Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between brain waves and the level of readiness of students with disabilities categorized as mild-cognitive impairment in learning using EEG (Electroencephalography) signals. EEG signals are used to record electrical brain activity that is associated with various mental conditions, including learning readiness. The method used involves collecting data from students with disabilities by measuring brain waves before and during the learning process. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant correlation between certain types of brain waves, such as alpha and beta waves, with the level of student readiness in receiving learning materials. These findings are expected to provide new insights in the development of more effective learning methods that are in accordance with the mental conditions of students with disabilities, as well as being a reference for optimizing technology-based inclusive education curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to examine teachers' strategies in developing differentiated instruction for slow learner students in elementary schools, particularly at MI Adab and Tahfidz Baleharjo, Pacitan. The research is grounded in the context of the Merdeka Curriculum, which emphasizes inclusive and responsive learning tailored to the diverse needs of students. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects included the principal and a fifth-grade teacher. The findings reveal that while the teacher has a basic understanding of slow learner characteristics, the implementation of differentiated instruction strategies is not yet optimal. Adjustments in instructional time, content, and learning processes have begun but remain general and unstructured. Continuous training and mentoring are needed to enable teachers to design more adaptive, effective, and individualized learning services for slow learner students. Abstract

Abstract This research originated from the problem of declining learning achievement of students of SD Negeri Sukun 3 Malang City One of the indicators of declining student learning achievement is the results of the odd 2023/2024 Mid-Semester Exam (UTS) which was carried out in September 2023. Of the 25 students who took part in UTS, KKM scores were obtained that did not meet the learning completeness. In the results of the 2023/2024 odd semester UTS held in September 2021, data was obtained that the average score of Grade VI students is still below the KKM score in English subjects. This study aims to determine the influence of flashcards and visual media in English learning on improving student achievement at SD Negeri Sukun 3, Malang City. The method used to analyze the data used logit regression with 25 active student respondents. Indicators to determine student learning achievement use a Likert scale of 1-4. The study Control class and experimental class results showed that the value of count = 3.74 and table = 1.685 where tcal> ttable so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. This means that it can be concluded that the use of visual media can be used as a learning medium that can improve student achievement compared to flashcard media. This is because visual media has a high appeal and is colorful so it can support the learning process. Visual media makes the learning process It is easy to implement because it can increase the child's focus on the material presented. Abstract

Effective teaching methods are essential to facilitate students' cognitive, social, and emotional development. One of the approaches proposed in the Merdeka Curriculum is Project Based Learning (P5), which invites students to be directly involved in the learning process through real projects. The research method used is a causal quantitative method with a population of 5th grade students at SDN Karangesuki 4 with a sample size of 54 students. The data analysis technique uses a t-test with a significance level of 5%. The T-test used is a separated variant or polled variant with a calculation tool in the form of SPSS. Based on the results of the research and discussion, several conclusions can be put forward. The conclusions that will be put forward in this research are as follows. 1) There is an increase in collaboration skills between students who learn using project-based learning and students who learn using LKPD (Learner Worksheets) on the theme "Use of Used Goods" class 5 at SDN 4 Karangbesuki, Malang City. It can be seen that the post-test average for the experimental group using project-based learning was 19.058, while the post-test average for the control group was 14.117. Based on the average increase in students' collaborative learning skills, it can be concluded that the increase in students' collaborative learning skills is higher in children who use project-based learning. 2) The results of the analysis of student responses on collaborative learning skills showed that the final percentage of student responses was 81.18% which was classified as very positive. Keywords: Project Based Learning (P5); Student Learning Collaboration Skills.

Abstract

The use of information technology is increasingly essential in data processing and storage, including library management in schools. The library at SD Negeri Candirejo 02 still applies a manual system for recording borrowings, returns, and book collection management. This condition creates several problems such as delays in data retrieval, recording errors, and inefficiency in library services. This study aims to implement a web-based library application to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data management at SD Negeri Candirejo 02. The research method employed the waterfall model, which consists of system requirements analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The application was developed using PHP programming language with the CodeIgniter 4 framework and MySQL as the database, and it was equipped with a QR code scanning feature. The implementation results show that the application, named PerpusKu, can assist library staff in managing borrowing, returning, member data, book categories, book racks, and fine reports more quickly and accurately. Testing using black-box methods indicated that all features functioned as expected. Therefore, this application can serve as an effective solution for elementary school libraries in overcoming the limitations of manual systems and supporting sustainable collection management.

Abstract

Elementary schools as educational institutions require an information system that is fast, transparent, and easily accessible to the public. However, many schools still do not have a website-based information system, including SD Negeri X, which until now has relied on manual methods for delivering information. This condition creates limitations in disseminating information related to school profiles, teacher data, learning activities, and academic achievements. This study was conducted to address this need by developing a school information system based on a website using the CodeIgniter 3 framework and the Waterfall development method. The system was built with the PHP programming language and MySQL database, and tested using Black-Box Testing to ensure that all features functioned according to user requirements. The results showed that the developed application facilitates schools in providing information to the community, expands the school’s promotion reach, and improves the efficiency of data management, which can be accessed anytime via digital devices.   Keywords: School Information System; Website; CodeIgniter 3; Waterfall; Black-Box Testing; Education Digitalization

Abstract

This study aims to explore the challenges and strategies in creating inclusive classrooms that are friendly to students with emotional disorders and diverse gender identities in elementary schools. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study involved 35 teachers in an inclusive primary school in East Jakarta, with data collected through a questionnaire that included aspects of challenges, positive influences of multicultural education, and inclusive strategies. The results of the study show that teachers face several key challenges, such as limited resources, understanding, and communication. However, multicultural education has been shown to improve students' empathy, tolerance, and social skills. Effective inclusive strategies include curriculum adaptation, teacher training, and collaboration with parents. Teachers also reported the positive impact of inclusive education on student attitudes and learning outcomes, including increased self-confidence, social responsibility, and collaboration skills. These results underscore the importance of adequate resource support and training programs for teachers to strengthen the effectiveness of inclusive education in primary schools. In addition, anti-stigma and diversity education programs can help reduce discrimination and increase student and public understanding of the importance of inclusion. Closer collaboration between schools and parents is also needed to create ongoing support for students with special needs.

Abstract

Digital transformation in education has required teachers to develop digital skills to enhance the quality of learning and their professionalism. This study aims to explore the level of digital skills, the application of technology in teaching, and the challenges faced by teachers at UPT Satuan Pendidikan SDN Pager II. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, utilizing data collection techniques such as surveys, classroom observations, semi-structured interviews, and document analysis. The results reveal a significant gap in teachers' digital skills. Approximately 40% of teachers lack adequate proficiency in using digital tools, while the remaining 60% exhibit varying levels of competence, ranging from basic to advanced. Although most teachers have integrated technology into their teaching, its use remains limited to simple activities such as document creation or sourcing learning materials. Only 20% of teachers leverage technology to create interactive learning experiences. Major challenges include limited access to technological devices, insufficient ongoing training, and time constraints due to heavy workloads. These findings highlight the need for relevant and sustainable training programs, adequate technological infrastructure, and the development of learning communities to support technology adoption
