Abstract

Moss plants (Bryophyta) are living things that include multi-celled green plants. Growing mosses (Bryophyta) are known to have a simple arrangement of organs. This study examines the biodiversity of moss plants which aims to determine the biodiversity of moss plants found around Rojo Camp Gardens, Dau District, Malang Regency. This study uses the observation method to collect data by direct observation. This method is used as an observation of the object of research, especially on the focus of the problem under study. The data obtained was in the form of the number of species and body morphological characteristics of the moss plant species. The results of the study found that 7 types of moss plants were found with different body morphologies. The special characteristics of moss plants are that they have rhizoids and leaves, but do not yet have true roots, stems and leaves. Moss plants have a role in ecosystems, including as water absorbers (the nature of their cells resembles sponges), to retain moisture, produce oxygen through a fast photosynthetic process and as pollutant absorbers so that these moss plants can be found around Rojo Camp Gardens, Dau District, Malang Regency.

Abstract

Poaceae is an organism that can live and develop, generally found in tropical areas or areas with air temperature with sufficient rainfall to form grasslands. Poaceae have an important role as a barrier to erosion at the foot of the cliff. This study aims to determine the diversity of plants in the Poaceae family. The research was conducted by descriptive observation with observation techniques. The specimen collection method was roaming which was carried out in the Teletubbies Hill area, Bumiaji Village, Batu City, East Java. In collecting specimens, abiotic data were also collected as environmental parameters in the form of rainfall, number of rainy months, average daily temperature, and height above sea level to support the identification process. Based on the observation results, 6 species of the Poaceae family were found. The species found were Sporobolus indicus, Imperata cylindrical, Digitaria ciliaris, Lepetochloa, Bothriochloa ischaemum and Eragrostis unioloides.

Abstract

This research was conducted after the development of e-modules for Newton’s Laws. This was to analyze the students’ critical thinking skills consisting of indicators providing basic alignment, using logic thinking, providing arguments, conducting evaluations, and making decisions. The study was conducted on 62 students at two high schools in Surakarta. The study used descriptive analysis methods using differences in gain values, normality tests, homogeneity, and paired t sample tests and was conducted in 2021. The results showed that students’ critical thinking skills increased after using E-module. The increase was derived from an N-Gain value of 0.60 for overall critical thinking skills and for each aspect of the increase in the moderate category. This research is expected to capture the profile of students’ critical skills and the effectiveness of e-modules in online learning.

Abstract

Students must possess 21st century abilities, including the ability to think critically and creatively, in order for education to be developed for this century. Teaching materials are required to support students' learning as they develop these skills. The development of the 21st century cannot be separated from technological developments which are developing rapidly so that Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) based teaching materials are very popular to use. The goal of the study was to ascertain how STEM-based instructional materials affected students' capacity for critical and creative thought. The research method used is meta-analysis of 22 national and international journal articles. The research results obtained are with variations in the level of educational units, teaching material subjects, critical and creative thinking skills as well as the variety of teaching materials used state that the use of STEM-based teaching materials has a significant influence on students' critical and creative thinking skills. The conclusion from this meta-analysis research is that there is a significant influence from the use of STEM-based teaching materials on students' critical and creative thinking skills

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the needs of teachers for the development of teaching materials in the form of STEM-based electronic modules. Development using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementatin, Evaluation). The data obtained through interviews with one of the physics teachers in Kerinci district, the results of the interviews are that in the learning process teachers have not used electronic modules with the STEM approach and require electronic modules with the STEM approach because the STEM approach focuses more on real-world problems or problems in everyday life. based on a combination of four aspects, namely  Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, making it easier for students to understand the material, besides that it can also improve students' scientific literacy. So that researchers will carry out the development of STEM-based electronic modules.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of modules in natural science learning on students' knowledge and critical thinking skills. This type of research is meta analysis. The subjects in this study were 20 articles that had been published in various national and international journals. The instrument used is coding. The data analysis method used is quantitative descriptive analysis which is guided by the effect size. After obtaining the effect size value, it is then classified into several groups and adjusted to the effect size category. Based on the results of data analysis, it is known that the average effect size module on knowledge is 1.36 and belongs to the very high category. While the average effect size of the module on students' critical thinking skills is 3.42 and classified in the very high category. The results in this study explain that the module has a very high influence in efforts to increase students' knowledge and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research was conducted in class XII IPA 1 SMA N 1 Suwawa with the aim of knowing the literacy knowledge of students through the application of the Numbered Head Together cooperative learning model. The model used in this research is the Classroom Action Research Kemmis and Tagart models using 3 cycles, with research stages namely a) Planning, b) Implementation or action, c) Observation, d) Reflection. Based on the analytical instruments and analysis of scientific literacy-based learning outcomes, it can be seen that the NHT type cooperative learning model can increase students' scientific literacy knowledge which includes 3 indicators including scientific question assistance, explaining phenomena scientifically, and using scientific evidence , this is evidenced by improvements in the activities of teachers and students, as well as the improvement of learning outcomes achieved. The application of the NHT learning model can increase students' scientific literacy knowledge, because the application of the NHT learning model can help train and increase students' scientific literacy knowledge, especially in metabolic materials. The characteristics of metabolic substances which generally require more understanding can be complemented by the application of the NHT learning model which precipitates cooperation and sharing between peers which also requires responsibility for oneself due to random calling of noor. The advantages of the NHT learning model are that it can improve student achievement, are able to deepen student understanding, train student responsibility, delight students in learning, develop student curiosity and increase self-confidence also help increase students' scientific literacy knowledge because it involves students with their learning environment, and thinking activities together
