Al Qodiri : Jurnal Pendidikan, Sosial dan Keagamaan diterbitkan oleh Pusat Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (P3M) Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Al-Qodiri Jember. Jurnal ini memuat kajian-kajian pendidikan, Sosial dan Keagamaan. Terbit dua kali dalam setahun pada bulan April dan Agustus. Redaksi mengundang para akademisi, dosen, maupun peneliti untuk berkontribusi memasukkan artikel ilmiahnya yang belum pernah diterbitkan oleh jurnal lain. Naskah diketik dengan spasi 1,5 cm pada kertas ukuran A4 dengan panjang tulisan antara 20-25 halaman, 7000-9000 kata. Naskah yang masuk dievaluasi oleh dewan redaksi dan mitra bestari.

Abstract

This article aims to examine in depth the concepts of mantuq and mafhum as epistemological pillars in the methodology of Islamic legal reasoning (istinbat), both in classical and contemporary contexts. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive approach using the library research method. Data were collected from classical works such as al-Mustashfa, al- Ihkam fi Ushul al-Ahkam, and Ushul al-Fiqh al-Islami, supported by relevant national and international scholarly journals. Data collection was conducted through documentation, followed by content and thematic analysis. The findings indicate that mantuq and mafhum are two essential components in ushul fiqh, functioning to integrate both explicit and implicit meanings derived from Islamic legal texts. Mantuq provides the literal foundation of law, while mafhum enables the rational and contextual expansion of legal meaning. These findings highlight that the integration of mantuq and mafhum is highly relevant in responding to contemporary legal dynamics in Islam, such as issues of technology, bioethics, and socio-legal developments. Therefore, the concepts of mantuq and mafhum reinforce Islamic law as a normative system that is both dynamic and adaptive to the challenges of the modern era.

Abstract

This article explores the thought of Nawal El Saadawi regarding women's rights through the lens of Islamic law and its relevance to the matriarchal culture of the Minangkabau society. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach and library research methods, the study analyzes Saadawi’s autobiographical and fictional works, which articulate a sharp critique of patriarchal systems that oppress women through state power, cultural norms, and gender-biased religious interpretations. The data analysis is conducted through an interpretive-hermeneutic method, aiming to uncover Saadawi’s transformative and progressive ideas within the framework of Islam. The research also incorporates data triangulation by referencing national and international scholarly journals from the past decade to strengthen the theoretical validity of the arguments presented. The findings reveal that while Saadawi's ideas are often perceived as controversial, they align with the Islamic principles of justice and gender equality, as reflected in the Qur'an. Furthermore, when contextualized within the Minangkabau matrilineal tradition, it becomes evident that Islamic feminism has long been integrated into local customs—placing women at the center of lineage and granting them significant roles in both domestic and public spheres, exemplified by the figure of Bundo Kanduang. This article concludes that Saadawi’s feminist perspective and the cultural values of the Minangkabau can serve as ideological and cultural foundations for developing a more gender-inclusive Islamic discourse and as an alternative model for the advancement of women's rights in contemporary Muslim societies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the life and personality of Kiai Haji Ahmad Dahlan from a historical and analytical perspective, focusing on his pioneering role in Islamic reform in Indonesia and the dynamics surrounding the birth and early development of the Muhammadiyah organization. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through library research, concentrating on the analysis of historical documents, scholarly works, as well as primary and secondary sources related to the figure and the Muhammadiyah movement. Data were collected using documentation techniques and analyzed descriptively and analytically through an inductive approach to formulate findings in a systematic and objective manner. The findings indicate that K.H. Ahmad Dahlan was a visionary Islamic reformer with a balanced character of scholarly depth, spiritual piety, and social concern. He not only promoted theological renewal grounded in the Qur’an and Sunnah but also manifested it through social movements via Muhammadiyah. This organization served as a medium for transformation through modern education, healthcare services, women’s empowerment, and various charitable initiatives. With its rational and structured approach, Muhammadiyah emerged as a representation of progressive Islam that is responsive to contemporary needs. These findings affirm that Ahmad Dahlan and Muhammadiyah are not merely part of Indonesia’s Islamic history but stand as a living model of Islam as a liberating and constructive force for a civilized and progressive society.

Abstract

The study entitled "Tense Analysis of Tense in Writing Recount Paragraphs of University Students of ITP Markandeya Bali " aims to analyze the use of tense and the types of errors that commonly occur in writing recount paragraphs by ITP Markandeya Bali students in the second semester. Mastering tense is the most important thing for writing an English text. Especially in writing recount paragraphs that retell an event in the past. However, the results of previous research and theories found that many students still have difficulty in using the correct tense structure. In this study, the method used is a qualitative descriptive method involving 18 second semester students of the English Language Education Study Program at ITP Markandeya Bali. In this study, data collection techniques were through interviews, documentation, and document observation. Data were obtained from the results of student writing, namely writing recount paragraphs. The data was analyzed to find the types of tenses used by students, then the errors were classified based on (Dulay et.al., 1982) theory (misinformation, omission, addition and misodering). Based on the research results, the most frequently used tense by students when writing recount paragraphs was the simple past tense (used 136 times). Although students correctly selected the tense, errors were still found. Of the 179 tenses used, 60 errors were found. The types of errors found were misinformation (47.3%), misordering (25%), omission (16.7%), and final addition (11.1%). To overcome this problem, practice in grammar and correct writing is required. Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations conducted by researchers on students at SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta. The problem in this study is based on the phenomenon of low critical thinking skills of students and the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, especially platforms such as ChatGPT, in learning activities. Although Artificial Intelligence (AI) provides convenience in learning, there are concerns about the emergence of technological dependency that can reduce students' independent and analytical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on critical thinking skills. The research method used is a quantitative method with a survey approach involving students from class X Hospitality 2. Data collection techniques were carried out through questionnaires, observation, documentation, and interviews. The research sample consisted of 37 students of SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta who were selected using a simple random sampling technique. The results of the study show that when viewed from the Product Moment coefficient test, it produces "rxy" or "ro" of 0.641. While "rt" in the 5% significance table = 0.329 and a significance level of 1% = 0.424. Thus, it can be seen that "ro" > "rt" both at 5% and 1% significance. Therefore, based on these results, the Alternative Hypothesis (Ha) is accepted or approved and the Null Hypothesis (Ho) is rejected or not approved. Based on this study, it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on Critical Thinking of Students at SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta. Abstract

The background of this research is to determine the implementation of the independent curriculum in the learning process, as well as the obstacles faced, especially in the implementation of PKL. The school and Islamic Religious Education teachers are given the responsibility to ensure that students continue to carry out summative learning in the midst of the PKL implementation. The researcher has made a simple observation that at SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta there are still students who have difficulty in learning Islamic Religion during PKL. Therefore, the reason the researcher undertook this research was to find out how Islamic Religious Education teachers overcome problems in this regard, what obstacles and solutions the school and Islamic Religious Education teachers provide. The aim is to ensure that students continue to receive maximum Islamic Religious Education learning during PKL. The research method used in this study is descriptive qualitative. The research data sources are Islamic Religious Education teachers, the Deputy Curriculum of SMK Negeri 33 Jakarta, peer teachers, and students. The data analysis techniques used were data presentation and conclusion drawing. This study used a validity test using research data using source triangulation. Based on the results of the study, it shows that teachers and the school strive to ensure that the implementation of PKL does not interfere too much with Islamic Religious Education learning. With this, teachers arrange an Islamic Religious learning schedule by adjusting the work schedule during PKL with the Islamic Religious Education learning schedule, because it will not be the same as in-class learning, learning is done online and uses platforms such as zoom, PowerPoint and others. The obstacles experienced by Islamic Religious Education teachers and students, namely Islamic Religious Education learning. There was a decrease in grades after carrying out PKL, and due to being far from teacher supervision, there were several reported problems such as not praying obligatory. Therefore, the solution is, teachers must be able to get good time, as well as interesting learning. And provide input between teachers and students to improve grades. Abstract

The prohibition against consuming catfish in Glagah District, Lamongan Regency, is a local tradition that persists amid modernization and globalization. This tradition functions not merely as a dietary restriction but as a cultural symbol rich in historical, spiritual, and social meaning, reflecting the community’s collective identity and worldview. This article aims to examine the tradition through Clifford Geertz’s cultural symbolism approach, which views culture as a system of meaning woven by humans and expressed through symbols. The study is empirical in nature and employs qualitative methods. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with the caretaker of Boyopatih’s tomb, descendants of the tradition bearers, and younger community members, supported by secondary data from relevant literature. The findings reveal that the catfish taboo operates as a collective symbol reproduced through mythic narratives, cultural practices, and intergenerational oral transmission. Although the meaning of the symbol is shifting among younger generations, it continues to function as a tool of social control and a marker of cultural identity. This study contributes to a deeper understanding of how local symbols sustain traditional values and opens opportunities for further research on symbolic adaptation in times of social change. Abstract

ABSTRAK Pengadaan tanah untuk kepentingan umum merupakan salah satu bentuk perwujudan pembangunan nasional yang memerlukan kepastian hukum bagi semua pihak yang terlibat, baik pemerintah sebagai pelaksana maupun masyarakat sebagai pemilik hak atas tanah. Dalam konteks ini, Notaris memiliki peran penting sebagai pejabat umum yang berwenang membuat akta otentik serta menjamin aspek legalitas dalam setiap tahapan proses pengadaan tanah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk keterlibatan Notaris dalam proses pengadaan tanah untuk kepentingan umum, menelaah peran Notaris dalam menjamin kepastian hukum, serta mengidentifikasi kendala-kendala yang dihadapi Notaris dalam pelaksanaan tugasnya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah yuridis normatif dengan pendekatan peraturan perundang-undangan dan studi kasus. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Notaris terlibat dalam pembuatan dokumen hukum yang menjadi dasar peralihan hak atas tanah, seperti akta pernyataan, akta pelepasan hak, dan akta ganti kerugian. Melalui akta-akta tersebut, Notaris turut menjamin keabsahan, kejelasan subjek dan objek hukum, serta perlindungan hak-hak para pihak. Namun demikian, terdapat kendala dalam pelaksanaan tugas Notaris, antara lain kurangnya sinkronisasi data pertanahan, resistensi dari pemilik tanah, dan ketidaksesuaian regulasi teknis yang menghambat efektivitas kerja Notaris. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan penguatan peran Notaris melalui kebijakan hukum yang lebih terintegrasi dan dukungan koordinasi lintas lembaga. Kata Kunci: Notaris, Kepastian Hukum, Pengadaan Tanah, Kepentingan Umum, Akta Otentik ABSTRACT The acquisition of land for public interest constitutes a fundamental aspect of national development that necessitates legal certainty for all parties involved, including the government as the implementing body and the community as the holders of land rights. In this context, the notary plays a pivotal role as a public official authorized to draw up authentic deeds and ensure legal legitimacy throughout each phase of the land acquisition process. This study aims to examine the forms of notarial involvement in land acquisition for public purposes, analyze the notary’s role in guaranteeing legal certainty, and identify the obstacles encountered by notaries in the execution of their duties. The research employs a normative juridical method, utilizing statutory and case-study approaches. The findings indicate that notaries are involved in the preparation of legal instruments that serve as the legal basis for the transfer of land rights, including statements of release, deeds of waiver, and compensation deeds. Through such authentic instruments, notaries ensure the validity of legal acts, the clarity of legal subjects and objects, and the protection of parties’ legal rights. Nonetheless, various impediments are identified, such as the lack of synchronized land data, resistance from landowners, and inconsistencies within technical regulatory frameworks, all of which hinder notarial effectiveness. Hence, the enhancement of the notary's role necessitates a more integrated legal policy and strengthened inter-agency coordination. Abstract

Many students still feel uncomfortable when taking Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons, especially when asked to express their opinions or speak in front of the class. This condition makes it difficult for teachers to create an active, interesting, and fun learning atmosphere. This study aims to: (1) describe and analyze the teacher's strategy in improving students' self-confidence, and (2) describe and analyze the factors that influence students' self-confidence. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach, by collecting data from teachers and students in grades X and XI through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that methods such as group work, ice breaking, presentation tasks and support in the form of praise and motivation from teachers have a positive impact on building students' self-confidence. External factors such as encouragement from family, peers, and involvement in P5 activities are also significant supporters. In conclusion, students' self-confidence in PAI learning can be improved by combining interactive learning strategies and a positive learning environment that plays a significant role in developing students' self-confidence in PAI lessons. Abstract

This article aims to explore the integration between neuroscience and Islamic education in order to formulate a model of modern Islamic education that is more effective, scientific, and deeply rooted in spiritual values. This study employs a qualitative method with a library research approach, involving the examination of primary sources such as classical works of al-Ghazali and Ibn Sina, along with verses from the Qur’an and Hadith, which are analyzed alongside contemporary theories of neuroscience. Content analysis is used to identify key concepts, relevant neuroscientific principles applicable to learning processes, and to build an integrative foundation that bridges the two disciplines. A hermeneutic approach is also applied to interpret Islamic texts contextually. The findings indicate that this integration opens significant opportunities for developing a holistic and sustainable educational system. Core principles of neuroscience—such as neuroplasticity, emotional engagement in learning, multisensory instruction, and individualized learning—are highly relevant to Islamic educational concepts such as fitrah, ta’dib, tazkiyah, and tarbiyah. The intersection between these perspectives provides a robust conceptual foundation for curriculum development and learning strategies that are not only rational and empirical but also transcendental. Thus, this article offers a new framework for Islamic education aimed at nurturing intellectually excellent, spiritually mature, and socially adaptive generations.
