Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap interaksi antar model Pembelajaran Index Card Match, Course Review Horay, dan curiosity (rasa ingin tahu) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis, serta perbedaan kemampuan konsep matematis berdasarkan tingkat curiosity. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan menggunakan Desain Eksperimen Semu. Siswa SMP Negeri 01 Bunga Mayang kelas VIII sebagai sampel yang didapat menggunakan  teknik cluster random sampling. Hasil penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa 1) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan siswa yang mendapat model ICM, model CRH, dan model tradisional dalam memahami konsep matematika; 2) Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematika antara siswa yang rasa ingin tahunya rendah, sedang, dan tinggi; 3) Tidak terdapat interaksi antara curiosity dan model pembelajaran dengan kemampuan memahami konsep matematika.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the ethnomathematical elements found in traditional games, especially in Sundanese culture in West Java. The method used in this study is Research and Development with the Borg and Gall model with several stages: potential problems, gathering information, product design, design testing, design improvements, product trial, product revision,  usage trial, and  mass product manufacturing. This paper presents only at the stage of collecting information related to traditional Sundanese games that contain ethnomathematical elements. The results showed that there are traditional Sundanese games that have ethnomathematical elements. The games include bebentengan, hahayaman, congklak, ucing sumput (petak kumpet), Sunda manda (engklek), congklak, patok lele, kelereng, and gasing. These traditional games are usually played by elementary and junior high school age children, classified based on the type of ethnomathematics that are suitable for mathematics learning materials at the elementary and junior high school education unit levels.

Abstract

Nilpotent graph of ring integer modulo is one of the graph representations in algebraic structures. This study aims to find out the shape and properties of a nilpotent graph of ring prime numbers modulo which is then generalized to a ring of integers modulo with arbitrary prime power. The method used in this research is a literature study. In the ring of integer modulo, we get the shape of a nilpotent graph as a star graph. Then, the characteristic of a nilpotent graph on a ring integer modulo with arbitrary prime power is that it contains a complete subgraph and contains a number of as a star subgraph.

Abstract

Model SEIRV dibentuk dengan melihat pada perlakuan terhadap orang yang terinfeksi di Indonesia dengan pembagian subpopulasi terinfeksi menjadi tiga: subpopulasi terinfeksi dirawat di rumah sakit, terinfeksi tidak teridentifikasi, dan terinfeksi isolasi mandiri. Model ini dianalisis sifat kestabilan titik tetapnya dan menganalisis parameter mana yang paling peka terhadap perubahan simulasi model. Model ini memiliki titik tetap tanpa penyakit yang stabil asimtotik lokal pada kondisi bilangan reproduksi dasar kurang dari satu dan titik tetap endemik stabil asimtotik lokal pada kondisi bilangan reproduksi dasar lebih dari satu. Hasil analisis sensitivitas menunjukkan ada tiga parameter yang memiliki pengaruh besar terhadap model: laju transmisi penyakit dari subpopulasi rentan menjadi terekspos, laju kesembuhan subpopulasi terinfeksi tidak teridentifikasi, dan laju vaksinasi. Hal yang dapat dilakukan ketika menginginkan kondisi dimana tidak ada lagi wabah Covid-19 adalah menekan laju penyebaran Covid-19, meningkatkan laju kesembuhan subpopulasi terinfeksi tidak teridentifikasi, dan meningkatkan laju pemberian vaksinasi terhadap populasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengalisis penyebab kesulitan belajar matematika yang dialami anak tunagrahita di SD Negeri. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif, metode deskriptif, dengan model fenomenologi. Keabsahan data diperkuat dengan menggunakan metode tes. Model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman diterapkan untuk menganalisis data. Penelitian ini berdasar pada teori kesulitan belajar matematika oleh Lerner, didukung dengan teori ketunagrahitaan  oleh Efendi. Hasil penelitian ini, yakni : 1) kesulitan mengenal dan memahami simbol, disebabkan karena lemahnya daya ingat. 2) gangguan hubungan keruangan, disebabkan karena kemampuan berinteraksi anak tunagrahita. 3) gangguan dalam membaca bahasa matematika, disebabkan oleh keterbatasan kemampuan bahasa tunagrahita secara alamiah dan adanya gangguan konsentrasi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi pertimbangan dalam memilih strategi dan model belajar bagi peyelenggara pendidikan inklusi.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the algebraic thinking skills of elementary school students in solving math problems. The method used is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the study were 129 fifth grade elementary school students from two private schools in Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. In this paper, the researcher limits the analysis of the algebraic thinking skills of students who have low abilities. The data collection technique used an instrument in the form of 15 algebraic thinking test questions which included components of numerical manipulation, modeling, and functions. This paper presents an analysis of the four numerical manipulation component problems. The results showed that students with low algebraic thinking skills used stacked addition, subtraction and multiplication strategies in solving numerical manipulation component problems even though the steps used were not precise. In addition, students also experience errors in solving problems. In other words, the ability of students is one of the factors that affect the ability to think algebra.

Abstract

Tujuan dilakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh model Project based learning dengan media visual terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis. Metode penelitian ini termasuk eksperimen semu dengan desain factorial anava 2 arah. Populasi pada penelitian ini yaitu seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua Tahun Ajaran 2022/2023. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 60 orang, meliputi siswa kelas VIII-1 (kelas eksperimen) dan kelas VIII-2 (kelas kontrol), dengan pemilihan melalui simple random sampling. Instrumen dalam penelitian yaitu tes keterampilan berpikir kritis. Teknik analisis data dengan n-gain dan anava dua arah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model PjBL terhadap keterampilan kritis terutama pada indikator situation serta inference dan overview. Saran penelitian yaitu SMP Negeri 2 Deli Tua mampu mengintegrasikan model Project based learning dalam pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the profile of junior high school students' relational thinking in solving algebraic problems viewed from mathematical ability. In this qualitative research, data collection techniques were tests and interviews. The subjects of this research consisted of 3 (three) Grade 8th-G students of SMPN 1 Taman with low, medium, and high math skills of the same gender. The problem-solving step uses Polya's problem-solving stages. The results showed that students with medium and high mathematical abilities think relationally up to the looking back stage. While students with low mathematical ability is limited up to the stage of carrying out the plan. The subjects use previous knowledge related to algebra, especially linear equations and inequalities for two variables, to relate problems information and solving strategies.

Abstract

The scoring of multiple choice test items with the conventional model causes disparities in the interpretation of the scoring results. This causes unfair scoring, because the scoring does not pay attention to the characteristics of the items attached to the test. To overcome this problem, the purpose of writing this article is to apply the IRT model to make scoring more fair, so that multiple choice tests are able to provide a more precise and objective interpretation of scores. The multiple choice test used in this study is a math test on Algebra content of 15 items. The test was piloted on 65 grade 8 junior high school students. This data was used to calibrate test items using IRT. Model fit is determined by the M2 method. The instrument is compatible with the Rasch, 2PL and 3PL models, but only the Rasch and 2PL models used in this article. The number of items that fit in both models is the same as the number of multiple choice test items. Furthermore, the item parameters are used as the basis for scoring. The comparison results show that the IRT model is able to provide a more objective and precise scoring, based on the characteristics possessed by the test items. Model 2 PL is able to provide the most fair scoring than the Rasch and conventional models. The characteristics of the discriminant parameters in the 2PL model make it possible to distinguish students' abilities. especially for students who have the same number of correct answers, but the pattern of answers is different

Abstract

This study aims to develop valid, practical, and effective inquiry-based learning worksheets to support students' mathematical reasoning and proving abilities in the matter of a system of two-variable linear equations (SPLDV). This study adopts the ADDIE development model. Methods of data collection through interviews, questionnaires, and tests. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII E as the experimental class and students of class VIII B as the control class. The results of the validity assessment obtained a percentage of 85% with the very valid category, the practicality assessment obtained a percentage of 86% with the very practical category, and the effectiveness assessment obtained a percentage of 58% with the category quite effective, and there was a significant difference between students' reasoning abilities and mathematical proving experimental class with control class.
