Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the need for the transformation of social studies learning in grade IV of elementary school which requires the development of critical thinking skills through a contextual and meaningful learning approach. The Merdeka Curriculum emphasizes the importance of implementing learning methods that encourage high-level thinking skills (HOTS) and the formation of Pancasila student profiles. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the implementation of the Deep learning approach in social studies learning and assess its contribution to improving students' critical thinking skills. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data was obtained through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The results of the study show that the application of the Deep learning approach is carried out consistently through learning that integrates mindful, meaningful, and joyful learning. The teacher acts as a facilitator who guides students to think reflectively, analytically, and is able to relate concepts to real experiences. This implementation has been proven to improve students' critical thinking skills which is reflected in the ability to put forward logical arguments, evaluate information, and conduct self-reflection. Thus, the Deep learning approach makes social studies learning more active, contextual, and contributes to the development of critical thinking skills that are relevant to the demands of 21st century education.

Abstract

The principal’s approach to improving teacher professionalism is one of the efforts to improve teacher performance in the learning process The title of the research is the principal’s approach to improving the professionalism of the teachers at the Pembina Soppeng State Kindergarten, Lalabata Distric, Soppeng Regency. The purpose of this study is to examine, analyze the principal’s approach in improving the professionalism of teachers at the Soppeng State Kindergarten, Lalabata District, Soppeng Regency. This research method uses a qualitative approach, Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation, The research subjects are school supervisors, teachers, school committees, and community leaders. The results of this study indicate: 1) The principal’s approach in improving the professional performance of teachers at the Pembina Soppeng State Kindergarten, Lalabata Distruct, Soppeng Regency was implemented well through developing teacher abilities in the learning process, increasing teacher motivation by creating a conducive and harmonious situation, fulfilling the need for facilities and infrastructure, holding the necessary training, providing opportunities to continue education, placing teachers according to their, 2) Supporting and inhibiting factors include: a) enforcing teacher discipline, b) improving teacher behavioral standards, c) enforcing school regulations , remote teacher residence, inadequate facilities, and low community participation.

Abstract

The ability to solve mathematical problems is a crucial skill in the educational process, yet various studies show that this ability remains low among most students in Indonesia. One available option is the use of interactive media, Articulate Storyline, with an ethnomathematics approach. This study aims to systematically review the results of studies discussing the effectiveness of this media in developing mathematical problem-solving skills. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA framework. Data were collected through Google Scholar with specific inclusion criteria, resulting in 30 relevant articles published in the 2020–2025 period. The results of the study indicate that the ethnomathematics-based Articulate Storyline is consistently able to help students through the stages of problem-solving, from understanding the problem, planning strategies, implementing solutions, to broadcasting results. In conclusion, the use of this media effectively supports efforts to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and has the potential to become an important strategy in mathematics.

Abstract

This study aims to describe teachers’ and students’ perceptions of the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG) and its influence on student attendance at SDN Inti Sungai Miai 11. Using a qualitative case study approach through interviews, observations, and document analysis, the findings show that the MBG program positively contributes to students’ health, motivation, and school attendance. Teachers and students reported that the program helps fulfill daily nutritional needs, enhances learning focus, and increases enthusiasm for attending school, while also reducing the economic burden on low-income families. Despite these benefits, challenges remain, including limited funding, menu variation, and the lack of nutrition specialists. Overall, the MBG program is considered effective in improving student attendance and supporting equitable access to nutrition in elementary schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan asesmen formatif berbasis pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) berbantuan Kahoot pada pembelajaran IPA kelas IV MIS Baitur Rohman. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, dan Disseminate). Analisis data meliputi hasil validasi, uji kepraktisan, dan uji efektivitas produk. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa asesmen yang dikembangkan layak dan memenuhi kriteria kualitas instrumen. Validasi bahasa memperoleh skor 76,6% (kategori valid), validasi materi 90% (kategori sangat valid), dan validasi asesmen 89% (kategori sangat valid). Uji kepraktisan melalui angket respons siswa menunjukkan bahwa asesmen formatif berbantuan Kahoot sangat praktis digunakan dengan rata-rata skor 96,3%. Siswa menilai asesmen mudah dipahami, praktis untuk di kerjakan, dan memberikan pengalaman belajar yang menyenangkan. Uji efektivitas dari analisis hasil belajar uji coba produk secara terbatas menunjukkan persentase 86,6%, yang berarti asesmen formatif berbasis TaRL berbantuan Kahoot efektif karena telah melampaui batas minimal ≤85%. Selain itu, ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai 93,3%, juga melebihi KKM yang ditetapkan. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan TaRL mampu mengakomodasi perbedaan kemampuan siswa sehingga pembelajaran menjadi lebih tepat sasaran. Dengan demikian, asesmen formatif berbantuan Kahoot yang dikembangkan terbukti valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPA kelas IV

Abstract

The primary objective of this research was to describe the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model to enhance the geographical analysis ability of sixth-grade students in science and social studies at SD Negeri 2 Harian. The study, conducted over three meetings, utilized authentic problems concerning the characteristics of the six continents, contextualized with the local environment of Lake Toba. PBL was executed through five core stages: problem orientation, group organization, independent and group investigation, product development/presentation, and evaluation. Digital technologies, including Google Classroom, YouTube Edu, and Google Slides, were integrated to foster interaction and digital literacy. The results indicate a significant improvement in students' ability to recognize continents, analyze geographical features, and correlate natural conditions with key countries. Furthermore, students demonstrated development in critical thinking, communication, and collaborative skills. Although challenges such as unstable internet and low digital literacy were encountered, they were successfully mitigated using offline media, technical scaffolding, and template provision. In conclusion, the PBL model proved effective and relevant in enhancing geographical analysis and digital literacy in the elementary school context. Abstract

This research aims to develop syllable card media to improve early reading skills in elementary schools. The research method used is RnD with the ADDIE development model: analyze, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted at State Elementary School 060820 Medan City with 22 students as subjects. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, documentation, questionnaires, and tests. The results of the study indicate that the syllable cards met the validity criteria, with a score of 84% from the material expert validator, 82% from the media expert validator, and 92% from the language expert validator, with an average validation score of 86%, categorized as very valid. The developed syllable card media product also met the criteria of being very practical, based on teacher responses of 94%. The syllable cards were also declared effective in improving students' reading skills, with a pretest score of 68% and a posttest score increasing to 92%, indicating a significant increase of 24%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the developed syllable card learning media has met the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness, making it suitable for use as a learning medium to improve students' early reading skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika pada warga belajar Paket C di PKBM Al-Manar. Permasalahan awal penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar matematika warga belajar, di mana 72% warga belajar tidak lulus, serta kurangnya inovasi media pembelajaran oleh tutor yang menyebabkan rendahnya hasil belajar belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah 13 warga belajar Paket C kelas 11 di PKBM Al-Manar. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan adalah gamifikasi konten melalui platform Educaplay, diterapkan dengan pendekatan Andragogi. Materi yang difokuskan adalah bilangan pangkat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran gamifikasi educaplay sangat berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar matematika, pada pertemuan I sebelum menggunakan educaplay terdapat 0% warga belajar yang mencapai KKM, pertemuan II 15,38% mencapai KKM, siklus II pertemuan I 46,15% mencapai KKM dan pertemuan II 69,23% mencapai KKM.

Abstract

One of he essential aspects of learning mathematics is concept udestanding. Students need to understand the basic concepts of mathematics well. Concept of understand ability is often an obstacle or same student so innovative learning approaches ae needed to help students overcome these obstacles. The mathematical conceptual understanding ability of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai is still relatively low. This can be seen from the learning outcomes, which show that most students have not yet mastered mathematical concepts thoroughly. The low level of conceptual understanding affects students’ overall learning achievements. This study aims to improve the mathematical conceptual understanding ability of fifth-grade students at UPT SDN 019 Muara Uwai by implementing an appropriate learning approach. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. The subjects of this study were all fifth-grade students, totaling 15 students. Data collection techniques used in this study included interviews, observations, documentation, and tests. The collected data were analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. Based on the research results, in the first meeting of Cycle I, only 9 students (60%) achieved the minimum mastery criteria with an average score of 68. In the second meeting of Cycle I, the number of students who met the criteria increased to 11 students (73,33%) with an average score of 76. In the first meeting of Cycle II, 13 students (86,67%) achieved mastery with an average score of 80. This increased further in the second meeting of Cycle II to 14 students (93,3%) with an average score of 85. Based on these results,it can be concluded that application of the STAD learning model wih the help of the corner clock can improve the concept understanding ability of fifth-grade students of Muara Uwai 019.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan menulis isi cerpen kreatif pada siswa kelas V MIN 1 Pesawaran yang disebabkan oleh media pembelajaran konvensional yang kurang menarik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengembangkan, menentukan kelayakan, dan menguji efektivitas media digital storytelling berbasis website yang mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai Islam. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE dan desain kuasi-eksperimen. Validasi awal menunjukkan media sangat valid dengan skor rata-rata 93,61%, uji praktikalitas menghasilkan nilai 90,66% dengan respon guru 95,0% dan siswa 92,5%. Uji efektivitas menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group dengan kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol; skor post-test kelompok eksperimen meningkat signifikan (88,75%) dibanding kontrol (75,20%) dengan N-Gain 0,69 kategori tinggi. Kesimpulan media ini layak, praktis, dan efektif meningkatkan kemampuan kreatif menulis cerpen siswa, serta menjadi inovasi pembelajaran berbasis teknologi yang relevan dengan nilai Islam dan literasi digital di MIN 1 Pesawaran.
