Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-book learning medium on basic basketball techniques that can be used effectively in the Physical Education, Sports, and Health (PJOK) learning process. The main problem in basketball learning is the limited availability of digital media that can facilitate conceptual understanding through visual, interactive, and independent approaches. The research method used the Research and Development (R&D) model with the ADDIE approach, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects consisted of 22 tenth-grade students from SMK Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan and involved subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts as validators. The validation results showed that the E-book received a very feasible rating from all validators, while limited trials showed positive responses and increased student learning activities. This product has been proven effective in improving students' understanding of basic basketball techniques and supporting technology-based independent learning. Thus, this E-book is feasible to be implemented as an alternative innovative learning media in PJOK subjects.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze elementary school management in handling students from marginalized social environments at Kanoman Elementary School. The background of the study is based on the socioeconomic conditions of the community surrounding the school, which is vulnerable to problems of poverty, domestic violence, crime, and low parental education, which impact student learning motivation, behavior, and discipline. This study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. Informants consisted of the principal, teachers, school committee members, and parents. The results show that school management is implemented through four main functions: (1) Planning, by developing a program for handling problem students based on empathy and social needs; (2) Organizing, through the formation of a Problem Student Handling Team (TPSB) involving teachers and the school committee; (3) Actuating, through implementing interventions such as home visits, character development, simple counseling services, motivational classes, and collaboration with village officials; and (4) Controlling, through routine evaluations, monitoring student behavior, and the application of non-violent discipline. This study concludes that a humanistic, collaborative, and character-focused management approach can create a safer, more inclusive learning environment that supports the development of students from marginalized families. These findings can serve as a reference for other schools in developing strategies for managing students with social problems.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the integration of philosophical reflection and the application of contemporary management strategies in the management of Islamic education at the Azzakiah Islamic Boarding School in Cileunyi. The study focuses on how Islamic philosophical principles can be used as a conceptual basis in facing the tide of modernization marked by technological developments, globalization, and rapid social dynamics. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a case study design through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and review of official documents. The results of the study show that although the pesantren has a philosophical orientation based on morals and spirituality, its application in the managerial realm is still limited. Pesantren have begun to adopt modern technology and management methods such as benchmarking and the PDCA cycle, but these applications are not yet fully integrated with Islamic values. Teachers play an important role in shaping the character of santri, although teacher competency development programs are still not well structured. Based on these findings, it is necessary to reconstruct Islamic education management strategies that synergize philosophical reflection with modern management tools so that Islamic educational institutions can be more adaptive to the demands of the times while maintaining their Islamic identity.

Abstract

Riset ini berorientasi untuk menganalisis dampak gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah terhadap motivasi kerja guru di SMK Setia Budi Binjai. Kepemimpinan transformasional yang mengakomodasi dimensi idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, dan individualized consideration dipersepsikan berpotensi mengkonstruksi atmosfer kerja yang kondusif bagi akselerasi motivasi guru. Penelitian mengoperasionalisasikan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan populasi sekaligus sampel berjumlah 40 guru melalui teknik total sampling. Akuisisi data diimplementasikan menggunakan kuesioner, kemudian dianalisis melalui regresi linier sederhana dan verifikasi hipotesis disertai uji normalitas, linearitas, serta homogenitas. Output penelitian menunjukkan nilai t_hitung sebesar 6,255 lebih superior dibandingkan t_tabeI pada threshold signifikan 0,05 yaitu 2,028, sehingga H₀ direjeksi dan H_a terakuisisi. Temuan empiris tersebut menegaskan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan transformasional kepala sekolah memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja guru. Implikasi riset ini mengindikasikan bahwa implementasi kepemimpinan transformasional secara konsisten dapat mengoptimalkan komitmen dan performa guru, serta menjadi referensi dalam pengembangan kepemimpinan sekolah untuk mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di SMK Setia Budi Binjai

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of principals’ managerial supervision and instructional leadership in improving the quality of the learning process. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies conducted at educational institutions that have consistently implemented supervision and teacher development programs. Data analysis was carried out thematically using an interactive model comprising data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with data validity ensured through source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that the systematic implementation of principals’ managerial supervision through planning, organizing, implementation, and program evaluation plays a significant role in enhancing the orderliness of instructional administration, compliance with academic standards, and teachers’ professional responsibility. In addition, principals’ instructional leadership is reflected in their active involvement in supervising the learning process, conducting classroom observations, providing constructive feedback, and facilitating teachers’ professional development. The synergy between managerial supervision and instructional leadership contributes significantly to the improvement of the quality of the learning process, making it more structured, interactive, and oriented toward continuous improvement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya media pembelajaran konkret dalam melatih konsentrasi anak usia dini. Fokus utama penelitian adalah implementasi Busy Book sebagai alat stimulasi perkembangan kognitif di TK Happy Holy Kids KC Jambi. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, hasil observasi menunjukkan bahwa media interaktif berbahan flanel ini mampu mengatasi kendala rendahnya fokus anak. Temuan signifikan mencatat adanya peningkatan rentang perhatian anak secara drastis, dari semula 4-5 menit menjadi 10-15 menit. Berbagai aktivitas seperti labirin hewan dan puzzle sayuran terbukti efektif merangsang kemampuan berpikir logis dan pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa Busy Book merupakan inovasi media yang valid dan praktis untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar sambil bermain yang kondusif bagi anak usia 5-6 tahun

Abstract

This study investigates the effectiveness of the Deep Learning approach combined with the Mind Mapping strategy in enhancing the motivation and mastery of basic vocabulary among 8th-grade students at UPT SMP Negeri 2 Galesong Selatan. Limited understanding of essential English vocabulary was identified as a critical issue in the target class. The theoretical framework guiding this research is Allan Paivio’s Dual-Coding Theory, which posits that processing information through both verbal and visual channels significantly improves memory retention. Employing a qualitative case study design, the research utilized pretest and posttest data as the primary evaluation instruments. The results demonstrate a substantial increase in students' vocabulary mastery following the intervention. The average pretest score of 40.0 rose considerably in the posttest, particularly in categories like Body Parts, which showed a remarkable increase from 9 points to 189 points. This improvement confirms that the integration of the Deep Learning approach and Mind Mapping strategy effectively fosters a learning experience that is meaningful, mindful, and joyful (Meaningful, Mindful, Joyful Learning), thereby supporting deeper and more robust vocabulary acquisition.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the management of the madrasah principal in improving teachers’ understanding of the use of modern technology at MTs Nurul Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa, identify the obstacles encountered, and describe the efforts undertaken by the principal to overcome these challenges. This research employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, with the principal and teachers of MTs Nurul Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa as the research subjects. The findings indicate that the principal has implemented management functions consisting of planning, organizing, implementing, and supervising in enhancing teachers’ understanding of modern technology utilization. The obstacles faced include differences in teachers’ levels of digital literacy, limited facilities and infrastructure, and teachers’ limited time to participate in training programs. The efforts made by the principal include conducting training and professional development for teachers, academic supervision, mentoring in the use of technology for teaching and learning, and providing supporting facilities. This study concludes that effective madrasah principal management plays a significant role in improving teachers’ understanding of modern technology and contributes to the enhancement of learning quality in the madrasah.

Abstract

Environmental problems in elementary schools are often caused by low student awareness of environmental cleanliness. One effort made to overcome this problem is through the implementation of the LISA (See Trash, Pick It Up) Program. This study aims to describe the implementation of the LISA Program in increasing students' environmental awareness at SDN 007 Long Mesangat. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the research subjects being students and teachers at SDN 007 Long Mesangat. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the LISA Program is able to increase students' environmental awareness, as demonstrated by changes in student behavior in maintaining school cleanliness, such as disposing of trash in its proper place and picking up trash found in the school environment without being instructed by teachers. The LISA Program also contributes to the formation of a sustainable environmentally conscious character

Abstract

This study aims to systematically explore the fundamental challenges and effective strategies implemented by elementary school teachers in achieving an optimal balance between their primary teaching duties in the classroom and their responsibilities in fostering extracurricular activities. This study employed a qualitative approach with a case study method to analyze the teachers' lived experiences. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis related to time management and curriculum. The results revealed several key challenges, such as tight time management, high administrative burden, physical and mental exhaustion, and limited resources. Schedule conflicts between core lessons and extracurricular activities often posed a significant obstacle. To address these challenges, teachers implemented several effective strategies. These strategies included: (1) careful planning and scheduling; (2) delegation of tasks and collaboration with fellow teachers or parents; (3) utilization of technology to improve administrative efficiency; and (4) development of stress management skills. In conclusion, although balancing teaching duties and fostering extracurricular activities is a complex challenge, teachers can manage it effectively with well-planned strategies and support from the school. This study recommends more flexible school policies and adequate resource allocation to support teachers' dual roles
