Abstract

Science and Technology (IPTEK) is developing rapidly and has provided many changes Science and Technology (IPTEK) is developing rapidly and has provided many changes from various fields in Indonesia. One of the changes that has occurred in the field of education is marked by the occurrence of a pandemic, where technology is now increasingly being recognized and utilized, such as learning media. Learning media is used as a supporting mediator for the learning process so that it is effective and efficient in various environmental conditions, both pandemic and non-pandemic, such as using learning media based on the Canva video software. This study aims to develop content for learning Natural Sciences (IPA) material for motion of objects based on canva video for Elementary School (SD) students. This type of research uses research and development (Research and Development) which is commonly called RND by using the research and development model from Borg and Gall (1989) there are 10 steps to implementing a development research strategy. However, researchers only carried out 3 stages, namely research and initial information gathering, planning, and developing initial product drafts. Thus this research resulted in the development of material motion material content for elementary school students using Canva video which has the potential to become a learning medium that contains material on bats, ducks and camels. In addition, canva videos display content with the narrator's facial features with attractive color designs, text, and images.

Abstract

Covid-19 has had a huge impact in all sectors. The socio-economic sector experienced the heaviest impact. One of the sectors affected is the world of education. Education is now transforming from face-to-face learning to online learning. Online learning is very helpful for students during covid-19. In addition to having a positive value, online learning also contains a negative value. For example, students' interest in reading increases, but on the other hand, students' reading power is low. Low reading power has an impact on decreasing the cognitive level of students. The purpose of this research is to first identify the cognitive level profiles and students' abilities in solving problems in the synthesis of biodiesel from used cooking oil. Analyzing the correlation between cognitive level and students' ability to solve problems. This research is a correlational descriptive research. This research was conducted on fourth semester chemistry education students who were taking an instrument chemistry course and determining the structure of organic compounds. Cognitive level and problem-solving ability were measured using a rubric for assessing cognitive level and student problem-solving ability. The data obtained is then described in graphical form. The data was then tested for correlation using the SPSS product moment correlation test. In this study, it was found that the cognitive level of most students entered at C2 and C3 levels and the average problem solving ability was 53.84. The results of the correlation test show that the cognitive level is positively correlated with the ability of students to solve problems. This is evidenced by the comparison of the value of r count 0.724> r table 0.44. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the cognitive level and problem solving abilities of students are still low. Cognitive level and problem solving ability are positively correlated

Abstract

This study aims to determine the antibacterial ability of Cyperus rotundus extract in inhibiting the growth of Escherichia coli and Salmonella typhi by measuring the diameter of the inhibition zone. This research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) and LSD test as a follow-up test with one factor, namely variations in the concentration of C. rotundus extract 20%, 40%, 60%, 80% and 100%, distilled water as a negative control and the antibiotic chloramphenicol as a positive control. The results showed that the extract of C. rotundus could inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli with the largest inhibition zone diameter indicated by a concentration of 100% which was 2.33mm and the smallest inhibition zone diameter was found at a concentration of 20%, namely 1.00 mm. While in Salmonella typhi the largest inhibition zone was shown at a concentration of 100%, namely 3, 03mm and the smallest inhibition zone was indicated by a concentration of 20%, namely 1.07 mm. The results of the ANOVA and LSD tests with 95% confidence test showed that there was a difference in the average diameter of the inhibition zone in each treatment with variations in the concentration of C. rotundus extract with a concentration of 80% as the most effective.
