Abstract

Title in English. The digital era presents a rapid flow of information and global cultural influences that potentially weaken the understanding and application of national values. The re-actualization of Pancasila is a strategic step to ensure that the state ideology remains relevant and functions as a moral guide in modern society. This study emphasizes the importance of presenting Pancasila values in a contextual and easily understandable manner through value-based digital literacy, creative digital media utilization, and the application of ethical media practices. The strategy also includes strengthening cross-sector collaboration, integrating Pancasila-based projects in education and communities, and adapting Pancasila values to contemporary issues such as equality, digital rights, and environmental sustainability. The findings indicate that this approach can help society understand, internalize, and practically apply Pancasila values, keeping the state ideology alive, relevant, and adaptive to social, cultural, and technological challenges in the digital era. This study confirms that strengthening Pancasila-based digital literacy not only preserves national values but also fosters a critical, participatory, and responsible society amid global dynamics.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of psychological safety on work engagement, with self-esteem serving as a mediating variable among employees in Indonesia. A quantitative approach was employed, involving 283 respondents with a minimum of one year of work experience. The instruments used in this research included the Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES), the Psychological Safety Scale (Plouffe, 2023), and the adapted Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES). Data were analyzed using SPSS and PROCESS Model 4. The findings indicate that both work engagement and psychological safety fall into the high category, while self-esteem is categorized as low yet remains above the hypothetical mean. Psychological safety has a positive and significant effect on work engagement (R² = 0.2683). Self-esteem also demonstrates a positive and significant effect on work engagement. Furthermore, psychological safety positively affects self-esteem, although the contribution is relatively small. Mediation analysis reveals that self-esteem partially mediates the relationship between psychological safety and work engagement, as indicated by a significant indirect effect based on bootstrapping results (BootLLCI = 0.0074; BootULCI = 0.0656). These findings highlight the importance of a psychologically safe work environment and positive self-evaluation in enhancing work engagement. The study provides practical implications for organizations to strengthen supportive work cultures and implement interventions aimed at improving employees’ self-esteem.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the importance of non-formal education in providing learning opportunities for communities who have limited access to formal education. SKB Kota Ambon plays a strategic role in empowering the community through skills training programs, particularly culinary skills. This research aimed to describe the role of tutors in skills learning at SKB Kota Ambon. The study employed a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews with tutors and learners, and documentation. The results revealed that tutors performed three main roles. As informators, tutors prepared systematic learning materials based on lesson plans and modules and applied demonstration and hands-on practice methods to facilitate learners’ understanding. As motivators, tutors created an engaging learning atmosphere, provided encouragement, and built learners’ self-confidence through positive reinforcement and varied teaching strategies. As evaluators, tutors conducted continuous assessments through direct observation of practice, provided constructive feedback, and offered remedial guidance for learners who had not yet achieved the expected competencies. The study concludes that the success of skills learning at SKB Kota Ambon is strongly influenced by tutors’ competence and commitment in carrying out their roles as informators, motivators, and evaluators in an integrated manner.

Abstract

Social ontology is the philosophical study of the nature of social entities formed through collective interactions and agreements in society, as proposed by Peter L. Berger and Thomas Luckmann in The Social Construction of Reality (1966). This article analyzes the dialectical process of reality construction—externalization (the projection of human ideas onto the outside world), objectivation (social structures becoming “objective”), and internalization (individuals adopting them as reality)—as well as John Searle’s contributions on status functions such as money and institutions. Through empirical examples (fiat money, gender norms, the state as an imagined community), ethical implications (power shaping reality), and contemporary relevance (social media, the AI metaverse), the article highlights the fragility of social reality that relies on collective intentionality. A critique of relativism and recommendations for critical deconstruction are offered for the digital age of 2026. Keywords: social ontology, reality construction, Berger-Luckmann, Searle, intersubjectivity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning process, teacher strategies, and instructional activities related to early reading skills in Indonesian language learning for first-grade students at SDN Kalideres 14 Petang. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that in the planning phase, teachers develop teaching modules tailored to learning outcomes, student needs, and the current curriculum. Instructional strategies involve four key components, teaching materials, methods, media, and learning resources, selected based on diagnostic assessments and student characteristics. Learning activities are carried out in a gradual and interactive manner using contextual approaches that incorporate images, songs, games, and the surrounding environment to enhance student motivation and comprehension. The learning process covers five indicators of early reading skills: recognizing letters, reading meaningful and non-meaningful words, reading aloud with comprehension, and listening to texts. This research is expected to serve as a reference for educators and future researchers in improving early reading instruction at the elementary level.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of job satisfaction in mediating the influence of transformational leadership and school culture on teacher performance in public junior high schools (SMP Negeri) in Palembang City. Teacher performance faces challenges like limited teaching innovation and low professional development participation, influenced by inspirational leadership and collaborative culture. Data from 96 teachers used a validated 38-item questionnaire (r-calculated > r-table; Cronbach's Alpha > 0.90), analyzed via classical assumption tests and multiple regression. Results show transformational leadership (β=0.342, p=0.000) and school culture (β=0.259, p=0.000) significantly affect job satisfaction (R²=0.589), all influencing performance (R²=0.684, F=66.467, p=0.000), with job satisfaction mediating (Sobel Z=3.02; Z=3.05). Findings support Parsons' AGIL theory, recommending leadership training and inclusive culture enhancement. In conclusion, job satisfaction strengthens impacts on performance, urging educational management interventions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of digital literacy training on the prevention of online fraud among housewives aged over 50 years in Bunga Tanjung Village, Tanjung Balai City. The increase in cases of digital fraud among the elderly highlights the importance of digital literacy as a preventive measure so that the community can use technology safely. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method through a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects consisted of 30 housewives, with an instrument in the form of a 25-item questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis included prerequisite tests (normality and linearity), variable tendency tests, and simple linear regression tests to see the influence between variables. The results showed that the participants' digital literacy skills were in the high category after participating in the training, as indicated by a significant increase in posttest scores compared to pretest scores. Online fraud prevention also increased significantly, and there was a positive and significant effect between digital literacy training and online fraud prevention, with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 and tcount > ttable (8.384 > 2.084). These findings prove that digital literacy training is effective in increasing the awareness and ability of housewives to recognize and avoid digital fraud. Similar training programs are recommended to be carried out continuously so that the digital resilience of the community becomes stronger.

Abstract

Instagram has transformed from a lifestyle platform into a crucial arena for political contestation, particularly in grassroots social movements such as the '17+8 People's Demands' Movement. This study aims to analyze how digital activism on Instagram facilitates political participation and shapes public agendas through visual rhetorical strategies. Employing a qualitative descriptive method with a library research approach, this study integrates Agenda Setting Theory, Connective Action concepts, and Visual Rhetoric. The results indicate that Instagram facilitates connective action through sharing mechanisms that are personal yet massively connected. Visually, the use of infographics and carousel aesthetics functions to frame complex issues into digestible narratives, thereby succeeding in intermedia agenda setting by moving issues from social media to mainstream public discourse. Findings also suggest that while visuals enhance political awareness, there is a risk of deep issue simplification. The novelty of this study lies in the specific analysis of the role of Instagram's visual instruments as the primary variable in shaping protest agendas in Indonesia.
