Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

The work discipline of teachers at State Special Schools in Kuningan Regency is considered suboptimal. Based on initial observations, the researcher suspects this is due to poor management of the school environment and school culture. Therefore, research is deemed necessary to verify this. This study used a survey method with a quantitative approach, along with correlational and regression techniques. Data collection was conducted through a Likert-scale questionnaire with 47 respondents, who were teachers at State Special Schools in Kuningan Regency. The data analysis results indicate that (1) School environmental management impacts teacher work discipline, (2) School culture impacts teacher work discipline, and (3) School environmental management and school culture jointly impact teacher work discipline. This study recommends improved planning in school environmental management, including the development of more targeted programs and budgets. Organizational skills also need to be improved by clarifying job descriptions and providing better direction to teachers. School culture needs to be strengthened by enforcing clear rules of conduct, educational quality values, and norms. These improvements can help build a more conducive school environment for teachers to carry out their duties with discipline and enthusiasm.

Keterampilan membaca pemahaman merupakan kemapuan dasar yang penting bagi siswa sekolah dasar dalam memahami informasi tertulis. Namun, pada kenyataanya masih ditemukan rendahnya keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa yang disebabkan oleh penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang variatife dan menarik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media flipchart terhadap keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas III UPT SDN 206 Gresik. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode pre-eksperimental desain tipe one group pretest – posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa kelas III yang seluruhnya dijadikan sample penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data dilakukan melalui uji normalitas Shapiro-Wilk dan uji hipotesis menggunakan Paired Sample T-Test dengan bantuan SPSS versi 22. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan nilai rata-rata pada keterampilan membaca pemahaman siswa dari 61,57 pada pretest menjadi 79,20 pada posttest. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, yang menandakan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan postest. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media flipchart berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan keterampilan membaca pemahaman kelas III UPT SDN 206 Gresik. Media flipchart dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia di sekolah dasar.

Literacy culture plays an important role in supporting the success of learning in elementary schools. However, based on conditions in the field, students’ reading interest still needs to be improved due to limited reading facilities and the lack of regular reading habits. This issue was also found at SDN Gandri 2, Pangkur District, Ngawi Regency, where literacy activities had not been optimally implemented. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ literacy culture and reading interest through the implementation of a Reading Corner (POCA) in the classroom. The activity employed a qualitative descriptive approach conducted through stages of observation, planning, implementation, mentoring, and evaluation. The participants were eight second-grade students of SDN Gandri 2, accompanied by KKN-T Berdampak students from Universitas PGRI Madiun and the classroom teacher. Data were collected through observation during the activity and analyzed based on program implementation indicators. The results showed an increase in students’ use of the reading corner, higher participation in reading activities, and positive responses and enthusiasm toward literacy activities. In addition, the classroom teacher continued to utilize the reading corner as part of daily learning activities. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Reading Corner (POCA) serves as an effective alternative to foster reading habits and strengthen literacy culture in elementary schools.

This study aims to analyze the validity of a science literacy-oriented learning assessment instrument assisted by memory flashcards on the Life Cycle of Living Things material for third-grade elementary school students. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques thru a validation questionnaire assessed by assessment experts, content experts, and two practitioner experts. The data was analyzed quantitatively and descriptively using a Likert scale and the feasibility percentage was calculated. The validation results show that this assessment instrument is considered highly valid, with an average percentage of 92% from assessment experts, 95% from content experts, and 96.2% from practitioner experts. Revisions based on validator suggestions focused on balancing the material (humans, animals, plants) and aligning the questions with the three aspects of scientific literacy (content, process, context). The conclusion of this research is that the learning assessment instrument developed with the aid of memory flashcards has met high validity criteria, is suitable for use, and has the potential to become an interactive and contextual assessment medium to support the science literacy of third-grade students according to the characteristics of Generation Alpha.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali secara mendalam karakteristik, metode pembelajaran, serta tantangan yang dihadapi dalam mendidik anak berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya tunarungu. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga berfokus pada upaya dan harapan para guru dalam mendukung perkembangan serta kemandirian siswa secara optimal. Penelitian ini juga bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana layanan inklusi bagi anak tunarungu diimplementasikan di Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri Saronggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif, yang memungkinkan peneliti memperoleh pemahaman yang lebih mendalam mengenai fenomena yang dikaji. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan layanan pendidikan bagi siswa tunarungu di SLB Negeri Saronggi dilakukan melalui program pembelajaran khusus. Program ini mencakup penggunaan media komunikasi visual seperti kartu huruf, poster, gambar, serta pemanfaatan bahasa isyarat sebagai alat bantu utama dalam proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan media tersebut terbukti membantu mengurangi hambatan belajar yang dialami oleh anak tunarungu, terutama dalam hal keterlambatan atau kesulitan memahami materi pelajaran. Hal ini disebabkan oleh keterbatasan mereka dalam mendengar dan berbicara, sehingga mereka lebih mengandalkan kemampuan visual dan intelektual untuk memahami informasi yang diberikan. Selain itu, di SLB tersebut juga menyediakan pembelajaran ekstrakurikuler untuk mendukung potensi serta minat bakat dari anak didiknya. Dengan dukungan yang sesuai, anak-anak tunarungu mampu mengikuti proses belajar secara lebih efektif dan mandiri.

This study aims to analyze the forms of ethnosocial transformation in inclusive education practices at the elementary school level, describe the relationship between inclusive education policies and ethnosocial values, and explain the role of ethnosocial transformation in bridging the gap between policy norms and inclusive education practices in elementary schools. The study employed a systematic literature review method using a descriptive qualitative approach with a policy analysis design based on literature review. Data were obtained through document analysis of national education regulations and relevant scholarly articles related to inclusive education and ethnosocial transformation. Data analysis was conducted using thematic content analysis and an interactive analysis model. The findings indicate that ethnosocial transformation in inclusive education at the elementary school level is manifested through changes in perspectives on justice and diversity, the strengthening of social relations and collaboration among school communities, and the transformation of inclusive pedagogical practices and classroom management. These findings affirm that ethnosocial values function as a bridge between policy norms and inclusive education practices; therefore, strengthening inclusive education requires strong policy integration accompanied by the transformation of social values and school culture

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan materi siklus rantai makanan secara mendalam melalui penggunaan media pembelajaran pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 009 Hutaraja. Latar belakang penelitian ini berangkat dari rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap konsep rantai makanan yang selama ini hanya diajarkan secara teoritis tanpa media konkret sehingga menyebabkan siswa sulit memahami alur perpindahan energi antarmakhluk hidup. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 28 siswa kelas V tahun ajaran 2024/2025. Media piramida rantai makanan digunakan sebagai alat bantu visual tiga dimensi untuk memudahkan siswa memahami peran produsen, konsumen I, konsumen II, konsumen III, serta predator puncak dalam ekosistem. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi aktivitas belajar siswa, tes hasil belajar, dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media piramida dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, terlihat dari peningkatan aktivitas belajar dan hasil tes. Presentase ketuntasan belajar siswa meningkat dari 57% pada pratindakan menjadi 78% pada siklus I dan 93% pada siklus II. Selain itu, siswa menunjukkan antusiasme dan keterlibatan yang lebih tinggi dalam pembelajaran berbasis media konkret. Dengan demikian, penerapan media piramida dalam pembelajaran materi siklus rantai makanan terbukti efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep, hasil belajar, serta motivasi siswa. Media piramida dapat dijadikan alternatif inovasi pembelajaran IPA di sekolah dasar untuk memperkuat pembelajaran berbasis visual, konkret, dan berpusat pada siswa.

This study was motivated by the low reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students in Indonesian language learning. This study aims to improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 002 Tanjung. This study is a classroom action research, conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. Based on the results of the research conducted through two cycles, in cycle I meeting 1, the number of students who completed the test was 36.8% with a very low category, and in cycle I meeting 2, the number of students who completed the test was 47.4% with a very low category. In cycle II meeting 1, the number of students who passed increased to 63.2% in the low category, and in cycle II meeting 2, the number of students who passed was 78.9% in the moderate category. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that the application of the CIRC model with the help of pictures can improve the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SDN 002 Tanjung in Indonesian language.

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh sering terjadinya kesalahan berbahasa dalam tulisan karangan narasi peserta didik, terutama pada penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca sesuai kaidah Ejaan Bahasa Indonesia yang Disempurnakan (EYD). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca, serta mengetahui kesalahan yang sering muncul dalam karangan narasi peserta didik kelas IV SD Negeri Salamjajar Kecamatan Cisitu Kabupaten Sumedang Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi karangan narasi hasil tulisan peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peserta didik masih banyak melakukan kesalahan dalam penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca. Total keseluruhan kesalahan yang ditemukan adalah sebanyak 88 kesalahan, yang terdiri atas 42 kesalahan huruf kapital dan 46 kesalahan tanda baca. Hal ini mencerminkan rendahnya pengetahuan peserta didik terhadap kaidah penulisan yang baik dan benar. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan pembelajaran yang lebih terarah dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis peserta didik, khususnya dalam penggunaan huruf kapital dan tanda baca yang sesuai dengan kaidah EYD.

This study aims to analyze the historical development of the philosophy of sciencefrom the classical, medieval, modern, to contemporary periods, as well as toexamine the contribution of each period in shaping contemporary scientificparadigms. This study is based on the understanding that the philosophy of sciencecannot be separated from the dynamics of human intellectual history and the social,cultural, and intellectual contexts surrounding it. The research employs a libraryresearch method with a historical-philosophical approach through comparativeanalysis of the thoughts of philosophers and key works in the philosophy of scienceacross different historical periods. Data are obtained from relevant academicliterature, including books and scholarly journal articles. The findings indicate thatduring the classical period, the philosophy of science emphasized the search for theessence of knowledge through rationality and logic as the foundation of scientificinquiry. The medieval period was characterized by a synthesis of Greek philosophyand theological traditions in both Islamic and Christian thought, resulting in anunderstanding of knowledge as a unity of reason and revelation. The modern periodmarked a significant shift toward rationalism, empiricism, and the development ofscientific methods based on observation and experimentation, leading to theseparation of philosophy from science. Meanwhile, the contemporary period ischaracterized by criticism of positivism, the emergence of methodological pluralism,and critical reflections on ethical, social, and cultural dimensions of scientificpractice. This study concludes that the development of the philosophy of science isdynamic and contextual, making historical understanding essential for building acritical and reflective scientific framework.
