Abstract

This study seeks to create and implement an IoT-based tank level monitoring system to rectify the inefficiencies associated with human sounding methods typically employed on ships.  Manual measuring methods can lead to protracted processes and human errors, thereby affecting data precision and operational safety.  This research addresses these restrictions by integrating an ESP32 microcontroller, HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor, and the Blynk IoT platform to develop an automated monitoring solution that transmits real-time water level data to a mobile dashboard.  The system was developed utilizing the Waterfall Model, which includes the phases of requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.  The proposed system exhibited great accuracy within a range of 2–400 cm and maintained stable Wi-Fi connectivity without signal loss, achieved through iterative development and expert validation.  The Blynk interface effectively provided real-time viewing of water height and volume.  An analysis of user input revealed a favourable reaction, with an average rating of 3.8 on a 5-point scale, indicating system usability and efficacy.  The results validate that the suggested IoT-based monitoring system provides a dependable, cost-effective, and scalable substitute for manual measurement, enhancing both operational efficiency and maritime technology education.

Abstract

This research aims to improve student learning outcomes in understanding poetry, namely through the Time Token Type method. The important role in improving students' ability to write poetry has become the main focus in replacing traditional teaching methods that have been going on for a long time. This research uses a classroom action research (PTK) approach, which includes descriptive analysis to motivate activity levels and achievement of learning outcomes by calculating average scores and percentages. In this research, the instruments used were observation sheets and tests. The learning process uses a time token type cooperative method which focuses more on understanding analysis and studying poetry. This method can also be applied by focusing on psychological aspects. The source of this research consisted of 30 students with 14 male students and 16 female students as part of the research sample. Based on the results of the research and discussion carried out, the researcher can conclude the following: it can be seen that the results of the implementation of classroom action (PTK) in cycle I are considered not successful and not in accordance with what was expected, that is, they have not reached the maximum level of learning completeness, so Efforts were made to improve learning in the second cycle and after the improvement efforts were made in this research, the results were significant changes, namely students' abilities were increasing, they were better at learning using the Time Token Type method. Based on the results of research in the pre-cycle, they got a percentage score of 36.66%, then learning In cycle I there was a change, namely getting a percentage score of 63.33% and in cycle II again there was a very significant increase, namely to 83.33%. The following can be described as several improvements in learning using the Time Token Type cooperative learning method as follows: 1). Students have a higher interest in reading poetry. 2). students' ability to write poetry becomes higher. 3). The interactive and communicative influence in learning on students becomes higher. 4). It is hoped that students' ability to create examples of poetry will increase, in this way it is hoped that this research will become literature or a reference to encourage experts in making policies to improve the quality of student learning, with several alternative learning models that refer to educational factors, namely cognitive, affective and psychomotor, especially the emphasis on student attitudes and behavior values, will be better

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of incentives and work facilities onwork motivation and its impact on employee performance at PT. KLMNin Jakarta. The approach used is quantitative with data collectionthrough questionnaires. The research sample was 127 respondentsselected using census techniques. Data analysis was carried out usingthe Structural Equation Model (SEM) method based on Partial LeastSquare (PLS) with the help of SmartPLS software version 3.2.9. Theresults of the study indicate that incentives, work facilities, and workmotivation directly have a positive and significant effect on employeeperformance. In addition, the provision of incentives and work facilitiesalso have a positive and significant effect on employee performanceindirectly through work motivation as an intervening variable

Abstract

The research aims to find out the attractiveness of Ovo so that people use Ovo more than other digital wallets in payment transactions. The research uses a qualitative method, with triangulation of data sources, namely observation, interviews and documentation. Informants in the research are people who have knowledge in the topic under study. Data analysis is in the form of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results showed that in the midst of a lot of competition, Ovo is aggressively conducting sales promotions in the form of cashback and vouchers so that consumers feel they get more benefits by using Ovo compared to other digital wallets. Ovo is superior because it has an easy feature in topping up the balance without additional administration fees that other digital wallets do not have. In addition, the attraction of Ovo is that it has a transfer feature to banks without additional administration fees. This is a favourite feature of Ovo users themselves. Currently, hundreds of merchants have partnered with Ovo. Ovo offers convenience in its features, making it easier for consumers to carry out their activities. More practical, faster and easier transactions. The presence of Ovo provides benefits such as shortening payment time, no need to carry or store large amounts of cash.

Abstract

Natural User Interface (NUI) is a latest development in the world of human-computer interaction can applied to immersive digital technology and realized in virtual reality. This virtual reality (VR) is usually accessed using a VR headset, so there are several companies that develop and improve VR headsets to facilitate interaction between humans and computers. One of the VR headsets available for beginners and professionals is the Meta Quest 2 which can be used with two interaction methods, namely, controllers and hand gesture. This study was conducted to compare the usability and immersivity of the two interaction methods on the Meta Quest 2 VR headset. This test was conducted at a Vocational High School in Malang, one of the city in Jawa Timur, in the Visual Communication Design Departement who had never used a VR headset before. There are two methods used, namely, Usability Testing to measure usability and the Igroup Presence Questionnaire (IPQ) method is used to measure immersivity. The applications used in this study are the Waltz of The Wizard Game, The Walking Dead Game: Saints & Sinners and Virtual Reality-Based Applications as Educational Media for Cultural Heritage Buildings in Malang City. The results of the usability and immersiveness tests show that in the Waltz of The Wizard game, it gets a high coefficient value on hand gestures, which is 0.136 and 0.096 on the controller. While in the game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners, it gets a high coefficient value on the controller, which is 0.398 and 0.171 on hand gestures. And in the Cultural Heritage Application, it gets a high coefficient value on hand gestures, which is 0.065 and 0.055 on the controller. From the coefficient values, usability and immersivity in the use of controllers are higher in action genre applications, for example the game The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners. While in hand gestures, usability and immersivity are high when using adventure genre applications, for example the Waltz of The Wizard game and exploration, for example the Cultural Heritage Application game. This means that the interaction method and type of application used determine the level of usability and immersivity

Abstract

The work of calculating ship fuel for machinists can now be changed to automatic in the Android application . With this, work will be faster and more accurate. The aim of the research is to find out how to make applications and how the Android-based fuel calculation system works on MVs. Pacific Bulk. The method used is research and development and Bord and Gall development with 10 steps. The research results show that the use of Android applications in calculating fuel on MV. Pacific Bulk is very useful for making it easier and faster for machinists to calculate ship fuel. The design process for the Android-based fuel calculation application on the MV Pacific Bulk Ship was carried out using Android Studio as an Integrated Development Environment (IDE). It can be operated using an Android cellphone which will make it easier to calculate the remaining fuel on the MV. Pacific Bulk Ship

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of compensation (X1), work environment (X2), and work interest (X3) on work motivation (Y) in PT Bank Central Asia (BCA) employees. The method used in this research is a quantitative method. Data was collected through a questionnaire which was measured using a Likert scale diagram. The sampling method used a purposive sampling technique totaling 70 respondents. This research is quantitative research using multiple linear analysis with the data analysis tool SPSS 23.The results of this research state that compensation has no effect on work motivation, the work environment has an effect on work motivation, and work interest has no effect on work motivation

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the use of Instagram as a promotional medium. A qualitative research methodology with a case study approach was adopted, and Cafe XYZ in Jakarta was chosen as the research object. The findings shed light on the effectiveness of using Instagram for marketing purposes. Data collection comprised interviews, observation, and documentation from a range of participants, including owners, customers, employees, and followers of Cafe XYZ. The analysis investigated the factors that motivate Cafe to promote its products on Instagram. Utilizing customer reviews and advertising menus for sale are key strategies. The effectiveness of Instagram for promotion stems from its universal social media usage across all age groups. Additionally, its advanced features allow users to easily search for locations and explore products via hashtags (#).

Abstract

The main aim of this research was to evaluate the effectiveness of government intervention in addressing the issue of Internet-based fake news, which poses a significant threat to national security. The study utilized statistical methods and employed a survey approach to gather data from a sample population. Simple random sampling was used as the sampling technique, and interviews were conducted with selected individuals who had relevant insights from organizations such as the national police, BSSN, Kemenkominfo, and BIN. The collected data was analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) model with the assistance of the WarpPLS package.The findings of the study indicated a strong correlation between effective governance in combating the spread of fake news and the enhancement of national resilience. This implies that implementing robust and strategic governance practices is crucial for fostering a resilient nation. The study emphasizes the importance of government intervention in countering Internet-based fake news to protect national security. By addressing this issue effectively, governments can contribute to the overall resilience of the nation. The research highlights the significance of proactive measures and informed decision-making in tackling the challenges posed by fake news in the digital era
