Learning Islamic education is one of the learning points that can shape the character, morality, and spirituality of individuals in society. However, as time progresses, many challenges appear such as the lack of interest and involvement of students in learning Islam, especially in the current digital era. Limited time, lack of adequate resources, and changing students' mindsets towards media and technology are the main obstacles in achieving the goals of Islamic education. In addition, with the increasing development of information and communication technology, there is a demand to integrate technology into the learning process in order to update teaching methods and motivate students in learning Islam. The purpose of this research is to explore the potential of learning applications as an effective tool in improving the performance and motivation of students in Islamic religious education, taking into account contemporary challenges and needs in the religious learning process. The research method used is a quantitative method. The research data was obtained from the results of the questionnaire. The results of the research show that the use of learning applications significantly increases students' understanding of Islamic religious material, with the average test score increasing significantly. In addition, the level of student motivation in learning Islam also experienced a significant increase, evident from active participation in class discussions, task completion, and better attendance levels. The implementation of this research states that learning applications provide clear benefits in improving student performance and motivation in Islamic religious education. This confirms the need for technology integration in the learning process of Islamic Religion to optimize the student's learning experience and strengthen religious values ??in an increasingly digitally connected society.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has succeeded in changing the entire structure of world society. Many sectors have been affected by the ferocious spread of the Covid-19 virus; economic, tourism and even education sectors. The aim of this research is to describe Islamic Religious Education learning patterns in Lampung province which took place during the Covid-19 pandemic era. This type of research is qualitative. The research was conducted in Lampung Province targeting all educational institutions starting from primary, secondary and upper education levels. The data sources in this research were obtained from interviews; Interviews were conducted with teaching staff, education staff, students and students' parents. The research results illustrate that the Islamic Religious Education learning process in the Covid-19 pandemic era in Lampung Province encountered many obstacles. The use of online learning platforms such as Google Classroom, Google Meet, Zoom Meeting is not evenly distributed. To support the use of online learning applications, an internet quota is also required which then becomes an unexpected expense for all students' parents; and is considered a drain on your wallet. Use device for each student whose ownership is not evenly distributed due to diverse economic backgrounds. Uneven internet networks and limited teaching are also factors that policy makers need to pay attention to. Learning methods or strategies, especially Islamic Religious Education in Lampung Province, have been changed to use online learning platforms. Abstract

This study used data from observations of first-grade primary school pupils at SDN Srengseng Sawah 04 South Jakarta in the 2017–2018 academic year who still had learning outcomes in the mathematics topic of addition material that fell short of the KKM norm. This study aimed to improve the learning outcomes of grade I children in math addition material. This study employs a cycle approach of classroom planning, implementation, observation, and reflection as its methodology. Thirteen class I B students, sixteen of whom were male and fifteen of whom were female, made up the subjects of this study. Their backgrounds varied concerning place of residence, social standing, and academic accomplishment. Pre-cycle findings showed 48.4% completeness, while cycle one completeness of student scores was 64.52%; cycle 2 data showed an average score of 96.77%. We can conclude that bettering student learning outcomes through a cooperative learning approach is possible.

Abstract

This article describes an analysis result to Nurcholish Madjid’s thinking about the importance of religion education in the family toward age basic child. This research is liberary research. Data is obtained from the various literature as book and journal. Data is analyzed by content analysis technique which analyzes various sources and conclusions concerning religion education in the family toward age basic child perspective of Nurcholish Madjid. According to Nurcholish Madjid, religion education in the family to basic age child includes two dimensions which the first is divinity dimension including to faith, Islam, virtue, piety, sincere and resignation, gratitude, and patient. The second is and humanity dimension including to friendship, fraternity (ukhuwah), equality (al-musawwah), fair, positive thinking (husn-u’zh-zhann), humble (tawaddu), commitment (al-wafa), cordiality (insyirah), mandate (al-amanah, “amanah”), brave (iffah atau ta’affut), thrifty (qawamiyah), dan generous (al-munfiqun, doing infaq). A right action of parent which teach those good values by model and practice continually as pray, fast, alms, discipline of time, and independent, will be internalized into child’s self and make the child aware to actualize those values on the daily life since basic age.

Abstract

Students' critical thinking has been a significant concern within education development efforts, and this needs to be addressed and promoted by teachers. However, most teachers barely promote this skill, especially related to Islamic education, which leads to more challenges for students in learning Islam. Therefore, encouraging innovation and strategies to develop students' critical thinking in learning Islam is necessary. This research aims to analyze the implementation of the neuroscientific approach and how it can develop students' critical thinking skills. This research used a Quasi-Experimental method with a pretest-posttest design. Eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Talangpadang Tanggamus were the population of this research. Only two classes, Class VIII.1 (experimental class) and Class VIII.3 (control class) were used as the research sample chosen using simple random sampling. The result of the research showed that the neuroscientific approach has a significant influence on improving students' critical thinking skills. However, the degree of the influence was varied across the data. Moreover, this research also showed that the implementation of the neuroscientific approach in learning should be explored and expanded to promote students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This ponder explores the viewpoint of Islamic instruction in combating bullying in Indonesia. It is persuaded by the tall frequency of bullying in schools and the require for viable approaches that consolidate devout values. The point of the investigate is to investigate how Islamic instruction standards can be utilized to anticipate and address bullying. The technique incorporates a writing survey of different scholastic sources and interviews with teachers and Islamic professionals from a few schools in Indonesia. The discoveries uncover that Islamic instruction values such as sympathy, equity, and sympathy have noteworthy potential to diminish bullying behaviors. By executing a educational programs centered on character improvement and applying Islamic standards, occurrences of bullying can be altogether diminished. In conclusion, joining Islamic instruction standards into school educational program and arrangements is viable in tending to and anticipating bullying whereas cultivating a more secure and more comprehensive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the SQ3R learning model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) for seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Bandar Lampung. A quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design was employed. The sample comprised two randomly selected classes: an experimental group (N = 32) taught using the SQ3R model and a control group (N = 32) taught using conventional methods. Data were collected through a validated and reliable multiple-choice posttest assessing cognitive domains of understanding (C2), analyzing (C4), and evaluating (C6). Data analysis included normality testing (Kolmogorov-Smirnov), homogeneity of variance (Levene’s test), independent samples t-test, and effect size calculation (Cohen’s d). Results revealed a statistically significant difference between groups (t(62) = 2.71, p = 0.009), with the experimental group achieving a higher mean score (M = 79.15, SD = 6.10) compared to the control group (M = 73.20, SD = 7.30). The effect size (Cohen’s d = 0.88) indicated a large effect. These findings confirm that the SQ3R model significantly enhances students’ cognitive learning outcomes, particularly in higher-order thinking skills. The study supports implementing the SQ3R learning strategy as a practical approach to improve academic performance in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of the PQ4R learning model on students’ learning outcomes at the cognitive levels of analysis (C4) and evaluation (C5). Employing a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental posttest-only control group design, Samples were selected through simple random sampling. Class VIII.1 was assigned as the experimental group receiving the PQ4R learning model, while class VIII.7 served as the control group with conventional instruction. The research instrument was a 15-item multiple-choice test validated for validity and reliability. Data analysis began with assumption testing for normality and homogeneity. Levene’s test indicated an F-value of 1.184 with a significance of 0.281, confirming homogeneity of variance between groups. The hypothesis was tested using an independent samples t-test, yielding a t-value of 5.343 with 59 degrees of freedom and a significance level of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the groups’ mean scores. The mean difference of 1.62366 with a 95% confidence interval ranging from 1.01309 to 2.23168 further supports this result. These findings conclude that the PQ4R learning model significantly improves students’ analytical and evaluative thinking skills. Therefore, the PQ4R model is recommended as an effective instructional strategy for enhancing higher-order cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

The halaqah method is known as an effective traditional approach in teaching religious knowledge, especially in Islamic boarding schools, because it allows direct interaction between students and ustadz in an in-depth discussion atmosphere. This study uses a qualitative methodology, the study is included in the descriptive research category, by collecting data through observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects of the study were students and teachers at Ma'had Al-Jami'ah UIN Raden Intan Lampung who participated in fiqh learning using the halaqah method. The results of the study showed that the halaqah method improved students' understanding of fiqh material, especially in daily worship practices. Some of the obstacles faced include time constraints and variations in the educational backgrounds of students. However, this method is considered effective in building the personality and skills of students in understanding fiqh in depth. These findings are expected to be a reference for the development of the halaqah method in other religious educational institutions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the problems of Pai teachers in using learning media and efforts to overcome the use of learning media. This research was conducted at an elementary school in with the object of research being a PAI teacher. The type of research method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study were conducted using interviews, observation, and documentation with qualitative data analysis techniques which consisted of three stages, namely data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions. As for the results in this study in using PAI teacher learning media they still experience difficulties, the problems encountered such as developing and operating learning media, PAI teachers also have difficulties in designing learning media, as well as inadequate facilities and infrastructure. In overcoming some of the problems using these learning media, the efforts that can be made by PAI teachers are to monitor learning media such as teacher creativity in developing learning media, using simple media, participating in seminar training, or workshops on learning media, and PAI teachers must be able to manage time. in planning learning media. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui problematika guru pai dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran serta upaya dalam mengatasi penggunaan media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar dengan objek penelitian guru PAI. Jenis metode penelitian yang dipakai kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dengan teknik analisis data kualitatif yang terdiri dari tiga tahapan, yakni reduksi data, display data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil dalam penelitian ini dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran guru pai masih mengalami kesulitan, problematika yang dihadapi seperti mengembangkan dan mengeoperasikan media pembelajaran,  guru PAI juga kesulitan dalam merancang media pembelajaran, serta sarana dan prasarana juga yang kurang memadai. Dalam mengatasi beberapa permasalahan penggunaan media pembelajaran tersebut, adapun upaya yang dapat dilakukan guru PAI mengatasi media pembelajaran seperti kreatifitas guru dalam pengembangan untuk membuat media pembelajaran, menggunakan media sederhana, mengikuti pelatihan seminar, atau workshop tentang media pembelajaran, serta guru PAI harus dapat mengatur waktu dalam perencanaan media pembelajaran.
