Abstract

This study was motivated by the limited number of systematic studies mapping the role of stakeholders in tuberculosis (TB) elimination efforts, despite the critical importance of this issue in achieving global health targets and the Sustainable Development Goals. The objective of this study is to analyze the landscape of scientific publications related to the role of stakeholders in TB elimination during the period 2014–2024. The focus of the study includes publication trends, main themes, topic focus intensity, and conceptual evolution. The method used is bibliometric analysis based on secondary data from 415 journal articles obtained through the Publish or Perish tool and selected using Mendeley. Furthermore, visual analysis was conducted using VOSviewer software to generate keyword co-occurrence maps, density maps, and temporal maps (overlays). The results indicate that scientific discourse is still dominated by medical themes and the implementation of public health programs. However, in recent years, there has been an increase in attention to the concept of broader stakeholder engagement, including corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the adoption of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence. These findings support the urgency of a multisectoral approach to TB elimination, as emphasized in stakeholder theory. The conclusions of this study highlight a shift in research direction toward recognition of the contributions of non-traditional actors and technological innovation. Implications for practice

Abstract

Introduction: DM prevalence keeps rising, with 90-95% of cases being DMT2, which, if not treated properly, will cause various complications. Around 30-50% of DMT2 sufferers experience complications, with the proportion at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital reaching 49.7%. High complications stem from uncontrolled factors, making optimal management key to prevention. Aim: Analyze risk factors for chronic complications in DMT2 patients at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital. Method: Observational analytic with case control design. The population included DMT2 patients at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital, with 158 samples (79 cases and 79 controls) selected using purposive sampling. Data were collected through interviews and medical records, and then analysed univariately, bivariately, and multivariately. Results: Multivariate statistical analysis with multiple logistic regression showed significant results for the variables age (3.62), duration of DM (4.83), medication compliance (3.26), blood sugar control (3.63), and stress (6.82). Conclusion: Age, duration of DM, medication compliance, blood sugar control, and stress are significant risk factors for complications, with stress as the most influential factor. Therefore, DMT2 patients need to manage stress, routinely control blood sugar, and comply with treatment to prevent more serious complications.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a crucial factor in the palm oil mill industry, which has a high risk of workplace accidents. The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) provides a framework for understanding how workers' attitudes, risk awareness, and commitment to safety behavior influence compliance with safety procedures and the reduction of workplace accidents. This study aims to analyze the influence of workers' attitudes, risk awareness, and commitment to safety behavior on safety compliance and accident reduction in palm oil mills. A quantitative cross-sectional approach was used, with 200 respondents from palm oil mill workers. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) with SmartPLS 4.0 to examine the relationships between variables. The results show that positive worker attitudes significantly influence safety procedure compliance (path coefficient = 0.323, p < 0.05) and accident reduction (path coefficient = 0.303, p < 0.05). Risk awareness has a significant effect on safety procedure compliance (path coefficient = 0.218, p < 0.05) and accident reduction (path coefficient = 0.223, p < 0.05). Furthermore, commitment to safety behavior positively influences safety procedure compliance (path coefficient = 0.248, p < 0.05) and accident reduction (path coefficient = 0.343, p < 0.05). The research model demonstrated R² values of 0.456 for compliance and 0.556 for accident reduction, indicating a moderate influence.

Abstract

The continuous growth in the number of pharmacies in Kendari City has intensified competition in this business sector. In such a competitive landscape, brand image and service quality become crucial factors influencing consumer preferences when choosing a pharmacy. Apotek PS, which has been serving the Kendari community for over a decade, is recognized for its strong brand reputation and reliable service standards. This study aims to explore the impact of brand image and service quality on customer loyalty at Apotek PS. Data were collected through a Google Form-based questionnaire completed by 100 customers who had visited at least twice. The collected data were then analyzed using descriptive statistical methods and the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) approach with the assistance of SmartPLS software. The findings of this study confirm that both brand image and service quality contribute positively and significantly to customer loyalty. Together, these two variables account for 78.4% (indicating a strong influence) of customer loyalty, with a Q-squared value of 0.772, signifying a high level of predictive accuracy. Furthermore, the PLS model evaluation demonstrates an acceptable level of model fit. Based on the Cross-validated Predictive Ability Test, the PLS model exhibits a higher predictive accuracy than the IA and LM models, leading to the conclusion that the PLS model performs better in predicting customer loyalty.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer globally, accounting for nearly 12% of all cases. One in eight women worldwide is at risk of developing breast cancer. Regular Breast Self-Examination (BSE) is one of the most effective methods for early detection. This study aimed to identify the determinants of early breast cancer detection behavior through BSE among women of reproductive age. The study found significant associations between BSE behavior and several predisposing factors, including education level (p = 0.002), knowledge (p = 0.000), perception (p = 0.009), attitude (p = 0.024), and motivation (p = 0.016); enabling factor, namely information exposure (p = 0.000); and reinforcing factors, including family support (p = 0.001) and support from health workers (p = 0.027). Conversely, there was no significant association between social support and BSE behavior (p = 0.394). The study concludes that predisposing, enabling, and reinforcing factors are significantly associated with BSE behavior. Information exposure is identified as the most influential determinant of BSE behavior among women in the working area of Padang Pasir Public Health Center.

Abstract

The negative stigma towards PLWHA held by health workers makes people reluctant to take an HIV test because they are afraid of positive results and are worried about getting discriminatory services in primary health care. Stigma towards PLWHA occurs due to lack of knowledge about safe working methods in handling HIV/AIDS, homophobic attitudes, and religiosity. This study aims to describe the stigma and its determinants in health workers in Balikpapan City. The study design was cross-sectional. The population was health workers working in primary health care in Balikpapan City including general practitioners, nurses, midwives, pharmacists and laboratory staff. The population was 4284 people spread across 27 Health Centers in Balikpapan. The sampling type was quota sampling, calculated using the Lemeshow formula to obtain a sample size of 423. The instrument used to measure stigma was the Health Care Providers HIV/AIDS Stigma Scale (HPASS). Data analyzed using bivariat analysis. The results showed that most health workers still had a stigma towards PLWHA (53%). Individuals with the greatest high stigma were individuals who had never received HIV training (59.7%). Bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between stigma and HIV training (pvalue = 0.026). Regular training is needed on handling and assisting HIV/AIDS patients for health workers in Primary Health Care, in order to controlled the stigma.
