Abstract

The background of this study is that students in group B2 of Tunas Rimba Madiun Kindergarten have not achieved their maximum creative and independent character, character learning is carried out conventionally and through verbal and instructional delivery of values. This study aims to describe and analyze the implementation of the investigation group learning model in improving creative and independent character. This study uses a qualitative approach with the type of Classroom Action Research and is carried out in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques use observation and documents. The results of the study show that students' creative and independent character can be improved through the investigation group learning model. Creative character is at a percentage of 55% and increases to 80% in cycle II. While the independent character in cycle I has a percentage of 58% increasing to 87% in cycle II. Thus, the achievement of completeness is in accordance with the performance indicators reaching 80%. The investigation group learning model can improve creative and independent character in students in group B2 of Tunas Rimba Madiun Kindergarten.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) with a multisensory approach on conceptual understanding and mathematical disposition among sixth-grade elementary students studying spatial structures (cubes and blocks). Employing a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design, the research involved 74 students from SDN Jatimulya 11 Bekasi (37 experimental group, 37 control group). Instruments included a conceptual understanding test (30 items, reliability α>0.70) and a mathematical disposition questionnaire (30 Likert-scale items), analyzed using descriptive statistics, assumption tests (normality, homogeneity), MANOVA, and independent t-tests. Results revealed that the experimental group's posttest mean for conceptual understanding was 82.84 (SD=8.29), significantly higher than the control group's 68.51 (SD=10.06), while mathematical disposition scores were 119.05 (SD=9.41) versus 102.05 (SD=10.79). MANOVA confirmed a significant multivariate difference (Wilks' Lambda p<0.001), supported by t-tests (p<0.05 for both variables). In conclusion, multisensory RME effectively enhances conceptual understanding and mathematical disposition simultaneously, recommended for elementary mathematics instruction under the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The management of Islamic educational facilities and infrastructure plays a strategic role in supporting the quality of learning in educational institutions. Well-managed facilities and infrastructure can create a conducive learning environment and support the achievement of Islamic educational objectives. This article aims to examine the role of managing Islamic educational facilities and infrastructure as a supporting factor for learning quality based on previous studies. The research method employed is a literature review by analyzing scientific journal articles and relevant references published over the last five years. The results indicate that effective management of facilities and infrastructure, including planning, procurement, utilization, maintenance, and supervision, significantly contributes to improving learning quality. Optimal management enhances the effectiveness of the learning process, learning comfort, and the motivation of both students and educators. Therefore, strengthening the management of Islamic educational facilities and infrastructure is essential as an integral effort to sustainably improve learning quality.

Abstract

Parenting styles play a crucial role in children’s language development; however, in practice, many parents still apply permissive parenting, which may contribute to the occurrence of speech delay. A lack of supervision, clear boundaries, and consistent communication stimulation can hinder the optimal development of children’s language abilities. This study aims to describe permissive parenting styles among parents of children experiencing speech delay. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research subjects were parents of children with speech delay, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that parenting styles across all subjects were predominantly permissive, particularly the permissive indifferent type, characterized by minimal parental involvement, supervision, and control, as well as a tendency to allow children to act without clear guidance. In addition, permissive indulgent parenting was also identified, marked by emotional involvement and fulfillment of children’s desires without consistent limits. These conditions result in insufficient and ineffective communication stimulation for children. This study highlights the importance of active parental involvement and the implementation of more structured and responsive parenting practices to support optimal language development in children.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis proyek terhadap kemampuan menulis kreatif siswa kelas VIII SMP Cendramata Medan. Penelitian difokuskan pada pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, khususnya keterampilan menulis kreatif yang dikembangkan melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest. Data diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan menulis kreatif yang diberikan sebelum dan sesudah penerapan model pembelajaran, serta observasi selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung.Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa skor rata-rata pre-test siswa sebesar 45,00 dengan standar deviasi 20,33 dan standard error 5,871. Setelah diberikan perlakuan melalui model pembelajaran berbasis proyek, skor rata-rata post-test meningkat signifikan menjadi 78,75 dengan standar deviasi 6,784 dan standard error 1,958 dari total 12 responden. Peningkatan skor lebih dari 70% ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran berbasis proyek mampu meningkatkan kemampuan menulis kreatif siswa secara nyata. Selain peningkatan nilai, siswa terlihat lebih aktif, terlibat dalam proses berpikir kreatif, dan menunjukkan minat yang lebih tinggi dalam menghasilkan karya tulis. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan menulis kreatif siswa. Model ini tidak hanya meningkatkan kualitas tulisan siswa, tetapi juga mendorong mereka untuk lebih mandiri, kreatif, dan bertanggung jawab dalam proses pembelajaran .

Abstract

This study aims to explore the dynamics of psychological well-being among fatherless students at SMK Negeri 4 Surakarta. Using a qualitative method, data were collected through in-depth interviews with seven fatherless students and on guidance and counseling teacher. The results indicate that the students are capable of achieving adaptive psychological well-being across Ryff's six dimensions. Self-acceptance is attained by resolving past conflicts, while positive relations with others rely heavily on the mother figure as the primary pillar. Autonomy develops rapidly as a compensation for the father's absence, and environmental mastery is evident in the ability to manage dual roles between school and work. Students goals in life are identified as concrete and family-oriented, supported by personal growth through vocational education. It is concluded that despite facing emotional vulnerability, fatherless students demonstrate high resilience, where autonomy and purpose in life serve as the main balancing strengths in maintaining their mental health.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of an artificial intelligence-based Deep Learning approach on English learning outcomes of third-grade elementary school students. The research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi- experimental design. The research subjects consisted of 45 students from two elementary schools, namely SDS Alam Madinah School and SD Swasta Plus Ar Rahmaniyah. English learning activities were conducted using Duolingo as an artificial intelligence- based learning application. Data were collected through pretest and posttest instruments, while data analysis was performed using SPSS, including normality tests, homogeneity tests, t-tests, F-tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and correlation analysis. The results indicate a significant improvement in students’ English learning outcomes after the implementation of the AI-based Deep Learning approach. Statistical analysis confirms that the approach has a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes both partially and simultaneously. Therefore, the AI-based Deep Learning approach is proven to be effective in elementary English learning and can be recommended as an innovative instructional strategy in primary education.

Abstract

Misconceptions are a common problem in IPAS learning at the elementary school level and can hinder students’ conceptual understanding and subsequent learning processes. This study aims to analyze the misconceptions of fourth-grade students in IPAS learning using the Four Tier Test method at SD 7 Bulungcangkring. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with fourth-grade students as the research subjects. Data were collected using a Four Tier diagnostic test consisting of four levels: multiple-choice answers, students’ confidence levels in their answers, reasons for selecting the answers, and confidence levels in the given reasons. This instrument was used to identify and distinguish students who correctly understood the concepts, those who lacked understanding, and those who experienced misconceptions. The results showed that students experienced misconceptions at varying levels, particularly in several basic IPAS concepts. These misconceptions were not only caused by a lack of conceptual understanding but were also influenced by incorrect prior knowledge and high confidence in incorrect answers. The Four Tier Test method proved to be effective in revealing students’ conceptual understanding in depth, as it was able to explore students’ reasoning and confidence levels simultaneously. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference for teachers in identifying misconceptions at an early stage and designing appropriate instructional strategies to improve students’ conceptual understanding in IPAS learning. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of using Digital Books Category B2 through the Deep Learning Approach in improving reading comprehension skills of second-grade elementary school students. The main issue raised is the gap between technical reading skills (decoding) and understanding of deep meaning during the literacy transition phase. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the study involved 30 second-grade students in the 2025/2026 academic year. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and assessment of learning outcomes regarding the use of the digital media "Kotak Petualang". Data analysis was carried out in a circular manner including data reduction, presentation, and verification. The results showed a collective success rate of 90%, with details of 25 students (83.3%) in the high category, 2 students (6.7%) in the medium category, and 3 students (10.0%) in the low category. The expressive read-aloud strategy and interactive features of digital books proved effective as scaffolding for students in constructing both literal and reflective understanding. Although effective in increasing interest and engagement, students in the low category still require intensive guidance to achieve independent critical thinking skills. In conclusion, the synergy of Digital Books B2 and Deep Learning can transform literacy learning to be more immersive and meaningful. This integration is a strategic solution to reduce students' cognitive barriers in the digital age.

Abstract

This research investigates the application of the cooperative learning model Team Games Tournament (TGT) in strengthening the mathematical abilities of second-grade students at MI Raudlatul Hasan. A descriptive qualitative design was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The participants consisted of 15 students and one classroom teacher who served as the primary informant. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman framework, involving data reduction, data presentation, and the formulation of conclusions. The results reveal that the TGT model contributes significantly to students’ cognitive growth, particularly in grasping basic operations such as addition, subtraction, and simple problem-solving procedures. Improvements were also evident in affective aspects, including increased motivation, engagement, and confidence during mathematics lessons. Furthermore, students’ psychomotor skills developed through their involvement in game-based learning activities and the use of instructional materials during tournament sessions. Overall, the implementation of TGT creates a supportive learning atmosphere that promotes collaboration, positive competition, and active participation among young learners. The study highlights the need for well-structured planning and a strong facilitative role from teachers to maximize group interaction and enhance students’ mathematical development.
