This research aims to observe the roles women in coastal Aceh play in bolstering family income and their own efforts to support children's education. This research was conducted in the field using a qualitative descriptive methodology. This research set out to learn how hard women in Keude Unga, Cebrek, and Gampong Meunasah Tuha work to improve their households' financial situations and reduce poverty in their communities. Participant observation, in-depth interviews with targeted informants, and document analysis were the three phases of the data collection procedure. The study's findings show that women from Aceh have a robust work ethic when it comes to supporting children's education. There is a multitude of activities within the public realm that serve as evidence of this strong commitment to labour. The contemporary understanding of work ethic necessitates an examination of the historical presence and circumstances of women. The manifestation of women's work ethic may be observed in the coastal communities of Keude Unga, Meunasah Tuha, and Cebrek, where the entire population faces the arduous task of improving their socioeconomic status and providing for their families.

Pendidikan Agama Islam dan Budi Pekerti (PAIBP), published by Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan in 2014 and 2017 book was the main source for high schools in Indonesia. But, a previous study found that this book contained some radicalism value meanwhile, the government tried so hard to eradicate it through a moderation campaign. However, this book still contains some themes of moderation in the discussions such as unity (ukhuwah), tolerance and democracy which would be the focused of this study. This research then aims to review some article of the Qur`an that contains moderation value to gain explanation, discussion and easy implementation. The framework of this study was ideology critics by Jurgen Habermas which consisted of two steps of research to find technical understanding and reflected understanding. The technical understanding was found by several field investigations using observation in all 9 public senior high schools in Rembang regency and interviews with the PAI teacher and also the students from all levels with snowballing sampling. This study found that technical understanding of this book stopped at normative-definitive comprehensions while the implementations could not be done because this book's explanations were too short. It was also influenced by the understanding of the teachers and the teaching style of the teachers that was very subjective. The only implantation founded was reading the qur’an verses by ilm tajwid. The reflective understanding was found by a series explorations of Qur’anic exegesis books and several Islamic classical literature. The results of this study shows that this book could be upgraded by (1) extended the meaning of ukhuwah (2) limitations of the practice of tolerance and (3) additions discourse of democracy in the field of sharia and contextualization of democracy in the context of Indonesia.

Since the pandemic, some universities can act swiftly to develop distance learning mechanisms, but others organize distance learning sporadically by allowing each lecturer to manage without standards. This research used a qualitative survey involving 66 students and 57 lecturers from various universities in Indonesia. It delivered dual perspectives between students and lecturers to improve previous research that did one perspective only. Most recognized the benefits of time and location flexibility when participating in distance learning but were dissatisfied with its implementation. During the pandemic, students were forced to explore independently by reading slides, listening to lecturers, watching videos, discussing in the online room, and doing independent assignments without any preparation. The pandemic also significantly changed the lecturers' teaching styles. They performed several variations in delivering material, increasing interaction in discussion forums, and evaluating the learning. Generally, distance learning without complete preparation since the pandemic was relatively good, as indicated by (1) lecturers' satisfaction with the course material delivery, (2) students' activeness according to the lecturer, and (3) learning outcomes achievement. These findings become insight for university stakeholders to enhance distance learning processes in the post-pandemic era since students and lecturers have felt its benefits but require many improvements.

Learning poetry serves a variety of purposes, including fostering fluency in spoken language, exposing students to a variety of teaching methods, exposing students to issues of global significance, and fostering an appreciation for different cultures. The purpose of this study is to identify effective strategies for helping high school students learn poetry using a case-method method. The research is a qualitative study. The data analysis procedure used in this study is an objective hermeneutic model which is divided into two analytical procedural models, namely (1) serial analysis and (2) detailed analysis. The participants were senior high school students from a private Palu high school in the 2022–2023 school year. For this study, thirty youngsters are taking part. First, students have trouble creating poetry, and second, they have trouble understanding poetry, both of which are significant issues in our research. The study's findings include (1) a case method model that helps students overcome their challenges with poetry writing, and (2) a case method model that helps students overcome their issues with poetry reading. Based on these results, it was determined that using a case method model to address the poetry-learning needs of students in class XI of senior high schools is highly effective in preparing them to produce poetry that adheres to established quality standards. Using proper poetry reading strategies, students are also adept at reading poetry accurately and appropriately.

Student engagement is a crucial component of learning, particularly when using Learning Management Systems (LMS) in educational institutions. The adoption of LMS is on the rise, and Senior High School in Demak is no exception, as it has implemented an LMS to facilitate technology-based learning. This study aims to investigate student engagement in the Learning Management System, specifically in English classes. The purpose of this study is to examine student engagement in the Learning Management System, with a focus on tenth-grade students who are adjusting to their new academic environment. The study's objective is to explore the extent to which students are engaged when using the LMS. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method with theoretical analysis derived from Fredricks et al. (2004), which categorizes engagement into behavioral, emotional, and cognitive domains. The study focuses on a sample of 36 students from the third social class. This descriptive qualitative research employed three instruments for collecting the data. Those are observation, questionnaire, and interview. The findings reveal that students exhibit a range of engagement levels when using the LMS, with most students showing positive engagement. However, there are areas where engagement could be improved. Additionally, the LMS provides students with several benefits that aid their daily learning. This research enriches our understanding of student engagement when using LMS, specifically in English classes. The study's results demonstrate that while most students exhibit positive engagement, there is room for improvement. Overall, this study highlights the importance of student engagement in LMS and suggests ways to enhance it.

This study aimed to determine which online learning platforms are suitable for Japanese language skills courses. By finding out the platforms, we were able to know which platforms were acceptable and unacceptable, as well as the primary factors and reasons behind them. Qualitative research was conducted to perform the study using open-ended questions and in-depth interviews. Interviews were conducted with first and second-year 132 Japanese language learners at one of the State University in Malang, Indonesia. Qualitative Data Analysis (QDA) software was used for data analysis to discuss, conclude and present in a structured manner. The results showed that the platforms used were acceptable because they were effective and efficient, easy to use, easy to understand the material, and in accordance with the learning character. Meanwhile, some platforms were declared unacceptable because trouble often occurred, less able to accept the material, difficult to interact with, challenging to use, and so on. The online platforms declared acceptable for Japanese language skills courses were Google Classroom, Google Form, Google Meet, Zoom Cloud Meeting, and WhatsApp Group (WAG). Especially for the Kaiwa and Choukai courses, apart from the platforms, Discord was also used. This study can be a reference for Japanese Language Instructure to choose the ideal platform to teach Japanese Language Skills in Online Classes.

Computational thinking has become a fundamental skill that all students must possess. Learning to program with Scratch is considered the most effective way to improve students’ computational thinking skills. Many studies prove its effectiveness in learning in elementary schools. However, no study discusses the systematic aggregation of the results of these studies, especially in the context of learning programming in elementary schools. Therefore, this meta-analysis aims to calculate the cumulative effect of twenty-two data sets obtained from fourteen relevant quantitative research results. The data collection procedure was carried out using PRISMA and analyzed using the JASP statistical test software. The calculation of effect size shows that the use of Scratch has significant effects on the computational thinking skills of elementary school students, both as a whole and in each of its dimensions. The dimensions of computational thinking skills that are most affected are computational concepts and practices. Differences also influence these skills in student age, where students aged 9-12 years are most affected by the use of Scratch in learning. However, it was not found that there was a significant effect of differences in the duration of learning programming using Scratch on computational thinking skills in all dimensions.
