Abstract

Discussing the urgency and relevance of civic education and religious character education from an early age has several challenges as well as opportunities. The research in this paper is qualitative with an analytical descriptive approach using documentation methods. The general objective of this study is to understand not only the urgency but also the relevance of citizenship education and religious character education from an early age in Indonesia? What are the challenges and opportunities for implementing civic education and religious character education for an early age in Indonesia? In general, strengthening civic education and religious character education from an early age in Indonesia is still important because this is part of a process that has never been completed. This is relevant to the spirit of change and sustainability from era to era. In this case, the challenges can be said to be not small. More than that, the opportunity may also be greater to be optimized for the realization of unity in diversity and the progress of the nation.

Abstract

Metode permainan ini merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran karena dalam hal ini anak belajar sambil bermain, dan permainan ini merupakan permainan masyarakat yang perlu dikenalkan kepada anak usia dini yaitu permainan bakiak. Permainan ini merupakan salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan fisik/motorik kasar anak pada usia lima sampai enam tahun. Motorik kasar merupakan kemampuan anak beraktifitas dengan menggunakan otot-otot besar, Motorik kasar sangat penting dikuasai oleh seseorang karena dapat bermanfaat untuk melakukan aktivitas sehari-hari, bila tidak mempunyai kemampuan gerak yang baik akan mengalami ketingalan kemampuan dari yang dimiliki orang lain misalnya tidak dapat mengikuti aktivitas bermain bersama dengan teman seperti berlari, melompat, mendorong, melempar, menangkap, menendang, dan lain sebagainya, kegiatan ini memerlukan dan menggunakan otot-otot besar pada tubuh. Tujuan permainan bakiak ini untuk melatih anak bisa bekerjasama dalam meraih satu tujuan, menjalin keakraban pada diri setiap anak. Bakiak oleh sebagian masyarakat dikembangkan menjadi sebuah permainan sandal bakiak dengan satu sandal dapat membuat empat atau enam orang lalu berjalan secara bersama-sama atau serempak jika tidak kompak maka kelompok tersebut pastinya akan terjatuh. Nantinya mereka bersama-sama melangkah ke garis finish.

Abstract

Second Language Acquisition (SLA) is of paramount importance in second or foreign language, in this case English, learning. Thus, it is necessary to figure out how a learner acquires English language in non-English speaking countries. This study was aimed at investigating how a female Syirian student living in Indonesia acquires English as her third language and how she enriches English vocabularies. This research was presented in qualitative approach. The participants were a Syrian female student, Louren Haidar, her parents, her friends and also her english teacher. To collect the data, observation, interview and documentation were conducted. The result of the study showed that Lauren acquired English mostly from classroom activities where her teachers played the biggest role. To enrich vocabularies Laured did some strategies such as Arabic-English translation, writing down the new words, and reading a lot. One of the hardest challenges she faced was pronuncing certain sounds in English such as /p/ and /b/, /v/ vs. /f/, /tʃ/ and /dʒ/ ch + j.

Abstract

Salah satu ketrampilan matematika yang harus dimiliki adalah kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu tujuan dalam proses pembelajaran matematika. Dalam arti pemecahan masalah sebagai suatu kemampuan yang akan dicapai peserta didik, yakni peserta didik diharapkan mampu memahami masalah, membuat rencana penyelesaian, melakukan rencana penyelesaian serta memerika kebenaran jawaban dan hasil yang diperoleh. Pentingnya pemecahan masalah dalam pembelajaran juga disampaikan oleh National Council of Teacher of Mathematics. Peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran berbasis masalah yang menekankan keterlibatan peserta didik secara aktif sehingga memungkinkan pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna. Situasi, kondisi, dan aktivitas pembelajaran matematika sehingga kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dapat tercapai sesuai dengan harapan, bergantung pada bahan ajar yang dapat memfasilitasinya. Dalam tulisan ini akan dikaji mengenai pengembangan bahan ajar berbasis masalah untuk memfasilitasi pencapaian kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe students' ability to find paragraph elements in the reading text. The research method used was a mix of research methods with explanatory sequential research designs. Data collection techniques consisted of tests, interviews, and documentation. The research object was 34 students. Students' ability to find the main sentence in reading texts; 1, 2, and 3 shows sufficient criteria (60.77%) of a maximum score of 100%. The ability of students to find the main ideas in reading texts 1, 2, and 3 showed very fewer criteria (0%) than a maximum score of 100%. Students' ability to find explanatory sentences in the reading texts 1, 2 and 3 with sufficient criteria (55, 01%) from a maximum score of 100%. In general, the students’ mistakes were because they lack attention to teacher explanations and practice questions in finding elements of the paragraph.

Abstract

This study included a qualitative evaluative research evaluation model CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) developed by Daniel L Stufflebeam. Data Collection techniques used interviews, Observation and documentation.the result showed In aspect context program, regrouping is needed by school in an effort to imrove the quality of education. In aspect of input program, the planning of regrouping human resources, funds, facilities and the mechanism for implementing the regrouping program is fulfilled and running well. In aspect process, regrouping program of school, not fully implemented according to the objectives of the program. especially in the management of abandoned school buildings, there is a waste of buildings, the school and the Education Office need to be wise and creative in terms of the utilization of the school buildings that are left behind, so that the objectives regrouping of school rcan be fully implemented properly. And aspect product, the implementation regrouping program of the school is fully implemented well, has improved the quality of education in schools, increased student achievement, increased number of students, the use of education funds is more efficient and infrastructure is more effective in terms of use.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the application and improvement of learning outcomes by drinking straws and bag numbers in learning the addition of two numbers. This research was a classroomaction research conducted in class I B of MI Muhammadiyah Pondok Academic Year 2018/2019,totaling 25 students. This research was conducted in 2 cycles consisting of four stages, namelyplanning, action, observation, and reflection. This study used drinking straws and bag numbers aslearning media. The instruments used in this study were RPP, LKPD, guidelines for observationand interviews and documentation. The indicator of the success of this study was in terms of theprocess of teacher and student abilities observed aspects of 80% or 7 of the 8 aspects and in terms ofresults of 80% or 20 of the 25 class, I B students completed the passing grade, which was 65. The results showed that drinking straws and number bags were able to facilitate students in learning the two numbers addition material and were able to improve student learning outcomes, indicatedby learning outcomes that reached KKM in cycles I and II were 68% and 84%. The application ofdrinking straws and number bags could improve the learning outcomes of class I B students at MIMuhammadiyah Pondok Karanganom Klaten.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a video animation of science learning materials on water recycling and natural events. The development model used is the DDD-E model. The product developed wasvalidated by the material validator and the media validator, two and three times, respectively. Thenthe product is revised according to the suggestions and validator input. The final validation resultsindicate the product is worth testing with an average score of 4.6 which is included in the highlyvalid criteria. After that, an animated video product is tested on elementary school students to findout the practicality of the media

Abstract

This study aimed to describe the development of children's religious life from a family of dual career families, namely families where both father and mother both work outside the home and undergo certain professions. How is the parenting style and pattern of education applied by parents to keep the child's awareness and religious attitudes in good condition, and what factors are the supporters and inhibitors of the development of a child's religious spirit in the dual career family ?. Child restrictions referred to in this study are children in the range of primary school age, namely between the ages of 7-11 years. Based on data collected from 6 families of working mothers' fathers who are respondents, the results of the study show that families generally realize that parents are still the first and foremost place for child growth and development, so that the main function of the family is not to be educated, caring, socializing children so that children can carry out their functions in society properly, remains a top priority. Parenting that is applied in the family is generally appropriate, namely democratic parenting and education patterns as a place to socialize the ideal second child, namely the school environment that has an orientation on spiritual development in addition to academic orientation. While the supporting and inhibiting factors of the process of developing mindfulness in children are generally influenced by the internal and external factors of children, the school environment, the community and most importantly parents.

Abstract

The importance of effective management in educational organizations is getting more and more attention from various parties. The purpose of this study was to find out whether the heads of Madrasah Ibtidai'yah in Metro City had implemented effective leadership patterns in leadership management in madrasah. The results of this study indicate that the heads of Islamic elementary schools in Metro City are actually principals who present themselves as effective leaders and understand well how to become professional leaders. The professional meaning here is that the head of the madrasah has shown itself to be an education leader and always maintains quality at all times. In certain circumstances the head of the madrasah has even included the category of master school leaders who are able to show quality where other parties can place the principal as an expert in leading the school. The principal not only looks good, but also is able to show understanding of the meaning of quality. However, there has not been seen any influence between the headmaster's leadership and the level of achievement achieved by students. This means that principals actually include educational leaders with the title of professionals or even masters, but there is no significant influence between the level of leadership and student achievement.
