Abstract

This study aims to examine the quality of interactive e-modules based on articulate storyline to improve the evidence-based reasoning abilities of junior high school students in learning natural sciences. The type of this research is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model. The stage of e-module development consist of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The data collection techniques include interviews, observation, and documentation. The data from student response questionnaires and observation of learning implementation were analyzed with percentage analysis. The data of evidence-based reasoning ability were analyzed with n-gain analysis. The results showed that the validity of the interactive e-module was 94.25%, with a very valid category. Student response to interactive e-modules was 81.88% with positive criteria, and the implementation of learning using interactive e-modules was 90% with perfect types. The n-gain analysis show that learning using interactive e-modules can increase evidence-based reasoning abilities by 0.31 in the moderate category.

Abstract

One of the abilities that students should be masters of is the capacity for mathematical reasoning. The ability of good mathematical reasoning will really help them in resolving common mathematical problems. Another aspect that affects student’s ability to solve problems requiring mathematical reasoning is learning style. The study uses  a method that is qualitative with the type of case study. The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of mathematical reasoning of Class VIII A at Srengat 3 Junior High School to a visual learning style in solving mathematical problems on the material algebraic form. The results showed that students with visual learning styles are able to meet 4 indicators of the ability of mathematical reasoning, which is sense-making, conjecturing, convincing, and generalising.

Abstract

English reading can be challenging for language learners, as they often require a high level of comprehension and critical thinking skills. Developing a strategy for identifying the main idea of each paragraph can be a helpful tool for improving reading proficiency. This study investigated the effectiveness of teaching students to identify the main idea of each paragraph in order to empower their English reading skills. The study employed an experiment with a pre and post-test design, with 22 students from St. Paul Minor Seminary participating in the study. The pre and post-test design was used to measure the effectiveness of the intervention. The pre and post test results were analyzed with a dependent sample t-Test to determine if there was a significant improvement or not. The study found that identifying the main idea can be helpful in improving reading comprehension and motivation, as the students are better able to understand the plot. Overall, the study provided valuable insights into the use of specific strategies for enhancing reading skills in language learners.

Abstract

The guided discovery and guided discovery learning models make students more active and discover things during class learning. This research aims to find out how the guided discovery learning model and the guided discovery model differ on cognitive mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is quantitative research using experimental methods. The sample in this study was the VA and VB classes at SD Xaverius 4 Palembang totaling 54 people through simple random sampling. Data collection techniques used in research are interviews, tests and documentation. The data analysis techniques used are validity test, reliability test, data normality test, homogeneity test, and independent sample t-test. The results of the research show that there are differences in cognitive learning outcomes using the guided discovery learning model and the guided discovery model on the cognitive mathematics learning outcomes of class V students at SD Xaverius 4 Palembang. The results of this research can be used in the world of education in terms of the use of learning models during the mathematics learning process

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model Project Based Learning terhadap sikap tanggung jawab dan kerja sama siswa kelas 2C SDIT Alam Nurul Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode uji coba (eksperimen) dengan model one group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SDIT Alam Nurul Islam, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta dengan populasi 28 siswa kelas 2C SDIT Alam Nurul Islam. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dengan observasi dan observasi. Sedangkan uji hipotesis dilakukan dengan uji wilcoxon. Dari hasil uji hipotesis diketahui bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara nilai pretest dan posttest, baik variabel tanggung jawab maupun kerja sama. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil peningkatan nilai rata-rata pretest-posttest untuk variabel tanggung jawab sebesar 4,68 poin dan kerja sama 6,68 poin. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa “terdapat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning terhadap sikap tanggung jawab dan kerja sama siswa kelas 2C SDIT Alam Nurul Islam”.

Abstract

This research and development aims to determine: 1) the development of media for making ribbon embroidery using video, 2) the feasibility of media for making ribbon embroidery using video, and 3) students' responses to the media for making ribbon embroidery using video. The development model used in this research uses the Four-D model which consists of 5 stages, namely define, design, development and disseminate. The results of this research and development show that the feasibility level of media experts is 97.29% (very feasible) and material experts are 98.90% (very feasible). The small scale trial got a result of 91.66% (strongly agree) and the limited scale trial got a percentage of 85.17% (strongly agree).

Abstract

This research aims to: 1) describe students' mathematical literacy abilities in block material towards the development of character education towards the Pancasil Student Profile. 2) Describe the factors that influence students' mathematical literacy skills in block material towards the development of educational character towards the Pancasil Student Profile. This research method is qualitative. The subjects in this research were students of class VII-1, class VII-2, class VII-3 at SMP Negeri 2 Sungguminasa. Data collection instruments used learning independence questionnaires, mathematical literacy ability tests, and interview sheets. The data analysis used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis. namely, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that 1) Students' mathematical literacy skills towards developing high learning character education have an average of 75.45 (high category). Most students are not capable at the reasoning and argumentation stage. 2) students' mathematical literacy skills towards developing character education who are currently studying have an average of 60.32 (medium category), most of whom are unable to design strategies to solve problems. 3) students' mathematical literacy skills towards the development of low learning character education have an average of 39.08 (low category) most of them are not capable at the mathematics stage. 4) factors that influence mathematical literacy skills on the development of learning character education in block material are generally influenced by internal factors, namely factors from the students themselves, namely the lack of ability to understand, accept, or digest the subject matter, students have difficulty in making strategies in solving problems using good in using the formula that will be used, operating rules, does not provide the correct steps in answering the question.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze learning strategies in the subjects of creative products and entrepreneurship in the fashion sector which include: 1) Learning planning, 2) Learning implementation and 3) Evaluation of learning outcomes. This study used the qualitative method with the research subjects of the head of the department, supervisory teachers and class XII fashion design students at SMK Negeri 4 Yogyakarta. Data collection methods include: interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the data is done by triangulation techniques, triangulation of sources and time. Data analysis techniques include: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing and verification. The results showed that: 1) Planning for learning creative and entrepreneurial products available in the form of lesson plans, syllabi, learning media and teaching materials. 2) The implementation of creative and entrepreneurial product learning includes several things, namely: at the beginning of learning the teacher gives lighter questions; The learning model used is project-based learning with a cooperative learning strategy; the learning method is to explain the material with lecture methods, groups and peer tutors; learning media using PowerPoint and handouts; In the closing activity, the teacher conveyed conclusions related to the material that had been explained. 3) Evaluation of creative and entrepreneurial product learning outcomes is carried out throughout learning at each stage of the product manufacturing process and the form of evaluation assessment includes cognitive, affective and psychomotor assessment

Abstract

In reality, teachers are faced with a diversity of student characteristics, one of which is related to different cognitive abilities. The aim of this research is to determine the successful learning outcomes of all students through the implementation of the Hamamun method "Only Forward and Backward". This research method uses a case study approach in the form of a one shot case study. The subjects in this research were class VI students at SD Negeri Demakijo 2. The research was carried out by providing action in the form of applying the Hamamun method and after that observation, interviews and documentation of student learning outcomes were carried out. The steps for using the Hamamun method include: planning, action and reflection carried out in blended learning. The research results showed that there was an increase in student learning outcomes from the initial conditions and after implementing the Hamamun Method. In the initial conditions, students experienced limitations in understanding the arithmetic operations of adding and subtracting integers. By using the Hamamun method, the achievement of learning completion reaches 100%, with the average final score of class VI students being 90.96 and the average achievement being 78.00. This proves that the Hamamun method is an alternative learning method to meet the diversity of students, especially the diversity of different cognitive abilities.

Abstract

The unpreparedness of teacher in inclusive school programs in schools can be seen from teachers are not to focus on students, the impact of this condition makes slow learners’ students less motivated in their learning. This research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach, using case studies located at UPT SMPN 7 Pasuruan, the data in this research are interview, observation, and documentation. Primary data sources were obtained from the Deputy Head of Curriculum Affairs, representative of teachers’ study, and slow learners’ students. The result of research with two research objectives, namely the learning motivation of slow learners’ students, the role and emotional closeness of teachers can foster the learning motivation of slow learners’ students. Teachers’ emotional closeness by making slow learner students friends with whom they can discuss makes students have self-confidence, teachers provide learning guidance with sincerity, so that the closeness provided is of good quality and simple caring can foster empathy and sympathy.
