Abstract

A major factor in Indonesia's booming cosmetics and beauty industry is people's increasing awareness of the power of makeup as a means of self-expression, creativity, and confidence boost. Examining how E-WOM and product quality affect consumers' decisions to buy Wardah Colorfit cream blush in Surabaya is the aim of this study. One hundred and forty residents of Surabaya were given questionnaires as part of the quantitative research approach. Non-probability sampling with a purposive approach was the sampling method employed. Using SmartPLS software version 3.0, the PLS method was used for data analysis. With a P value of 0.000 (below the 0.05 threshold) and a path coefficient of 0.344, the analysis's findings show that the E-WOM variable significantly and favorably influences purchasing decisions. With a path coefficient of 0.457 and a P value of 0.000 (<0.05), the product quality variable also demonstrated a significant positive influence on purchasing decisions.This means that the better the content uploaded on social media, the better the consumer's purchasing decision. Meanwhile, the better the product quality, the more influential it is on the purchasing decision. These findings emphasize the importance of E-WOM and good product quality, which impact the consumer's decision-making process

Abstract

Marketing plays a vital role in business success, where well-designed strategies such as high product quality and online customer reviews serve as a key determinants of consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to examine the influence of product quality and online customer reviews on purchasing decisions for Vaseline Gluta-Hya hand & body lotion in Surabaya. A quantitative approach was employed, using purposive sampling with a total of 98 respondents. Data were analyzed using the PLS-SEM method with the assistance of SmartPLS version 4. The results show that both product quality and online customer reviews have a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions. These findings indicate that consumers of Vaseline Gluta-Hya tend to choose products that offer tangible benefits and added value compared to competing products in the market. Moreover, online customer reviews serve as a crucial source of information for consumers in evaluating the product’s quality, strengths, and weaknesses.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of profitability, activity ratio, and company growth on company value in the Nondurable Household Products sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2017–2023 period. Company value is a major concern because it reflects investor perceptions of company performance, and is measured using Price to Book Value (PBV). The independent variables in this study are profitability as measured by Return on Equity (ROE), activity ratio as measured by Total Assets Turnover (TATO), and company growth as measured by Total Assets Growth (TAG). The sampling method used is purposive sampling, with a sample size of 5 companies. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis with the help of SPSS version 25 software. The results of the study indicate that partially profitability (ROE) contributes to firm value. However, the activity ratio (TATO) and firm growth (TAG) contribute to firm value.

Abstract

Employees are an aspect that has a role in the sustainability of an organization caused by many factors. This study aims to examine the effect of work overload, work life balance on employee performance with the mediation variable of Bank X employee satisfaction in the city of Surabaya. Quantitative methods were used for 40 respondents obtained from saturated sampling techniques as well as data analysis and hypothesis tests using the SEM-PLS method. The results of the analysis indicate that work overload does not contribute to employee performance but can be the cause of increased job satisfaction, work life balance can contribute to increased employee performance and job satisfaction, and job satisfaction can play a role as a mediator of work overload and work life balance in employee performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of attitude on entrepreneurial intention moderated by entrepreneurship learning in management students at IPB Internasional Bali. Using a quantitative approach with a survey design, data were collected from 100 fourth semester students and above through questionnaires and analyzed using the SEM-PLS technique. The results showed that attitude has a significant effect on entrepreneurial intention with an R-Square value of 0.871, but entrepreneurship learning does not significantly moderate the relationship (p-value = 0.491). These findings provide insight into the importance of attitude in shaping entrepreneurial intention and the role of entrepreneurship learning in the context of higher education at IPB Internasional Bali.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of compensation and workload on employee performance through job satisfaction at PO Bus PT. X. The research employs a quantitative method involving 40 employees working as Drivers and Co-Drivers, with data analyzed using SEM-PLS version 4.0. The results indicate that compensation has a positive and significant effect on performance, both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. Conversely, workload has a negative and significant impact on performance, also both directly and indirectly through job satisfaction. These findings are expected to help the company address employee-related issues in order to optimize performance.

Abstract

This study was conducted to analyze the influence of leadership, organizational culture, and self-efficacy on organizational commitment in government employees. This study used a quantitative approach, with purposive sampling or based on certain criteria. The number of respondents involved in this study was 76 Civil Servants at the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Service obtained from the Slovin formula. Data collection was carried out through the distribution of questionnaires distributed online. Data analysis was carried out using the Partial Least Square (PLS) approach to determine the influence of each variable on organizational commitment. The results of the study indicate that (1) leadership has a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment, (2) organizational culture has a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment, and (3) self-efficacy also has a positive and significant influence on organizational commitment. These findings emphasize the importance of leadership development, strengthening organizational culture, and increasing self-efficacy to increase employee commitment. This study provides practical implications for human resource management in government agencies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of profitability, leverage, and Earning Per Share (EPS) on stock prices within an industry. The ratios used as independent variables are Return On Asset (ROA), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), and EPS (market ratio), while the dependent variable is stock price. The research focuses on companies in the technology sector that actively trade shares and are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the period from 2019 to 2021. The data collection method used is purposive sampling with a quantitative approach employing multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 23. Based on the results of the analysis, It was found that the variables profitability and leverage did not contribute to the stock prices of technology sector companies. Meanwhile, EPS contributed to the stock prices of technology companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management and operational system of the Zakat Collection Unit (UPZ) of BAZNAS Tulungagung Regency from a sharia perspective. The UPZ plays a crucial role as an extension of BAZNAS in collecting, distributing, and utilizing zakat funds at the regional level. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach focusing on institutional analysis and zakat governance based on sharia principles. This approach was chosen because it allows the researcher to explore contextual cause-and-effect relationships and gain a comprehensive understanding of zakat management practices through relevant written sources. Data were obtained from a literature review consisting of ten national and international scientific journals discussing zakat governance, sharia compliance, and Islamic philanthropy management; five major reference books on zakat management and Islamic economics; three official documents from BAZNAS and government regulations, including operational guidelines and annual reports of zakat institutions; and two religious fatwas and sharia guidelines related to zakat fund management and the role of UPZ. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical technique, involving classification, comparison, and synthesis of information from various references to obtain a holistic understanding. The analysis focused on four key aspects: the institutional concept of UPZ, the application of sharia principles in zakat management, the regulatory framework, and the implementation of operational management at the regional level. The findings reveal that structurally, the UPZ of BAZNAS Tulungagung Regency has established an organized management system encompassing planning, implementation, and supervision functions in accordance with BAZNAS guidelines. The application of sharia principles such as trustworthiness (amanah), justice (adl), and accountability has been reflected in the institution’s governance, although challenges remain in terms of transparency, human resource competence, and digital optimization of zakat management systems. This study contributes both conceptually and practically to strengthening sharia-based zakat governance that is professional, transparent, and trustworthy, and it serves as a reference for zakat management institutions in developing effective and accountable zakat systems oriented toward social welfare in line with maqasid al-shariah.

Abstract

The research shows to examine the influence of Online Customer Reviews and Social Media Influencers on Purchase Intention for The Originote sunscreen products, with Trust as a mediator among Gen Z TikTok users in Surabaya. This research uses a quantitative approach involving 96 respondents through purposive sampling and is analyzed using PLS-SEM. The study reveals that Online Customer Reviews and Social Media Influencers generate a favorable and significant effect on Purchase Intention, and Trust mediates both relationships. These findings indicate that Gen Z actively uses digital marketing as an information source, where trust in honest and non-manipulative reviews is a crucial factor in shaping purchase intentions. This study is limited by its geographic scope and the lack of detailed exploration of influencer characteristics. For Gen Z consumers, it is recommended to be more selective when evaluating reviews and content on TikTok. Meanwhile, companies are advised to build a positive image on TikTok to foster audience trust. Future researchers are encouraged to explore variables such as cognitive behavior in the context of digital consumer behavior.
