Abstract

The learning process of Pancasila Education in elementary schools requires instructional media that can facilitate student participation and contextual understanding of civic values. Conventional learning media often limit student involvement, particularly in value-oriented subjects. This article presents the development of a Roblox game-based learning medium designed to support Pancasila Education learning in elementary schools. The media is organized as an interactive virtual environment that combines visual elements and game-based activities to encourage student engagement. Media feasibility was examined through expert appraisal and user feedback to identify its appropriateness for classroom use. The findings indicate that the developed media demonstrates adequate feasibility and receives positive responses from teachers and students. These results suggest that game-based learning media can support Pancasila Education learning by providing a more engaging and student-centered learning experience.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan literasi sampah kemasan makanan ringan (snack) sebagai model pembelajaran kontekstual dalam upaya memperkuat Profil Pelajar Pancasila di SDN 007 Long Mesangat. Literasi sampah digunakan sebagai media untuk mendekatkan siswa pada realitas lingkungan sekaligus menanamkan karakter beriman, bertakwa kepada Tuhan YME, berakhlak mulia, dan bergotong royong. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan sampah snack dalam pembelajaran kontekstual mampu meningkatkan kesadaran ekologis siswa secara signifikan. Temuan penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa melalui kegiatan memilah, mengolah, dan mendaur ulang sampah menjadi karya kreatif, siswa tidak hanya memahami materi secara teoritis tetapi juga menunjukkan perubahan perilaku yang selaras dengan dimensi Profil Pelajar Pancasila. Model ini terbukti efektif mengubah limbah menjadi sumber belajar yang bermakna bagi siswa sekolah dasar di daerah pedesaan. Simpulan penelitian menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis lingkungan lokal mempercepat internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter pada peserta didik di SDN 007 Long Mesangat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) serta mengetahui keefektifannya dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh terbatasnya bahan ajar yang efektif dan interaktif, sehingga pembelajaran masih bersifat monoton, kurang melibatkan siswa secara aktif, dan berdampak pada rendahnya pemahaman konsep IPA. Selain itu, pembelajaran masih didominasi metode konvensional dan belum mengaitkan materi dengan pengalaman nyata siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas ahli media, ahli materi, guru, serta siswa kelas V sekolah dasar yang dibagi ke dalam kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar validasi dan tes pemahaman konsep berupa pretest dan posttest. Analisis data meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji independent sample t-test, serta analisis N-Gain. Hasil uji keefektifan menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata N-Gain pemahaman konsep IPA siswa pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,7853 dengan kategori tinggi dan persentase efektivitas sebesar 78,53%, sedangkan kelas kontrol berada pada kategori sedang. Hasil uji Independent Samples t-Test terhadap N-Gain menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) < 0,001, yang menandakan adanya perbedaan peningkatan pemahaman konsep yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning yang dikembangkan sangat efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' understanding of plant parts in elementary schools. This study was motivated by the low level of students' conceptual understanding caused by the dominant use of conventional learning models. The study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a pretest–posttest control group design. The subjects were fourth-grade elementary school students consisting of an experimental class and a control class. Data collection was carried out through tests and analyzed using the N-Gain calculation. The results showed that the increase in understanding of students taught using the PBL model was higher than that of students taught using conventional methods. Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL model has a positive effect on students' understanding of plant parts.

Abstract

This research examined the methods and applications of criticism toward Israiliyyat in Qur’anic exegesis, focusing on efforts to preserve the purity of divine revelation from narratives originating in the traditions of the People of the Book. The study aimed to explain the concept and classification of Israiliyyat, the critical methodologies developed by classical and modern Qur’anic exegetes, and the practical application of such criticism in interpreting Qur’anic verses. This research employed a qualitative descriptive-analytical method through library research, using the Qur’an and authoritative tafsīr works as primary sources. The findings revealed that Muslim scholars formulated systematic approaches to criticizing Israiliyyat through source criticism, isnād analysis, matn evaluation, and theological as well as rational considerations. These critical approaches were clearly applied in the works of exegetes such as al-Ṭabarī, Ibn Kathīr, al-Qurṭubī, and modern scholars including Muhammad ‘Abduh, Rashīd Riḍā, and Sayyid Quṭb. The study concluded that a selective and proportional attitude toward Israiliyyat is essential to ensure that Qur’anic interpretation remains grounded in authentic revelation, sound theology, and the guiding purpose of the Qur’an.

Abstract

This article discusses the use of Edpuzzle-based digital media as an innovative approach to strengthening elementary students’ learning motivation. In many classrooms, learning activities are still dominated by teacher explanations and textbook-based instruction, which often limits students’ engagement and enthusiasm. This study applies interactive video media supported by Edpuzzle to create a more dynamic and student-centered learning environment. Data were collected through classroom observations and students’ responses after the learning activities. The findings indicate that the use of interactive digital videos encourages students to pay more attention, participate more actively, and showgreater interest in the learning process. The combination of visual content andembedded questions helps students stay focused and emotionally involved inclassroom activities. Therefore, Edpuzzle-based digital media can be considered aneffective pedagogical innovation for strengthening students’ learning motivation in elementary education.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya puisi sebagai karya sastra yang tidak hanya sebagai sarana ekspresi estetis, namun juga sebagai media penanaman nilai pendidikan karakter peserta didik. Kajian terhadap puisi karya peserta didik, khususnya pada jenjang Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) masih relatif terbatas, padahal karya-karya tersebut berpotensi merepresentasikan pengalaman, pandangan hidup, serta proses internalisasi nilai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mengkaji nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam puisi karya peserta didik kelas X Desain Komunikasi Visual (DKV) SMK Kesatrian Purwokerto. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan rancangan kajian sastra, sedangkan data berupa teks puisi karya peserta didik yang dianalisis menggunakan model analisis interaktif Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa puisi karya peserta didik memuat beragam nilai pendidikan karakter yang mengacu pada 18 nilai pendidikan karakter Kemendikbud berupa nilai tanggung jawab, mandiri, kerja keras, disiplin, rasa ingin tahu, menghargai prestasi, kreatif, dan peduli sosial. Temuan pada penelitian menegaskan bahwa puisi karya peserta didik dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media reflektif dan efektif dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter di lingkungan SMK.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze teacher performance and the obstacles faced in implementing thematic learning SD Swasta Islam PERWIS-SKM Padangsidimpuan. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations, and documentation of grade III and VI teachers. The results of the study indicate that teacher performance in planning, implementing, and assessing thematic learning has been running quite well, demonstrated by teachers' efforts in preparing lesson plans based on the 2013 Curriculum, implementing varied learning methods such as discussions, questions and answers, presentations, and outdoor learning, and providing evaluation through observation and assessment of student work. However, several obstacles were still found, such as difficulties in integrating between subjects, limited learning facilities, differences in student abilities, and administrative burdens that reduce planning time. Teachers attempted to overcome these obstacles through media modifications, collaboration with other teachers, adjustments to learning methods, and additional assistance for students who needed it. The results of this study emphasize the importance of school facility support and ongoing training to improve the effectiveness of thematic learning implementation in elementary schools.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the differences in IPAS learning achievement between students who apply the Window Shopping learning model and students who apply the Gallery Walk learning model in fourth-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun, and to determine the effectiveness of the Window Shopping learning model in teaching IPAS on the material of cultural diversity and local wisdom for fourth-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Ambarbinangun. The type of research used in this study is experimental quantitative research with a Non-Equivalent Control Group design. The population of this study is 48, and the sample used consisted of 24 students from grade IV A as the control class using the Gallery Walk learning model and grade IV B as the experimental class using the Window Shopping learning model. The data collection methods used were observation and tests. The analysis techniques employed included prerequisite tests using normality tests and homogeneity tests, followed by hypothesis testing using t-tests or difference tests with an Independent Sample T-Test. The results of this study concluded that the Window Shopping learning model is effective in improving students' learning achievement in the IV-grade Social Science (IPAS) subject, particularly in the material on cultural diversity and local wisdom. This can be demonstrated by the differences between the experimental class and the control class. The study results showed the average learning outcomes for the experimental class were 60.62 in the pretest and 72.5 in the posttest. Meanwhile, the learning outcomes for the control class were 38.12 in the pretest and 51.04 in the posttest. The data processing technique used the t-test with Independent Sample T-Test. The Window Shopping learning model is more effective with a Sig. value of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid technological advancement, education is required not only to produce academically excellent graduates but also individuals equipped with adequate life skills. This study aims to analyze curriculum management in enhancing students’ life skills at MA Sunan Ampel and MA Nurun Najah in Gerokgak, Buleleng, Bali. Life skills are essential in addressing the complexity of contemporary life challenges. This research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings revealed that the two madrasahs adopted different approaches in designing, implementing, and evaluating life skills-oriented curricula. MA Sunan Ampel emphasized vocational skill development such as automotive, tailoring, and screen printing, along with scouting activities as a means of character building. Meanwhile, MA Nurun Najah developed life skills through P5 activities (Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students), Islamic values habituation, and enhancement of digital competencies. The strategies applied by each institution were tailored to their respective social and geographical contexts. Challenges faced included limited human resources, inadequate facilities, and insufficient external support. This research offers both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of adaptive and contextual curriculum management aimed at producing graduates who are not only academically competent but also well-prepared for real-life challenge
