Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was motivated by the low literacy achievement in the Education Report of SDN Serang 13, which requires targeted intervention. The main objective of the study was to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of the "Our Literacy Window" (Jelita) program in improving students' literacy competencies and interests. This study used a qualitative approach with a survey method with students in grades IV, V, and VI of the 2025/2026 academic year as the main respondents. Data were collected through an online questionnaire in January 2026 covering aspects of attendance, place, time, and activity materials. The results showed that the Jelita program was very effective in building a school literacy ecosystem. This was evidenced by the very high student attendance rate (74.1% always attended), driven by students' intrinsic motivation. The majority of students (89.7%) considered the selection of the school field as the activity location very good because it created a fresh and comfortable atmosphere. In terms of time, 89.7% of students agreed that the implementation on Tuesdays in the first hour was the most effective time when physical condition was still fit. Furthermore, the varied materials, such as storytelling, music, and dialogue, received positive feedback (96.6%) for being easy to understand and engaging. Overall, the Jelita program successfully transformed literacy learning into a fun and meaningful activity. However, improvements to physical facilities, such as field shade and chair repairs, are still needed to ensure the program's sustainability. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya capaian nilai literasi pada Raport Pendidikan SDN Serang 13 yang memerlukan intervensi tepat sasaran. Tujuan utama penelitian adalah untuk menganalisis efektivitas implementasi program "Jendela Literasi Kita" (Jelita) dalam meningkatkan kompetensi dan minat literasi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode survei terhadap siswa kelas IV, V, dan VI tahun ajaran 2025/2026 sebagai responden utama. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner daring pada Januari 2026 yang mencakup aspek kehadiran, tempat, waktu, dan materi kegiatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program Jelita sangat efektif dalam membangun ekosistem literasi sekolah. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan tingkat kehadiran siswa yang sangat tinggi (74,1% selalu hadir), didorong oleh motivasi intrinsik siswa. Mayoritas siswa (89,7%) menilai pemilihan lapangan sekolah sebagai tempat kegiatan sudah sangat baik karena menciptakan suasana segar dan nyaman. Dari segi waktu, 89,7% siswa menyetujui pelaksanaan pada hari Selasa jam pertama sebagai waktu paling efektif saat kondisi fisik masih bugar. Selain itu, materi yang variatif seperti dongeng, musik, dan dialog mendapat apresiasi positif (96,6%) karena mudah dipahami dan menarik. Secara keseluruhan, program Jelita berhasil mentransformasi pembelajaran literasi menjadi aktivitas yang menyenangkan dan bermakna. Meski demikian, perbaikan pada aspek fasilitas fisik seperti peneduh lapangan dan perbaikan kursi tetap diperlukan untuk menjaga keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

This study discusses the importance of classroom facilities and learning environments in supporting the comfort and effectiveness of the learning process at MTsS Al-Ihsan Pamulang, focusing on the physical condition of classroom facilities and learning environments, the management of facilities and infrastructure, and their implications for the learning process. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method with a case study design, while data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the classroom facilities and learning environment at MTsS Al-Ihsan Pamulang are generally adequate to support the learning process, although they do not fully meet the ideal standards. The management of facilities and infrastructure is still contextual and situational, characterized by unstructured planning, unscheduled maintenance, and a simple inventory system. These conditions have implications for the learning process, in which learning can take place functionally, but the comfort of students and the flexibility of teachers in applying learning strategies are not yet optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the management of facilities and infrastructure so that the adequacy of classrooms and learning environments can be improved continuously. Abstract

This research was motivated by the low level of understanding among sixth-grade students at MIS Liki Solok Selatan in learning Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Students tended to memorize the learning materials without fully understanding the concepts. As a result, when they forgot the memorized content, they were unable to explain the material or answer questions at the end of the lesson. In addition, teachers rarely used learning media, causing the learning process to be dominated by verbal explanations, with students acting as passive recipients. The low level of students’ understanding and learning motivation can be addressed through the use of engaging learning media, one of which is graphic media. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education through the use of graphic media at MIS Liki Solok Selatan. This study employed classroom action research (CAR) involving 13 sixth-grade students, consisting of 9 male students and 4 female students. The research was conducted in two cycles using graphic media, while data were collected through questionnaires and tests. The results of the study indicated an improvement in students’ motivation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education after the implementation of graphic media. This was evidenced by: (1) the average learning outcomes and learning motivation before the use of graphic media were low, with an average learning score of 51.53 and learning motivation score of 44.53, which did not meet the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM); (2) the level of learning mastery increased from 51.53 in the pre-cycle stage to 67.30 in cycle I and further increased to 85 in cycle II; (3) students’ learning motivation improved from an average score of 44.53 before the action to 64.23 in cycle I and significantly increased to 84.38 in cycle II. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of graphic media was effective in significantly improving students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based learning media for the subject of Basic Visual Communication Design (VCD), focusing on the basic elements of photography for Grade X students of the Visual Communication Design program at SMK Negeri 1 Pasaman. The study was motivated by the limited use of interactive digital learning media, as the learning process was still dominated by printed textbooks and PowerPoint presentations, which resulted in low student engagement and suboptimal learning outcomes. This research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using an iterative Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) model, consisting of requirement analysis, design and development, testing, and implementation stages. The developed product is a web-based learning media equipped with interactive learning materials, quizzes, tutorial videos, 3D camera objects, a student work gallery, and discussion forums. The research subjects included media experts, subject matter experts, teachers, and Grade X VCD students. Data were collected through validation and practicality questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques. The results indicate that the developed learning media achieved a very high level of validity, with scores of 96.18% from media experts and 98.43% from subject matter experts. In addition, the practicality assessment showed very high results, with scores of 98.12% from teachers and 96.03% from students. Therefore, the web-based learning media is considered valid and practical for use in photography learning and can enhance learning interactivity, facilitate independent learning, and support teachers in delivering instructional content more effectively.

Abstract

Low learning motivation and students' critical thinking skills are still major problems in the learning process, especially in learning dominated by conventional methods and minimal use of digital media. This study aims to develop interactive multimedia that is valid, practical, and effective in improving students' learning motivation and critical thinking skills. This study uses the Research and Development (R & D) method with the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The subjects of this study were 31 fifth-grade students of Sepat 3 Masaran Elementary School. Data collection techniques used learning motivation questionnaires, expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, teacher response questionnaires, and critical thinking ability tests. Research data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the N-Gain Test. The results of the study showed that the interactive multimedia developed was in the feasible category based on the results of the validation test by media experts and material experts, each obtaining an average score percentage of 80.00% and 78.33%, as well as the small group trial student response questionnaire with an average score percentage of 80.00% and a large group trial student response questionnaire with an average score percentage of 79.50%. In addition, the results of the effectiveness test showed a significant increase in students' learning motivation and critical thinking skills after using interactive multimedia compared to before the intervention. Students' learning motivation increased from previously obtaining an average score percentage of 38.71% to 79.03% after using interactive multimedia products. Meanwhile, students' critical thinking skills were in the moderate category with an N-gain value of 0.67. These findings indicate that interactive multimedia is able to create more interesting, contextual learning and encourage students' active involvement in higher-order thinking processes. Thus, the developed interactive multimedia has the potential to be an effective alternative learning media to support improving the quality of learning and developing 21st-century competencies.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students on photosynthesis material caused by limited teaching materials that are less interactive and have not optimally utilized digital media. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of flipbook-based digital science teaching materials in improving students' learning outcomes and critical thinking skills. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research subjects were 18 fourth-grade students of Gebang 2 Masaran Elementary School, with small group tests involving 8 students and large group tests involving all students. Data collection was carried out through observation, teacher and student response questionnaires, pretest-posttest tests, and validation by material experts and media experts. Data analysis used qualitative and quantitative descriptives, including the calculation of average scores and N-Gain. The validation results showed that flipbook-based digital teaching materials were declared suitable for use. The validation of material experts obtained a percentage of 79% (feasible), while the validation of media experts was 78% (feasible). Teacher responses showed a percentage of 80% (adequate). Student responses in the small group test reached 79% (adequate), while in the large group test it increased to 81% (very appropriate). The effectiveness of the teaching materials was shown by an increase in student learning outcomes from an average pretest score of 50.00 to 84.44 in the posttest, with an N-Gain value of 0.69 which is included in the high category. In addition, students' critical thinking skills also increased, from an average score of 8.33 before learning to 15.72 after using flipbook-based digital teaching materials. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the developed flipbook-based digital science teaching materials are declared feasible and effective for use in science learning to improve learning outcomes and critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Conventional learning in mathematics subjects has an impact on low problem-solving abilities and self-regulated learning. This study was conducted to develop interactive mathematics multimedia assisted by Articulate Storyline that is feasible, practical, and effective to improve problem-solving abilities and self-regulated learning of fourth-grade elementary school students. This research is a Research and Development developed with the ADDIE design with 5 stages, namely: Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The subjects of this study were fourth-grade elementary school students. Data collection techniques used were expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, teacher responses, self-regulated learning questionnaires, pretest and posttest results, and learning observations. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that interactive multimedia was proven to be feasible to use with an average score percentage of 77.4% for material expert validation and 79% for media expert validation. The results of the practicality of the media obtained an average score of student responses in small groups of 80% with a good category, and 80.2% with a very good category score for the large group student response score, as well as a teacher response questionnaire with an average score percentage of 80% in the good category. The results of the effectiveness of the media are shown by the pretest results of 53 and the posttest results of 85.6 with an N-Gain result of 0.69 in the moderate category. In addition, from the self-regulated learning questionnaire with an average score percentage of 39.4% in the less good category to 79% in the good category. It can be concluded that interactive mathematics multimedia assisted by Articulate Storyline is feasible, practical, and effective to be used as a learning medium in improving problem-solving abilities and self-regulated learning of elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Islamic-based E-Module for Pancasila and Civic Education (PPKn) on the subject of Norms in Life to instill character in third-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 31 Medan. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. The research subjects consisted of subject matter experts, media experts, language experts, teachers, and third-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 31 Medan. The research instruments included a validation sheet and a practicality questionnaire. The results showed that the developed e-module obtained a validation score of 97% from subject matter experts, 95% from media experts, and 93% from language experts, with the criteria of very feasible. The practicality test results showed a score of 97% from teachers and 94% from students, categorized as very practical. This e-module proved to be effective in improving students' understanding of life norms and instilling Islamic character traits such as honesty, responsibility, discipline, and politeness. Thus, this Islamic-based PPKN e-module is suitable for use as an alternative digital teaching material to support character learning in elementary schools. Abstract

This study aims to improve poetry writing skills through the implementation of the acrostic technique among fourth-grade students of SDN Manggarai 01. The method employed in this study was Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings, involving 30 fourth-grade students of SDN Manggarai 01 in the 2025/2026 academic year. The research procedures included planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. Data analysis in this study was descriptive, consisting of qualitative analysis and numerical data, while data collection techniques included poetry writing tests, observation sheets, field notes, and documentation. The results of the study indicated an improvement in students’ poetry writing skills after the implementation of the acrostic technique, as shown by an increase in the percentage of mastery from 63% in Cycle I to 87% in Cycle II. Based on these findings, the acrostic technique can be used as an alternative learning strategy to support students in writing poetry, particularly at the elementary school level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an Android-based interactive e-module utilizing iSpring Suite as a learning medium for the Science and Social Studies (IPAS) subject in fifth-grade classrooms at SDN 04 Wawonii Utara. The development of this module is motivated by the growing need for engaging and interactive instructional materials that align with the objectives of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model, which consists of four phases: Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The participants involved in the study included 20 students and 2 subject teachers. Data were collected through expert validation, questionnaires to assess user responses, and pre-test and post-test instruments to evaluate learning outcomes. The results demonstrate that the e- module is highly valid (average score of 91%), highly practical (93%), and effective in enhancing students' academic performance, with an average post-test score of 86.2. These findings indicate that the developed e-module is feasible and appropriate for use as an instructional tool in elementary- level IPAS education.
