Abstract

Early physical activity habit plays an important role in building a healthy lifestyle and the degree of fitness in the future. This research was aimed at finding out the level of physical activity of high school students in West Java. The result of the study could be used as a reference and benchmark for policy making in sports. The method used in this study was random sampling, spread in 5 cities / districts in West Java. The data of the level of physical activity were obtained from the IPAQ questionnaire (International Physical Activity Questionnaire). The data of the questionnaire showed that the average level of physical activity was in the high category, with metabolic equivalent values (METs) 1520.80 ± 1444.50. The highest level of physical activity was in Tasikmalaya City, while the lowest was in Kuningan District. However, among the five cities, there was no significant difference. The conclusion is that the physical activity level of West Java high school students is high. However, it should be noted that they also have a fairly high duration of sitting and game playing habits. AbstrakKebiasaan untuk beraktivitas fisik sejak dini berperan penting dalam membangun gaya hidup yang sehat serta derajat kebugaran di kemudian hari. Riset ini berupaya untuk mengetahui sebarapa besar tingkat aktivitas fisik siswa SMA di Jawa Barat, yang pada akhirnya dijadikan acuan dan tolak ukur dalam pembuatan kebijakan dilingkungan olahraga. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini merupana random sampling, tersebar di 5 kota/kab yang ada di Jawa Barat. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Data tingkat aktivitas fisik didapatkan dari kuesnioner IPAQ (International Physical Activity Questionnaire). Hasil dari kuesioner tersebut rata-rata tingkat aktivitas fisik dalam kategori tinggi, dengan nilai metabolic equivalent (METs) 3520.2 (±2774.3). Paling tinggi tingkat aktivitas fisik di Kota Tasikmalaya, sedangkan paling rendah ada di Kabupaten Kuningan. Namun dari kelima kota tersebut tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Kesimpulannya kategori tingkat aktivitas fisik siswa SMA Jawa Barat tinggi, namun ada beberapa catatan karena mereka memiliki durasi duduk yang cukup tinggi serta kebiasaan bermain permainan daring yang terlalu sering.

Abstract

Technology has become an inseparable part in this millennial era. The application of sport sciene in the world of sports is very helpful in developing athlete potential. This study aims to determine the service skills of Junior Field Tennis athletes. This research is a descriptive study involving 30 junior athletes (19 male and 11 female). In this study, service skills were measured using the Collang Smart Tennis Racket Sensor Tracker Motion Analyzer to determine the speed of the ball hit. Service punch data is directly connected to the application on the smartphone which is then analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques. The results showed that the average speed of junior athletes' service punches was in the moderate category. An appropriate service training model is needed in order to increase the speed of service punches.AbstrakTeknologi sudah menjadi bagian yang tak terpisahkan di era milenial ini. Penerapan sport sciene dalam dunia olahraga sangat membantu dalam mengembangkan potensi atlet. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keterampilan servis pada atlet Junior Tenis Lapangan. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan melibatkan 30 atlet junior (19 laki-laki dan 11 perempuan). Pada penelitian ini, keretampilan servis diukur dengan menggunakan alat Collang Smart Tennis Racket Sensor Tracker Motion Analyzer untuk mengetahui kecepatan bola hasil pukulan. Data hasil pukulan servis langsung terhubung dengan aplikasi pada smartphone yang kemudian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata hasil kecepatan pukulan servis atlet junior berada pada kategori cukup. Diperlukan model latihan servis yang tepat agar dapat meningkatkan kecepatan hasil pukulan servis.

Abstract

Physical education is one of the subjects at schools that can make a significant contribution to students’ interpersonal aspect and social. One of the main aspects in developing a change in attitude is self-disclosure and self-awareness. The purpose of this study was to find out how influential the cooperative learning intentionally structuring model on self-disclosure and self-awareness in Physical Education learning at school. The method used in this study was an experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group research design. The sample in this study were 60 students of class 10 (X) from SMK N 12 Bandung divided into 2 groups by using purposive sampling techniques. The instrument used to measure self-disclosure was ESDS (emotional self disclosure scale). Meanwhile, to measure self-awarness, the self awareness scale was used. Data analysis process used SPSS version 21 with Paired Sample T-Test for hypothesis testing. The results of the analysis and calculation of the data revealed that there were significant changes between the cooperative learning intentionally structuring learning model group and the control group. It showed that giving an explanation, or intentionally structuring, to the experimental group during physical education learning could affect the increase in the experimental group far above the control group. AbstrakPendidikan jasmani merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran di sekolah yang dapat memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap siswa antar pribadi dan pembangunan social ). Salah satu yang utama dari pengembangan perubahan sikap yaitu keterbukaan diri dan kesadaran diri. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa berpengaruh model pembelarajan cooperative learning intentionaly structuring terhadap keterbukaan diri dan kesadaran diri  dalam pembelajaran penjas di sekolah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa kelas 10 (X) di SMK N 12 Bandung yang di bagi kedalam 2 kelompok dengan mengunakan tehnik purposive sampling. Instrument yang digunakan menggunakan Instrument emotional self disclosure scale (ESDS) dan Instrument self awareness scale. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 21 dengan pengujian hipotesis mengunakan Paired Sample T-Test. Hasil analisis dan perhitungan data mengungkapkan bahwa terdapat perubahan yang signifikan antara kedua kelompok model pembelajran cooperative learning intensionaly structuring dan kelompok control, dengan memberi penjelasan atau intentionally structuring kelompok eksperimen saat pembelajaran pendidikan jasmani sehingga mendapat peningkatan jauh di atas kelompok control.

Abstract

The decline in the culture of cooperation has an impact on the decrease of the student learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to see the increase of critical thinking skill and cooperation in Physical Education and Health students through Problem Based Learning Model in Physical Education learning. The method used in this study was experimental method with the Randomize Pre-test and Post-test Control Group Design. The sampling technique in this study was cluster random sampling. The samples of this study were divided into two classes, namely experimental group and control group. The instrument used to measure cooperation was a questionnaire, while learning outcomes were measured by tests. The analysis of this study used SPSS 22 with t-test. This study concludes that the Problem Base Learning model is able to improve the cooperation among the students and also significantly improves learning outcomes. AbstrakMenurunnya budaya kerjasama yang juga berdampak kepada penurunan hasil belajar mahasiswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis dan Kerjasama mahasiswa Penjaskesrek melalui model Problem Base Learning pada pembelajaran  pendidikan  jasmani.  Metode  yang  digunakan  dalam  penelitian  ini  adalah metode  eksperimen  dengan  Desain  dalam  penelitian  ini  adalah  Randomize  Pretest  and Posttest Control Group Design. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini di ambil secara Cluster Random Sampling, maka sampel pada penlitian ini menjadi dua kelas yaitu kelompok eksperimen kelas 6F dan kelas 6E menjadi kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur kerjasama dengan menggunakan anket dan hasil belajar dengan tes. Analisis penelitian ini menggunakan SPSS 22 dengan uji t. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa model Problem Base Learning   mampu meningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama pada mahasiswa dan juga meningkatkan hasil belajar yang cukup signifikan.

Abstract

This study was basically aimed at meeting the needs of physical Education teachers in conducting the assessment process of the psychomotor aspects, thus this research focused on testing the validity of a basic movement skill test instrument in ball games specifically for students aged 13-15 years. Quantitative descriptive method was used in this study and carried out on 25 junior high school students grade VII in Cimahi city. The instrument developed was the basic movement skill test instrument of the ball game consisting of skill for passing, service up, service down, chest passing, bounding passing (boundpass), overhead passing, overhead dribbling, inner leg passing, outer foot passing, dorsal passing, and dribbling. The validity method used was related validity criteria by using composite scores. The trial results obtained from students were analysed by using the Pearson product moment technique. The results of the validity analysis showed that the value of the validity coefficient criteria was ranging from rxy = 0.84 to 0.96 for the basic movement skill instrument of volleyball, rxy = 0.95 to 0.97 for the basic movement skill of the soccer game, and rxy = 0, 93 – 0.97 for the basic movement skill instrument of basketball games. Therefore, the study concludes that the basic movement skill instrument of ball games can be used to assess the ability of basic movement skills of junior high school students. AbstrakPenelitian ini pada dasarnya bertujuan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan guru PJOK dalam melakukan proses penilaian pada aspek psikomotor maka dari itu penelitian ini berfokus pada pengujian validitas sebuah instrument tes keterampilan gerak dasar pada permainan bola besar khusus untuk siswa dengan rentang usia 13-15 tahun. Metode deskriprif kuantitatif yang digunakan pada penelitian ini dan dilakukan pada siswa sekolah menengah pertama kelas VII di kota cimahi sebanyak 25 orang. Instrument yang dikembangkan yaitu instrument tes keterampilan gerak dasar permainan bola besar  terdiri dari keterampilan gerak passing atas, passing bawah, service atas, service bawah, passing dada, passing pantul, passing atas kepala, menggiring bola, passing kaki bagian dalam, passing kaki bagian luar, passing bagian punggung kaki, dan menggiring bola. Adapun tahapan yang dilakukan yaitu dengan menguji validitas dengan analisis person Product Moment menggunakan composite score dan menguji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan uji tes tes retest. Skor hasil uji coba yang diperoleh dari siswa dikorelasikan dengan menggunakan teknik pearson product moment. Hasil analisis validitas diperoleh nilai koefisien validitas kriteria terentang antara rxy = 0,84 – 0,96 untuk instrument keterampilan gerak dasar permainan bola voli, rxy = 0,95 – 0,97 untuk instrument keterampilan gerak dasar permainan sepak bola dan rxy = 0,93 – 0,97 untuk instrument keterampilan gerak dasar permainan bola basket. Maka dari itu kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu instrument keterampilan gerak dasar permainan bola dapat dipergunakan untuk menilai kemampuan keterampilan gerak dasar siswa sekolah menengah pertama.

Abstract

This study was aimed at recognizing the effect of short-term adventure activities on decreasing college students’ stress. The programs administered in this study were expected to be able to help the college students in managing and decreasing their level of stress. The level of stress might affect their live, for instance affecting their study. This study was an experimental research with one-group pre-test post-test design. The population of this study were 83 college students taking the outdoor and recreation program. The program was conducted within 6 months; once in a week with 2 hours per session. The instruments used in this study were Perceived Stress Scale, with reliability 0,871, and activities including hiking, outbound, and swimming. The data were gathered in 10 meetings that were processed by SPSS 20. The result showed that there was a significant effect of short-term adventure activities on decreasing college students’ stress. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dampak dari aktivitas petualangan jangka pendek terhadap pengurangan stress mahasiswa. Program penelitian ini diharapakan dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam mengurangi tingkat stress. Tingkat stress pada mahasiswa akan menentukan jalannya kehidupan mahasiswa. Salah satunya pada penyelesaian studi. Metode penelitian eksperimen digunakan dengan desain pretest and posttest group design. Populasi penelitian ini mahasiswa yang mengikuti program rekeasi dan outdoor dengan partisipan sebanyak 83 orang. Program dilakukan selama enam bulan, dilakukan seminggu sekali selama 2 jam.  Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini Perceived Stress Scale, dengan tingkat reliabilitas sebesar 0,871. Aktivitas yang dilakukan meliputi, hiking, outbound dan berenang. Data dikumpulakan melalui 14 pertemuan diolah melalui SPSS 20. Hasil perhitungan menujukan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari petualangan jangka pendek terhadap pengurangan stress pada mahasiswa.

Abstract

One of the main components of badminton games is shuttlecock. The shuttlecock home industries in Indonesia mainly employ for about 20-40 freelance workers. The workers in the home industries are able to produce 500-100 slops of shuttlecock daily. The guarantee of the shuttlecock quality produced by home industries, either through the laboratory tests or field tests, is rarely conducted formally. Therefore, we are interested in conducting an academic study on the velocity of the shuttlecocks produced by the workers of the shuttlecock home industries that have been distributed in Indonesia markets. There are eight widely distributed shuttlecock brands produced by the home industries in Indonesia, including Taiso, Saporate, Netra, Arjuna, Kuda Mas, Rivals, Purnama, and Spin. The purpose of this study was to examine the quality of aerodynamics rate of the shuttlecock produced by home industries by comparing the rate of motion of the shuttlecock in different distances started from the initial velocity to the final velocity when the shuttlecocks impact to the ground. The method used in this study was a descriptive qualitative study. The instruments used were three high resolution handy cams, a set of calibration, and the 3D motion analysis system software (Frame Diaz IV). The result of this study showed that the average velocity of the shuttlecock, started from the initial velocity to the final velocity with 5 meter distance, reached 85.0 m/s., while the average final velocity reached 29.8m/s at 5 meter distance. From all of the shuttlecock types tested in the field test for their velocity, it was found that the Spin brand moved with a high velocity with 12.8% of percentage. Meanwhile, the lowest velocity of the shuttlecock was found in the Taiso brand where the percentage was 15.3% in 9 meter and12 meter distances. The study concludes that the average of various shuttlecock brands’ speeds are in the normal category except for the Taiso and Spin brands.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between VO2 Max pedalling positions, including sitting position and standing position toward speed. The samples in this study was ten junior athletes in DKI Jakarta. The research method used descriptive method. The instrument used to measure VO2 Max in this study was ergo cycle, while to track the speed, cyclo was used. Data analysis used SPSS version 20. The results of analysis and calculation of data displayed that VO2 max and the position of pedalling have a significant relationship with speed. Moreover, the position of standing pedalling is faster than the position of sitting pedalling. The results of this study are expected to give beneficial contributions in terms of training programs.AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui korelasi antara VO2 Max pedaling posisi duduk dan berdiri terhadap kecepatan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah sepuluh atlet junior DKI Jakarta. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif. Instrumen yang digunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan ergocycle untuk mengukur VO2 Max dan untuk mengukur kecepatan menggunakan cyclo. Analisis data menggunakan SPSS versi 20. Hasil analisis dan perhitungan data mengungkapkan bahwa VO2 max dan posisi pedaling memiliki hubungan yang signifikan terhadap kecepatan bersepeda, kemudian posisi pedalling berdiri lebih cepat dibandingkan dengan posisi pedaling duduk. Serta implikasi yang diharapkan dapat membantu dari segi program latihan.

Abstract

The main objective of this research is the implementation of tactical approaches towards developing junior high school students' understanding and skills in playing football. The method that is used in this research is to experiment with the pretest-posttest control group design. This research involves two groups, the first-named an experimental group with a tactical approach intervention and the second group with a technical (traditional) approach to the development of junior high school students understanding and playing skills. Two instruments are used in this study, the first is multiple-choice cognition instruments at the level of difficulty C1 to C3 which are used to measure students' understanding in playing football, the second is instruments to test playing football skills using Game Performance Instrument Assessment (GPAI). The research will be conducted on junior high school students in Bandung City. All data obtained will be analyzed using the one-way Manova technique which aims to see the influence between groups both on developing understanding and enjoyment together as well as each variable. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that implementation of tactical approaches gives an influence on students' understanding in playing football lessons and gives influence to the students games performance in playing football. AbstrakTujuan utama penelitian ini adalah mengimplementasikan pendekatan taktis terhadap pengembangan pemahaman dan keterampilan bermain sepak bola siswa SMP. Metode yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan rancangan pretest posttest control group design. Melibatkan  dua kelompok, yaitu satu kelompok eksperimen dengan intervensi pendekatan taktis dan satu kelompok dengan intervensi pendekatan teknis (tradisional) terhadap pengembangan  pemahaman  dan keterampilan bermain sepakbola siswa SMP. Terdapat dua instrument yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu (1) instrument kognisi jenis multiple choise pada tingkat kesukaran C1 sampai dengan C3 yang akan digunakan untuk mengukur pemahaman siswa dalam permbelajaran bermain sepak bola, (2) instrument tes keterampilan bermain sepakbola dengan menggunakan Game Permomance Assessment Instrumen (GPAI). Penelitian akan dilakukan pada siswa-siswi SMP dilingkungan kota Bandung. Semua data yang diperoleh akan analisis dengan menggunakan teknik manova satu jalur yang bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh antar kelompok baik pada pengembangan pemahaman dan kesenangan secara bersama-sama maupun masing-masing variabel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa implementasi pendekatan taktis memberikan pengaruh terhadap pemahaman siswa dalam pembalajaran sepak bola dan berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan bermain sepak bola siswa dalam pembelajaran sepak bola.

Abstract

A child motor development and body mass index are determinant aspects yet important predictors for other aspect of development. However, both of them are also influenced by other factors, including the parents’ socioeconomic status. Therefore, this study was aimed at finding out the relationship between parents’ socioeconomic status with the children’ motor development and body mass index, especially for the children living in rural area. The study was an ex-post facto study. The study used Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ) 3rd Edition to measure the children motor development and Instrument (Scale) for Measuring the Socioeconomic Status of a Family Questionnaire to measure the socioeconomic status of the parents. The children body mass index were calculated from the height and weight. The study involved 64 children as the participants. However, only 53 data of the children that were eligible to be analyzed after the data cleaning process was conducted. The data were analyzed by using statistic calculation by the help of SPSS application. The results of the study found that most of the children were coming from upper middle and lower middle status. Their body mass index were mostly in thin category. However, their motor development seems to be on the schedule. Only a small number of the children who need more activities or further professional assessment. Moreover, there was no significant relationship between the parents’ socioeconomic status and the children motor development and body mass index was found. The study indicates that the children weight status were alarming and need further attention. However, the data were taken from a small number of participant, thus it cannot be generalized to summarize a general depiction of all children in rural area.
