Pendas : Jurnah Ilmiah Pendidikan Dasar is a journal published twice a year, namely in June and December that aims to be a forum for scientific publications to pour ideas and studies complemented with the results of research related to primary school education. To achieve this, basic education journals will selectively disseminate ideas and studies complemented by quality research results related to basic education, develop an education center to the elementary-school that can produce innovative, creative and original work and tested in the field of education and learning elementary School to be disseminated and implemented for improving the quality of primary-to-national education at the national, regional and international levels.

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) and Teams Games Tournament (TGT) learning models on the mathematics proficiency of fifth-grade students and their interaction with learning motivation. The background of this research is the low mathematics ability of Indonesian students, as reflected in PISA results, which remain below the global average. The research employed a 2x2 factorial experimental design involving 139 students grouped based on the learning model (RME or TGT) and motivation levels (high or low). The results showed that the RME model (average score 85.4) was more effective than the TGT model (average score 82.7). Moreover, students with high motivation achieved a higher average score of 88.1 compared to those with low motivation (average score 79.3). ANOVA tests revealed significant effects from the learning model (F=25.67, p<0.05), learning motivation (F=30.45, p<0.05), and their interaction (F=18.23, p<0.05). This study highlights the importance of innovative learning models like RME and TGT to improve mathematics learning outcomes. Its implications include recommendations for educators to integrate interactive and meaningful approaches that address diverse learning needs. It also encourages further research to develop innovative methods in primary education, particularly to enhance students' preparedness for future learning challenges.

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model and learning motivation on students' critical thinking skills in Science subjects at the elementary school level. The research employs an experimental method with a 2x2 factorial design, involving 130 sixth-grade students from two elementary schools in Surabaya. The sample consists of an experimental class taught using the PBL model and a control class taught using the STAD model. Data were collected through validated critical thinking tests and learning motivation questionnaires. The average critical thinking score of students taught with PBL was 78.5, while students taught with STAD scored an average of 69.8. Hypothesis testing using two-way ANOVA showed an F-value of 15.72 for the effect of the learning model, which is greater than the F-table value of 3.92 at a 0.05 significance level. Additionally, students with high learning motivation scored an average of 81.3, compared to 67.2 for those with low motivation. Hypothesis testing indicated that students with high motivation demonstrated better critical thinking skills than those with low motivation (F-value 12.64 > F-table 3.92). A significant interaction between the learning model and motivation was also found (F-value 8.45). Theoretically, the findings support constructivist theory, which emphasizes the importance of problem-based learning in developing higher-order thinking skills. Teachers need to identify students' motivation levels to provide appropriate support. It is recommended that teachers participate in training to design and implement problem-based learning effectively.

Gardening activities have a significant impact in supporting early childhood development in three main domains: cognitive, affective and psychomotor. This study aims to discuss more about each step of gardening activities and how it impacts on children's cognitive, affective and psychomotor aspects and examine how each step of outdoor learning activities can be an effective learning method to stimulate children's development holistically. In this case researcher used descriptive qualitative method with 2 research techniques, which is a field study in the form of observation in one of the Montessori schools in Yogyakarta and literature study to describe the impact of gardening activities on early childhood development in cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The results showed that the outdoor learning activities of gardening starting from preparing the land, planting seeds, watering and providing fertilizer, until harvesting as implemented in one of the Montessori schools in Yogyakarta turned out to provide meaningful learning experiences and also effectively meet the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor needs of children. This research is expected to be a reference for educators in innovating creative learning designs that focus on real experiences.

Tenses in English are used to convey when an event occurs or someone does something. Tenses are divided into 4 types namely present, past, future, and fast future. Tenses material provides specific guidance in making effective sentences and expressing activities in the past, present, and future. This research aims to analyze students' difficulties in learning English tenses. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through in-depth interviews and participant observation of students of constitutional law at Al-Zaytun Islamic Institute of Indonesia, in learning English tenses. The results showed that 90% of constitutional law students in the Midterm Examination on average only knew 5 tenses out of 13 tenses. This research shows that most students of constitutional law do not have a strong basic understanding of the structure and basic concepts of English grammar, especially tenses. This is due to the lack of emphasis on grammar as well as student interest. Keywords: Tenses, Students, Al-Zaytun

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah masih rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V karena pendidik belum optimal dalam menggunakan model pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran guided inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan desain nonequivalent control group desain. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan sampel sebanyak 46 peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, dan studi dokumentasi. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji ancova dengan pengujian menggunakan bantuan IBM SPSS Statistics 25. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan pada penerapan model pembelajaran guided inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik kelas V Sekolah Dasar.

Non-formal education is important as a complement to formal education, in order to support, strengthen and develop the learning process. In the implementation of education both formal and formal education in the implementation of learning cannot be separated from the curriculum to achieve educational goals. One of the non-formal education is dance studio. Krans Dance Studio is a dance studio located in Situbondo. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze more deeply the planning and implementation of the dance learning curriculum at Krans Dance Studio. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed by reducing, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The conclusion of this research shows that non-formal education, especially in dance learning at Krans Dance Studio Situbondo, plays an important role in developing creativity, preserving local culture, and shaping the character of students. Dance learning in this studio combines dance techniques with exploration of cultural values, which builds students' expressive abilities and innovation. The curriculum implemented is designed to balance the teaching of traditional arts with the times, using structured methods and periodic evaluations. Overall, Krans Dance Studio has succeeded in creating a space that supports the development of young people's creative skills and the preservation of traditional dance.

This research was motivated by a lack of understanding and low student learning outcomes in mathematics subjects, especially in length unit material. This happens because the learning process still takes place conventionally, where creative and innovative learning media have not been used. The aim of this research is to develop learning media based on the scratch application for mathematics subjects for class III students at SDN Pengadegan 07 South Jakarta and to determine the feasibility and effectiveness of this media. This research uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Dick and Carey development model through 10 development stages. The types of data used are quantitative data and qualitative data. The instruments used are interviews, questionnaires and tests. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and questionnaires. The results obtained from the development of scratch application-based learning media products are based on the feasibility results of the design expert validator at 80%, the language expert validator at 84%, the material expert validator at 80% and the results of the feasibility test in small groups obtained at 82% and the test results feasibility in the large group was obtained at 86%. Furthermore, the results of the effectiveness of learning media products in small group trials were obtained at 0.45 with medium success criteria and the results for the effectiveness of learning media products in large group trials were obtained at 0.45 with medium success criteria based on the normality gain (N-gain) test.

Education has an important role in preparing a quality generation. The use of interactive learning media is needed in the teaching and learning process to improve the quality of education. This research aims to develop interactive learning media in the form of comic strips assisted by Problem Based Learning (PBL) for grade IV elementary school students, describe the feasibility of the media, and evaluate its impact on student learning outcomes in Pancasila Education lessons. The method in this study uses Research & Development (R&D) by following the eight steps of Borg and Gall (1981:792). Data were collected through pretest and posttest, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that the comic entitled "Exploring Diversity" is very feasible to use, with a validation percentage of 88.15% from media experts and 98.75% from material experts. The feasibility of this media is supported by responses from teachers and students on the initial trial, with a percentage of 95% of teachers and 86.25% of students. The impact on learning outcomes can be seen from the N-gain of the initial trial which reached 0.764 (76.4%), showing a high and effective improvement. The N-gain in the usage test also showed a positive result, which was 0.759 (76.03%), which indicates the category of high improvement and effective product. Thus, the PBL- assisted Exploring Diversity comic learning media is effective in increasing student engagement and learning outcomes.

Penelitian dan pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan suatu produk yang berupa media pembelajaran komik digital sebagai suatu inovasi pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPS materi runtuhnya kerajaan Kediri. Penelitian Research and Development (R&D) menggunakan metode Borg and Gall yang tahapannya sesuai dengan kebutuhan pengembang dan sesuai dengan produk (pencarian dan pengumpulan data; perencanaan, mengembangkan produk, uji kelayakan produk, revisi hasil uji kelayakan produk, uji coba lapangan dan penyempurnaan produk). Didalam pembelajaran komik digital ini menjadi pelengkap dalam pembelajaran IPS, yang berarti media ditujukan untuk melengkapi materi pembelajaran yang diterima siswa didalam kelas. Media ini penggunaanya dalam pembelajaran harus menggunakan smartphone. Kelayakan produk yang telah dilakukan oleh para ahli dan siswa mendapatkan hasil tanggapan positif. Sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa media komik digital materi kearifan lokal ini layak digunakan didalam pembelajaran dikelas. Media ini memberikan kemudahan, kemenarikan, dan motivasi dalam aktivitas belajar mengajar, sehingga siswa rasa ingin belajar terhadap pembelajaran IPS akan meningkat.

Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri 2 Cepiring memiliki peran penting dalam pengembangan karakter, minat, dan bakat siswa. Penelitian ini menganalisis manajemen mutu kegiatan ekstrakurikuler beserta kedisiplinan siswa. Melalui pendekatan perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa perencanaan yang partisipatif dan sistematis sangat diperlukan untuk menentukan jenis kegiatan yang sesuai dengan minat siswa. Meskipun pelaksanaan kegiatan pada semester pertama berjalan lancar, terdapat penurunan partisipasi siswa pada semester kedua, yang diindikasikan oleh berkurangnya absensi dan dukungan dana. Evaluasi menunjukkan pentingnya penguatan sistem komunikasi antara manajemen, pelatih, dan siswa, serta pengembangan program yang lebih variatif dan menarik. Disiplin siswa meningkat melalui keikutsertaan dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, namun tantangan muncul ketika minat siswa tak terpenuhi. Melalui rekomendasi untuk meningkatkan komunikasi, membangun variasi kegiatan, dan memberikan penghargaan bagi siswa, diharapkan manajemen mutu ekstrakurikuler menjadi lebih efektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan yang baik mampu menghasilkan kontribusi yang signifikan terhadap prestasi dan pengembangan karakter siswa. Kesimpulan menyarankan perlunya kolaborasi yang kuat antar semua pihak untuk mengatasi tantangan yang ada. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler di SMP Negeri 2 Cepiring diharapkan dapat berkontribusi secara optimal dalam pembentukan kedisiplinan dan pengembangan kompetensi siswa.
