Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of revitalizing traditional Minangkabau makeup as a collaborative learning medium in the digital era among Grade XI Beauty Department students at SMK Negeri 7 Padang. The research background stems from the low level of students’ mastery of traditional makeup techniques and the limited use of digital media in vocational learning. To address these issues, a collaborative learning model was developed that integrates Minangkabau local wisdom with digital technology through group projects, video-based work documentation, and e-portfolios. This study employed a quasi-experimental method with a one-group pretest–posttest design involving 53 students. Data were collected through makeup skill tests, digital literacy questionnaires, and observations of collaborative learning activities. Data analysis using a paired sample t-test revealed a significant improvement (p = 0.000 < 0.05) between pretest and posttest results. The average increase in skills was 16.3 points, covering mastery of makeup techniques, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. Meanwhile, students’ digital literacy improved by an average of 22.4% across the aspects of learning application use, online collaboration, and digital ethics. The results indicate that the implementation of digital-based collaborative learning oriented toward local culture is effective in enhancing students’ vocational competence, digital literacy, and cultural awareness. This learning model also strengthens students’ sense of cooperation, communication, and appreciation of Minangkabau culture. Therefore, the revitalization of traditional Minangkabau makeup serves as a strategic innovation in vocational education that aligns with the Merdeka Belajar(Freedom to Learn) movement in the era of digital transformation.

Abstract

This study explores Civic and Pancasila Education teachers’ perspectives on the opportunities and challenges in implementing 21st-century skill–oriented learning. Employing a qualitative literature review approach, this research synthesizes various sources from books, journals, and earlier studies. Findings reveal that teachers generally acknowledge the importance of PPKn in fostering critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity. Nevertheless, several challenges persist, including limited teacher readiness to apply technology, inadequate facilities, and teacher-centered instructional paradigms. The study highlights the need to enhance teachers’ pedagogical and digital skills, supported by school policies that encourage innovative learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal’s role as a change agent in improving organizational performance at SMAN 1 Siluq Ngurai, Kutai Barat Regency. Employing a qualitative approach with a case study method, the research explores the processes, strategies, and dynamics of change through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the principal implemented several key strategies, including administrative digitalization, regular teacher training, the establishment of a collaborative culture, and data-driven school governance. The results indicate significant improvements in administrative efficiency, enhanced teacher pedagogical competence, and strengthened instructional innovation. Furthermore, the school’s organizational performance scores increased consistently from 2021 to 2024, demonstrating the principal’s success in embedding change within the school’s culture and management system. This study confirms that visionary and adaptive change leadership is essential for successful educational transformation, particularly in schools located in resource-limited areas.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Utilization of sugarcane bagasse waste with PVA binder as raw material for the manufacture of porous materials that function as soundproofing. Porous materials are materials with cavities or pores within their structure. The pores in porous materials can be filled with gas, air, liquid, or fluid, depending on the type of material used. Porous materials can be used as sound-absorbing materials. The research used an experimental method. In this study, the binder mass used was the same while the bagasse mass was varied to obtain a ratio of binder to bagasse of 17:6, 17:15, 17:24. The design of the porous material obtained an average pore diameter of 256.6 μm, the average distance between pores obtained was 780.85 μm and the fiber diameter obtained was 357 μm. Kinematically, the pores formed in the porous material are closed pores. The percentage of porosity in the porous material is 76% and the resistivity value is 326.271 Pa.s/m2. The physical properties of the porous material made from sugarcane fiber with a PVA binder, in sample 1 with a thickness of 1.4 cm has a water content of 28% and a density value of 0.3002 gr/cm3. In sample 2 with a thickness of 1.7 cm, the water content is 25% and the density value is 0.3596 gr/cm^3. In sample 3 with a thickness of 2.0 cm, the water content is 24% and the density value is 0.3949 gr/cm^3. Based on the research results, the porosity of the porous material made from sugarcane fiber with a PVA binder produces a material with an average pore diameter of 256.6 μm or 256600 nm. Based on its size, this porosity is included in the macropore section, namely the type of pores with a size larger than 50 nm, more suitable for absorbing low-frequency sound.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and implement a Discovery Learning model on the topic of Ecosystem Balance in the fifth grade at SD Negeri 1. The implementation procedure covers six stages: providing stimulation, identifying problems, data collection, information processing, verification, and generalization. The learning was conducted for 3 sessions (105 minutes) involving 14 students. The results showed a significant increase in student learning activity, understanding of ecosystem balance concepts, and environmental awareness. The average learning outcome reached 85.7 with a classical completeness of 92.8%. The challenges faced included limited group discussion time and difficulties for some students in analyzing cause-and-effect relationships, which were addressed through intensive guidance and the use of interactive visual media. The conclusion of this study is that the Discovery Learning model is effective in enhancing students' conceptual understanding and critical thinking skills on ecosystem material. Follow-up in the form of applying this model to other IPAS topics with additional time for deeper exploration.

Abstract

The exponential growth of artificial intelligence has sparked crucial debates regarding the potential weakening of teachers' roles in educating students. This article argues that the role of teachers as humanistic educators cannot possibly be replaced by technology. By using a systematic literature review method, this article proposes strengthening the role of teachers elementary school through a critical pedagogy framework harmonized with the local wisdom of Pupuh Sunda. Critical pedagogy rooted in Freire's thinking provides a foundation for developing students' critical awareness of technology. Meanwhile, the teaching of Pupuh Sunda offers a treasure trove of noble values such as patience, empathy, and responsibility that are relevant to character education. The synthesis between critical pedagogy and Pupuh Sunda produces transformative teaching strategies, where teachers not only transfer knowledge but also facilitate critical reflection, build character, and cultivate cultural sensitivity. In conclusion, the era of artificial intelligence actually serves as a momentum for teachers to reaffirm their urgency as agents of humanization that cannot be replaced by any sophisticated algorithm.

Abstract

This study examines the integration of media development and digital ethics in the utilization of Canva as a learning media for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in the digital era. The purpose of this research is to analyze how Canva can be effectively used as a PAI learning tool while applying digital ethics principles in accordance with Islamic values. This study employs a library research method by collecting data through the review of books, journals, scientific articles, and digital documents related to learning media, educational technology, and digital ethics. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively to identify concepts, principles, and best practices in using Canva in PAI classrooms. The results indicate that Canva enables teachers to present abstract materials in a visual, engaging, and interactive manner, thereby enhancing students’ understanding and learning motivation. Moreover, the application of digital ethics ensures that media usage remains aligned with moral values and Islamic character, making PAI learning effective, creative, and responsible.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji transformasi pembelajaran Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) di era digital dengan fokus pada strategi penanaman nilai-nilai Pancasila secara efektif pada peserta didik sekolah dasar. Perkembangan teknologi digital menghadirkan tantangan seperti ketimpangan akses digital, keterbatasan kompetensi guru digital, paparan misinformasi dan konten negatif, serta meningkatnya distraksi digital pada anak. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi pustaka dengan menelaah berbagai buku, jurnal ilmiah, dan publikasi akademik yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital berbasis etika Pancasila, penerapan blended learning, penggunaan media naratif digital seperti e-storybook dan podcast, serta pemanfaatan game edukasi bernilai dapat memperkuat internalisasi nilai-nilai Pancasila. Selain itu, kolaborasi lintas sektor penting untuk membangun etika kewargaan digital dan menjadikan Pancasila sebagai pedoman moral di ruang virtual. Secara keseluruhan, transformasi pembelajaran digital PPKn merupakan langkah strategi untuk membentuk peserta didik yang berkarakter Pancasila, beretika digital, dan mampu menjadi warga negara yang bertanggung jawab di era globalisasi digital.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh kelincahan kaki, koordinasi mata- tangan, dan persepsi kinestetik terhadap keterampilan pukulan forehand pada atlet tenis meja di Kabupaten Bantaeng. Ukuran sampel untuk penelitian ini adalah 10. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, yaitu sebuah studi untuk menentukan apakah ada pengaruh variabel x terhadap variabel Y. Secara teknis, hasil dari instrumen-instrumen ini diukur pada semua sampel melalui One Group pretest dan posttest. Kemudian, uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan SPSS.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the main challenges faced by student teachers during their Field Experience Practice (PPL) in delivering Hadith lessons, as well as to identify effective solutions and strategies implemented at SD-IT Putri Abu Hurairah Mataram. Hadith instruction is an essential subject in Integrated Islamic Elementary Schools (SD-IT), requiring creative teaching methods to ensure that students understand and memorize the material effectively. This research employs a qualitative case study approach with a descriptive method, based on observations, reflections, and daily notes recorded by PPL students during the even semester of the 2025/2026 academic year. The findings reveal several key challenges in teaching Hadith, including: (1) The PPL period coincided with the Mid-Semester Summative Assessment (STS), which divided students’ focus and motivation; (2) Classroom management during high-concentration materials; and (3) Limited teaching strategies by the student teachers. To overcome these obstacles, PPL students implemented several strategic solutions, such as: (1) Applying the Talqin method combined with repetition (Murojaah Jama’i) to reinforce memorization; and (2) Utilizing audio-visual media (e.g., YouTube) to contextualize Hadith and make lessons more engaging. The study concludes that successful Hadith learning amid these challenges requires adaptive and innovative teaching, particularly by integrating traditional methods with digital tools. These findings are expected to offer practical insights for future PPL programs and serve as a useful reference for Islamic education teachers seeking to enhance the quality of Hadith instruction in Islamic elementary schools.
