Abstract

This paper examines the use of a Restricted Boltzmann Machine (RBM) to provide personalized product recommendations on a niche coffee e-commerce platform facing cold-start conditions. We train RBM variants on a binary transaction matrix derived from 100 simulated user transactions and evaluate four hidden-unit configurations (3, 5, 10, 15) using 5-fold cross-validation. Models were trained with Contrastive Divergence (CD-1) and assessed primarily by Mean Squared Error (MSE) for reconstruction fidelity, complemented by ranking metrics (Precision@3, NDCG@3). The 10-hidden-unit configuration achieved the best balance of reconstruction and ranking performance, with an average test MSE ? 0.0454, outperforming popular-item (MSE: 0.0802) and random (MSE: 0.0760) baselines. While the RBM demonstrates strong capability in modeling latent user preferences under sparse data, ranking metrics expose limitations when predicting exact top-N items in extremely sparse cases. The study highlights practical implications for early-stage niche marketplaces and suggests integrating content signals or hybridization to further improve top-N recommendation quality.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of artificial intelligence (AI)-based marketing, the quality of human resources (HR) operating it, and the effectiveness of the marketplace platform on increasing the number of consumers. In the digital era, AI is increasingly used in marketing strategies to personalize customer experiences, increase efficiency, and reach target markets more accurately. However, the role of HR operating AI technology is also crucial in determining the success of implementing this strategy. This study uses a quantitative method with an approach (SEM-PLS) to test the causal relationship between these variables. The research sample consists of business actors on marketplace platforms and online shops that use AI technology in their marketing. The results of the study indicate that AI-based online marketing does not have a significant influence on marketplace development, with a t-statistic value of 1.359 which is smaller than the t table of 1.983 and a P-value of 0.175 which is greater than 0.05. This indicates that even though AI is applied in marketing, its impact on marketplace development is still limited. On the other hand, the quality of human resources also does not have a significant effect on the marketplace, as indicated by the same t-statistic value, which is 1.359, which is smaller than the t table and the P-value exceeding the significance limit of 0.05. This indicates that the quality of human resources in marketplace organizations may need to be focused more on the technological aspect to support better development. On the other hand, the increase in consumers is proven to have a positive and significant effect on the development of the marketplace, with a t-statistic value of 3.212 which is greater than the t table of 1.983 and a P-value of 0.001 which is smaller than 0.05. This finding indicates that the increasing number of consumers can be a key factor for the success of the marketplace in Indonesia.

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has fundamentally reshaped the auditing profession by enhancing efficiency, analytical precision, and audit quality. This study aims to explore auditors’ behavioral responses toward AI adoption, emphasizing individual, organizational, and ethical dimensions. Using a systematic literature review approach of scholarly articles published between 2020 and 2025, the paper synthesizes findings from contemporary research focusing on the drivers, impacts, and governance challenges of AI implementation in auditing. The results show that willingness to learn, performance expectancy, and AI readiness are the most influential individual factors determining auditors’ intention to adopt AI, while top management support and technological infrastructure play key organizational roles. AI-based systems significantly improve anomaly detection accuracy and operational efficiency; however, algorithmic bias, limited transparency, and accountability gaps remain critical ethical concerns. The study also highlights that AI cannot replace human professional judgment—ethical reasoning, contextual interpretation, and moral accountability must remain central to the audit process. Future auditors are expected to evolve from compliance examiners to strategic advisors equipped with multidisciplinary competencies in data analytics, digital governance, and ethics. Therefore, the synergy between human insight and AI-driven analytics is essential for ensuring trustworthy, transparent, and sustainable audit practices in the digital era.

Abstract

This study investigates how Customer Relationship Orientation (CRO) and Digital Banking Orientation (DBO) affect Marketing Performance (MP) through the mediating role of Marketing Research and Development Cooperation (MRDC) at Bank BJB. The population consisted of 1,762 marketing and R&D employees in Indonesia, with 316 respondents selected using proportional random sampling. Data were analyzed with Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results show that both CRO and DBO significantly influence MRDC, which in turn mediates their effect on MP. Among the dimensions, Strategic Digital Commitment had the strongest contribution within DBO, while the technology aspect was dominant in CRO. These findings highlight the critical role of marketing–R&D collaboration and digital integration to increase marketing performance. The study offers practical implications for managers to strengthen digital-based strategies, improve product/service innovation, and enhance customer engagement. It also provides theoretical contributions by linking relationship orientation, digital orientation, and R&D cooperation in the banking sector, and also giving suggestion on directions for future research.
