Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) strategy on the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri Kaliurang 1. The research was motivated by declining literacy trends, as evidenced by national assessment data and school-level reports, which indicated that only 35.7% of students met the Minimum Completeness Criteria in reading comprehension during the pretest phase. Using a mixed-methods sequential explanatory design, the study integrated quantitative data from pretest-posttest results with qualitative insights from observations, interviews, and documentation. Over three intervention sessions, students engaged in structured QAR phases concept introduction, modeling, independent practice, and reflection. The findings revealed a significant improvement in reading comprehension, with posttest results showing 78.6% of students achieving the minimum completeness criteria in. Qualitative analysis further highlighted enhanced metacognitive awareness, reduced reliance on teacher guidance, and improved collaborative discussion skills. These results confirm QAR’s effectiveness as a cognitive scaffold that systematically transforms students’ reading habits from passive reception to active, structured inquiry. The study contributes to literacy education by offering an evidence-based strategy aligned with the Merdeka Belajar curriculum and the “8 Profil Lulusan” framework, while also suggesting the need for differentiated instruction and further research on QAR’s applicability to digital and multimodal texts.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of science process skills (SPS) among third-grade students at SDN Triwung Kidul II, Probolinggo City. The study used a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques including interviews, observation, and documentation. The results indicate that the implementation of SPS was carried out through simple experiments, group discussions, and direct observation. Students became more active in learning and trained in critical and analytical thinking. However, the implementation of SPS still faced obstacles such as limited teaching aids, learning time, and student readiness. In conclusion, the implementation of SPS at this school is progressing quite well, although improvements to facilities, teacher training, and more innovative learning strategies are needed.

Abstract

Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan (PPKn) memegang peran penting dalam memperkuat praktik pembelajaran Ilmu Sosial (IPS) di sekolah melalui internalisasi nilai moral, karakter, dan kewarganegaraan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi pustaka untuk menganalisis integrasi nilai Pancasila dan prinsip kewarganegaraan dalam strategi pengajaran IPS. Data dikumpulkan dari dokumen resmi, kurikulum, jurnal ilmiah, dan publikasi akademik terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PPKn berfungsi sebagai landasan nilai dalam pembelajaran IPS, membentuk disposisi warga negara yang toleran, bertanggung jawab, dan peduli sosial. Integrasi nilai Pancasila melalui pendekatan kontekstual dan reflektif memungkinkan pembelajaran IPS lebih holistik, menggabungkan aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap. Tantangan utama yang dihadapi guru meliputi keterbatasan kompetensi pedagogik, sumber daya, dan tekanan globalisasi. Namun, peluang muncul melalui desain kurikulum fleksibel, metode partisipatif, dan kegiatan nyata di sekolah dan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa integrasi PPKn dalam IPS tidak hanya meningkatkan kompetensi sosial, tetapi juga memperkuat karakter kebangsaan siswa, menjadikan IPS sebagai medium pendidikan karakter yang efektif.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' learning difficulties in understanding fractional exponents in grade IX junior high school students. The type of research used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The research subjects consisted of grade IX students who were selected based on the results of a diagnostic test on fractional exponents. Data collection techniques included tests, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that students experience several types of difficulties in learning fractional exponents, namely: (1) difficulty in understanding concepts, indicated by students' inability to interpret fractional exponents as roots and powers; (2) difficulty in using principles, characterized by errors in applying the properties of operations on exponents in practice questions; and (3) difficulty in solving verbal problems, where students are less able to transform story information into appropriate mathematical models. Factors causing learning difficulties include low mastery of the prerequisites for fractional operations, minimal in-depth understanding of concepts, and learning strategies that still focus on memorizing procedures. Efforts to overcome these difficulties include providing remedial guidance, using visual or concrete media, providing gradual practice, and conceptual-based learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and determine the improvement of children's cognitive development through puzzle games at Rehoboth Christian Kindergarten, Ambon. The research was motivated by the importance of cognitive stimulation during the golden age, where initial observations indicated suboptimal utilization of puzzle media for children aged 5-6 years. Teachers' methods lacked variety and children struggled with game instructions. Using Classroom Action Research based on Kemmis and McTaggart's model, the study was conducted in two cycles with 16 children from Group B (aged 5-6 years). Each cycle included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data collection employed participatory observation, teacher interviews, and documentation analysis. Results showed progressive improvement: only 15% of children reached "Very Good Development" (BSB) category in pre-cycle; this increased to 26.5% after Cycle I; and surged to 66.7% at the end of Cycle II. The findings conclude that planned and interactive implementation of puzzle games (numbers, geometry, fruits, and animals) is highly effective in enhancing children's cognitive development at this kindergarten.

Abstract

In the discussion of Mini Research Group 3, a phenomenon regarding long-term village fund management was raised, regarding transparency and accountability by village government leadership and community oversight, specifically in Juhar Baru Village, Galang District, Deli Serdang Regency. In this case, of course, there is a question that we will raise and we will include in the Mini Research report regarding budget efficiency or fund management for Juhar Baru Village. Is the allocation of funds used by the Juhar Baru Village government on target or not? For example, Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), electricity, water, educational facilities or hospitals and so on. One of our group members, Friska Lorentina Purba, acted as a facilitator to make it easier to ask several questions regarding the problem of village fund management in Juhar Baru Village. This research employs qualitative research methods, involving direct fieldwork to observe current problems or phenomena, and relying on several sources from journals, articles, and books to further strengthen the author's arguments. The results of this study indicate that the management of village funds, allocation of funds, and village budget expenditures are highly transparent and accountable, in line with the strategy implemented by the Juhar Baru village head. This is because the village head and village officials have a strong collaboration in developing village infrastructure, as evidenced by the infrastructure development process outlined in the research findings. However, despite the need for improvements in education, which is still lacking, progress in Juhar Baru Village is already evident when weighed against other needs.

Abstract

In the global discourse of religious and cultural studies, the integration of religious values and local culture is regarded as a strategic approach to developing contextual, inclusive, and sustainable da‘wah practices within multicultural societies. Islam, as a universal religion, possesses an adaptive capacity to engage with social and cultural diversity without compromising its essential teachings. In the Nusantara context, the historical spread of Islam demonstrates the success of cultural da‘wah through the internalization of Islamic values into local traditions, resulting in a form of Islam characterized by moderation, civility, and tolerance. Previous studies have examined the relationship between Islam and local culture, the concept of Islam Nusantara, and various practices of cultural da‘wah. However, most of these studies remain largely descriptive and have not comprehensively conceptualized the integration of Islamic values and local culture as a strategic and relevant da‘wah model for contemporary society. Consequently, a research gap persists regarding the understanding of cultural da‘wah as a strategic framework capable of bridging normative Islamic values and socio-cultural realities. This study aims to analyze the concept of integrating Islamic values and local culture within cultural da‘wah in the Nusantara context and to explain its significance as an adaptive da‘wah strategy in plural and multicultural societies. The findings of this study are expected to contribute to the development of da‘wah studies and the advancement of contextual Islamic scholarship.

Abstract

Quality management and educational supervision are crucial instruments in ensuring the sustainability of the quality of educational output in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the integration between the concept of Integrated Quality Management (MMT) with academic supervision practices within the framework of National Education Standards (SNP). Using descriptive qualitative methods, this study dissects various challenges in curriculum implementation, teacher pedagogical competence, and the role of the principal as a supervisor. As well as the strategic role of both aspects in making education in Indonesia more qualified and quality and supporting the achievement of effective and efficient education. The results of the study indicate that the improvement of educational quality is significantly influenced by the consistency of supervision and collaboration. As well as improving education that has good and equitable quality for students, without differentiating social status, economics, and abilities. Therefore, this study concludes that the transformation of quality management must be supported by strengthening digital literacy for educators and data-based supervision policies. In order to create a harmonious environment and have a strong character.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of digital-based deep learning in improving conceptual understanding and learning motivation for fraction topics among fifth-grade elementary students. Using a mixed methods sequential explanatory design with 28 purposively sampled students, the results show significant improvement: learning mastery increased from 25% (pre-test) to 85.7% (post-test), and students' intrinsic motivation shifted from moderate to high. The findings prove that integrating interactive digital media with meaningful pedagogical design effectively facilitates understanding of abstract concepts and fosters student engagement, offering a promising alternative strategy for elementary mathematics instruction.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital di era Society 5.0 telah mendorong transformasi signifikan dalam sistem pendidikan, tapi sekaligus memunculkan persoalan filosofis yang mendasar. Fenomena dominasi teknologi dalam kebijakan dan praktik pendidikan sering kali menempatkan aspek teknis dan efisiensi sebagai prioritas, sehingga berpotensi mereduksi makna pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis secara kritis implementasi teknologi pendidikan di era Society 5.0 dari perspektif filsafat ilmu. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) terhadap jurnal nasional dan internasional yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tiga temuan utama, yaitu dominasi pendekatan teknokratis dalam kebijakan pendidikan, lemahnya refleksi epistemologis terkait validitas pengetahuan digital, dan minimnya perhatian terhadap dimensi nilai dan kemanusiaan. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya integrasi refleksi epistemologis dan aksiologis agar teknologi pendidikan tetap berorientasi pada tujuan humanistik dan pembentukan manusia seutuhnya.
