Abstract

Mathematics learning is often perceived by students as a difficult and boring subject. This perception arises from the lack of teacher creativity in using innovative learning media, leading to low student interest and engagement in the learning process. This condition underscores the importance of developing instructional media that foster an interactive, enjoyable learning environment. This study aims to develop a monopoly-based learning media for teaching fractions in fourth-grade mathematics and to determine its feasibility. The research method employed was Research and Development using the ADDIE development model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The validation results showed that the monopoly learning media achieved a feasibility score of 93.8% from material experts and 92.3% from media experts, indicating that the media is highly feasible for classroom implementation. These findings indicate that monopoly-based learning media play an important role in increasing students’ interest in learning and creating a more interactive and enjoyable mathematics learning experience, particularly in learning fractions.

Abstract

The problem in this research is students' low critical thinking skills in the Pancasila Education subject at SD Negeri 1 Talang Padang. This study aims to determine the effect of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model assisted by Wordwall media on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students at SD Negeri 1 Talang Padang. The research method used is a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study consisted of all fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Talang Padang, totaling 80 individuals, while the sample was selected using a purposive sampling technique, totaling 53 students. Data collection was carried out using both test and non-test techniques, and the data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The results show a significant effect of applying the CTL model, assisted by Wordwall media, on students' critical thinking skills. Thus, it can be concluded that the CTL model, assisted by Wordwall media, improves the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade students in the Pancasila Education subject at SD Negeri 1 Talang Padang during the 2025/2026 Academic Year.

Abstract

Insha’ (Arabic writing) instruction is often dominated by conventional approaches that limit opportunities for developing students' critical thinking. This study aims to examine the implementation of the flipped learning strategy, the unfolding of student activities, and its contribution to the development of critical thinking skills. The research employs a qualitative field approach involving eleventh-grade students and an Arabic teacher at State Islamic Senior High School of Magetan. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and were analyzed through an interactive process of data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that flipped learning is systematically implemented by separating pre-class and in-class activities. Students engage with learning materials before class, allowing classroom time to be utilized for discussion, analysis, and writing development. This approach encourages active participation, collaboration, and the ability to articulate and refine ideas. Substantively, the strategy enhances critical thinking, as evidenced by students' abilities to analyze topics, construct arguments, and produce more structured writing. These findings suggest that flipped learning not only reshapes instructional practices but also strengthens higher-order thinking skills, making it a relevant approach for Arabic language instruction, particularly in Insha’ learning.

Abstract

The transformation of teaching methods from conventional to interactive has become a critical issue in improving the quality of learning in elementary schools, particularly in the context of 21st-century learning demands and the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to analyze the process of transforming teaching methods and their impact on student participation and understanding. The study employed a qualitative case study design at SD NU Sekaran, involving the principal, teachers, students, and educational staff as informants. Data collection techniques included observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, with data analysis conducted through reduction, presentation, and drawing of conclusions. The results indicate that instruction is still dominated by conventional methods; however, the implementation of interactive methods—such as group discussions and visual media—significantly enhances student engagement and understanding. Supporting factors include a conducive school environment and the principal's support, while barriers include limited facilities and teachers’ readiness. Thus, interactive learning has been shown to have great potential for improving the quality of the learning process and outcomes, and therefore needs to be developed systematically and sustainably.

Abstract

Low learning outcomes in Indonesia at the elementary school level remain a problem that requires attention. A similar condition was found among fourth-grade students at MIMA 7 Labuhan Ratu Bandar Lampung, where only 40% met the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). This study aims to examine the effect of Problem-Based Learning assisted by E-LKPD, based on Lampung local wisdom, on Indonesian language learning outcomes in the material on identifying problems experienced by characters in the story. The learning outcomes measured include the cognitive domain of the revised Bloom's Taxonomy at levels C1-C5. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the Non-equivalent Control Group Design type. The study sample consisted of 38 students who completed the pretest and posttest, including 20 in the experimental class and 18 in the control class. Data were collected using a learning outcome test and analyzed with an independent sample t-test. The results showed a significance value of 0.022 <0.05, which indicates a significant difference in learning outcomes between the two groups. The posttest average of the experimental class (M= 83.75; SD= 9.58) was higher than that of the control class (M= 76.39; SD= 9.36). Cohen's d value of 0.77 indicates a moderate effect. Thus, PBL assisted by E-LKPD based on local wisdom effectively improves the Indonesian language learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the context of this study.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low conceptual understanding of food webs among fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Siraman in IPAS learning. This study aimed to determine the improvement of students’ conceptual understanding of IPAS through the use of Augmented Reality (AR)-assisted worksheets (LKPD). The research used a quantitative approach with a Pre-Experimental Design using a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population consisted of 18 students, and all students were selected as the sample through a saturated sampling technique. Data collection techniques included tests in the form of conceptual understanding pretest and posttest questions, as well as non-test techniques through observation and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that students’ IPAS conceptual understanding improved after the implementation of AR-assisted LKPD. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test showed that the Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value was 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. This result showed a significant difference between students’ pretest and posttest scores in IPAS conceptual understanding. Therefore, the use of Augmented Reality (AR)-assisted LKPD enhanced fifth-grade students' conceptual understanding at SD Negeri 1 Siraman in the 2025/2026 academic year.
